HUGE Power Upgrades on my DREAM SCOOTER

In this video I'm going to double the

of my 50cc

scooter

and show you how I did it every step of the way. You may be wondering why low-

s are some of the most popular. Nimble and lightweight bikes you can get, but unfortunately they all suffer from the same problem. Now they are slow. Do not misunderstand. These bikes offer quick acceleration off the line, but their top speeds often resemble those in a school zone. Honestly, it makes them dangerous on most roads, so today I want to fix that. I am going to modify, upgrade and install the necessary components to make my scooter more capable and powerful than I could have ever imagined, so let's go back to the beginning, this scooter was in storage the entire time I had it and worked great until recently. bit, this time it's going to boot for me, look, this is what normally happens, but then it will die, look, I don't guarantee you it won't. start again, the dough is dying, all that shuts it down, so the bike has been having this problem for a while, where it will start running for a couple of seconds, but then it will shut down and won't start again, and like this problem It is most likely due to a small problem in the fuel supply, such as a dirty carburetor.

Your average mechanic would take this bike to the shop and have it running like new again in 30 minutes, but I'm not your average mechanic, so I ordered a box full of $675 worth of awesome scooter parts to hopefully double the power of this one. Honda Elite. I'm pretty sure this is a cool escape and we've got the good stuff there. Leave this. I'm not even a scooter guy so not really. I don't know what this is all about, this is a 70c kit and then here it looks like we have a variator bell, a clutch bell, something like that and we have a Pini variator and then it looks like we have some kind of primary gear, which we don't do.

huge power upgrades on my dream scooter...

I don't know belt, we have Jets, this is like a spring for something more elastic for something. I guess for this this has to be like the clutch, it looks like we have some shims right here, we're going to be running. a Mosi 70c kit I basically asked my friend on Instagram who knows a lot more about scooters than me to hook me up with what he thought was good and this is what we ended up with so here we were again ready for another build but this time on a type of bike I had never worked on before.

