-free base. It tastes like a normal base. I would say it's homemade tomato sauce. Absolutely delicious, it's not too salty, it has a lot of flavor, I can taste a lot of herbs and it's also tiny little pieces of sausage so it's not like when you order meat lovers or a pepperoni or something and it's full of meat I can't get over the base is so nice it's spongy it's light it's crispy and holds its shape it hasn't been soggy it's so good, let's try this miso now that I can see the tiny fish, wow, how unusual, very strong Japanese flavors with the fish, the miso and the nori, really super Japanese, but also nice and crispy, and still tastes like pizza because of the cheese.

Too much was a mistake. In fact, I think it tastes better than regular karage. The dough is spiced. A little salty. Super super crispy. The chicken. really tender, oh my gosh it's so good, so in Japan you slurp the noodles and it's like a sign that you're enjoying it. It feels very unnatural to me, but I try, oh my God, it's so hot I think. I'm slurping wrong, the spicy is so good it's the perfect level of spiciness and the noodles are brown rice noodles but they taste like standard noodles, they don't taste like they're gluten free or you know, they're not like noodles or something. and there is some meat here, no chicken, no pork in this restaurant, so it is a halal restaurant.
OMG this is so good I can't believe I found delicious gluten free ramen but it tastes like regular ramen if they served you this and you didn't. I don't know it's gluten free, you wouldn't think it's gluten free, they're just regular noodles, they are absolutely delicious, I recommend a spicy one if you can stand the spice, if you can't stand the spice, go for miso or salt. With my glasses on, there are a lot of reviews about this place on Google saying it's the best gluten-free ramen you'll find in Japan and I can see why if I was staying in Kamakura, if it was an hour away, I'd come.
Here just for this ramen, well guys, now it's time for dinner and we just walked to a cafe called birdie. According to Google, this cafe is in Shibuya, but as I just found out after walking for 25 minutes, it's in the Shibuya district, but it's actually closer to Yoyogi, so it took quite a while to get here, but I think it'll be worth it. It's worth the walk because when you Google places to eat gluten-free in Tokyo, this one shows up on every list. It's supposed to be very popular, it's a bit of a surprise because it's in this building behind me and it's on the third floor, from the front you'd have no idea it's there, but right at the top there's a window, look where.
My finger is right there, that window says little bird and it says gluten-free girlfriend. This cafe's entire menu is gluten-free. You can order anything here and it's gluten-free. It's not like the place we had lunch that was gluten free. Specific menu, the entire menu at this cafe is gluten-free, although they don't open until noon and close at 8 p.m. m. I've been told you have to try this restaurant's gyoza and apparently even compared to theirs they are made with gluten. apparently it's even better, there are a lot of reviews online saying that the decor leaves a lot to be desired, but look, we're here for the food, we're not here for the decor, apparently it's a bit cramped and claustrophobic inside, so apart from that food.
It's supposed to be amazing, so let's hope they're open. They are supposed to be open until 8 p.m. m., so we should be here in plenty of time, so let's go here. It is all gluten-free rice flour. Please make sure you let me. know about vegan dairy free anything food allergies definitely try fried gyoza gyoza karage waffle okonomiyaki disgusting soba we have burgers if I hadn't had pizza today I would definitely buy it because corn and mayonnaise are the best combination in the world there's a lot of writing on the wall konnichiwa g'day before I found your restaurant as someone gluten free and vegan I only ate rice, salted nuts and bananas from the Tokyo store thank you for offering alternatives love and Australian hello We had wonderful food in your cafe five nights dear little birds thank you very much for gluten-free dinner.
I searched for

restaurants

for my dad who can't eat gluten before traveling from the US. This was the first and best place I found. you have made my dad very happy with the delicious and wonderful food arigato gozaimasu oyshe little bird my goodness there are so many letters here thank you for offering such delicious gluten free products bonjour merci something lets grab the gluten I have this thank you little bird I am from Melbourne and I have been struggling to eat for a week and you guys honestly made my trip. I was able to try my first ramen and it was delicious.
