I Made the ULTIMATE Mining Farm in Minecraft!

May 31, 2024
so I was looking through my storage when I noticed I had 93 pieces of dirt. How is everything I have? Let's change. Today there is one way and only one way to fix this. I'm going to build a quarry. The most complex Redstone machines humanity has ever seen. This machine will automatically collect over 40 million blocks from across this Badlands biome. You're probably wondering how this will work. First of all, we need to find a large region of land to build the machine. Next, we need to make trenches around the area to essentially separate it from the surrounding biomes.

From there, build a 50,000 block Redstone machine, which is the Quarry, but note that it must be built perfectly if I lose even a single block in the entire area. something breaks if everything goes well then in the span of 168 hours the machine should automatically collect every block of this biome, it will take a long time to get everything working but if we break it down into smaller more manageable steps I think we can do it. Okay, so I was looking for a place to build the machine and I think I might have found a place forty thousand blocks from Spawn, although before we go check the place out, let's collect some things first, a bunch of redstone items to fly. machine, then some beacons and some emeralds for the beacons, of course, let's also bring some gold, just a few sponges.

Diamond hoe and finally my favorite block, some TNT. Just a quick reminder that at the end of the year I will be blowing up some TNT in my hardcore world. for every subscriber the channel has, if you like watching my videos, click that button and claim your TNT. Okay, that should be it now to travel to the area, we have to go about 5,000 blocks in that direction overseas and then let's make a portal. Here, please, don't be underground. Yes, yes, this biome will work perfectly. If you're wondering why I'm trying to build the quarry in a wasteland biome, that's because of the terracotta blocks.

If everything goes as planned, then this is 300 times 1000. The block-long area should give me over 2 million fresh terracotta blocks, so this area we just marked is 300 long and now we need to start to make the main trench for the machine. This whole region of land needs to reach the bedrock and me. I think the best way to do this will be to build a TNT bomber machine. Let me follow the tutorial for this and build it. That's a well done side, honestly it wasn't that bad to build, but I will say no. I don't think we can execute it right away.

I'm a little worried that the trees are in the way, so I'll quickly extract them, perfect. I think we should be ready to run the machine, so in three, two, one, here we go. I somehow built the Rock machine, but after tearing it down and spending an hour rebuilding it we can now try again. Look at it, it's just completely demolished. That land, does the return station work? And yeah, so let's just put the Redstone block back in and That should stop the machine. This should be a good time to take a break because I want to let you know that off camera I have to keep flying to storage every time I forget something that's like 5,000 blocks away from the end. storage and 5000 blocks to return and each time that takes like 10 minutes so before doing anything else I want to build an ice highway to speed up the travel time and for that guess what we need, I'll give it to you.
I guess it's ice, so after the raid

farm

, we have this huge frozen ocean and we're going to need like three blue ice shulkers. I'm going to be here for a while, ah-oh, okay, that's embarrassing, although it should be enough ice now, I guess. The next item we need for the road is some black concrete and I'm pretty sure at the end yeah there's this huge chest monster that I've never cleared and cool we've got a decent amount of black concrete dust here let's convert it quickly below. We'll need some black stained glass panels, try saying that five times fast, and finally some black rugs that we can easily get from wool.
Farm Friend, this thing is too powerful and I love it, it should be all we'll need. and now I can come in here and start placing the ice, wait a minute, what if I had speed potions while I place the blocks, let me quickly go back to storage and grab some. Yes, this certainly seems pretty fast. I think that's all. I need to go one way now I need to go this direction for another 3200 blocks so that's all the ice placed now we're going to use the black concrete to create walls for this road so I don't fall while navigating though wait Okay, What happens if I line up the boat perfectly?
Okay, then go up and back up. Oh, oh, my God. Wow, that's incredibly satisfying. It's only been 10 minutes and I'm done. If you thought it was satisfying, guess what now? I need to protect those blocks with rugs, except this time instead of going backwards in the boat I can go forward which is much faster, the sound engine is completely broken and now it's time for the glass panels on the sides, finally we have to play 6,000 rails on the ice to prevent the mobs from spawning and there we are, the ice path should be totally finished. I know this probably seems a little excessive, but I honestly want this Quarry project to be of the best quality and the transportation to get there is the best. first step, well now I think we should go back to work on the trench, which will mean that all this water has to be removed by hand, which is why I have all this gravel because we're going to start by making five wide trenches here. oh no, salmon, no, here, go, go back there, you're doing great, those are all the gravel trenches now with the sponges from before, we need to get in here and start spamming everywhere, now come and pick them up, dry them in the Nether and repeat, repeat.
Repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, so I could have stayed up until 3am doing it, but that's all clear water. The last thing we need to do before running the machine is to mine the area under the machines down to y0 so they don't break. later that means we need a beacon, okay? I got the rush effect and now it's time to extract the blocks that are already on one side. I just have to set up a beacon on the other side. whoa oh no no no no no no what are the odds of randomly

