I Have No Idea What This Guitar Is...But I Can't Stop Playing It!

and it's on the neck. just plain satin, so you know they did it on the body on purpose, and I like the satin finish on the neck, by the way, that's good, yes, but overall I think the combination of an open pore finish can be hard to see. but when you hold the

guitar

you can see it clearly and the bright white binding just doesn't do it for me. I think if you are going to go for an open pore finish, go for a cream binding which would be like a complement. the look, but

this

bright white binding looks new and the rest of the body is made to look old, so I would say give

this

guitar a thick clear coat finish like you would see on most guitars or go for a cream binding and still with the open pore, so I

have

to say that and there are some finishes, there are some spots where you can see, I don't know if it's sawdust or this or that, or you know, under the finish, so I don't It is super premium in the overall finish.

I'd say it's well made, but it's not perfect now. Another cool little touch that is definitely not seen on 335 style guitars is that you

have

something like the swing gate truss rod adjustment cover so you don't have to break it off. To remove the screwdriver you can use a pick or just open the cavity cover with your finger, make the adjustment and then just pop it back into place and you're done, it's kind of a nice little touch but overall I'd say it's a well made guitar again with guitars in this price range you'll end up with some little quirks in the finish or you know like I said some of that stain on the binding, you don't know anything that's a deal breaker but you'll find them on guitars in this price range, the big difference here is the ease of execution and compared to, as I mentioned, the ones that I have featured on this channel, the harley benton, the boardwalk, the firefly, I have made them complete and very detailed um ya you know demos of those guitars uh this is a better guitar than all of those, it sure sounds better and it's lighter than all of them um so it's a good guitar, but it's more expensive like I said, I think it's 389 um So you go to spend more money, but is it a good guitar?

Well, yes, it's light, but more importantly it plays a lot more than it's worth and it certainly plays better than all those other brands, so that's great, anyway, that's my experience obviously. I have only played one of these guitars so I can't speak to you, you know their other styles, but so far I want to say that I am very surprised with this guitar and I can overlook some of the things that you know, like the poor and open finish and that kind of stuff just because when I pick it up and play it it's a great experience and it catches me off guard every time I pick it up and I'm like,

am I

playing

here?

It's so strange, so it's a pleasure to play and that's the main thing. When you buy a guitar, you want to enjoy it, so yes, there will be some quirks to these and I have no

idea

what

they are. Like I said, this is the first guitar I've ever played there, so I don't know what the quality control is like on all these brands. You know it's going to take some time and some user reviews as more and more people you know take a real chance on these guitars. but overall it was a great experience for me, I hope you enjoyed the demo, um, yeah, it was a little surprising, a little bit of a mixed bag, overall, very, very positive, so this is the e-a-r-t e-335.
