Now, without further ado, let's get into this video. This is the advanced

guide

. I want to direct you newbies to the beginner's guide I made earlier. Click on the card information at the top right to go to that video and then go back to this one, the only thing I'll talk about in this video that was also in the previous one is its stop and how it works, while in the Punisher mode, a full

cloud

of blocks will stop the opponent's melee attack by hitting in front and behind them, this deals really big stagger damage and can put pressure on most opponents. the cloud guide there was some misinformation on my part and I apologize for that when the cloud is in its default stance and goes into Punisher mode, it emits a white aura around it if a melee enemy attacks you during this animation, the stop will hit them.

You don't need the entire block for this to work, as I said in the previous video, this will stop automatically if you sync the window here. You can also cancel the clouds' basic attacks into Punisher's parry by tapping the triangle at the end of the basic attacks. cancel until the animation plays, you can cancel hits 1-5 into a triangle parry this way and it's a very good option for when you're fighting bosses or larger enemies that quickly recover from heavy hits by parrying by tapping the triangle before an enemy hits you. The cloud takes less damage than you would take instead of holding block, it's a riskier option, but for a solid reward of taking less damage now for cloud weapons, the iconic and default Buster sword is a solid option and well balanced in all aspects, there are not many.

The negative thing to say about the bus sword, you really can't go wrong with it. Each weapon in this game comes with a special ability. When proficiency requirements are met, you actually fully unlock this skill for use on any other focused weapon you choose. Ross has a cloud throw towards enemies that deals damage and hits up to three or four times. You can actually turn your combo chains into focused thrusts, but this is not the way you want to use it when putting an enemy in the pressure state that he is in. where you want to cancel the focus push, this state allows them to take additional stagger damage from being pushed.
This is how you need to use these focus attacks. Cloud Barrett and Tifa have one, as does Aerith. I have a video that goes into more depth. About this, so click on the card at the top right if you're interested there's also a pretty broken matter combo to stagger that involves time, so you don't want to miss that the bravery of this next move is a skill unlocked by default for cloud. Ideally, this move should be used primarily to attack single-target enemies. It does quite a bit of damage, but unlike the other moves, it doesn't have much use if you group enemies together.
It can't hit multiple people at once, but it's not really something you should use. For a triple hit against a single target it is much better and does more damage, in my opinion, the braver ones can also hit flying enemies, but it is quite inconsistent at least for me. Next is the iron blade, which is a magical and matter-friendly weapon. This sword offers more magic. damage and materia slots and the Buster Sword, so if you're gearing up for a magic caster build, this is where you want to start. This sword's special ability is triple slash, this move hits three times, causing the cloud to launch towards each target and deal more damage per hit if there is only one target, the cloud will focus all three hits on them, this move It's awesome to use because the cloud is lightly armored and you can easily pressure most enemies with this move to help generate some awe.
I often use this. move to start fights thanks to the first hit matter which we will see later in this video, the tracking on this move is amazing and the cloud can really take down enemies with this, just like focus thrusts, the cloud could cancel their combo into a triple slash of To maximize damage when upgrading your weapons, you have different cores, as I'm sure you guys know, but once you get around 250 skill points, you'll eventually unlock the