Thank you very much, love, ally, this is my favorite, thank you for existing. Everyone is ugly after 2. I'm Sydney, Australia, okay, so our gyoza has arrived. It's 600 yen for a plate of gyoza, which is a very normal price for gyoza. I'm so excited because apparently this gluten-free gyoza is even better than regular ryoza. We have a fried pan. one and one fried, I usually prefer pan fried because it's half steamed, half fried, it's nice and soft with a little crunch, okay, moment of truth, how does this hold up to standard glute and gyoza just as good Oh, is it so good?
Wow, it's delicious, the dumpling wrapper tastes like a regular wrapper. I don't know how they make it gluten free because gluten is usually what makes them come together. It is made from rice flour. It's really very tasty. Okay, time to try. one fried and the fried one was served with tomato sauce which I mean I'll try it but I would probably still have it with soy personally so the soy sauce would also be gluten free because everything here is gluten free so maybe Be nice. If I put it with soy sauce and I need ketchup it will taste less western there are no words oh so good very nice if you have wanted to try gyoza in Japan and you haven't been able to find a gluten free one well you know you can get it here and it is absolutely delicious guys , look at the size of this burger, this is the veggie burger, look how big it is.
I have never seen a burger this big in my life and this one is also gluten free I think. I'm going to get okonomiyaki which is really calling to me because I've never seen gluten free okonomiyaki before, it's also only a thousand yen so I think I'm going to order it once I'm done with some of these skewers, but in the meantime, I wanted to tell you about the Reviews of this place on Google so it has a rating of 4.7. This person says if you are gluten free you have to come here, you owe it to yourself after all the plain rice, plain fish, plain tofu meals. have you had in Japan you need to come here plan your day around this if you haven't booked your accommodation yet stay close to here so you can come here multiple times this says come hungry although you probably already are if you are gluten free when traveling to Japan , this one says everything you read here is true, the food is delicious, gluten free and beautifully prepared, the room is small and deliberately scruffy and intimidating to unimaginative people, the reviews go on and on and this seems to be the place without Most popular gluten free we have found so far and I definitely understand why they have a great selection and everything is gluten free.
You know, you can order anything on the menu and it will be gluten-free. -free so that's a big plus - you don't have to worry about accidentally ordering the wrong menu and you also don't have to worry about contaminants because everything here is gluten free so they won't be cooked in a pan that has had gluten in it past or something like that this is the bun that the hamburger is on oh, it's very good, it tastes like the material that the profit is made of. I can imagine dipping this in chocolate and filling it with cream, oh my goodness. and these gills are amazing, okay, 500 yen for a giant beer too, about five dollars, this is a gluten-free beer, it's very, very tasty, I'm that friend that everyone hates because they say maybe you should order your own fries Fried and I'm not.
I don't want anything and then I spend all my time stealing the other person's fries. The okonomiyaki has arrived and it's a really big serving and this was only a thousand yen and it's totally gluten free and look at the little bonito flakes. Watching them move there is mayonnaise tonkotsu sauce which surprises me a lot seeing that they are gluten free bonito flakes you even have little Japanese pickles oh ok I can see corn and cabbage in there if you are celiac and have never had a yaki quantum before. This is what he knows. This is exactly what you know.
I think this is what I've eaten the most so far. I'm a fan of mayonnaise. My hair keeps getting into my food. It was so delicious. food now something I just need to point out when we went to pay the bill I went to pay by card and it's cash the good thing is my dad had some cash because if he hadn't it would have been a last minute. Run to a convenience store, which wouldn't have been very convenient now that we walked here from Shibuya, but there's actually a train station in Yoyogi, let's go there now, it's only a four minute walk from that station.
The bill came to 5,200 yen in total, which is 52 US dollars, probably 65 Australian dollars for two people for a gluten-free meal, and I had three alcoholic drinks and my dad had an orange juice, so it's actually very , very reasonable, especially considering how difficult it is. to find gluten-free food in Japan, so we'll try three new places tomorrow. I'm very, very excited and I'll see you in the morning. Good morning guys, so it's day two of the gluten free diet and we're currently on. walking from our hotel in Akasaka to Roppongi is now about a 35 minute walk, so our breakfast restaurant we headed to is called Captain Cook.