That said, I've worked on my fair share of motorcycles and been told that scooters are some of the easiest to work on, so I started working on this. I rode the bike confident that I had the skills to do the job, but on the typical J Fashion two-stroke it didn't take me long to realize that I wouldn't be able to do it without a little help, so there I was standing on a deconstructed scooter looking like a deer caught in the headlights and that's when I had to face reality. I don't know what I'm looking at, but luckily someone else saw me.
huge power upgrades on my dream scooter
I'm Batman earlier in the day, when I was feeling more ambitious about this. project I posted this Instagram story and just when I had lost motivation and was about to give up on my good friend toaster, SSO responded, toaster was one of the first guys I saw doing wheelies on a 50cc scooter, he's the guy which made me want to buy one. mine and he's the guy who put together the update package I'm installing in this video so yeah he's kind of the OG and luckily for me we were talking back and forth the rest of the night and he gave me step by step instructions. on how to install each part of this build and he assured me that if I follow each step this bike will work and ride great without needing any additional adjustments, so with all that being said I headed back to the garage confident that I now had the knowledge I needed To finish this build and I was going to follow these instructions word for word now that I had an idea of what needed to be done, the first step was to take the bike down and clean it as much as possible that way.
You could start construction from scratch with the plastic covers already removed. Now I can remove the carburetor along with the CVT cover and all the internal components. The scooter will also receive a new performance exhaust, so I went ahead and removed the original one. This is where things get confusing for me because this is the entire drivetrain on the bike and I don't know how it works, it's a CVT system, whatever that means, so I'm going to try to take it apart and see what happens. I guess I don't even know how it's supposed to come out.
Hopefully these are all normal threads. Let's see, going straight to impact is never a good sign. M. Look, this all just comes off as very elegant. Okay, I'm taking it apart. just completely ooh completely not knowing what I'm doing here I think those are the weights we need those okay it's a crankshaft right there and this looks like a starter gear something like that it goes so it goes so it goes like this such a cool little feat of engineering right here, look at that wow, who designed that guy, that's so cool. I love seeing it well.
The CVT side made with everything now removed from the engine. I could really see how much this thing needed a wash and being that way. I was following Toter's advice word for word. He recommended a greaser from Walmart, so guess where I went. Oh, it's lovely. It's definitely much better. I must say that the plugs worked. Don't know. I think that has to keep it dry. There the glorified Razor scooter right now oh god let's go into the deep gravel hell yeah wa woo yeah now that the bike was clean I needed to access the top end of the motor so I removed anything else that was in the path.
I took advantage of this opportunity. With everything removed from the engine to clean the cases as much as I could, we are as clean as I am going to get this engine, this is like a dirty rebuild here, but the first thing I want to do is take off. this top end here and replace it with the one on this boom box what we are dealing with here is a Mosi engine and a special part made in Italy this is a Mosi 70cc cylinder for the Honda Elite af16 engine it has a head here two exhaust bolts the cylinder itself friendly fire fire safety pins and the gasket kit right there, damn, mine doesn't look like that, huh.
I think we're going to start by ripping off the head here, removing this cylinder and seeing what's underneath. and then put that new cylinder in here now, luckily this assembly of this two stroke top end is exactly the same as any dirt bike or moped I've ever made before so I was pretty confident going into this and not even 10 minutes later, the top. The end was disassembled and I was ready to put the shiny new MOSI components on, but first I wanted to make sure this old gasket material was completely scraped out of the case that way the new top end would have a nice tight seal and then I installed the Escape New Cylinder Failures MOSI, One of the most important parts of installing a two-stroke top end is making sure everything is fully lubricated with two-stroke oil before putting it back together.
Then I was installing the piston rings and apparently these come pregnant from MOSI, so you don't need to adjust the Gap to the right size or anything, they're just ready to throw the bike away now. I'm screwed oh my legendary eyesight bro oh my god that could have been Bad I finally opened up the gaskets and used some Honda Bond on the base gasket to make sure there was a tight seal and after that I was ready to install the piston into the bike and replace the cylinder. Yes, let's look at the piston. on that new MOSI top end there like swimsuit baby now, while I had the rear wheel out of the toaster, they suggested I take the brakes completely off to make sure everything was fully lubricated that way I could be sure the brakes They were working as they should with the brakes removed.
I use a little anti-seize lubricant on the cam pivot of the drum brakes to make sure they don't stick. I'm not sure how effective this is, but I use some sandpaper on the drum pads to get rid of any glazing that may have occurred due to overheating over time, I also used sandpaper on the inside of the drum. wheel because they were pretty rusty and looked like they could use some help, that's definitely better to get all the rust off, you should clean these things up while I take them off. I definitely think the drum brake pivot was moving a lot easier now, so taking them apart was probably for a better check of the brakes.
I think this guy can come back in here now, so far we have the top end of the rear wheel on the brakes. are located, the rear brake feels quite good. I can't lie now. I guess we have exhaust, then we have the CVT stuff on the other side, all the stuff in this box here, after that everything will be easy, put all the plastics back. On it and we will be on the streets, it was already the third day working on this scooter and today was going to be interesting because I am installing the CVT components, something I have never done before.
What I wanted to do was change the clutch spring behind here this little spring here there should be new clutch springs a new clutch and a new spring right here a counter spring but I need to take this apart first and in order to do it you I need to remove this large nut from the top. I went and bought this which is 1 and 1116 because the US is a little slow when it comes to measuring and it's definitely not the right size and it turns out I thought it was 42mm it's actually 39mm so I need to drive approx. an hour to get a 39mm socket, remove it, put it on and mount it on the scooter.
They will never understand on YouTube why it takes so long to make them. videos this is why 39 is on the road again with a 39mm and it fits perfectly here. All I know is that it's pressurized by that spring, so you have to make sure you pressurize it with something people say. They usually use their feet and then you loosen them up, which is going to be hard, no, this is so stupid, my calves are on fire right now bro, I think I'm just rounding this off, fucking serious, the tapered edge of the lace was causing it . so we ended up flattening it so it would fit better and I also borrowed a larger impact because the hammer method definitely didn't cut it, we trimmed it so now it's flat it definitely fits there a lot better, let's move on. take the big gun try to get this out of here oh god here we go there we go so inside here we have the spring, the clutch itself and this thing.
