Now we're going to build something nice, so for this project we'll use some. northeastern cherry that was air dried so it has a nice red hue. We're going to stand on it a little bit, but I need to grind it to make it pretty first, so let's get it right, folks, so let's put. This casing as a whole should be pretty simple, we are using brad nails and countersunk screws on this. I don't have any fans so my audios are good so to all your audio files out there that like how horrible my audio is, I only want you. to know that I can die of heat stroke here just to appease the audio files, okay, so the external case is done.

I just need to put these interior panels in so we can mount the drawers in the center there instead of one pocket holding everything together. The guys noticed that I was using face pins and screws, my preferred method because it takes forever to cut the pocket holes. The other part is that I'm going to cut some notches in these so that everything slides in and stays nice and square, and they'll do the same thing. blue dowel screw reinforcement and the case will be fine, so we have the case built. I have all the panels glued together, that will be the shape of the face.
W word no, yes, face photo, now we need to focus on the top. which will be a concrete top, which means we need a melamine shape, my favorite. Okay, this is a pretty basic mold. If you're looking to do some of this yourself, check out my friend Mike Clifford at the modest royal maker. he is a connoisseur of concrete, he has done it. I'm a lot more of this and he's my go-to resource for all things concrete, so don't ask me any questions. Call Kaufman to dry the molds. Now we have this thing level in both directions.
For the most satisfying part of any concrete project, removing the extra silicone. Sam quit your job and take the 500 pounds of concrete. I'm kidding, we're going to mix some concrete that we renewed outside so we don't make a big mess. Here and then we're going to pour this countertop, fingers crossed it doesn't crack or break or anything. Fortunately, concrete is pretty affordable, so if you do it, we should have some time to redo it and then you might have to call some people. Some help like Mike Clipper, get your phone ready. I may call you, so welcome to the new part of the store where you can see we have Miss Piggy, my new CNC, and we are very excited, this will actually be the first project we do.
We've run it, we're going to make a

huge

W for Winchester on the wall behind the counter and we're obviously going to do it with

epoxy

, so we need to cut a custom mold to get the Ws out now that we need. okay, now we're going to take this one out and then we're going to assemble them together for the mold. This is the first time it should work. I think in theory it's fine, we'll see. I love it when you do good lashes. Since we are all together, it is very nice to prevent the

epoxy

from seeping into the MDF, now we need to line the inside with Tyvek tape and now that I think about it, I should have bought plastic or something that we learn kids, so the mold is ready Hawkings crossed his dry fingers this thing is tight because otherwise it will ruin the floor we are in the office to control the temperature we have an ace seen and up here the glass pour we did in the store was that waterfall table that exploded, no we want that in this, so we're going to try to control the temperature as much as we can.
We'll be using a red dye in this guide, which is a little different than what we normally do. Should be cool, imagine the only rule for epoxies is to keep it out of your eye. I take off my glasses because I'm hot and sweaty. Pumpkin is right in my eye so go buy yourself a pair of these linked below and literally. Never take them off, it's okay, bear with me kids, it's so hot in here, my tits might fall out of my shirt 'cause we're going with the button-down life, yeah, the Timberland pros have new shirts, which means John will be naked in three quarters, but we.
I also have the fans screaming at the top of their lungs, all you audiophiles that like to give me cause my audio sucks, we have an excuse this time, it's not just me that's breaking down, so what we're going to do now is put this together cabinet casing, let's get these. installed side panels and then this back plate that we are going to fill for some expansion in the contractions so we will cut some expansion joints and then we will start working on the face frame for the front so to mount these face frames we are going to use cookies, we're going to use some cookie slip joint, that way I don't have to fake this or do any alignment.
Okay, kids, it's not because of the fun part of this project that we're going to do. full scale or 440 inch high shotgun shells. I have some plates with the bottom cut on the CNC on the street, now we have to do the bottom here, so what I'm going to think about is we have these. 4 inch 16 gauge steel strips. I'm going to try to make a circle and solder it there, if that doesn't work well we'll talk it out and put it in place, so I made a little jig now that we're at it. I'm going to see if I can bend this to the radius I want and our goal here is to get it closer because I think I can get it into place.
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know anything. I'd love not to be, thank you, but the question liner is what people want on the front of this

