I just like to take my glue gun and run a quick bead of glue around each bracket just to give it a little extra strength. There we go, we will turn it over and do the same with the other stand, now we can place our sign to the side to give this glue time to dry, friends, if you are new to my channel, welcome, we have a lot of fun here, so make sure you hit that subscribe button. You'll see some cross bars going all the way around and then the distance from one cross bar to the next is what we call a section so just a little crown 101 for you let me show you this super cute ribbon I just got this on . It hasn't been long and it's the first time I've used it. I am very excited. I really like

navy

, orange and cream colors for basically any season, but especially for fall, so I have the two and a half inch

navy

and white stripes I have a one and a half inch solid orange, a blue polka dot one and a half inch navy and white, a two and a half inch

pumpkin

and a two and a half inch burlap with gold polka dots, so you should choose for this type of wreath, friends, five different types of ribbon, they must be wired to that hold their shape, and at least three of the types you choose should be two and a half inches wide. wide, they can all be two and a half inches wide if you wish.
I grabbed a one and a half inch pair just because I thought they were complementary, but at least three of your options should be two and a half. inches and what we're going to do friends is have a good time here cutting our tape so we need to cut 18 pieces of each type of tape eight inches long so let me show you a quick way to do it with your tape measure or Your self healing mat simply measures your eight inches, hold it in place with your finger, you don't have to be perfect friends, no one will see it and then once you have it marked we will fold it. over itself accordion style 18 times and that will save us from having to measure each and every piece, so I'm just folding accordion style.
I find it easier to do two batches of nine pieces instead of all 18 at a time, but you can certainly do it however you want and then once you have in my situation here your nine pieces or your 18, you'll just run the scissors through each stitch folded to separate the ribbons and then you're going to turn it over and We're going to do the exact same thing and we're just separating the folds of our ribbon here, folks, and then once you've separated the ribbons, this particular guy is not a good example because both sides are pretty but most ribbons have a pretty side and a not so pretty side this only makes the slightest difference but go ahead and stack your pieces pretty side up let's go and then let's go to trim our ends.
You can choose whether you want to fit or cut at an angle because the ribbon is basically the main component of our wreath. I'm going to go ahead and join it together, and to join your Ribbon friends together, you're going to fold it in half so those ends meet and then you're going to fold it over. In half, backwards. Once you've done that, you're going to take your scissors and on the folded side, not the open side, on the folded side, you're going to go down about three-quarters of an inch and then you're going to cut. diagonally all the way to the corner and then once you open the piece back up, you'll have both ends assembled and it's ready to go, so we'll do that with each piece here if you have a nice pair of sturdy craft pieces. scissors, you can probably do more than one piece at a time, so do as many as your scissors will allow, just make sure not to overload your scissors or your cuts will be uneven.
Alright folks, I have my first nine pieces. this particular ribbon came apart and my ends were trimmed so I need to do it one more time because we need a total of 18 pieces for each of our ribbon stockings so again I'm just going to measure my eight inch mark here I am . I'm going to mark that with my fingers and then I'm going to fold it accordion style nine times and again I'm going to run my scissors through all of these folds here and I'm going to trim them apart and then once I've separated them. Turn all the ribbon pieces so they are pretty side up.
Now we're going to fold and snap our ends together like we did before, so we're going to fold it in half. In one direction, fold it in half, and in the other, lower it three. quarter inch into the fold and cut diagonally to the corner and that gives us our nice dovetails, we're going to add them to our stack here, we're going to trim them real quick, okay, we've got our first ribbon option here. measured, our ends are trimmed and we have everything pretty side up. I'm going to sit down to the side and repeat the same process with the rest of the four different styles of tape that we have here and friends.
Do the same thing, you're going to need 18 pieces of each type of ribbon and then you're going to measure them to eight inches long and then you're going to assemble them and then I'll see you here, okay? You should have done it. all your ribbon cut and fitted and ready to load onto our wreath so we have one more thing to cut and prepare and that is our rope or our twine to tie here this is actually a jute core that again I got from the Dollar Tree and I chose this because I felt it went well with the color scheme.