final

and ultimate core for all weapons. that they have, they can now connect the

final

matter slots. in the iron blade of the last subcore, but that's not the only interesting thing, the final core brings a new passive ability known as reprieve move.
It activates automatically when you're supposed to die, basically keeping you alive at a super important moment when it arrives. to a game on hard mode and can be activated once per battle. Super valuable passive skill for this weapon. The next weapon is the nail bat, which I'm surprised they actually put in this game and you get it as a reward from a group of kids that It's crazy when you think about it, this weapon offers high health, high critical damage and creates excellent mobility. but very slow. When you switch to Punisher mode, you also don't get Combo Materia Slots until you unlock the final core with 250 skill points.
Disruption is a Blunt Attack that puts Cloud into Punisher Mode. This move has pretty good range as it moves Cloud towards his target. In fact, you can combo this move from when your attack is canceled, and due to the blunt nature of this move, you can find yourself. put enemies under pressure much faster with this using this move, while operator mode only hits the opponent once, however if you use this walking cloud like in Punisher mode it can hit the enemy twice, it's not a bad move to consider adding to your rotation every once in a while, especially when enemies are staggered, if you need to pressure an enemy to stagger them very quickly, feel free to use this move, the final core of the nail bat changes the game rules for this weapon, you can finally connect all the materia slots. each other, but not only that this weapon also has the passive ability of pardon.
I still want to recommend this weapon over the others we have because it doesn't benefit your magic in any way and is incredibly slow to use in Punisher mode where most of your damage comes from and now the hard edged sword which is actually my weapon favorite in the game, she has incredibly high attack power and offers excellent materia slots, her magic skills aren't too bad and she comes with one of the coolest but difficult abilities. To perform Infinity Zen moves, this move costs two ATP and has a long startup animation. Most enemies will be able to move quickly, so it is not recommended to use this move this way.
The only time you want to use it is when the enemies are around. staggered and unable to move, not to mention you get an extra damage boost when enemies are staggered. The general setup for this is to make the enemy stagger and then change the T foot to increase the stagger damage bonus percentage. Once you do this, immediately use Infinite Zen on Cloud, the best way to do this is to queue this move using the command menu with l2 or r2 or even have Cloud already going through the animation while you are increasing the percentages typed to maximize downtime.
This damn move just hit nine nine. nine nine and I'm sure I could have done that without going one hundred percent, which is incredibly harder, he has a special ability that is unique, it's called bloodsucker, it allows Cloud to restore some health after finishing with an enemy. The healing is small, but it's actually worth it as it adds to a group of mobs. Combine this with a stepped siphon. You can restore health with the cloud to attack and kill enemies. The Mithril Protector is your prime time magic weapon for your mage. Build in the cloud. The weapon has great defense and even increases your magic defense, you lose a lot of attack but if you are looking for that crazy Black Mage damage for the cloud then this is the weapon you need, the skill attached to this is Blade Burst which is a modified version.
The version of Blade Beam from the original works of Final Fantasy 7 can slice through multiple enemies and deal really good damage. This move hits in a solid cone for AoE damage and hits everything in front of the cloud and behind enemies. The best part about this attack is that it is magic based so enemies for weeks, I am magic and have high physical defense, will be crushed by this the stronger your magic attack is and this move will hit harder. The problem with going for a cloud built mage for hard mode is that you can't use items so restoring MP is a bit difficult, the best option is to stock up on MP and MP absorbing materials in the final subcore for the mithril saber.
There is a skill you can get that reduces the amount of MP cost for attack spells. It is very important to execute this, especially if you want to create a black mage cloud. 20% is pretty good, so you definitely want to save up and try to get this one as soon as possible. Now the last and final weapon for the cloud is the Twin Stinger, this sword has a very interesting design as it is designed for hybrid attack damage and base magic damage. It's a great bill that comes with my favorite move for the cloud and I always abuse it since I got it.
This ability is almost Game Breaker as it allows you to have leverage to stop melee attacks and most ranged attacks, even magic spells. You also get a huge thirty-two bonus to your MP which is insane, this offers by far the most MP compared to all the other cloud weapons, it's very balanced. For both attack and magic base, so you can have a little more survivability with this counterattack stance, it is an amazing move as the cloud will stop the next melee or ranged attack and even certain attacks with spells will counterattack the enemy that shortly after all. that hit explodes and time stopped like in an anime, everyone in front of the cloud is divided by this movement and the explosion is so satisfying.
What I like most about this is that you can cancel any basic attack into a counter stance before the rope even ends. Also, while performing Punisher's basic attacks you can cancel back into counter stances that you normally can't cancel into a parry, you can even cancel a normal association parry into a counter stance immediately like in this clip here, this is perfect for multiple enemies who are trying. to take turns hitting you, the fact that comparing magic attacks and rage attacks blows my mind, this move will help you tremendously in boss fights and on hard mode, this move also generated some pretty good stagger, as does the parry normal, so always use both.
