It comes super well packaged inside the bag, the only prep work I had to do for this super delicious recipe was to chop this green onion while the mushrooms came pre-cut, which we love to see here are all my ingredients ready to go with just look at them. the recipe from there I cook my mushrooms and a little olive oil, season them and also start cooking my pasta once the mushrooms are nicely browned. I make my cream sauce which is butter, green onion flour and I also use a little bit of pasta water as well as milk, once it thickens a little bit I add cream cheese, season it and just add my pasta with mushrooms in this delicious herb butter and honestly, it's ready, topped with green onions and cheese and delicious, just like dinner is ready, I'm literally. about to sit down and devour all of this who doesn't love pasta again if you want to check out hellofresh and get 22 free meals plus free shipping be sure to click the link in my description and use my code again.

A big greeting. to hellofresh for sponsoring this video. Well, like I said, I'm really excited about the TBR of this video and that's because I'm basically in the middle of a lot of

books

that I love and instead of being logical and focusing on finishing. the

books

that I've already started and that I'm liking, I'm going to add another book to the mix and I'm only going to read like

three

or four books throughout this whole video because I feel like I'm on a roll and everything is great, so I'm wondering Why not invite more to the party.
You know, the more the merrier, but let's talk about the books, so it's probably about a thousand pages in here, but the first book. I am currently reading Fans of Mourning by Brandon Sanderson. This is actually a book I'm listening to via audio and I've been really enjoying it while puzzling. This is the third book in Mistborn Era 2 and I was planning on reading it as such. of these a month and I ended up reading I don't know one last month one this month and I'm on my third book of the month I just can't stop reading them the plot just everything has been so entertaining and the audiobooks are really impeccable the next book that's on my TBR is Nemesis Games.
I'm already two-thirds of the way through this book. This is book five of the expansion series and in some ways this is a series that literally gets better with each installment. this book is just crazy, the plot is in play, the character is in play, everything about it has me absolutely hooked, I can't put it down, I read basically all of this in about two days, I was on a plane for most of it Part of the time, my hope is to finish this. book in the course of this Vlog. I mean I have about 200 pages left so I feel like it shouldn't be hard at all again because literally every time I publish this book I read it for hours and hours, it's so good. it's so good, so good and last but definitely not least I want to start with Leigh Bardugo and just read as much of this as possible, another book I've been dying to read in anticipation of the release for what seems like years, the sequel . to the much loved 9th house Dark Academy occult murder mystery that follows our main character Alex who is at Yale University is very good and I feel like all of these books will get 5 out of 5 stars for different reasons, all They're just going to destroy my life in very different ways, which feels like a trifecta of an experience if you're wondering what other books I could read.
I have some manga I need. read before my library loan expires, so I might as well read more of the Spy X family or something, but yeah, here's my little stack of books. I'm very excited about everything here. In fact, I think right now. I'm going to listen to some of my audiobooks and work on my puzzle since I'll have it up in a few days and it feels like a nice relaxing way to spend some time. I think maybe I'll try to finish the long series sooner. I started determinedly, but I'm not sure I have the willpower to do it, but time will tell, time will definitely tell, we are welcome to the beginning of the Vlog.
I am very excited. It is coffee time. May you all have a pleasant afternoon. coffee moment that we love to see before I start puzzling, as you can see I'm getting ready to do it, let's set the stage, but where I'm at in the morning bands, I'm about a third of the way through chapter seven, which I want . saying it's maybe like 20 of the way through this book um, the audiobook is spectacular. I feel like I'm talking about the audiobook ad nauseum at this point, but if I remember correctly, the third book is my favorite, so I'm digging.
I really want to experience it again, because the truth is that I am very addicted and I am also addicted to this puzzle that is so cute, let me show you look at this look at all these adorable plants. I'll try to link it below. I bought it on the internet, so anyway it's time to start, time to listen, time to solve some puzzles, enjoy my cup of coffee. The Works updated the puzzle progress. I worked on this section today and then went for a walk because it's 75 degrees outside of Texas. Right now, which is a little strange for January, but undeniably beautiful, which also led me to listen to 50 pages of Bands of Morning.
I read