Now Captain Cook is well known because they bake their own bread in house, so if you feel like some gluten free eggs benedict for breakfast. Well, you're in luck. I also heard that gluten-free French toast must be very, very good. It is supposed to be a British style restaurant and should be cozy.decor and attentive service so I'm really looking forward to it, it's just a good walk and I'm already tired so it's okay, apparently it's here somewhere, the GPS tells me it's here, maybe just around the corner the corner, could you look? there it is, oh how nice it looks, it's got all the little men outside, what are these guys called, Buckingham Palace, the men who guard Buckingham Palace, the bee feeders, that's what you call them, they feel it , what kind of grenadiers, I like meat. best for diners avocado and kale salad english breakfast pancakes fish and chips shakespeare's globe roast beef salmon benedict and bread and breakfast now the thing is I'm not sure if everything here is gluten free I don't know if it's 100% gluten free gluten so let's jump in and find out all the gluten free meals.
They are marked with it and it seems like everything on the breakfast menu is gluten free. We have hot bread baked. Bircher vegan muesli. Vegan French toast. Waffles. We have vegan English breakfast eggs. From the looks of it, those things are gluten-free, so keep an eye out for that little symbol there, so they're not one hundred percent gluten-free, but most things are fine. Everyone, the food has arrived, so we have three different things here. it's shakespeare's globe that looks really cool this is an avocado wrapped in bacon and inside the avocado is a poached egg this is the muesli this is a vegan muesli it has coconut cream on the top here it has little flowers and raspberry, all different types of fruits and I think the oats are soaked in almond milk and then these are the pancakes, now they make everything gluten-free or their bread and everything they make here in the store is served with some type of some cream, probably some kind of coconut cream that also has some kind of ice cream in it and I also bought a side of gluten free bread because they make their own bread so I was desperate to try it.
I'm very, very excited, but I think the most important thing I can do right now is cut out Shakespeare's globe and watch the egg ooze. Wow, look at that, oh look, okay, I know some people might think that looks like a mess, but that's perfectly perfect. poached egg I'm so excited to eat this it's so good omg that's the best combination and the feta cheese on top too so the bacon is cooked really well it's tender and soft but also a little crunchy the avocado is beautiful, perfectly. ripe, nice and soft, it's not brown anywhere, it's always so heartbreaking when you order a poached egg and you cut it and the yolk is solid and beautiful yolk, okay, I'm not kidding, okay, we have tomato with feta and basil.
Also, oh my goodness, that's so good, oh, it's so tasty, I'm so happy, and obviously there are two other dishes, so here's our muesli, which looks very, very pretty, and I think it's going to be absolutely delicious. Vi, okay, here we go, try it, oh, his face lit up, is it tasty, very nice, very nice, oh wow, that's so good? The muesli has little bits of blueberry mixed in, so it has this kind of sour flavor with the sweetness of the almond milk and the oats or whatever, they can't be oats because the oats aren't gluten free, I don't know what that is. , but it's gluten-free, whatever the grain, it's very, very soft and tender, oh, it's so. tasty and all the fruit that is really fresh fruit too, that was really good so next thing I should try is the hot cake ok have some ice cream here goes the hot peg I feel excited I don't even know what to say, try it. just try it oh his eyes just close oh he's he's slumped in his chair he's going up and down tell me what you're experiencing now he himself he's doing exactly what I did isn't that good?
It's so sweet and juicy and OMG that's better than a regular pancake, so much better you guys must. I'd like to cross half of Tokyo just for that pancake. Let me try this gluten-free bread. Let me try it, it tastes like normal gluten-free bread. Then I would buy it. at home but that pancake tastes much better than any pancake the best thing I've eaten since I've been here it's not good I don't understand how it's so good if I think they've taken gluten free to another level another level here compared to what we have at home yes, right?
I just can't believe this pancake if I come back here I think we should come back here yeah they do you'll pick it up with the spoon Yeah they're still running guys every last one. I think the toast may not be made here. I think it's the bread they use for hamburger buns. I think all of that would be made in the store, but just that gluten-free toast. I had it cut out, it was such a perfect shape that it looked pre-made, you know, something you would buy, I don't think so, but I also don't know how to ask, I mean, I know mise means shop, I guess.
I could say like this bread no, it's good it's using my Japanese it's not good enough no to do what needs to be done it's not as bad as I thought wait let me type this into Google translate what I think If I said, is this bread makes this store glad I didn't ask? Dad told me I need to check upstairs because apparently everything is very well decorated. Wow, oh, it's so cute, what the hell isn't it so cute? Oh my god, I can't get over how funny that was. Does this bread make the store no, but the pancake is okay, guys, we're done with breakfast and it was absolutely amazing that pancake.