You can also use some fine floral wire, some Chanel stems or matching pipe cleaners or even zip ties if that's your preference and so what we're going to do at this point, friends. remember we're going to be creating 18 ribbon bundles so we're going to need 18 pieces of our Stringer Cord to secure our ribbon bundles and I'm only going to cut 18 pieces and not even really measure folks I probably don't know eight to ten inches long. long, so go ahead and cut 18 pieces of your Juke cord or a rope of your choice and we'll meet you here.
I already have my jute cut and ready to go so now you can start creating our ribbon bundles and you can do it two ways friends you can make all your ribbon bundles at once and then attach them to your frame or you can create the packages one by one and add them. that's the method I'm going to use and remember earlier we had a little wreath 101 and we talked about our wire frame. Here we are going to create ribbon bundles and add three per section around our wreath. and we're only going to use rings two and three on our wire frame, so you won't be using the outer ring or the inner ring.
Let's do the first three packs together to complete our first section and then we'll move full speed ahead. Friends, each pack of ribbons will use one of each piece of its type of ribbon. Now I'm going to alternate how I stack the ribbons for each pack so there's a little variety, but you'll only use one piece for each. bundle of ribbons, so to make our bundles of ribbons, we're going to take our first piece of ribbon and we're going to squeeze and gather, we're going to take our second piece of ribbon, tighten and gather, we're just pinching eyeballing it in the middle and we're going to place one on top of the other, we will take another piece of tape and we will put it together in the middle, place that at the top we will take another piece of tape, we will pinch and fold it here in the middle, we will add that to the top and our last piece, so essentially we have used one piece of each type of ribbon which we pinched and gathered in the middle like a men's bow tie and placed one on top of the other, then you will take a piece of your thread or twine or whatever you have chosen to use and wrap it around the middle of your ribbon stack and then you'll turn that guy around and just tie your thread.
I'm going to tie a double knot. just to make sure it's not going anywhere and you're going to want to tie it up real tight, then we're going to tie it up one more time just to make sure it's not going anywhere and don't worry if things don't even look folks, we're going to be able to fluff them up a once we're done. That's the beauty of using wired ribbon, so we just made our first bundle of ribbons using one piece of each color. to go into our wire frame and remember that we're just going to use rings two and three, those inner two, and we're going to alternate them back and forth, so in this first section I'm going to start by wrapping them. ring two and I hope the camera is capturing these friends.
I'm actually going to wrap it around the crossbar, which will anchor it, so of course they won't be able to do that every time because the crossbars are spaced out, but when you can tie the rope around that crossbar just to keep it from sliding around and then I'm going to trim the ends of my jute here, I just left a little bump and we just added our The first bundle of ribbons last time I started here and this time I worked my way up. I'm going to change up a little bit how I'm layering these ribbons just to give it a little variety, so we've grabbed ribbon number one, we've folded it in the middle, we're grabbing ribbon number two, we're pinching and pleating in the middle, we're going to place it right on top and tape number three pinching in the middle, adding that guy to the right. on top, ribbon number four, pinching and pleating in the middle, adding it on top and ribbon number five, pinching and pleating in the middle, putting that type right on top, so now we have one of each type of tape, are stacked on top of each other. another one, I'm grabbing a piece of jute and I'm going to wrap this around this guy and give him a couple of tight knots on the back of our ribbon bundle and remember folks, take your time, give yourself a little Grace, this is a wired tape. so we can fluff these ribbon bundles and make them pretty once we're done, I'm going to give it a tight knot and then I'm going to give it a second tight knot, alright folks, we've made our second ribbon bundle, let's wrap a piece of jute or rope around that middle.
I'm going to give it two tight, tight, tight knots, and it doesn't look very pretty right now, okay, let's fluff them up. Guys, once we're done, don't worry about it, we're going to go back to our wire wreath frame and this time we're going to wrap our rope around it. The tails here, our jute tails, around rings two and three. I'm going to give it a couple of tight knots here just to keep that guy in place and again, I don't know.worry if the ribbons don't look super cute, but we're going to fix that and then we're going to cut out the The tails of our jute are fine and now it's time for our last pack of ribbons, so I already have my first piece of ribbon.