These moves in conjunction with each other, there are many enemies who think they can protect themselves with your hits, but not anymore thanks to the counted positions combined with the Punisher parry, no matter what stance you are in, as a cloud, always make sure you have an ATV . slash and as soon as the enemy or boss moves during that counter stance and keep them under control, if the enemy doesn't hit you, Cloud still steps forward and hits them for some damage, so you still get some That, keep in mind as I said. The counterattack stance entails ranged attacks, this means grenades, bullets and flamethrowers, in addition, this weapon also has a reprieve that can save you from dying once in a while.battle.
I think for a hard mode game if you want to make sure the cloud stays alive this is the ideal weapon. since it offers great stats and you can avoid death once per fight now for my personal bill for the hard edged cloud of course it is my weapon of choice but for defense I choose to go for the Supreme Bracelet almost every time for physical use , but yes I know that we are going to receive many magic spells. I will switch to the room bracelet or the chain bracelet. I prefer to keep Barry because he is my tank and we will talk more about that in the video of him as a prop.
I currently have the Cloud Champion Belt for bonus health and strength increases since he's my fighter, but we'll talk about the other build shortly. My cloud has elemental material combined with lightning. Now this depends on who you are. fight, but this is perfect for robots on some human enemies, while you will want to adjust this often when facing enemies that are weak to fire or ice, upgrade this constantly to give you an advantage in battles, the higher the level of this material that you will discuss. For me, there is more elemental damage to the enemy. The lightning matter is essential because we face many robotic enemies.
First price stuff is essential in the cloud because you start with more ATB and with the levels at the maximum you will start. turn off with a full bar and a quarter of the second bar so you can immediately cast a magical ability or attack from there. Constant blocking decreases the amount of damage you take while blocking and also fills the ATB bar from the damage you take, a great option really. On any character, especially when you switch to another character, the CPU will perfectly block and dodge for your party members and at the same time build you a TV in the process, a TV assist allows you leverage to build a TV for your teammates.
When you use two commands as a consecutive triple bar, it adds about a quarter or half a TV bar to them, this is great for helping out teammates who don't have the first strike equipped. I mainly use this to set up Tifa so she can go crazy and do a lot of damage. This is perfect for my cloud since I'm always using up a TV and casting damage. The next spell I use is fire, so the cloud can be diverse when casting magic, it still has great magic attack damage, so I use it from time to time.
HP is a must for all characters, if you can, this is the easiest way to get them above 999 9 health, especially when you max it out. I haven't made ice matter yet to complete the sacred trifecta of attack spellcasting. To be honest, I always forget that the wind method is in the elements, since I don't use it much and I'm sure many of you don't. In either case and finally we have healing. I mainly use Barret as my healer, but I have this in the cloud to help us out, as this magic cast is pretty good. You can complete and fully heal a person who has been torn apart by enemies.
Benefits your stats depending on which one you have equipped. Leviathan is more suitable for spellcasters and benefits magic and MP, but for cloud you should go for Bahamut to increase damage or if it increases damage and defense when it comes to combat I love using battle shortcuts. I keep the triple slash square so I can easily intersperse between my basic attacks and close the gap between enemies. Focus push is a must for me on shortcuts because as soon as the enemy is pushed, I want to pull this immediately to get this stagger up. I've set it to the triangle because it reminds me of the Stinger in Devil May Cry 3.
Blade bursts for me have great value when facing large crowds of enemies, you'll be able to cut them down. Get this over with and set up much quicker this way and finally the counter is ultimate for shortcuts, it's a parry and having quick access to it can make the difference between taking hits or matching someone and defeating all the enemies in front of you. to you. These are just my preferences. Customize your design depending on how you are. You don't have to have them as the same buttons or even with the same skills as me. This is just what I feel is worth having in my playstyle shortcuts.
When it comes to Limit Break, Ascension is my favorite to use as it deals massive damage and staggers, plus you can unlock this in Colosseum matches at the Wall Market. This cloud bill focuses heavily on melee attacks while using magic to exploit weaknesses and cause pressure. You could also generate a TV for your teammates with more skills you use consecutively thanks to a cloud-like TV assist. I'm constantly doing triple slashes and dancing counterattacks on everything the enemy throws at me once you get them into the stagger position. open the command menu, access infinites and basically destroy your enemy thanks to the extra damage from stagger at the end of the game and in hard mode the counter stance is your bread and butter and you should get used to using it as can change the momentum.
