I Played Minecraft for 1200 Days.. (1.16 Survival)

Jun 07, 2021
In today's video I play another 200

days

of Minecraft, bringing our total to

1200

days

. I've been working on this video for the last month and boy, do we get a lot done. Hi Emily, yes Emily, who I'm talking to. you're subscribed you better be emily for other people not named emily imagine all emily is freaking out right now anyway if you want to subscribe that would be great and leave a like too since the last video reached over a hundred thousand, that's kind. crazy let's get into the video and see if I can believe it. I can't believe we are back in this world starting the thousandth day and we get right to work after taking a little look at our castle going and moving.

Our beacon doesn't see much use here anymore, so I thought I'd grab it and take it somewhere else, but before we do that, we need to do things to prepare us for this video and some of those. things include going all the way and fixing all our tools with the very loud and annoying enderman farm and as you can see here we fixed all our tools, headed home, slept in our big old triple bed here in a little gazebo and we left. for day 1001 and here I found the center of where my end portal was and then placed my beacon on the surface at the exact center point where the end portal is located.

Place the full beacon down, as you can see, I activated it here in some haste and You're probably thinking, Joel, why are you doing so well? We're going to work on a small project and that project requires some space, so of course we have to clear that space and we spend the first nine days just cutting down trees. and dig up stone and rock by flattening this place, which is the equivalent of an hour and a half. Yes, I do. It would have taken a lot longer without the beacon though, but you can see how much wood, stone and dirt we have here, a ridiculous amount.

We also had a bad omen effect, so I had to get rid of that real quick before waiting until nighttime so I could kill some skeletons, as I had seen a little one hanging around while I was cleaning up a bit and found it again. It is this. There's a little wolf here, and of course any project needs a pet, so after a bit of fighting, we tamed this guy and brought him into the little area we were working on. We put a blue collar on him and named him Marty Mcfly, Mardi's mascot, because why not? but speaking of projects, one project I hate is my vine farm, it doesn't work very well and I hate it, so I thought, you know, let's start over and make a new vine farm, so I started gathering a bunch of materials .