I will never stop talking about how nice it was if you come here and buy that pancake please make sure to take a photo of it and tag me on Instagram and rave about how good it is but anyway that's it for breakfast and now we move on At lunch, okay, guys? Now we go to lunch and walk through the beautiful streets of Roppongi, so the place we are heading to now is called falafel brothers apparently this is a very small place, it only has four seats, but you know small places. sometimes they are the best so it should be at the top of this road this is basically the road to Ropongi station so it's not too far from here well there they are guys I can see it on the horizon , Up there.
Great, look at this place, the Empire Steakhouse, it would have been more fun if it was the Empire State Building. Unfortunately, they lost a couple points there because of the really big sign. I thought it would be a bigger place, but there are actually only four seats. I can see someone sitting at the counter and I think there will only be a couple more seats, so I don't know to what extent I'll be able to watch an atmospheric video to show them what it's all about. I like the interior, but the most important thing is the food, so let's try it.
Oh my god, I haven't had falafels that taste this good since I was in Israel, they are so good, not everything is gluten free, he told me. that the fries were gluten free, but I'm really suspicious of those fries, they were wedges, he told me it's all potato and paprika, he said that's all, but when I was biting into them it had the same kind of crunch. which you would get when you have a layer of flowers. I was like gluten free, definitely gluten free, are you sure it's gluten free? and he said the pita bread is obviously not gluten free, but he said everything else is, but Then when I was reading the menu, there were a few things that I thought don't seem gluten free to me.
I don't know if I want to recommend this to anyone with celiac disease. I would recommend it to vegans, although they are vegan and vegetarian. We're not going to have any problems, it was 2900 yen for what we just ate and that's about 30 US dollars, 35 or 38 Australian dollars and if you think about it, for six falafels and some leafy salad and then a plate of hummus. That's a lot of money, I think it's probably the worst value ever, but if you really fancy some falafels then you know you can get them here in Roppongi, so that's it for lunch and then for dinner. dinner.
I'm actually really excited about dinner. The place we are going to dinner is great, so stay tuned. I lied to you. I said see you at dinner, but I forgot to tell you that I bought a gluten-free cookie. There was gluten. -free cookie on the counter it was a coconut cookie here it is here I'm not sure if it's homemade or not it smells very coconutty oh my god ah I can't find it listen how am I going to eat this oh here we go okay oh my god oh, I can't eat it, it was rock solid, as hard as a rock, I feel like it would have been good at one point, but it went stale, they just overcooked it, but it tastes like coconut. and white chocolate, but, yeah, no, okay guys, it's not dinner time yet, but we're already hungry, so we're here at the gluten-free tea kitchen, which is also called six one cafe, I think it's called Now, this place is really supposed to be. really popular is destined to be very, very good.
I've heard a lot of good things about it. Everything on the menu is gluten-free, so let's go into the gluten-free tea kitchen, on the second floor, up the stairs so you can't access it. Through the elevator we apparently enjoy a gluten-free life. Without gluten. Vegan. No nuts. Dairy free. No egg. No soy. Wow, that's a huge menu. We support people who have gluten allergies and other dietary restrictions as this issue in Japan is still not okay. We know that we are working hard to spread gluten-free cuisine throughout Japan. If you want to support us, write a review on Tripadvisor.
Mushroom marinade with truffle oil. French fries. Spring rolls with vegetables. Pig. Yours are vegan gyoza. Shrimp and vegetable tempura. Vegetable tempura. Cajun fried. chicken asian salad chicken ramen miso butter corn ramen sandwich spicy teriyaki sandwich vegan bread rice dish yakiniku sukiyaki um yum vegan curry curry with salad vegan macaroni and cheese pork pork bolognese yakisoba seafood yakisoba okonomiyaki and vegetables soy meat taco rice wow this is so exciting oh even in the back we have dessert, chocolate brownie, pancake, cherry blossom cake and today's ice cream dish and seasonal desserts, certified gluten free, cherry kombucha, caffeine free, I like it How it sounds, I think I'm going to get that no cherry on my chicken.