mining

in an ancient city, how the hell are Ghosts attacking me here for whatever reason while

mining

?
I saw that my selection was running out and instead of switching to another one, I literally just discarded it, at least we're done. and now it's time to run the machine and there it says oh wow, it's so satisfying to see how to break up the gravel. This is the future. I don't want to bore you, so let me explain what happened. Basically, I built the machine too low, which caused there to be a ton of extra floating blocks instead of destroying the machine and building it higher. I spent some time trying to make a smaller machine which somehow broke the main machine so I had to tear the whole thing down, rebuild it taller and then it hit me.
I forgot a block of silt at the return station. I tore it all down again and then rebuilt it a fourth time. It finally worked and I better be excited after that, the machine ran for a few hours until I forgot to remove the blocks. the edge so Slime picked them up and broke the machine at this point I was so frustrated that after building it for the fifth time I completely forgot to remove the same blocks that Slime stuck to and not even kidding the machine broke again Let's just say this wasn't my proudest moment but luckily after double and triple checking everything it broke again no I'm just kidding it worked perfectly on the way down I

made

sure to pick up all the diamond doors that were exposed and By the time the trench was over I collected around 200 minerals, the crazy thing is that when we mine the 40 million blocks I'm supposed to get around 30,000 diamonds which will technically break the world record for the most diamonds never collected in a harsh world, my goodness, that's the whole Ravine is over, it better feel good to remove this machine, so now we have completed one of the four trenches we need to make.
The next one really needs to go under all the terrain so the quarry can move underneath without breaking up. and for this we are going to use a different type of machine called a tunnel. For this machine we need about 3,000 elements, the first of which is some slime, then observers. Pistons, sticky pistons and dead tube. Coral fans. I don't have a dead tube. Coral. Fans, okay, that should be it for the machine and now we just have to build it, so I finished the first two layers, but the tricky thing is that I can't just put these Minecarts here because they will explode the TNT.
The solution for this. is the first place where the pistons and rails are one block off, then we can place the minecart on each of the rails, finally we need to go in here and power each of the pistons so that they push the minecart and prime the TNT and the pen it should be. the tunnel board ended here we go in three two one one more time yes yes it works oh my 19 diamonds already just for exploding four layers and if I have to run this for more than 1000 blocks then we will get a ton of diamonds which reminds me that all the Water, lava and gravel that fall in the path of this machine just need to be removed, although the good thing is that because this machine was built at the perfect height, it should be able to avoid these huge puddles of lava and stuff here.
Wow then, oh God, that Shrieker is giving me anxiety. I've been tunneling for about five hours and I think we're halfway there. The crazy thing is that I've already gathered a shulker full of one-two diamond oars before I can't. believe how many diamonds I just got from that in another note, looks like we've stumbled upon another ancient city, okay, okay, just for laughs and giggles, let's go loot it, anyway, I'll take two blocks, I just need another 100 . blocks with the boar, but now I have to be very careful that no Guardians appear oh no, well I guess that's my cue to stop right here.
I'm going to count all the diamonds, about 4000 oars and 49 additional blocks. that's not bad at all for two days of work like that, we had already finished the second trench, now there are only two more trenches left, except these are going to be different, what if I told you that there is a red stone machine that automatically removes ? blocks exactly three wide and keeps the walls completely smooth at the same time, would you believe me? That's exactly what a three-wide trencher does. These machines are extremely complex and it is crucial that you build everything perfect or something like this will happen, no, no.
I followed the machine blueprint, double and triple checked everything to make sure nothing else broke and okay, I think this is the last block, the anxiety that Redstone gives me can't be healthy, but anyway when opening that. the machine appears to have started now, this is not your typical TNT trick, this one uses slime blocks to grab all the blocks in front of it, from there those blocks are pushed into the path of TNT and this essentially clears a row of blocks. facing the machine to repeat the process after several hundred cycles, the machine would have built a trench with perfectly smooth walls and here is the icing on the cake: it can pass through liquids, which means that literally all I have to do is let it run for a couple of days in a row and that's exactly what I did.
I let the machine run for 60 hours. The days passed and the machines advanced. I will say they broke a few times, but after quickly rebuilding them and letting them continue, the trenches were finally finished. These trenches look so sick they remind me of that scene from Star Wars. The last thing we have to do to finish them is to put some gravel on the sides and prevent water from flowing. I can't imagine this taking too long. very soon, what would happen if I tried to travel by boat there? Well, that's probably a really bad idea, but here we go, well, this is kind of disappointing after three hours of putting gravel on the patches of walls that I had successfully blocked. water and completed the last two trenches, meaning it was now time to build the quarry.