desk

. What we're going to do is replicate the bottom part of the shotgun shell so we can do it, we had the letters and so on. cut in the plasma and I'm going to solder this donut so the letters on the shell are depressed, we can't do that with a feel so I'm going to solder a donut on the back, it should give it a little bit of backing. all of our letters are beautiful so when they cut them out I asked them to keep all of them instead of making it look like a stencil cut where you like to hold the a outside of the tab.
What we're going to do is just drill. a hole called maybe dip, but I don't know if you'll weld it to the back of Claude's jacket, cheers, go ahead, I put in all that work that's going to look great, so for these super awesome shotgun shells that will go both ways. We couldn't make that sheet metal work and John went out looking for other options, so while John looks for new materials for his shotgun shells, you stay with me and we're going to go ahead and make some drawers. for this salmon our new boy jordan shop apprentice welcome to the team he is behind you he is very shy or you waste your time going with him yeah you might not want me on camera you must first Ask those things, it's 20/20 people. insensitive, so they have all the pieces prepared for the drawers anyway.
We're doing a super basic assembly of full drawers, the bane of my existence, but we had two budget constraints for this guy, so we'll screw them together and then finish this case. with the back panel, yes that should be it, also get a lot of requests for the clown t-shirt to be released, if you want one you have to tell me below because if I don't get a lot of people wanting them, I won't make them so let me know know, since the back panel we're putting on it is solid wood, it's going to expand and contract like this, which means I need to create a place for that to happen the way we built it.
We actually created an expansion joint in this corner and then this corner is going to be covered with a dummy shotgun, so we need to make some slots to mount our piece and then we'll use removable joinery instead of just using normal screws that the fasteners have. It wouldn't be an elected John if something involved in the project didn't weigh over 400 pounds, hence this ridiculous concrete cap. We are going to use GF RC. I didn't have enough time or materials to do it, so we went. With the classic interpretation of a concrete countertop, we're going to have to do some tweaking.
The first thing we have to make is mold D. Pray for me. We are outside the mold. It looks decent. I tried using this flow drag. product and what it does is reduce the amount of water needed in the mixture. I ran out of it and obviously I only have it in this place. I knew I was going to need a coat of grout, so we're going to use the same thing that we used on the rock on the waterfall table and hopefully I can get this color a little more uniform and filling all of these posts, we're going to snap this in and then we will epoxy it on site, we will try to keep this in parts to keep it light. to take it to the destination in Ohio, so we're going to snap this into place.
I wanted to screw it in from the inside, but there was no way to hide those fasteners, so we're going to press it in so we can do that. so I need it to be pretty perfect with our mounting holes, so we're going to mount a four inch rod perfectly square to the back of this in these four corners and then I'm going to take this and we should be able to find the use that we use. The same square as a template to mount our holes should work in theory, so what we did was find the center line on our circle and then we used the square centered on the center line to make sure everything is square, so I have a mark here to mark here, in general, we should be very closed in theory.
You should be able to take this same template, drill the hole, push it in there now that we can finish this, so let's paint this sucker with some mountain. I tried the colors ago and we liked it, it looks better without primer in my opinion, it looks better with primer and Sam went to school to take pictures and celebrate and all kinds of things, so we'll go with my pinky because I went to school to play soccer and learn business, neither of which I did, so a unique little thing I wanted to add to this project was to use the Winchester shells for the drawer posts, but I don't want to keep them full of shot, so what let's do?
What I'm going to do is pour them out and fill them with epoxy. I think it will be a nice little touch. One comment I will get is about leaving the primer there. It's just as safe to leave them on a shelf with the primers in them fully loaded with shot, as it is to dump the shot into the wad and leave the primer on them and then stick them to the front of the drawer, so I don't want to hear your nonsense on the comments, thanks now, let's cut. these things so this is not the color we wanted it to be I wanted it to be this color I used the same color.
The problem is that I didn't use enough, so when it comes to using pigment, I guess there is a lot more to include. Except for what it looks like on the bucket, unfortunately the star has a slightly different chemical composition than the deep blue we have used in the past, we use the same ratio as we used on the deep blue for a 60 liter pour. that we did for this poor 18 liter and yes, I did it, so I called Black Diamond pigment, they were phenomenal, they trained me, we're going to pour another like three and a half liters on top of this, we'll bring that color to what we want.
If so, we will usehigh performance resin from Total Boats for this pork, then we should be able to get the color we're looking for and it will flatten out and we should still hit our timeline, which is within two days. another for the casing is assembled before placing the drawers. I want to give it a top coat, so let's pray this is 10 inch PVC that just arrived from an online order. You can get anything on the Internet and we. I need to cut it, this is how we are going to make our shotgun shells. We were originally going to bend something to make it fit and then I realized I'm an idiot and then this would work better.
The only problem is that I think it was more expensive. The safest way to do it is: I'm going to line it up on the fence. I'm going to stand here while someone puts pressure on the other side and then I'm just going to turn it in the opposite direction of the fence with unstoppable, this shit is about to get real, we're dry, which means we have to try to shape this, pray for me, so since this isn't a table, it's flat enough for what we're using it for, it could be 16º wide off, so we're going to sand it, polish it and then I have to find a way to mount it and light it , you know, it's just another day, so now that the cabinet is finished, the last things we need to do and install these drawers.
Using these drawer slides that I've had for years and a couple of spacers, it should be relatively easy and then who the hell knows, the shotgun shells look good, the paint turned out great, I'm very happy because I sent Sam blindly to the store and spent $100 a gallon on a gallon of paint, but it looks good, so the way we're going to make them look like shotgun shells, so I've got aluminum flashing and we're just going to epoxy it. It's pretty basic, so the first thing we're going to do is put on the flashing and then we'll come back and talk about this down to the metal bottoms, so to make this interesting for the drawer pulls, I'm going to use a shotgun shell. which I filled with resin and we don't have a little bit of the outside dimension of the cartridge, so we have to make these holes and I'll use the CNC.
This should work in theory, that's just a worst case scenario, we completely ruin the front of the drawer and I have to start over even though this is due tomorrow, so let's get our shotgun shells not fitting. under the ledger because when I cut this section it actually shrank, making it stick out. my shell went over the edge of the board here so I made a test piece and all we have to do is tear off a little more and these should fit perfectly where I want them to go, now we have to figure it out. a way to cut three inches, how are our beautiful finished shells made?
It wouldn't be one of my projects if we didn't get antsy, so we've just arrived at the facility where we'll be setting up this rather large event. I guess it's like a family shoot, kids, parents, all kinds of things, a lot of people here, we have to unload the trailer and get this into the building, so this one turned out amazing. I say this in every project, but I think this might be my favorite. Now, if this is one of your favorites, let me know, leave a comment below and if you want to check out another one of my gun projects, I have a whole playlist queued up for you right here.