three

chapters, it's so good and just getting better and better, like the action of the third book is right away. so now I'm going to start having dinner here soon, it's around five. In fact, I think I'm going to read some more. I'm going to switch to the Nemesis games. I'm not kidding, but I'm literally saying I'm addicted. all the books I'm currently reading and feel like I have joint custody. I'm trying to split my time evenly between all of these books, so I think I'll make some tea and read some more. Millie in the background because she's ready for dinner because it's her dinner time too, so that's the plan. 50 pages down for this Vlog, let's keep the momentum going.
These are the two teas I've had recently, I think. I'm going to make this one and I'll like this little steeper heart tea, she's cute, right, this tea is steep. The book is here and the cozy fireplace is lit. Matilda has also joined me with her bowl in the process of doing what I do best, which is making soup tonight. The soup is chicken, wild rice, like a creamy soup, so all in one pot. I'm just waiting for it to boil. I'm going to cook for about 45 minutes. I had the latest things. I'm also making this as a sage garlic butter, which sounds delicious.
To top it all off, I'm excited that dinner is served, it looks delicious and I have a lot of it. The best thing about our rice-based soup is that it will become a delicious soup. You'll have very little liquid left in the leftovers, which is just delicious in its own unique way, you know, I'll catch up on some of my bravo shows with Matilda because I also went and bought some chocolate and, uh, my change , hello friends, so I'm already settled in bed, we're about to do it. a short reading session. In fact, I'm about to start hell right now.
These books are very difficult to read, but before I jump into a whole new book, I want to talk a little bit about the Nemesis games from James Quarry's essay, so this. is book five in the expanded series, which gets better and better with each installment, which is incredibly impressive. I talked a lot about the series, so I'm going to be brief and specific for this fifth installment, but this is Space. The opera series is a first action series, many different perspectives, many different characters, each book introduces us to new characters, sometimes we don't see them again, sometimes they come back, but with each installment, James, I mean, Corey is a kind of building this world and all these different connections and I feel like with this fifth book it's really capitalizing on a lot of those connections;
It's the first installment where we have our main group of characters split in many different directions and it's creating not only a fantastic plot but also wild tension and also seeing how the characters interact individually. I think it's great for his solo character development. I feel like this is one of the first installments where every character feels I hate to use the word nice, but I like a lot of the characters in this book, but some characters like James Holden for example can seem a little plain, but I think this finally everyone feels, at least to me, as a very nice character and you would say: wow, fifth!
Book in Shouldn't you already like the characters? Yes and I have liked them in the past but The Shining Glory of this series is the plot as if each book is fascinating, intense, full of twists and turns, but for different reasons, it's not like we have one thing and he goes up the bet in the same direction, like each book goes in a different direction, but still expanding that sci-fi plot, this, oh my God, like you see how everything has come together to get us to this point. in book five and we're also seeing some characters we haven't seen in a minute, which is also cool.
I think the consequences and the stakes at the table itself have been thrown overboard, let's say in this fifth. book that creates just one of the most action-packed installments I've read in a long time, so it's really hard to put down and it's not just that it has a plot, but without substance, it really has it all with this one, this is from Hasta Now, I feel like the best one in the series in terms of having it all and it's also the first one where I feel like we're just following the team and we don't have grueling stories that don't have an immediate connection to the team itself, which I think. which is an interesting choice, but it's working because the series hasn't been paced very well, um, yeah, I mean, gosh, I feel like this is going to be the series.
I have to catch up on the extended series this year, it's too much. Okay, but yeah, I love this. I read a good 40 or 50 pages before I made dinner, but now I'm going to start working hard because I want to get started on this book. My hope is to read about 100 pages. Before I fall asleep, inevitably, reading at night is always difficult because I immediately get sleepy, it doesn't even matter what time it is, when the sun goes down I get tired, so let's read a little now, but tomorrow it will be a great read . day really my hope is that we do a little, we'll see how far I can go with all these books.
My hope is that I can go far with all of them. I'm trying. I'm making some tomato sauce. here, anyway, good night, good morning, Matilda is loving and relaxing on this stool as she should. I made a fruit bowl and I owe you all a reading update, so I'm very happy to report that I have read 120 pages of Hell Bent in the. Uh, I've been reading this book for a few hours. I'm happy to say that, like the other two books I'm reading for this Vlog, it's such a quick read, entertaining, and really brings you back to this world if you're not there.familiar with him.
This Leigh Bardugo series is very, very dark and I would also warn that there are a lot of trigger warnings, so look for those that have to dive into this series, but this is like a Dark Academy, cult thriller story that we follow. The main character, Alex, who is basically given a second chance at life in a hospital room and is basically recruited by this prestigious, sketchy organization to go to Yale, attend Yale as a student, and also be part of this committee. supervisor who investigates all the different secret societies on campus and their use of magic here's the deal Yale, for one reason or another, is so close to many similar power centers and many of these really ancient secret societies have connections to that use of power, some of it is legitimate, some of it isn't, but it's up to her and the organization she's now involved in to make sure that they don't like to go overboard in the use of that power. said that it's still full of rich, privileged, and spoiled individuals, so obviously there will be a lot of overuse at the beginning of book one, although things start to get out of hand when murders start happening on campus structurally, as I would.
To describe this series is that there are definitely general things between the books, but it almost also reads like I don't want to say mystery of the

