I was able to almost physically guide my attention to things. and I think because of this piece that I had, my senses were heightened. I was feeling it and I still feel it now. I feel the cold on my fingers and even the air blowing through my hair. And I'm sure I already felt it. all those things, but my brain was so busy that it was never able to register them in real

time

, it was nothing short of incredible and I stood there in the middle of this forest and cried with joy and sadness.

This morning I felt myself realizing what my life could have been like if I had had these medications and this diagnosis as a child and suddenly everything opened the floodgates and everything came crashing down around me like the enormous impact this undiagnosed ADHD had had. on me, so how does this type of medication make me feel on a daily basis? Well, after you've taken one of these little short-acting tablets, in about 30 minutes, you get this surge of energy in your muscles. It gets a little tense and the climb is very, very fast once you're within what I would say about the 60 minute mark, then you have a good two and a half hour energy window.

Focus, motivation, alertness throughout the things that are really useful in daily life and then almost as quickly in about 20 to 40 minutes. I would say you get the comedown and it's not gradual at all, it's very, very rapid, so it means you can feel it and there are no side effects in terms of, like, a hangover once you stop drinking, more so, you get that juxtaposition. very clear between what your brain is like on ADHD meds and what it's like after, and you almost rub it in your face a little bit of, "This is where you could be, but this is where you are now.

They have changed my life, but when I say they change my life, I'm not talking.
