I personally like to put makeup on my face. I do my makeup first just because I know how to get under my eyes so the shadows don't fall out and ruin my face makeup, but if you prefer to do your eye makeup first, go for it. Today I will put makeup on my face first. and show you how you can protect your face from the consequences if you succeed, so today I'm going to start with my face for my base. I'm going to use Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primer to perfect it. Personally, I like this one just because it's so universal, there's not much to it.

I feel like it can work for a lot of different skin types, applying it here in the center of the face and everywhere else, it doesn't really matter, just apply it to your face, so day by day. I don't really wear foundation, I just like a tinted SPF and then I hide the blemishes. I'm considering doing it for my wedding day recently. I tried this foundation and both times I used it my skin looks amazing with it, so I'm going to use it for this video, it's the Make Up For Ever reset foundation. I have the tone Y 3-6-5.

It's like a healthy looking foundation. It looks like your skin, but a little more radiant, but not too much. dewy if you're an oily skin person don't be afraid of this foundation when I say radiant and it's beautiful and has good medium coverage so I put a little bit on the back of my hand, a pump. I like to work a bomb. at a time and then I'll take my favorite brush, you can use a brush, you can use a sponge, you can use your fingers, whatever you prefer, my favorite brush to apply foundation is the number seven brush from it cosmetics, I use this side and just work it into the product and then dot my skin and make patting motions.
I start on my cheeks. Make sure your jaw lines up with your ear and goes down your neck, especially if you are going to have your hair up. Make sure you have someone who can tell you if there's a line back here where you can see your foundation stop and your skin start to really work. The skin of the product I'm doing like push and drag motions also doesn't try a new foundation on your wedding day or even the week before. I would try it a month or two in advance. I make sure you like the foundation you use.
I get a lot of questions about how to put foundation on my nose. I don't like putting on a I have a lot of makeup on my nose just because I feel like it doesn't sit very well, or it's too dry, mainly it's too dry just from adding too much product. My nose gets greasy, which is weird, but if I put too much on there it separates weirdly, so when I'm blending my foundation, I just make sure there's not too much left on my brush and then I go over it lightly, like this It seems that I don't put the mustache area on. like a blob of foundation on there or something, I just brush it over the area once the foundation brush has practically nothing on it and with my forehead I also don't put much product on my forehead for concealer I'm going to use the Flawless Blending Concealer from Laura Mercier.
I'm on shade 2w. I'm going to take this right here with anything and makeup always starts with less than you think and then builds up to it because I don't want to feel too cakey and thick so the easiest way to avoid that is to do less and you can always add further. I'm going to use the Sigma fo3 cheekbone highlighting brush. I like this for my concealer and then just Working in a triangular motion, this whole area here is where I'm going to apply the concealer that I used to contour and highlight my face very intensely and I would take my concealer and draw all those shapes on my face, but that will really make your skin or makeup harden very quickly, especially if you are getting married in a hot climate that is prone to melting off your face, so what I like to do is use as a cream highlighting product that is specifically for that because It will have a thinner consistency if I take this concealer, which is meant to hide darker areas and apply it to other areas just to get that color.
It's just a thick formula that you apply all over your face, you know what I mean. I have another product that I'll show you in a moment that can do the same thing for that and it won't be like a very thick, cakey formula. If you have any blemishes on your skin, make sure that the concealer you use on your skin matches perfectly. If you feel that it doesn't, even before using the concealer on those areas, try using a little more foundation and concentrate on the area that needs more coverage instead of wearing. with a different shade of concealer because it is very difficult to combine them perfectly.
I like my under-eye concealer to be two shades lighter than the rest of my skin. I feel like today is a little bit lighter just because this foundation is actually a little too dark for me, so I'm going to apply a bronze cream contour on my face. The difference between tanning and contouring has a little to do with the colors and the location that you are going to tan your skin, think about if I went out in the sun and got a little tan, so for me if I went out in the sun I would hit my head. nose, forehead, cheeks would give me a completely tanned neck, if you want to contour think about Shadows think like when the sun comes up the tree creates a shadow so it will be a cooler tone rather than kind of warm, tan shade, so contouring creates shadows on the face, so you would. under the cheekbones to make them stand out, you do the sides of the nose to make it look more chiseled if you want, you can do under here to make it look more chiseled, the sides of the forehead if you want it to look more inward or You know.
It depends, so you can tan and contour together. I'm going to use the Stix Bondi Bay nude cream stick for a sort of mix of tanning and contouring. It is not necessary to use a cream product. I know some people like powders. more than creams, so if you don't want to apply a cream, you don't need to. I've personally discovered this because I used to be a strictly powder person. I have found that creams end up looking much better for longer. and in the end the result just looks more natural, so I have a second brush for this.