Wow, that's so cute, I love it, so we just brought this. This is a survey that says we are serious about supporting gluten-free people. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. We do not have any precise data on celiac disease or wheat. Allergy in Japan just tastes like normal Japanese curry. I didn't think that normally Japanese curry is quite brown. I didn't think it would taste the same, but it tastes exactly like regular Japanese curry. So here is my cake. It's like a cherry. flower cake I think we have matcha ice cream oh wow oh my goodness that's so good it's so delicious I can't believe it's gluten free I have no idea how they make this it's so tasty very impressed yeah like shake it in my heart.
Impressed, I would go back gluten-free homemade soft biscuits, that's something that, eh, the falafel brothers could learn a thing or two about soft biscuits, okay, here's my yakiniku meat, it looks very, very tasty, good portion of meat, Nice salad, big pile of rice and chips, so we've doubled the carb intake, but it's gluten-free. These look like Macca chips, oh, mmm, oh, they're really good, okay, here goes, I absolutely adore yakiniku, it's just one of my favorite things. Beef yakiniku or teriyaki. I'll call it in some places this has obviously been made with gluten free soy sauce oh that's good I'm going to try the spring rolls oh wow they're really interesting they're packed with mushrooms and pepper and it's super salty the dough tastes like dough normal pillow.
It could use some of this chili sauce they gave me, listen to the crunch, I don't understand how they do it, I don't know how it can be gluten. free, it's so good, I really think this is my favorite thing I've ever tried, it's amazing. You underestimate how much I love meat. I really don't think they need to serve this with fries, like you're serving rice, not really. I don't need to serve fries I feel like it's just please foreigners throw some fries at you sorry fries okay guys we just finished dinner and I have to say it was a bit expensive it cost 7430 yen, which is 75 US dollars, which is probably even 90 Australian dollars, that was a lot, so look, I think if you want to have a good night out, for example, I think you'd really like it if you're willing to spend a bit. more but you couldn't eat there every day.
The place we went to for dinner last night could be eaten every day. I don't think you could eat here every day. That was very expensive. Guys, we're at the top of Mori Tower. in roppongi and I'm finally going to try this solid rough falafel brothers cookie because I have a coffee here so if I dip it maybe it'll be edible now oh it's a bit good morning guys I'm coming. For you from a new part of Tokyo that I've never been to before, so this is day three. We are one stop from Shibuya. This place is called daikan yama daikanyama.
I'm pretty sure it's called now. There's a cafe here called blue jam. coffee that is supposed to be very, very good, so apparently this coffee is supposed to be aWest Coast style breakfast and lunch spot. Now as a humble Australian I don't really know what the west coast means dad well the west coast is where los angeles and san francisco oh ok los angeles that's where the youtubers are so this must be very fashion. Forgive me for not knowing anything about American geography. Now this menu is not 100% gluten free so you should check the items before ordering them but I'm assuming everything will have a little logo marked next to it that says gluten free and I read online that you should try the hot chocolate with milk almonds and ginger.
I also read that you should try the fish tacos, now might be a little early in the morning for fish tacos, it's 8am. m., but you know we're trying to go to a couple of these cafes today, so we're starting early, so I'll take a look at the menu. When we get there apparently it's only 130 meters from the station so this building Behind me is daikanyama station now if I put it on Google Maps it wants me to go in that direction here we go look open for breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, oh look at that dad, you were right about the gluten friendly vegan. -Free Wi-Fi and most importantly free, so now it feels like you are on the second basement floor.
That makes me sad because if it's in the basement, will there be windows? Will it be a cafeteria without windows? depressing at breakfast time you need sunlight to help you wake up so okay I see gluten free, gluten free, gluten free, gluten free, gfp, what is possible without gluten?, okay, another one, another one, this one, this one, that one, that one, that one, that one Basically everything, almost everything, this is a huge menu, oh my gosh, go on. There is a Mexican section. Sandwiches, burgers, desserts. That's the biggest menu I've seen so far. It's huge. I need to start taking notes.