week

, but there is definitely a central mystery in book one that we investigate with our main character Alex and his friends. on campus and it was eventually resolved again, everything that happened in book one had consequences, which brings us to what happens in book two, but the heart of this novel is our main character, Alex, she herself has some skills that have to do. with the undead and how that relates to this kind of powerful nature of these secret societies that are definitely using powers that maybe humans shouldn't touch, they think like the underworld and things like that.
What I really enjoy about this series is I just like the pompous nature of the setting, this kind of dark magical, hyper-academic connection, it's just fascinating and the vibe that Leigh Bardugo was able to create on campus works so well as if you were fascinated by it, but you also hate everyone involved. the ceremonies are so disturbing and so wrong, but you also can't stop reading, you know what I mean, going into book two, there are quite a few mysteries at play and I think the way Leigh Bardugo also writes mysteries is what makes these books so compelling. riddles upon riddles and again, a lot of this is tied to the underworld.
There are a lot of academic clues and library research, but also real-world dangers and current reality, so you, on the one hand, say, "Oh, I'm curious to know how." This mystery of this puzzle will be solved, but it's also impacting people in real life, which I think is what Leigh Bardugo likes in trying to play around with criticizing this kind of Dark Academy. A first approach to solving puzzles, but also pointing out that it is. It's not a game, it has real life consequences and people in real life probably those who don't have much power are actually getting hurt.
Book one was explosive. We have a lot going on in book two and I'm just curious to see how it goes. Developing it is addictive because again there is a puzzle at the heart of this book, but it is also a very disturbing puzzle and I am really interested to see how Alex will solve it. One thing. Alex is our main character. We saw a lot of character growth in the last book, seeing her make connections and friends, so having some kind of network to rely on and also work on, and the second book is really nice to see, obviously, although there's a lot of stuff about Alex's past that are incredibly traumatic and those things are still showing up and existing in the second book as well and they also inform a lot about his character and how he likes to act in different situations, but so far this book definitely provides the exciting messy hidden academia . environment that I was waiting for and I am very curious to see how it will continue to develop because the first one kept building and building and building sorry I am shaking this work and I have a feeling that the second book is going to too because I read the first 120 pages very quickly and That was all already set up anyway, so that's where we are.
I have listened a lot so far for this Vlog. I want to say like 250 pages in the last 24 hours. Let's keep that momentum going I want to read everything right now, so cheers, lunch is served Hello friends, it's time for coffee, so some Hershey Kisses and I'll listen to my audiobook and do some disconcerting help I hear. three hours of that audiobook. I'm almost done with this damn puzzle. Look at it, look at it. Sometimes when I like to listen to too much audio and I'm too focused, I feel like I want to go back to the surface and I feel like I'm dissociating. a little bit, but we are here where it is happening.
I just started the third part of Bands of Morning. I only have about five hours left of this book and I think I just checked the page number on my 250th page, or more than 250. I read this audiobook very, very quickly and honestly, it's very easy to get addicted to a puzzle and a audiobook when the audiobook itself is so good, it's definitely the best of the Wax and Wayne series so far, it's hard to talk about it without spoiling it, but just take it. For me, the characters are very likable and I find myself laughing out loud quite often, especially every time Wayne opens his mouth.
I feel like the humor comes and goes, the plot interesting and intricate, and little by little you start to see this image that Brandon Sanderson is building. Through all the books and how it culminates in this installment and obviously moving on to the next book, I'm trying to stop puzzling, but I physically can't stop just the last book I reserved at the library, so I hope Holden holds it back . He's coming soon and I'll probably finish this whole quartet before you know it, but I'll take a break from this puzzle. I think I'll finish this puzzle very easily tomorrow.
I don't have much left. I'm not even sure what I did today, but I did a lot today. I liked this section, but anyway, this puzzle is very cute, it really comes together, I love watching it, you know what I mean, the second round of soup is That's right, Millie, this looks even better. The next day The Traitor started and I'm so addicted it's like Multiverse Bravo Liberties and a murder mystery story too good. Hello friends, I'm in bed, I have a mask on, uh and I. I'm about to read some more again. I'm 120 pages in hoping to read another decent bit tonight and then obviously read a bunch more tomorrow morning and all day I've been addicted to that reality TV show. which was a bit unexpected, an unexpected development, oh, Matilda is coming, oh, she wants to be on the covers, but I'm getting back on track with my reading.