I'm pinching and pleating in the middle and then I'll hold it in my hand. I'm going to move on to the next ribbon, pinch and pleat in the middle, add that on top of my stack here and then I'll move on to my third ribbon pinch and pleat in the middle add that guy right on top my fourth ribbon pinch and pleat in the middle and that guy at the top and my last ribbon pinching and pleating in the middle and adding it on top I'm going to grab a piece of jute and wrap it around our bundle of ribbons.
I'm going to tie a couple of tight knots. I'm going to walk over to my wire frame and add the last bundle of ribbon to the section that I'm going to tie that right above rings two and three, we'll give round rings two and three a couple of tight knots and then we'll take our scissors and we're going to trim out our tables here, so we just added our first three ribbons. group friends, so we need to move on to the next section, we have added three to this section and remember that every time we start a new section we are going to pin that first packet to the crossbar, so continue making your Ribbon packets by adding three. per section always anchoring the first one to the crossbar and see you here again okay we finally loaded all of our ribbon bundles onto our wreath frame so now this beauty is about 18 to 19 inches in diameter and probably about four inches deep, so now what I'm going to do, folks, is just take a couple of minutes to work on my wreath and just rotate it as I go and make sure that all of my ribbon tails here are going in the right place. direction that nothing got under it or folded over and it's just going to fluff these tails up, so take a couple of minutes here and make sure that all the tails of your ribbons are pointing in the direction that you would like them to be and I'll see you back here again.
It looks so cute friends, we only have one more step here and that is to add our welcome sign, those mounting brackets and glue are now nice and dry and secure and we are going to anchor them with two stems of floral wire. These are heavy duty floral wires and are 18 inches long, they are great for heavier additions at the base of a wreath, so I will simply fold this type in half just to identify the center point of the V that I am going to run. that right through the bracket and then at that center point just give it a couple of loose turns so the wire doesn't come out and then we'll do the same thing on the opposite end.
Alright folks, we've got those cables added. So now you can add your time wherever you want. In fact, I'm going to add mine to the bottom of the center and you can do it one side at a time, guys, so I'm just going to separate my ribbons. I'm going to take my floral wire stems here and wrap them around the two inner rings of the base of our wreath. Give yourself some grays with these friends. It's a little bit complicated. I'm going to keep that sign in place. Turn that guy around. I'm going to make sure those wires are wrapped around rings two and three of our wreath so it doesn't slide around.
I'm going to give the four wires a couple of loose turns just to hold that guy in place and make I'm sure it didn't slide, it actually did, so we're going to put it back in place and now we're going to do the same thing. on the other side. I'm just pulling apart my tape, sticking my cable straight through and once I think I've done it. It's centered, I'm just going to give it a couple of turns just enough to hold it. I'll turn it over and make sure it's in the center. So now we're going to come back over here and finish spinning this guy. down, I'm actually also going to run this cable around a cross bar that will prevent the cable from moving back and forth.
This is a really light cue, so I'm just going to give it a couple of two or three turns here. I want it at about eighty percent tension tight enough that it's not slack, but you don't want it to be so tight that those mounting brackets come off and then once I've trimmed that excess wire, I'm just going to Snuggle that guy down so he doesn't bother me and my client once again and a double check still looks good. This sign is so light that I'll only worry about keeping it anchored on a crossbar that will prevent me from sliding like that again, I'm simply twisting those wires three or four times with about eighty percent tension, cutting off that excess wire, and then pinching those ends with my needle nose pliers and curling them down and down so they don't push on our door and now friends, I'm just going to take a little pea sized dot of glue and put a little dollop of glue right where the wire floral is attached to the wire of our wreath frame to give it good strength. wait and we'll give it a couple of minutes to dry and then I'll see you here if that glue dries guys you can turn that guy over it looks super cute and now we've flattened our tape a little bit.
As we add our sign so you can fluff your Tails again, alright folks, we're done, this wreath turned out really cute and now that I'm looking at it I feel like this wreath would be the perfect gift for someone who actually had a Um, screen door from heavy duty and didn't really have much depth between your front door and your screen door, this would be the perfect piece for that type of door because it is very thin and lightweight, thanks for spending time with me today friends.
