water

just to get the air pockets out and make it creamier I'm going to fill in the sides that need a little mud like this, like this, like this, uh, I don't know what it is, but the cats are never very happy with me.
When I'm working on your house, okay, since this last skim coat was with all-purpose joint compound, I'm going to let it dry overnight because I prefer to skip the test texture over the dry joint compound. The next morning I let it dry overnight because I used all-purpose joint compound to do the final skim coat, since all-purpose dries harder and more consistently than hot mud, so before doing the texture of Skip test, I followed up with a damp cloth and just knocked down the little edges along the perimeter that way it will be a good match with the original texture.
What I'm going to do now is hit it with a trowel. I'm going to use my 14 inch Taping Knife to apply the mud from the paddle, so what I'm going to do is just put a strip of probably an inch on the end of the taping knife, there's not a lot of mud that you want to keep, You know, not too much. I'm barely putting pressure on the 14 inch taping blade when I'm pulling, I'm not putting much pressure on it, I'm letting the joint compound and sand do the work and I'm also sensing where the snot is grabbing so I can add a couple of taps and it's all going to blend together when you knock it down so so I just blend it down to nothing with the existing so it's not going to be a good spot so I'm going to go the opposite way to knock it down press slightly towards left, lift to the right and avoid lines forming. coming out of the texture, so next I want to drop to the ground and check it out from there and see what happens if you're 6-2, you can just hit the ceiling without getting back up, just hit any guy and also blend in. so okay, knock it down in the same direction as I did before.
I recommend applying a spot primer to the ceiling repair and new texture and then repainting the entire ceiling to keep everything nice and consistent.