What I like the most is that every enemy in front of you that gets hit explodes from the follow-up attack. I honestly can't wait to replay the game and destroy so many bosses with this, you still have to pay attention to the visual cues of your enemies to make sure you don't stop too soon or forget to stop. I still have to get used to it because I get a little offensive because I know I can cancel it at any time whenever I want and I stop. Paying attention to what the enemy is doing, no matter what build you're playing, always remember to cancel your basic attacks into abilities or magic spells when necessary.
Using all of these tools at your disposal at the right time will ensure that you dominate many fights and don't get overwhelmed, cloud magic in this build is no joke so be sure to land magic attacks while using parries and counterattacks, while some Skills may have longer startup animations, you still get a type of combo with other skills, like when you use disorder or another move and it puts enemies in a pressure state. Now you can queue up, perhaps with a braver one to follow a combo and attack and maximize that damage. There is no sure way that you have to play this game.
That's what I love because it promotes such a diverse style not only for each character but also for the player. I note that it is a type of cloud combat, but an important tip that you guys will have to learn is when casting magic attacks has influence, it is better to use them. That time to switch to another character and spend ATB on abilities keep cycling through characters like this to make sure you do the most damage. The command menu is the best way to do this, as it allows you to queue up to two moves and switch. to another character while that other character is using up the ATV before finishing this.
I want to talk a little about a black mage built for cloud for magic base mithril built Saber is the preferred weapon due to the enormous amount of magic attack it has as armor the chain Mangal is the best to use since it provides spaces for matter and has a balance of 50 physical defense and 50 magic defense. The accessory I recommend is the circlip which doesn't seem to give many stats but if you actually click on it the text at the bottom right states that it increases your maximum MP by 10% and your magic power by 5% , which adds up nicely and is built material-wise, we're still moving the elemental into the weapon. but this time we have to combine it with fire, of course you can choose whatever spell you want.
I only choose fire for this demo also to account for whether you put elemental and bind a material with it into your armor slots every time you get hit with it. item that you will heal for that damage, instead this is super useful, which we'll talk about in an upcoming video. We added an MP to this build because we want to increase the maximum MP pool, allowing us to use more spells, basically dealing more damage. Speaking of damage, we actually have two magic boosts to go up and make the cloud magic attacks super opie once you use the first hit materia, you don't want to go back.
I threw this on almost every bill possible. I cast subversion on this build so I could get some stat bonuses. It's a pretty cool spell because it removes buffs from enemies that apply to themselves. I have the Time Materia maxed out, which is my favorite Materia to use in your game, so be sure to check out the Step Pressure video I just watched. Released if you haven't already for an awesome combo with Time Matter Magnifying Matter is super important in this game, unfortunately there is only one in the entire game and rightly so because it's pretty.
As soon as you find the materia, you need to equip it. and level up to the maximum as soon as possible magnify is basically the entire stuff of the original Final Fantasy 7 when you combine it with spells, cast everything on any of your teammates if you are a healer or attack all enemies if you are casting a spell attacked. If it is level 1, it reduces the power of this move by 60 percent, so when you level up the spells you use what becomes stronger either doing more damage or healing more, but for this demo cloud we will use it for attacks. combined with this enlightenment materia, as far as summoning material is concerned, we have to have Leviathan in the cloud so you can increase his magic damage, magic defense and magic healing on the mithril saber to get skill points, we will need our max MP magic to get bonus. damage on our first cast and magic save to reduce the MP cost of spells that are intended to deal very valuable damage to the cloud, as you will save as much MP as possible while dealing a large amount of damage for maximum possible damage.
You'll want to have Aerith as a party member so you can use arcane protection. This ability creates an area of effect surface where the cloud casts magic attack spells. You can actually cast twice with the second magic attack coming out for free and get this from We Combine Thunder with Surge. We can hit the enemy up to four times with one throw. Let's process that four times with one release. That's crazy, especially if they're weak to the magic attack you're using. This is only an approximate representation. what to expect from a black magician built for the cloud and what they actually come up with.
I'm sure there are many other ways to maximize this or make it more efficient. Comment below if you have any ideas or how you would do it. refine this. I'd love to hear what everyone has to say. I love these discussions we get into from our previous videos. In this build, you'll want to use more blade bursts, as they increase and damage more magic. The attack power that cloud has is imagine hitting an entire crowd of enemies for almost 3000 damage, that's absolutely insane and that concludes this video guys. I'm sorry it took a little while to do this, but I want to make sure I have everything. skills and I also leveled up my subject as high as possible to give you the best content possible since the previous guy was very beginner-friendly.
I wanted to make sure I went as deep into the cloud as possible in this advanced guide, so let me know in the comments below what you guys thought? Do you like this format or should I back off a bit?