I'm looking at this list of items and wow that's all I have to say 49,429 blocks, well maybe it's not so bad because first of all we can just bring some stone from storage to the super foundry and then cook it quickly. I got the 17,000 smooth stone blocks we needed, which only took about 15 minutes. Then we have to get 9,000 slime blocks, oh boy, right? It would be amazing if I had like a million slime balls stored in a warehouse somewhere. Oh,wait, what is this? A million slime balls stashed somewhere now for some TNT concrete walls, corals, note blocks and it looks like the quarry requires 555 Soul Sand.
Now I could. just mine, but if instead we get some gold and then that's loud, give me that soul sand, ah, then some honey, it seems, and yeah, I really didn't expect there to be any, so we'll have to wait here. A couple of hours to get enough and there we go, that should be it. How about we get the End Stone next? And for this we're going to use some TNT, if you didn't know, placing two pieces of TNT three blocks deep. In fact, you can collect many End Stones without getting bored. The last elements we need are 3273 observers.
Each observer requires one Quartz, two Redstone, and six Cobble. Great, these should be good. Now we need to create four Pistons shulkers. How about we load all of these? shulkers with Cobble, that should be good, then 12 wooden and plank shulkers, four iron and four redstone shulkers and now we have to create all the Pistons up there. We are these Pistons, check the 49,000 items needed for the quarry, oh man. It's time to build the quarry, it's kind of a tradition in Minecraft TechCommunity to name your Quarry after a real-life location, so from now on I'll refer to the Quarry as Texas.
First of all, we need to start by placing the layer of stone slabs on the lowest level. The next layer is extremely complex. Don't know. I'm going to pretend I have some idea how this works. I really want to thank Desu Desu and Javi for designing this quarry, as well as jkm for literally answering all of my questions, sending me tutorials for Redstone machines, and giving his time and energy to help me. Do this project. I will provide links to all of their social networks in the description of this video. Please check them out and show some support.
I spent several days building the machine following the plans and being attacked by ghosts until finally the quarry was complete. finished, this is the final block right here, yes sir, so I know we've laid the trenches and built the machine, but we can't run it yet. One thing I need to check in this region is that there is no block to pass and it is equal to 134. It seems that these Vlogs are a little high, the beacon time is excellent and can be marked. The last thing we need to do to prepare this land is to remove every immovable block from the 40 million block region, which means every piece. of obsidian, every generator, every chest sensor, Catalyst and Shrieker, must be eliminated and now you have to realize that finding each of these blocks and eliminating them would simply be impossible with 100 certainty if I didn't have some kind of external help jkm once . again he offered a solution, he coded a script that can find each of these blocks and tell me the coordinates after giving the program a seed, he sent me a file containing all the chords, thanks again jkm, what the hell is going on? so see that skulk Shrieker has a waypoint that allows me to find it quickly and then break it, so I will have to go to each of these waypoints and extract time from all the blocks for this whole Hobby along with all the generators and there we go, every immovable block removed from the earth, oh wait, what about these light, deep, reinforced blocks?
Well, we could just extract them, but that took three minutes and it's like 80 of these. I think I have a better idea, but it's We'll need a redstone lever and then we need to set up a redstone grid around it. Now let's go upstairs and set up a row of pistons and then we need to place some redstone blocks on the pistons and spread them all out, finally remove them. of the redstone blocks Now going down I can quickly just yeah so my game has now gone into lag mode basically because we overloaded the game by spamming that lever now we can break these pistons and replace them so they look a little weird and then just wait and boom a whole row of deep and slight cracks like that now I just have to repeat this for the rest of these foreign blocks there we go for real now all the moving blocks are removed okay that's it we're done with the preparation of the land.
There is only one last thing we need to do before running Quarry and that is to prepare the storage. Now this is easier said than done because there will be over 40 million items coming into storage and I want them all to be available. sorted and loaded into shulker boxes. I'm going to spend the rest of the night trying to design something in a creative world and then we'll get back to you when I'm done. Okay everyone, it's the next day and I finished designing what I like to call Giga storage, so to build it in the extreme world, first we need to collect about 7,000 chests, then about three shulkers full of hoppers plus some goodies more Redstone and then four stacks of each item to be sorted in the investigation.
I