I feel like I've still read quite a bit, honestly, almost 300 pages, so I'm going to take that as a victory, but I'm going to stay focused and on track and read a little more right now. Good morning world, let's have some coffee, greetings everyone, such good news. I was able to read a page like 200 of hell bendt last. At night the book is great and again, because there is a central mystery and puzzles at the center, it propels you through it, not to mention the book is written in a way, I don't want to say disjointed, but we are It's like jumping everywhere as far as the timeline goes, there's like a current timeline that has a lot of urgency behind it because you're trying to solve this mystery again in a very condensed way, we're also going back in time.
Just a little bit to give us a little context on some things that happened to Alec even before the start of the semester, they just created a lot of tension and were very hard to let go of, so anyway it's morning, obviously I'm going to sit down and read more now before work. and then I have to get ready and start the day, unfortunately I want to spend the whole day reading, but unfortunately I will also finish my puzzle today, which I love, I love seeing it. Hi, it's so sunny, which I'm not complaining about. about um, but I wanted to show you my outfit.
I have this zip up swan sweater. I actually got it on a great sale and then I'm just wearing jeans from a variety of things that I need to do today, but before I do them. I wanted to do a reading update, so I'm going to go back to the library space because I read another 50 pages and this morning, and before I do anything else, I want to do a reading update because I already officially read the page that I'm officially on. page 230 of this book and I really like it. I briefly mentioned the pacing and all that, and it has a great fall vibe to it.
Obviously I'll read it in January, but it would be a spectacular fall. read one, back to school season, there's a lot of fall, college semester, vibes mixed with all the terrible things going on, like Halloween, there's all these references to the occult and hell, hence the name Hell Bent, and I think all these things together. I'm just creating such a fascinating atmosphere and I'm fascinated. I will also say that I personally am not very well versed in, let's just say, religious iconography, um, because this book obviously references hell, there's some of that and I feel like Lee Borduko.
He does a good job of explaining it to me personally anyway because, again, I don't know much. I don't know much about religion, but I'm going to read more this afternoon anyway, but I'm going to have lunch and get some. More work done, done first. I'm also going to finish my puzzle, which is a priority item for today, especially since I recently acquired some new puzzles, so I have to keep rolling, you know what I mean, but anyway. I'm just happy because I feel like I'm making great progress with this book. Great progress with the other books.
I'm also reading for this video. Three books at a time. There's a lot to juggle, but we're doing the best we can. I'm finishing this puzzle. Why are my bangs like this? He doesn't know I have chocolate chip cookies. I have coffee. This puzzle is being completed right now. Foreign. The puzzle is officially complete and I listened to like four more chapters of my audiobook, so I feel very productive, very excited. It's officially time for the evening and I'm actually going to start making dinner for myself, which we saw in the sponsored portion of this video, that's what it is, but on the front end and I'm excited that it's one of my favorite recipes. , so I'll show them to you. the end results when I relax and eat it in the living room, but I'm going to physically cook it now, does this allow you to time travel?
Vibes just finished making this, it really looks amazing. Matilda thinks so too and so do I. I'm going to sit down and eat this and watch some Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Hello, I'm in bed with a mask. I completely lost track of time because I was watching that reality show called Traders, but it's officially time to get serious about reading. um, as I mentioned, I'm on page 230. I really want to read a good part of it right here right now. I'm going to put in a fake fireplace to get to work. I really want to finish tomorrow, that's my goal and I think I can succeed in completing that goal, plus I'm almost done with the mourning fans and I'm also almost done with the Nemesis games since I need to finish some of these readings and I think I'm going to be able to do it so I'm in the prize it's time to read good morning friends we have some fruit we have some coffee I'm deciding between reading the Nemesis or Hell Bent games with which I'm almost officially finished hello friends I owe you an update reading because I have about 70 pages left of Hell Bent.
If there's one thing I can say about this book, it reads very, very quickly, plus the structure is interesting and I think it's because I think this book, the series was originally supposed to be like eight or nine books. You get the feeling that it could easily be like a serialized mystery of the week, urban fantasy, trivia story, Alex Turner's main character solves some kind of demonic problem with each book and that vibe exists a lot in the series which I personally like . I know it's going to be a trilogy, so I'm curious to see how it all plays out, but the puzzle-focused nature of this book is very much present and I also think it provides similar elements to some of the ones that made it. to the story too um, I'm almost done, I would say that a lot of the mystery has been solved and I almost like that it's very interesting because I didn't guess it, but I also feel stupid for not guessing it.