Well, guys, I finished breakfast. I wanted the normal aragula, it's arugula in Australia. I wanted the Arugula Cobb Salad, but it was 2,300 yen, which is about AU$28 per salad, and I was thinking there was no way I was spending almost $30 on my first meal of the day. So I went with the fish tacos because when I saw all the reviews online, a lot of people were raving about the gluten free fish tacos and I have to say it was the worst decision I have made on this trip so far. I hated them. so much so that the tortilla was horrible, I mean I've had gluten free tortillas before and it wasn't that bad, it was like sandpaper, but it really fell apart when I picked up the fish taco, the whole thing fell apart. trying to eat it and there was stuff everywhere, it kept breaking and tearing and it tasted horrible.
Also, the fish inside was fried, I don't know what the batter was, maybe rice flour or something, but the fish had no flavor, it just didn't taste like anything, so I drowned it in spicy sauce, drowned it completely . It tasted like hot sauce after that, which is fine by me because I love hot sauce, but yeah, I wouldn't recommend the fish tacos now that my dad ate an egg. The dish and eggs seemed to be very, very well cooked, but when I tried it, I personally thought the eggs were quite soft. The best part of Dad's plate I thought were the potatoes, but strangely he didn't like potatoes which he had never seen before. boiled potatoes like that I think it was called hash or something, I'm not sure it was really unusual because they were chopped very small and they were kind of crunchy, they were tasty, they were quite oily, although we also got hot chocolates, we got them. uh hot chocolates with almond milk and ginger, they were now 750 yen alone and then when you get almond milk add an extra 100 yen, the total bill was about 5,500 yen, 60 Australian dollars, that's a lot for breakfast, We all ordered one. plate each and a drink each and that's 30 ahead which makes me want to reconsider my life choices so the next place we're going to is called revive kitchen and this was recommended to me by Yusuke Sun who was the owner of it.
The first restaurant we visited on the first day, so we will take a short walk through the streets. We'll leave breakfast and then head to Revive Kitchen for lunch. Ok guys, we found Revive Kitchen. It's here behind me. It's a really beautiful place, very elegant. I heard that if you want to come here for dinner you definitely need a reservation. Apparently they won't let you in. You need a reservation. I don't know if you need one for breakfast. or lunch so let's go in and find out we have kale vegan gluten free broccoli green lemon that sounds really tasty cauliflower chickpeas tarragon green peas gluten free couscous and sesame velvety and smooth mousse green peas and couscous whoa sorbet chinese yam and mustard greens barley pressed wait, I'm confused barley is not gluten free we also have pineapple almond milk and rum caramel pineapple toast this is not gluten free that's the only thing that doesn't work coconut ginger orange oh wow very interesting but it has a really unusual texture, It's like puffed rice, it has a lot of flavor, it seems to be very good for you, well guys, where to start.
I made some notes again, basically everything on the menu is marked gluten free, but... I'm a little worried because I noticed things I didn't think were gluten free - there was barley and couscous, so I'm not entirely sure if Somehow they have managed to find a way here in Japan to eliminate gluten. Because of those things, the food I ordered was some kind of barley risotto. Now it clearly said on the menu that it was gluten free, but I know from my experience as a child that barley is certainly not gluten free and I did a quick Google search and sure. enough, everything I saw on Google said that Bali is not gluten free, so I called the waitress and in very broken Japanese I basically told her that oshimugiwa guru tenpuri deska is basically what they call bali or at least that's how it was written. on the menu so he left and came back to me with an ipad that had google translate open and said barley doesn't contain gluten for making bread so bread doesn't puff up well when the baked wheat gluten is form from gliadin and gluten in but bali uses pordian instead of gliadin ah look I didn't want to cause a fuss so I just said arigato gozaimasu I mean let's start a discussion next because guys I'm worried that if you were celiac and the traces of gluten could send them. to a hospital, I don't know if you want to risk it, I mean, unless the Japanese have somehow figured out how to remove gluten from barley, but all my research says you can't remove gluten from barley, so I have I have no idea there are supposed to be things like pancakes and french toast, I guess we must have been a little late for that menu because the menu we saw was basically all salad, now talking about the salad, something my dad noticed that I kept pointing it out because I was horrified that the chef was preparing the food and was using his fingers without gloves, which is fine, I understand that chefs wash their hands before preparing the food, but he was touching it and then licking it . his fingers and then immediately put his fingers back into the food I saw him take a silver bowl he filled it with several salad leaves he put the cauliflower and he put the salad leaves and all this kind of stuff he used his fingers he put a little salt and a little pepper sprinkled a little oil, his hand went like this and massaged the salad, then like this and then he put his hand back on my dad's salad at first while dad was explaining this to me, dad was sitting there and I just watched him lick . a spoon and then I put it back in my food I was dad, you must be imagining it so what I did then I changed seats with dad so I could look at the kitchen from where I was and sure enough, he takes a bowl and scrapes this dressing out of the bowl puts it on a plate licks the spoon puts the spoon down and then I watched him a couple of minutes later when he took the exact same spoon and then used it to put dressing on someone else's food, I could see he did it like he didn't even I wasn't even embarrassed, but anyway, in general, good food wouldn't work again.
