Overall, the number one trick is reflectix. It's very hot here in Florida and we have an air conditioning system, but we want to try to insulate ourselves as much as possible, so this is just a little insulation for the home. You can get it at Lowe's and cut it up. so it fits the window cloth and that way it will keep it nice and dark and reflect the sun. You can also get it on Amazon and I'll leave a link below and it actually does two things: it reflects the sun and it insulates. inside because after all we are in a tent, here is a photo of what the reflectance looks like from the outside, so it doesn't actually look that bad, it's just a silver thing, it also gives you a bit of privacy Number two, get rid of the refrigerator.

Coming in you lose a lot of storage space here and the one that was actually here was just a dorm refrigerator that didn't get any gold so we opted to buy an angled refrigerator this is the 50 depth angle that will keep the Ice for about 10 days and it fits perfectly in that hole. Hack number three adds some 12 volt USB chargers. Make sure you get the 12 volt version. I'll leave a link below, don't get the regular 120 version because when you get the 12 volt version, if you decide you're going to use the boom base, you'll still be able to use them on battery power, but if you buy the 120 version, you won't have any USB if you are not plugged into electricity. so trick number four or actually you can call this just an upgrade: put some kind of reflective cover over the end of your bunk bed.

This is from a company called pop-up gizmos and they are actually made directly for this camper and this is your best option. option, this is the strong wind because now they have these bungee cords that are sewn into that wrap everywhere, if you don't want to use pop-up gadgets or you don't want to spend the money, these were about 160 dollars for the set, uh, you could get some as emergency blankets to put on top, but we found they were a little small for our caravan trick number five, cooking outside. I didn't want there to be any smells or cooking. inside the camper, so we went ahead and got the 17 inch black stone.
We'll leave a link below and Joe just made a table that connects to the pop-up camper and that way we can keep the kitchen outside now. Blackstone can actually get an adapter that allows you to plug it directly into your port for your front tanks and I'll leave a link for that adapter below, so to go with trick or upgrade number five, there's now a table for the outside. What we did here was we bought the bracket that you would normally use to hang outside of the grill. We bought the support on Amazon. I'll leave a link below.
We put half in the camper and the other half in the back. This butcher block added a couple of little folding shelf supports and that allows us to just put this here. The shelf brackets hold it up against the camper and that will support the weight of our black stone so we can cook outside of our number seven. The trick is to take the dishwasher outside, we have this very simple fish cleaning table at Bass Pro Shop, it has a faucet with warning water, we connect it directly to the hose and we have a gray water tank down here that it feeds into and it's just great for washing all the dishes outside so number eight is going to be a combination of a bunch of different things but it all has to do with the water connection so the first thing you want to do is make sure you have a filter of water.
The water coming out of this faucet is super nasty, on top of that make sure you have a pressure regulator to make sure you aren't getting too much pressure in your RV. So we have a divider, one of these actually goes to the caravan and the other one goes to number nine, which we'll show you in a minute and finally, along with that, get one of these little elbows because this way it won't put as much pressure on the water hose and it is also much easier. to use these than to use this to hose off the last part of number eight and I think this one is amazing and we're going to have to give credit to five to finish.
I'll leave a link to his channel up here. And getting this flexible zero gravity hose is very hard to find, but if you can find it, this thing is amazing, when you turn off the water pressure it collapses into nothing, but this is a drinking water hose and it's amazing , so we are pretty. Snob about having good tasting drinking water, so number nine is our portable berkey. Now we have a filter on the water that comes from camp, but I like to go ahead and put it here so I can have really tasty water. ice and of course most importantly very tasty coffee so number 10 and honestly for me this is the best trick we have ever done to our caravan and it consists of two things, firstly getting these leveling blocks, but you will see that we are not using them to level the blocks we are using them for the stabilizer feet so the feet don't sink into the sand we also put one under the tongue jack so the wheels don't sink and don't roll around, but honestly, for number 10, the best purchase you could make for your pop up camper is the val or ball b-a-l.
I'm afraid to say ball because Rachel is going to say something, balls, this is a tire leveler and what it does is you just slide everything around the wheel and then use this ratchet that comes with it and it just lifts your camper and it doesn't. you have to deal with the leveling blocks, like putting them on, turning it off, driving forward, am I level enough? just keep doing this and it goes up or down and we almost forgot about this one so this is bonus number 11 and it's a gutter system for condensation from your air conditioning so normally what happens is the air conditioning that's in there above. from the ceiling, the drip comes out, hits the ceiling and normally it would roll down over the tent section, but then the water starts rolling down there, down the windows, down the corner, so we bought a ten foot tube, we cut it out and then we have five feet here in the back and then we have five feet in the front and it's just resting under the edge of the top and the tent and then it extends about 18 inches two feet this way the water runs out. away from the tent and we only have it on one side and what we do is unlevel the caravan slightly and I mean a little, just enough so that the water rolls to this side and this way we can control where it drips and doesn't go. next to our front door so that's bonus number 11 and I highly recommend that everyone who has a pop up camper do this so there are 10 tricks or upgrades you can do to your pop up camper to make life easier.