made

my Quarry Texas, it will collect about 25 different types of items, so we'll collect them for a while and finally four stacks of diamonds, there we go, that should be it now to build the storage right here, it should be fine. I'm going to start by placing all the lower chests and now we're going to build the Shulker box loaders, so apparently all of these combined can sort over 2 million items per hour. I think we will definitely be ready and really do them. guy, we have to put all the items from before in each of the Hoppers, oh yeah, all those chests are there for shulker boxes, but that will be for later, now this is the entrance to the storage, so all the items They will go here.
Now I need to think about how to connect this to the quarry. I think we could try installing a water jet down here or something. First let me clean this floor a little. Now what happens if I put some gravel in here? we make some walls of some kind, okay, then we put up a bunch of iron and water trap signs. This is a super basic water stream, but I think it should work perfectly and that should be it. I think it's ready, wait, wait, wait. I have to load this. up with shulkers if the Texas quarry is going to collect 40 million items and if shulker has 1 728 items then we need 24 000 boxes of shulker, well that's not a problem in the least because I could have AFK on my

farm

shulker overnight for a couple of days. so we will take all these materials to storage and then we will create all the shulkers and yes, we should be more than ready finally, this should be the last batch of shulkers.
I'm done, it's done, okay, so I double-checked it and triple-checked it. everything looks good, I think we're ready to execute. It took me 45 hours and a month of my time to get to this point in three, two, one, oh my gosh, okay, so I'm taking out the blocks, why the hell? This is so satisfying to watch and what's going to happen when you get to the top. Well, the water seems to be falling. The TNT is being launched. This will have to go all the way to the top and then here come the latest flying machines.
Here come the flying machines. items that are a lot of items from a single portion and they are still coming in fine, then I have to let my computer run for 168 hours for the quarry to finish mining this entire area, thanks foreigner, it's been a week for me but just a couple of seconds for you, but oh boy, look at this area, a completely mined 300 by 1000 block region of land. In fact, I want to check how many items we have first of all Cobblestone um um um well, it looks like I have about 14 million. Cobble 12 million deep slate million andesite, granite and diorite, terracotta diamonds and oh yes earth, oh yes thank you.