We'll need a lot of trap doors but luckily we had so much wood clearing that area that we didn't have to worry, we also had a lot of wool and then we headed to the ocean right next to our lizzy portrait and I started building here and making a little platform and here it is where we are going to build our new creeper farm. This is a vine farm that I built before in my Minecraft objective world a long time ago. It requires some time. Magma requires some stone and some other little things, plus one of them is glass, as you can see here, I'm melting some glass in my super foundry and so we're already on day 12, somehow I said hello to Gerald. a stupid friend and gerald himself took some iron from my iron farm and gathered all these weird kinds of different resources i was going to need, including rails, hoppers, glass, redstone, you know, the basic stuff you need for farms automated and to build this thing in the ocean.
It was quite annoying, as you can see here, it's quite uncomfortable. I kept losing blocks in the ocean since it is quite high and I also kept falling on the magma cube and taking damage. I also had to place some under the magma cube while we were at it. We'll have our rail pickup system here, which was also very awkward to build, but we finally set up all the bottom parts and now what we need to do is create this kind of pattern here. I think this original design is from logic geekboy, so I'll be sure to link his tutorial in the description, but I was just copying it from my Minecraft objective world.
I'm not sure it's the most efficient farm, but it used to work very well in that goal world and of course. like most creeper farms it involves cats so we brought the cats nearby so we could raise them while we built this farm and you can see here we are creating a layer of this thing and the best thing about this farm is that you can just make so many layers however you want, I think I ended up choosing nine. You can also see how stressful and annoying it is to build this farm, but I thought I would show you the construction process of what I have to do and us.
Basically I just have to do this over and over again and it's pretty boring, so I thought, you know what? After moving our cats to a slightly closer platform so we could move them more easily later, I decided to do a time lapse, so I did. and you can see here all the layers that are building up. It took me about four or five days to completely finish this. Well, it's not completely finished. You'll see I need to add a roof later, but I got to the point where we could start adding. the cats and oh wow, this was a disaster.
I am so sorry for the cat lovers, as you were about to see the murder of many cats, one drowned there, another died in the magma blocks there, it was just a mess all around, actually I finally had this little system here where I brought them up here and I thought it was perfect, we can make them cross and I thought it was perfect the first time I tried it, it worked perfectly, we put this little cat in the center, here we drop it. down and after quite a while of pushing it towards the center we got it in there, but we also had another cat drowned somehow, it was falling off the platform, I don't know, cats were dying left and right and in the center, so I had to go and get more cod to breed more cats as they were dying so often it was getting a little sad, so far we only have one cat and three others have died, these guys really don't want to be part of this farm, As you can see here, I brought this one and it just landed on the magma blocks and died instantly, so that was fine.
I had to wait for more cats to be bred, so in the meantime I got to work on the collection system. Below are these rails here and it's very similar to the other pickup systems I've done on my other builds in the past; However, this one is much more complicated to place, but we set it all up and ran it. It took us about a day or so to order the rails and then it took about another day to get the redstone up and running, as you can see here, only a comparator, a repeater and a redstone torch are required, and now the mine cart will go there and be sorted, but obviously we need some chests to collect all our gunpowder, so I started dropping them in this little pattern.
I didn't need that many here, since this thing isn't very efficient compared to the sugarcane farm or whatever, and I actually changed this later from stone to glass so that nothing can appear on it since the Torches have affected the rates, but it's cat time again, baby, that's right, let's grab them on this platform here and this time this cat just decided that life isn't worth living if you're going to get stuck on a farm. of vines, so jump straight to the magma blocks, so in the future I found a way to avoid it and put all the trapdoors so they don't get away as you can.
Look in a second though, this one died again, so yeah, that's good, but you can see that all the trap doors are up there, which means the cats couldn't leave anymore, which was a big improvement and We managed to get all the rest of the cats on the other layers without deaths, well I still can't say that any cats were harmed during the creation of this farm, since let's face it, five or six have died, so that's not well, but well, they are workers. cats and I raised them anyway I'm trying to reason why this is okay I know it's not I'm sorry I killed all these cats I really didn't mean for it to happen it's okay but anyway the roof is , that's right, we are We are going to add this roof and this roof means that it will darken the entire farm, which means that the creepers can appear when everything is set up and ready.
We built a little platform up here and then spent a day or two. I just think it wasn't even the day, it was like 15 minutes or something, so it really wasn't that long and we managed to get a decent amount of gunpowder, as you can see there, so I decided to go to the Desert as well and take some sand, sand, gunpowder, Joel, whatever you're going to do, that's right, of course, we're going to make some TNT, since our big project here is that we want to clear a space for our final portal, how I hated Going down that tunnel and I thought about making some kind of big ravine and as you can see we blew up our beacon instantly for everyone and after making some holes in the ground here I realized that this method is probably not the best but I thought who had spent the last two hours building a vine farm.
I'm going to use the TNT, so I placed it all around here, as you can see, and we managed to clear quite a bit of terrain and also By destroying our beacon once again, luckily I didn't lose any emerald blocks during all of that, but you can see it saved me a little time, it's pretty quick, although I'd say building the whole vine farm probably could have cleared it up. this area at that time anyway, but hey, the creeper fan will be useful for other things, but here I'm just showing that we didn't actually lose any emerald blocks and I was able to put them all back and I didn't know it, but you don't actually have than putting another emerald on the beacon when you reactivate it like that, it just works, so it's very nice.
I was quite surprised to find this out, but it's almost time to start what I'm going to call the big dig. because it's a small thing, it doesn't matter either way, i went and got all my tools ready, got ready and gave marty mcfly a little nod to show my appreciation and we set about removing some rocks and oh, five days and a bit of stone cleaning, fun, fun, fun, although I must say that seeing the time elapsed is very satisfying to see, especially because you can see that we have the different layers here, we did it on purpose and of course we are not just going to clean it and leave it.
Oh, no, no, you'll see what we're going to do and you'll be able to see here how much stone we've managed to pick up, a lot of stone, but it also used up two of our pickaxes completely, so obviously we had to go back. all the way to kill more endermen to fix them and look at the size of this hole, oh isn't it so beautiful? What are we going to put there? Well I guess you'll just have to find out and of course we have to go to the bottom, we just finished the time lapse, I hate never, I hate these hoglands, is it possible that these hoglands don't exist anymore?