This is the same brush I used on my foundation. I only have a second one specifically for contouring and bronzing. It is cosmetic number seven. Pick it up with the bar. I don't like to put it directly on my face and color it in just because it's hard to blend once it's there, so this is going to make it a lot easier to blend, so I'm going to take this and just start stippling on my cheek. I'm going to go to the bronze area and the contour area because I feel like I can use this one for both, move it up to the temples because I like this area to be further in if you want this. to give more angles to your face and make this area look a little wider, then keep the glow of your foundation, but if you don't like that, you can use bronzer and concealer or bronzer and contour.
It's also good to get this. on your hairline if you're platinum blonde and your hair is fresh, let's face it, all of us belong to the platinum, we don't have fresh air right now, but when it's fresh it's very difficult because you end up in your hair, okay? Put this on your jawline, bring this up a little bit so it doesn't have a straight line. The other thing too. I feel like if anyone is going to notice, you're going to be the one to tear someone down first. someone general girlfriend is rude maybe you want a hard jaw line with the line you know okay I'm going to put this on the sides of my nose everyone contours their nose in a different way don't feel like you have to contour your nose if you're like what people contour their nose is a personal thing personal preference i do it just a little bit everyone's nose is different so it's going to be contoured a little bit different so i'm going to go okay yeah okay, Yeah.
Yes, I'm going to use my finger to blend it just because my fingers are really hot right now so it may melt the product into my skin. My hands were cold, it wouldn't work as well, so now I'm going to apply cream. highlight my face again you can choose between cream and powder or I will do both for everything so pick and choose or you can do both if you want on my wedding day I will probably use creams and just a touch of contour on powder I'm going to use the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter I'm on shade number two, you need the smallest amount because it's such a fine formula it goes all over with just one brush stroke, so I'm going to apply it to the high points of my face , so that's the top of my cheekbone, the center of my nose, the top of my Cupid's bow and if you have drier skin, you can do this to groom your chin and forehead.
I don't do it just because I get greasy. so I will refrain from doing that because it will just give it a greasy look later on. I'm going to use a Smith 103 brush to blend this and if there's that much you can apply it with your foundation brush and stipple. It's to diffuse it, bring it up here and then connect it to my forehead like a little V or a C. I actually use three different powders on my face. I don't even feel like you have to do that. I'm just particularly picky. I'll share them with you guys, if you watch my videos, you already know what they are.
I'll make them only because this is what I would do on my wedding day. They don't need five million powders to set their face. For the under eye area I like the H 104 powder from Make Up For Ever. Is this. I add a little bit of this yellowish tone. I like to use Sigma's f-35 brush. Look up or under your chin and look. Lift up and just put the under eye part on, but it's going to set it up so that the concealer doesn't crease and that way also when you apply your eye shadow you'll have powder in there so if something falls off you can just wipe it off for the areas. where I get very oily I like to use Laura Mercier translucent setting powder.
I like it for areas where I get really oily because even though it's a loose powder, it's a thicker formula and is very mattifying. I like this on the sides of my nose, in the center of my forehead, eyebrows and chin because I turn into a ball of fat in those areas, I stir it up here on the cap and I just put it on the sides of my nose and I like this area here. It's like the pores are there, concentrate it between my eyebrows slightly in the center of the forehead and chin. I like to set the rest of the face just so it doesn't have a creamy feel to the touch.
I like to seal it. with a light powder and even though I get oily I like to feel hydrated, the reason I don't use this all over my face is because I feel like it and then it mattifies all the areas that I like to have shine and IMO it changes the shape how the foundation shows up on your face, so I like to use Terry's Hyaluronic Tinted Hydra Powder. I'm at shade 200 natural. I'm just going to go over the fluffy brush. the one that's actually designed for this powder is Terry's, she mixes it up and then lightly applies it to the rest of my face and then for the powder contour, this is something I probably do just because I like a more dramatic contour.
I'm going to use those Make Up For Ever powders again and move on to season 11 6. This is a great shade color. I used to go crazy with this, but you don't want it to look like you have mud on your face. It is a very cool tone so it can be seen that way. My favorite brush for this is the Smith 112, it is a tulip-shaped brush. I'm going to take this one right where I want a little bit of shadow, so right in this area and I'm not going to take it too crazy if you can, if you want a more dramatic outline, you can bring it closer here, but if you do, it's going to look a little more masculine. .
I personally like that, it's up to you if you want it to be. It's more natural, hold it here close to your ear and you're going to angle the corner of your lip so that the top of your ear is the angle that you want to stay with or you can see where your cheekbones are and just again hold it. way back and just move it, you can swing it back and forth or make whatever you want oval circles like a very flat oval shape and then I like to move them up so you don't have a line.
I'm going to take a little bit on the sides of my forehead and I'm going to takea little bit of that and make a little line, so if you want to do a powder highlighter, I'll show you what I would do when I use the cream highlighter. I won't do it with the powder highlighter just because I love it. At the end of this, I love how that balances the skin, but if you want to use a powder, my other favorite is also from Charlotte Tilbury. I feel like Charlotte Tilbury has so many great products that look naturally beautiful.
