I built an INSANE Triumph T120 for The Body Coach

Jun 02, 2021
Oh my god, I can't believe the space of two months since we met. I didn't want to buy a bike, yes, I took off the bobber, yes, and now I have the

t120

. I'll bring her, so again we were brand. new tea once I win eh Cafe Edition too, what do you know happened? I came out and a friend of Mines

t120

I just love the style of it, the ride and the kind of that upright position, the hassle, I mean I love Baba, but Don't get me wrong and I thought what can we do with this that can make it stand out , be unique and surprising.

Well, we've had a little chat about what we're thinking about doing, but yeah, I mean, give it a try. Make a lovely bike as is, you know they handle great, they look great, but we'll give you a bit more, actually. I'm thinking that with this bike I'll put a wide wheel kit on it, so I design all the clamps again, widen them. I'll put some custom CNC billet bushings on the right and put custom rims on it. Let's improve the shots. We'll put some tents on it. We will cut the back part. I will build you a completely custom exhaust.

More Interesting Facts About,

i built an insane triumph t120 for the body coach...

We'll put a cake on it. We cut the stainless steel system there and put an X-shaped tube in the middle. We do something weird with a design and just make it look harsh, so when are you going to start? I mean, literally, like you're going to come in, we're going to start now and you're going to take it apart today because you have so many bikes in there that you're busy right now and it's also in the middle of a workshop movie so you're probably going to start this bike on my old one. workshop when it is finished. we will be in the new workshop if I introduce it, yes we are up and running, check it out, yes I have created your space, this will be your ramp, this is where your bytes will live for the next six or eight weeks and we will do it right, so today I will start with Joe's manufacturing, which is t120.

Basically what we're going to do is cut the back of the frame, bend a loop of the back frame here and weld the new one on. that little support so that it can still hold the passenger and move towards the front of the bike, we're going to start with the exhaust, so Joe ordered a private George, so we're going to cut the exhaust into many segments at certain degrees to give us a good bend radius as well, so we'll move over to the chop saw and you guys can see how it's done right, so it's time to put some paint in the tank.

I'm here tonight with my Painter Ben and we essentially removed the entire tank from the side panels of the bike, removed all the original paint from the decals, removed the big metal badges from the sides and filled in the holes, sanded it all down, let's print and flatten it. again and now it's ready for its base coat so we're going to jump in the booth and put some paint on it so while Ben is in the paint booth painting the tank and the side panels, I came out here and I'm I'm going to put this engine inside the cover, so basically what I did was take it to a covered place initially, but I also took out the flywheel and modified it, removed the remover II and the weight of the flywheel, so you removed 309 grams of material, so let's go We'll accelerate faster and we'll also come down from higher rpm faster so today we're going to make the seat base for Joe's t120 and we'll make it with carbon fiber which I haven't used before so it would be an interesting and exciting process see how it turns out so I just put the fuel pump in the tank and then I'll hit the tank and the side panel so I have something to mold it and then we'll go from there and see how we get on.
We just finished the carbon fiber seat base. I have cut it out and we will take it to the children. On the Viking motorcycle seats on Friday, we had the foam and custom Alcantara top put on, but to do that we need to get the bike running, so luckily today we just got through the triple clamps. I cut them and designed them with a machine. the aluminum so we're going to put this on and that allows for the forks, we're going to put the wheels on and that will have a rolling chassis ready to take it down on Friday so you're looking forward to seeing how this goes.
Look, it's a full review of the bike, so we'll get the first look at it this morning, we'll head over to Viking motorcycle seats in Sevenoaks, near Brands Hatch, and last night they got the bike up and running, set it up and made sure that everything is in it. so we can outline and get the shape and lines right so we're going to make the foam and while we're doing that we're going to make a seat cover and I think they're going to look really good. I came back from the Viking vinyl yesterday and they fixed the seat for us.
It looks very nice and very happy with some small details and the colors we put on the Alcantara today. We've been putting in the Fox shocks and working out all the details. wiring on the bike so now I'm just going to put the tank on, put the seat on, try to start it and see if it works, ready for the dyno test in the morning, there we go, fingers crossed, first time, ok. We've just gotten to TTS performance at Silverstone, which ties the t120 to the dyno, so we're going to zoom in on a basemap, run it, see what numbers it generates for brands and fuel settings, and optimize that fuel to make sure we have with as much as possible. of possible numbers, so there's 79 horsepower on the crankshaft standard, let's see what it does right, so I, Richard, if I just finished doing the dyno runs on the right side cylinder, we'll do the same again on the left side cylinder between twenty and one hundred percent throttle, so everything is much more the same, so we'll meet you in the shop and we'll let you know what it does, okay, so we just got back from the presentation of TTS on the dyno we

built

at eighty point five horsepower. at the rear wheel, standard purchase, it generates about sixty-nine horsepower, which represents approximately twelve and thirteen percent powertrain losses because it generates seventy-nine horsepower at the crank.
If you look here, you can see the dyno graph and you can see the torque curve and how. exactly how much power are we making so what I'm going to do now is not get the fender to mount to the fender brackets and once we've done that we're going to paint it and then we're just going to put the finishing touches on a polish the bike and get on with it. the stickers on and then we were almost there after the test Royce Jody, you have no idea maybe excited I've been following your stories my time obsessed how much do I look? that you like turns on every like 20 minutes when I'm working on your bike it's all the time like seeing this barber obviously you add it to the sale and I just came and bought it as is but I've been involved in a trip for me like the

triumph

when I rolled them on bikes in the factory, they are beautiful bikes, but you saeng a man and make them look sick, come on gentlemen, okay, okay, are you ready, oh my God, my color, look, I haven't gone out to see it in a while because it doesn't appear on camera I'm Italian pots but it's hard to believe that our lovely is I couldn't believe it when you throw the wick so you have wicks in your heart I love you, yes, speak about using it.
It's so beautiful because you know when it was when I had the Ace Cafe when it was all black but it's very narrow and thin, but when you put these white ones you know these wider wheels and tires and it just reinforces more that it's so thick, honesty, so free of front to back lock look we got it so we have the whole set of white pants designed from scratch remember the machine on these was just a couple of weeks ago and like it was all anodized and yeah like you. I know what they look like, I'll really like them in black, yeah they look premium Nancy, this glitter can be yours on it too, everything, every little detail, man that's craftsmanship, these guys are silver.
Hannah saw it in them on her Instagram story. and ferp for someone like that I just know I can get a passenger it's just beautiful I'm excited some powers are my color how sick is that I love him like literally waiting to go out in the sun sun it's like I'm trying to make it red acid, red and gray, and it's not red and gray, we have a fluent

body

trainer, oh yeah, it's a

body

trainer. I mean, look, it looks amazing and I see mom very happy, but I want to know what the power increase is, but we have it, anyone can decide that you have about 65 horsepower behind the wheel and now this is also a 2.5 Soul 88 , so let's take it still, no, honestly, it's much faster than a standard bike.
However, it can still be ridden, so we haven't gone crazy with it like we do. Yes, it's probably still usable. You can just hop on it every day and that's it. I'm amazed by that, man, I can only turn it on, man. take it outside, let's go out into the sun so you can see it and yes, it will turn on and you can hear it, you can bring it. Sorry buddy, come on, I met you. I may never know. I may never meet you. Already sounded, boy, for the rest of your life, no, no way, what happens once you have a custom bike and are part of the journey in the build?