If that makes sense, I was reading some reviews and people were saying, oh, it was obvious but it was entertaining. I didn't guess it, but it's entertaining, so take it with what you're going to do, think like all kinds of academic references. and this kind of ancient secret society situation is simply areally cool concept that Leigh Bardugo is building really well and in this book we also have more characters introduced to the party or the relationships develop further which I really like, I think seeing Alex. Severe teamwork with people and watching her try to trust or try to reach out and get close to people, which is obviously due to a lot of the trauma that she's experienced, is very difficult for her.
I also think she just adds a more dynamic nature to the dialogue and other types of food dynamics that are happening in this book. um, I don't have much left, so we'll see how it all turns out. I have a feeling I'm going to have an unbearable cliffhanger in I'm finishing this and I don't even know how long I'll have to wait until the next installment, but I'm finishing this book this morning. I think I just want to get changed and start the day. I started, but there's no way I can keep going today without reading these last 70 pages and once I do, I think I'll have read quite a bit, like almost 800 pages this week and then I'll continue and then I'll create.
I'm going to start a new puzzle and get back to my audiobook and maybe also read some of the Nemesis games this afternoon, but I have a lot of things I need to do. I woke up early on purpose to start reading, so we'll focus on finishing this, we'll finish it, and then I'll spend the rest of the day just reading the good news for everyone. I finished with all my strength so I could finally continue with the rest of the day. Ramen for lunch, a tasty Friday treat, hello friends, I feel like I've given enough thought to my final thoughts and feelings about hell, hell-bent on finishing this book.
I liked it, I wouldn't say it was a 5 out of 5 star read for me. but it was definitely like a four out of five stars. I felt it very compulsive, very addictive. It didn't blow my mind as much as the first one, but I'm excited to see where the series ends. I think the concept, the characters, the setting are really smart and effective, especially for the kind of direction Leigh Bardugo was trying to take for a solid second installment. I don't have any major complaints, I just wouldn't say with the hype I went into this book that it was as mind-blowing and earth-shattering as I expected, that being said for the rest of this Vlog I'm going to try to listen to as many bands as possible. in the morning as possible, although I like emails, I have a lot of work like, um, not busy, but I don't have meetings or anything, it's all very trivial.
I can't think of the actual term, but I definitely could. multitasking like that's what I'm trying to say, so hopefully I'll listen to a couple more hours of this and then I'll let you know my page count. I think I've listened to about 200 pages of this by The end of this Vlog is easy, it's very good and very entertaining and I can't wait to read Lost Battle soon, but that's where I'm at. I have read this Vlog a lot and I am very satisfied even with it. Although I was multitasking maybe too many books. I usually don't read that many books at once, but this time I feel like since they were all good, I wanted to read all the books as quickly as possible so I could get back to the other one, if that made sense, but I have to go to my book anyway. computer now, so I'm going to fire up my audiobook and we'll get to work and welcome to the end of the Vlog the next day.
I wanted to publish it quickly. I go in and chat about everything I was able to read over the course of this vlog because it was actually quite a bit, first of all, I obviously listened to a lot of dueling bands which ended up making up about 200 pages of this book. I'm very close to finishing it and will definitely finish it in the next few days. Listen to the audiobooks for this one if you haven't already, if you're looking to re-read it because The Last Battle just came out, check out the audio experience apparently there's also an even more intense audio experience if you're interested in that, but I I had a great time.
I also read 150 pages of the Nemesis games which I also plan to finish probably today. Book five is just incredible. I feel like each book in this series just keeps getting better and better, and I don't even understand how that's possible. I can't wait to read book six soon, so it's 350 pages and then I'll read Hal in its entirety as well. Bent by Leigh Bardugo, which puts me ahead of Mark's 800 pages over the course of this week, another highly anticipated release and one I really enjoyed from start to finish. Page Turner compulsive and absolute, obviously, I've talked quite a bit about this book.
In the course of this Vlog with these three books, I must say that it was a very successful reading blog in terms of similar quality. I had a lot of fun reading all of these for different reasons, just look at how chunky this thumbnail looks, but anyway. I hope you enjoyed this video again. A big shout out to the sponsor of this video, which is very new. I'll have a link to his site as well as my offer code below, but thank you so much for watching and I'll see you soon with another video. soon goodbye