I also saved this clipping because look at this sick fly, look at how to navigate through the trees and stuff, I really felt like you know. a bird for a second, but anyway I guess we should probably get started on our project. I went upstairs, gave a little nod to Lizzy, the woman with the mustache, and then we slept in our bed because I want to show that I really use that before we leave. to the portal and we added a little bit of the design that we're going to add and I actually decided not to do a time lapse in this first part.
I was doing a lot of time lapses instead of showing you the building steps and this. It was a pretty complex kind of failure. I designed this in a creative world beforehand because I'm terrible at creating this on the spot and it's using a lot of crimson logs that I haven't really used much in this world before. Because I want to use those kind of final colors like purple and light yellowish yellow, whatever cream is, I guess you would say, and the point of this really is just to make everything look pretty, it's that ridiculous and impractical. , yeah, but I don't care, I also found these diamonds in a chest while I was there, I didn't realize they were there all the time, but well, we don't really need diamonds, but it's always nice to find them and then I decided to do it.
In fact, take a time lapse on this last part here so that only a few walls are built and you can kind of get an idea of what it's going to look like in the future; however, we have to go a little higher as we go. I'm going to take this down to ground level and then decided to try the diamond trick. You may have seen this before, but basically you go seven blocks into the clay, you dig down to where the diamond level is and you find diamonds and I thought, does this work? so I dug to the bottom and yes, it works.
I did it three times andand I remembered that most of them had died, so I started making more bricklayers and started exchanging some bricks with them, as well as converting some villages. Also, I have like 10 stacks of emeralds in my chest system, but I don't know why I would trade pumpkins for emeralds. It's just a force of habit. I think I'm not always used to being rich, but here you can. Look, we're trading some bricks with these bricklayers to make some brick blocks, since we're going to add a nice brick path to this area. I feel like this area is very prestigious and I needed a brick floor instead of You know, because the dirt and buds will flow like the path we took here and I also wanted to add some fancy hedges and some pretty flowers so I went and bought some flowers from a flower field, specifically some red and white tulips.
I also killed some horses on the way, look how aggressively I go in there, sometimes I get scared and then when we come back we plant these rose bushes and tulips here to make a very nice modern garden, but it doesn't seem like enough. diamond blocks so you know what time it is day 1172 we head to the swamp to dig some diamonds and for some reason I decided to make the worst time lapses ever as you can see just a few holes appear from time to time , look there's a hole there's a hole there's a hole there's a hole there's a hole just holes that's all really but I did this four times as you can see I think it took us about seven days or like six days to get all these diamonds and how many stacks of diamonds do we have, that's right, four and a half almost, oh my god, that's a lot of diamonds and I thought I'd make a little bit of a fast-paced video of me, count the diamonds, it seems a little crazy, so I'm sorry, but look how many diamonds we have, we have enough for a whole stack of diamond blocks plus two extra, very, very nice ones, and what are we going to do with these?
Well, we're going to make a diamond beacon and we're going to do this. diamond lighthouse a fancy diamond lighthouse would stay here forever kind of flexible as you can see all the diamond blocks look at it on this little pedestal oh that's cool i've never made one of those completely out of diamonds before and it Looks awesome and I thought this area looked great, other than the fact that it just had a bunch of chests and a shulker box in there, so I decided to spend the next four days, that's right, four days, which is 40 minutes of my time to figure this out.
It took a long time to make and honestly, it was very boring, so I tried to condense it into a small part of the video for you, as you can see here. It's literally just me going back and forth putting things from one chest to another. and it also had so many things that just didn't fit into my classification system because I just didn't have that in the classification system, so I had to figure out where to put them as well, but luckily most of it was just grass and stone and as you can see here, Finally we finish, everything is ready, everything is ordered.
I love it, so what did I do after that? I went and cut down some trees. I have a lot of leaves. I have a lot of wood. Because? I don't want those trees to be there. and i want to make my own trees here plus add a little pond there with a little pet andrew, he stayed with us the whole time we built this palace and i thought i would make him a place to stay forever and he can be there swimming very happy after being stuck in that two for one block he was on before look at him look how happy he is maybe I'll bring him some friends at some point but maybe not I haven't talked to him yet and he might like it enough space.
I also moved Marty here so that he was right under the diamond pyramid. Oh look, the diamond pyramid, isn't it so cool? I celebrated by looking at it, killing some horses, and then I started linking the paths together, built quite a bit, and thought, how do I tie this together? I feel like there needs to be more buildings there, but we only have nine days left, which means I don't have time for more buildings, so maybe that's something I can do in the future. Instead, I decided to finish the path on the other side and connect it to our castle.
Finally I also had to build another bridge. This one was very strange looking, but I like it. and you'll see a map here, the map of the area, which of course we're going to update, but we're not just going to update it, oh no, no, we're going to complete that whole circle. I thought this would be quite a fun thing to do just to see the whole area and see how much we've affected it. As you can see, the palace is quite big there, it occupies the same size as the castle we built, which is quite ridiculous.
That castle is a little big, but we spent some time flying around it. This actually takes longer than you think simply because you get confused about where the maps are or where they have been etc. and you don't want to make duplicates, but look, that's it. look how impressive it looks, we have the palace over there, we have the castle in this whole area, the road that connects them, beautiful, let's celebrate with some chicken slaughter, I haven't done this in a long time and it needed to be done. Sorry, look how many eggs I have. I decided to make some chickens for Angelina Jolie to eat.
Oh, that's so funny. I love watching her kill those chickens. Very, very cool, but it's the month of June, which of course is pride month, so to be the best. Ally, it could be. I decided to add a huge pride flag to my world and I'm not sure if this is the right one. I got a little confused researching it, so I'm sorry if that's not the case, but I wanted to do something. I did this and I hope it's okay, but we're getting close to the end of this video. I decided, you know, let's get a good night's sleep in our bed to get to our last day where I raised some pandas.
I hope to get a brown panda, but unfortunately, there are no brown pandas. So I decided to add some shaders and do a little tour of the shaders here from the new build we just did. Look how amazing it looks with the shaders. Everything looks much better with shaders. look at it apart from the frame rate which doesn't look any better. I also greeted leonardo dicaprio and kate winslets. I haven't done it yet, besides saying hello to Gerald and his stupid friend and then we watched the sunset and stuff. brought us

1200

today. What an incredible trip.
It's taken me a long time to record these videos, so here are some stats that show a few different things. We mined a lot of diamonds. We built a lot and, most importantly, we had a lot. of fun, well, the most important thing is that we killed a lot of horses, not as many as I would like, but there you have it. 1200 days in a Minecraft world. I hope you enjoyed this video. Make sure to subscribe if you haven't already and leave a Thank you so much for watching, I'll see you another time, bye.