Be careful with gluten free even though it is marked gluten free, I'm not entirely sure so with that, let's get to this cosme. cuisine adaptation and have some foreign afternoon tea so foreign so cuisine adaptation cosme if this buffet is gluten free I'm going to opt for that so I went and asked about the buffet not everything is gluten free gluten most of the time. items there are some things that may contain contaminants there was a soup that she said is not gluten free she was pointing to something that said this is this is not this is not this I don't think it's too risky if you're a celiac so I would recommend You order off the menu because the menu is guaranteed to be gluten-free.
We have rice bowls. Gluten-free pasta does not contain gluten. Enjoy the brown rice noodles. 200 yen can be changed to gluten free. There you go, the hot pot. gluten free, plus those two simple grilled grass fed beef steaks, rooibos tea, stewed pork ribs, apple ginger sauce, oh we also have gluten free sweets here, gluten free, gluten free, gluten free gluten, wow, this is awesome. awesome dad's food looks absolutely amazing this is apparently vegan gluten free some kind of meat substitute that was a whirlwind of emotions if I ate that I didn't know it was vegan I think it was chicken that's so good I can't believe it's gluten free and vegan at the same time, it is absolutely delicious, so here is my my rui boss pork and it smells very strong of apple and rooibos tea.
It smells absolutely amazing. I'm so excited. Oh, it's so cute it's falling off the bone. I didn't even have to cut it, it just broke apart, yes it's unusual because it's very tender but also very chewy. You couldn't order this and not have the salad buffet. You just couldn't do it. It's so salty that I regret ordering it. this because after trying dad's I wish I had tried it because it's so good, I'm not saying the pork isn't excellent, dad's is just soup, dad do you know how much it cost, oh dear, um, um, in our money probably about seventy dollars seventy dollars in Australian dollars so figure maybe six thousand yen yeah are you ready for me to tell you how much it was?
No, it was 11,500 yen. Wow, that's about 130 Australian dollars, which is terrifying. I was going to recommend it, but after receiving the invoice I have decided that I am not going to recommend it to you. The main meal I ate with pork was just pork served with some sort of mash underneath, not served. with the salad or anything and they recommend you get the lunch salad when you add the lunch salad buffet it costs around 1,300 yen on top of the 2,200 yen for the meal and then all the drinks are at least 700 yen for each drink . So, I don't really have much else to say, so for dinner we headed to a place called "Where's a Dog" and it has that interesting name for an interesting reason that I'll show you when we get there, so this restaurant is just three minutes walk from Waseda station.
This is a 100% gluten-free restaurant, which I am very excited about. It's called Where's a Dog? because apparently when you walk in there, that's the only question on your mind while you're there. Looking around you wonder where a dog is based on Google reviews. This is a gluten free place not to be missed so I have high hopes, fingers crossed we love it, I'm sure we'll get in for the pizza. Well I tried the chicken first and then I tried the sausage pizza, they were pretty good, not great, a little soggy though. The side dishes were very small for 500 yen.
They do have a fridge though in the back. store that is full of gluten free bread bagels, they had lots of gluten free snacks around the counter that you can buy. I really didn't like that the drinks were so small for the price and the menu was very limited. I didn't like it either. I didn't find the dog, which was a big disappointment. I ordered a pancake for dessert and the pancake was very dry, almost inedible. The pizza was good though, but the best thing was definitely the cozy atmosphere. I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant.
I could have stayed there all night especially since it's cold outside, it was very warm and cozy inside and if you're a crazy cat person you'll feel right at home, well guys that was the top 10 gluten free restaurants in Tokyo I hope If you liked this video, please give us a thumbs up, subscribe, if you haven't already, you can find me on Instagram.
