Jun 17, 2024
I'm not even on this right now, so that's me every day before I take my

medication

and that's me every day until about one o'clock before I take the

medication

, but what exactly does it feel like to take it? ADHD medications in short, my brain goes from sounding like this to sounding like this hello hello hello hello hello it's pretty calm yes yes there are generally two types of stimulant medications: the fast, short-term, fast-acting type and some of the powerful medication and then you have a slow long term rise and a gradual decline, but very long lasting, so my

first

experience

of taking ADHD medication came a few days after my diagnosis, for starters my medication came post-methylphenidate and I

took

a stopwatch and I went for a walk in the woods with my dogs just to give myself space to be able to observe what it was going to do to me, how it was going to affect me and about 30 to 35 minutes in I started to feel these little tingles, these little bursts. in my hands and my feet and then shortly after that peace and this was the only thing that made me cry and break down because suddenly my whole life had been a million miles an hour of thoughts and brain activity and suddenly a thousand miles an hour and I was thinking "My God, this is how normal people think" the whole

time

my grogginess had worn off.

I was able to stay longer on a single thought before my brain switched to another. I was able to almost physically guide my attention to things. and I think because of this piece that I had, my senses were heightened. I was feeling it and I still feel it now. I feel the cold on my fingers and even the air blowing through my hair. And I'm sure I already felt it. all those things, but my brain was so busy that it was never able to register them in real

time

, it was nothing short of incredible and I stood there in the middle of this forest and cried with joy and sadness.

More Interesting Facts About,

This morning I felt myself realizing what my life could have been like if I had had these medications and this diagnosis as a child and suddenly everything opened the floodgates and everything came crashing down around me like the enormous impact this undiagnosed ADHD had had. on me, so how does this type of medication make me feel on a daily basis? Well, after you've taken one of these little short-acting tablets, in about 30 minutes, you get this surge of energy in your muscles. It gets a little tense and the climb is very, very fast once you're within what I would say about the 60 minute mark, then you have a good two and a half hour energy window.

Focus, motivation, alertness throughout the things that are really useful in daily life and then almost as quickly in about 20 to 40 minutes. I would say you get the comedown and it's not gradual at all, it's very, very rapid, so it means you can feel it and there are no side effects in terms of, like, a hangover once you stop drinking, more so, you get that juxtaposition. very clear between what your brain is like on ADHD meds and what it's like after, and you almost rub it in your face a little bit of, "This is where you could be, but this is where you are now.

I hope that makes sense, but then "L bands are 12 hours for me, I take it and within 60 minutes, I would say, I start to notice the effects." yes I am trying to notice the effects because it is very mild and a very gradual build up towards the two hour mark I am alert my lightheadedness has gone I am concentrating on all the same things that happen with methylphenidate, the short acting one, but this has increased very slowly for two hours and stays there for about eight hours for me. At parts I will have waves of nausea that last maybe a minute but not very often and only when I haven't eaten, that's usually the biggest one and when I'm in this elvance I can deal with the world, that's all I I can say, so what are the positive effects of ADHD medications that I discovered?
They have changed my life, but when I say they change my life, I'm not talking. Whether positive or negative, it has allowed me to change my perspective and give me a greater understanding of the needs I have compared to a neurotypical person. It has allowed me to focus and complete the most mundane daily tasks. Plus, there's anxiety, which is also slightly eliminated because I'm more focused and have fewer things I put off and forget. When I am taking the medicine, the anxiety also disappears, so I feel more confident. I feel like I can accomplish these things much better.
The negative aspects of this medication for me. I'm lucky. I get very little other than a little nausea from time to time and forgetting to eat, but then I make up for it once the medication wears off... um, I don't get as much because my medication is correct, if I overdose and I take two because I forgot to take it, I already

the

one, it will kill me, of course. will and that's where a lot of the negative connotations come in with this type of medication, when you have children overmedicated and zombified, it's only because their doctors are not giving them the right dosage or the right type of medication, so I hope you found this helpful , revealing in some ways, these are just my