I don't know what this is, so this new MOSI clutch comes standard with these. It has white springs, but the kit comes with these yellow springs which I think make the clutch a little stiffer. Try to clean this thing it's super dirty. Oh, look at that, get up from there. I guess we need this piece of plastic here. so it says this thing this thing this thing push it down put my feet there turn on this nut there we go boom boom clutch back together we have the yellow clutch springs and the yellow spring there so it should be good to screw it on come on because I don't know exactly what is this, so next I unpack the Pini clutch bell and the variator, so the Pini variator kit comes with two different weights, a 6.9G weight and a 5.6G weight, so we'll go to a 6.9 5.6 toaster.
I can alternate these and use one and then the other back and forth, so that's what I did. Everything was prepped now and ready to be put back on the bike so I installed the clutch and the new clutch. Bell then went a new MOSI belt and then a Pini variator and a new dry face. These shims were also included for the variator and come in three different thicknesses. You should use one of the thicker ones and one of the medium ones between the dry side and the variator to get the correct gap. The CVT was now fully installed and I was ready for the next stage of the build.
I started by cleaning the plastic covers that cover the engine and cylinder and with this new MOSI kit I really needed to make a new hole in this to fit the spark plug. I started the fourth day by removing the carburetor and installing a new main jet and yes, let's not forget that when we worked on these bikes it's from 1995 and this car has probably never been cleaned, so you'll want to do that. make sure you do this while you separate it, use the 86m jet in the naruku kit. I bought it in the naruku jet kit with the new jet installed and the carburetor completely cleaned.
It was time to put it back on the bike to accommodate the larger main jet. The air box needed some slight modifications but first I wanted to clean it up so the way they go together when they're together basically the inlet goes through here through the filter and then it flows into the carburetor but this little inlet here is like a road input. Here and then the other is blocked,so you can see one open right here, the other one is blocked and you're supposed to be able to pull this one out, I guess to free up more airflow, so I'm going to try that. do that, I don't know how hard it will be to get a little hammer to start coming out.
This doesn't sound scientific at all, but I'm just trying to open this airway here, sometimes you have to destroy to make things better, boom, look at that. and now as you can see there are two holes instead of just one, double the epic airflow, with the airbox now cleaned and modified, it was time to put it back on the bike and obviously I wanted to clean the covers of the transmission before. I installed it and now it's time to build one of my favorite parts of the build, the exhaust, oh those welds are sick, this is fire and now with everything put back together it's finally time to start for the first time, yeah, That sounds great, brother. that throttle response so much better than it was before, oh my god guys, it takes away what, oh my god, oh my god, I can't even ride it like that, that's crazy, it seriously accelerates like three times as fast as what I used to do, that's awesome, man, wow, that.
It blew my mind I literally put a 70 kit on this thing that's all I did and some CBT work scooters are sick oh my god I can't wait we have to put the seat here try this and before . Finally I installed the plastics. I decided to clean everything as best I could before installing it back on the bike so I could start again. I realized I forgot to turn on the taillight. I wondered why it looks so empty back here, literally. It doesn't have a taillight on, okay, I have to do that. I wanted to take it to the parking lot, though to open it up on a longer drive because it has so much torque now that it literally pulls wheelies like it does here.
I used to have to throw my entire body into it at this point. It was completely still there and it does wheelies, oh my gosh guys, that's hard to describe. I can't believe this is the original carburetor and it makes so much power, it's crazy man, it literally used to max out. at 25, maybe it would go 30 downhill, but 25 or so is what you're getting, so I don't know what's about to hit here, but let's see, oh man, we're still pulling, oh my gosh, oh. Dude, I was still accelerating at the end of the lot. I got to 35 like 34 on the way down.
It had to go like almost 50 right there, that's crazy, it got to 35 and when it got to 35 I could feel it almost in a second gear like the CVT, the way it works, you get to a certain RPM and it just grips even tighter. , it pulls you even more, that was crazy, oh my god, this thing is sick, it's a lot faster than I thought. That would be really ridiculous, my God. I don't know, I'm left speechless. All of these mods cost $675, guys. I bought this bike for $700. I put $675 in mods on it and I feel like I could handle this thing. on the fucking highway, dude, oh this is sick, oh my god, I feel like I'm coasting like a 40 mph wheelie or something, this doesn't look like it should be, oh my god, dude, that doesn't look like it should be permitted. it's so smooth you're going like 45M an hour and one hit of the accelerator makes you do a wheelie oh that's amazing guys the last video I mentioned this scooter in by the way it got literally tons of views , my most viewed video. on the channel I just like to say how much I like this scooter and it was in its original form in that whole video.
I'm doing wheelies at 10-15 mph and now I'm on the same bike for $600 worth of parts, that's all. I took and I'm doing weedies at 45 mph. I need to put GPS on this thing because it's so wild. I'm literally swearing to never swear in my videos and I know better than to swear because this thing is driving me crazy. I swear it's like clearing my filter, oh god, that's so wild, man. I thought I liked this before, shit. I like it 10 times more. Now let's test the ability of this on the street today. I haven't ridden on the street yet.
I only went to the parking lot for about an hour, broke it at one point and we are also with a large bike group so this little 50cc converted to 70 on a large bike group definitely feels a little out of place. I don't know how the top speed will keep up with these guys, but we'll find out. Yeah, okay, can I upload it here? I really doubt it, man, we're going like 35, I don't know how fast we're going. come on we're stuck at 35 whatever it is it's not that bad mate you really just have to give it as much throttle as possible.
You're rolling with the big boys, check this out, I got 450s 500s all around me with Hot Boys, oh God. God this is amazing guys yeah here we go here we go woo oh this is so good I don't think I'll have any problem keeping up with the group this whole time. I've been in front of everyone, this is so good. Guys I can't recommend this build enough with enough Honda Elite 50 600 parts and some money and it's like one of the most solid bikes I've ever ridden, it feels so good from start to finish, again, mind blowing.
The street test passed. is by far a

huge

hit this thing is just amazing woo the night vibes ladies and gentlemen yeah woo yeah oh i love it scoot central baby now all I need is y'all my friends get scooters, build them exactly the same way and have an Absolut Squadron. patrolling the city