The skin, both the bronzer and the highlighter here are beautiful, but the highlighter specifically looks really natural on the skin and I think they have two colors and I like to apply powder highlighter before I apply the blush just because I feel like it. it will highlight throughout the blush instead of applying blush and then highlighter. Sometimes it can be difficult to blend. You have like a streak of highlighter. I'm going to use a Sigma f-35 brush to apply this and just to get it to the tip, you can apply it right where we did the cream again.
If you applied the cream, you don't have to apply the powder and honestly, I probably wouldn't because I love that cream so much. To me it's a little more dramatic than the cream I used I guess it's a liquid, no it's never not a cream it's a liquid but whatever yeah it's a little more dramatic than that but it's also not as dramatic as much others. the highlighters that are available right now, so for me blush is very important. I feel like when I put on the right blush I feel like it can really complement the eyes, really complement the look as a whole and really like that for my face.
I really like to do a bronze or blush type blush or a peachy tone, so I think what I'm going to do is use the Mac Peaches blush right here. I have it here as a little palette, so I go right between the highlighter and the contour are like where I put the bronzer, keep it pretty far back on the brush and just sweep, starting here moving it back. I don't like to put too much here on the apples just because it's a very rounded effect. If you like it, go for it, a lot of people really love that apple and cheek look.
Not for me, because I feel like it makes my cheeks look bigger and I like to look more angular, so I'll start here. to small circles that push it back, almost dragging it towards the hairline. I'm not going to put a lot of product here, I'm just throwing it in there, yeah, if you ever feel like you're going too crazy with the blush, you can go over it. Use it with a little bit of whatever is left on your powder brushes, but also if you feel like you've gone crazy, don't worry, that's the first thing that fades on your face, so don't worry when you're done.
The rest of your makeup will probably fade. Whatever's left on my brush. I like to apply a little bit of this everywhere on my face, so I go a little bit up here, on the head of the ground, so that everything shows. tied a little bit on the nose, chin a little bit on the chest, I think it ties everything together, balances the shadows and looks very, yeah, so before I do the eyes, I want to set up my face, it has the morphe. Continue setting up the mist. One of the things I like about this too is that the mist is like a spray, so spray it like Shh instead of like and make sure when you spray it you're not too close, but you want to be quite far away. and just let it lightly mist your face so I'll let it sit and dry and then we can move on to the eyebrows so this is all very personal.
I won't focus too much on this because it's kind of like the contour of the nose, we all have different eyebrows, different noses. I'm going to show you how I do it and the products that I use and like, so I like my eyebrow pencil precisely because I use shade number three push. I lift the hairs up and then I just fill it in the sparse areas and create the general shape that I like again with everything I hold back on the brush. I also find it's easier to groom your eyebrows when you're looking down. in your mirror instead of directly just for me personally, I feel like I can see the eyebrow hairs better in the shape of the eyebrows that way, having a hand mirror and then also a mirror that is straight, bigger and a little further away helps because then you can get really close to what you're doing but you also want to check and make sure it looks good from afar so always check it and mix it with the reel again, without too much pressure if you put too much pressure it can take the product now I am going to place them with the benefit give me eyebrows.
I like this because it makes them look like eyebrow hairs and then they look a little fluffier from shade number three and this is also for eye shadow you definitely want to prime them so you can do this in different ways you can use a real eye primer which is like it comes as a tube like this, you can use it, just make sure you use a little bit and rub it in. and set it with powder. I like to use those makeup powders forever to set them just because if you use a foundation and it doesn't set it, then the eyeshadow you put on is a powder that will gravitate towards the first one. place you put it on because it's like a wet, sticky foundation and then it's going to be very pigmented on that spot and when you try to blend it out it's like you won't be able to and you'll be Okay with the point, what's the point of this foundation?
So make sure you apply it very lightly. You don't want to use an eyeshadow to set it all over because then the other colors you apply won't be as pigmented. so you can use a real foundation, you can use your concealer if you want. For me, concealer will wrinkle my eyes. What I like the most is Mac's painterly paint pot. It's a long-lasting professional paint pot, it's like a cream. The foundation isn't actually technically a foundation, but a lot of people use it as a foundation and it works really well from a painting standpoint, it's the one I like because it matches my skin tone the best.
Oh, the soft ocher is a little bit more yellow, so if you don't have that much pink on your skin, you could go for that, they also have some deeper tones, so I just go right in with my finger and start pushing it in. I'm doing push and drag motions, hanging from the lid, fold up. the brow bone doesn't touch your brow tilting my head so I can get into that inner area and put it in place. This is when I also go in with the powder and re-emphasize the bottom of the eye and make sure everything is nice. and powder and ready in case you have any consequences, so for the eyeshadow I will use the Tarte maneater palette.
I think this is a really great Riedel makeup palette. This look today will be very neutral, neither too warm nor too cold. I want a warm toned look or a cool toned look, bronze look, whatever, let me know. I can make this a series and everything with you. I think the brushes you use are more important than the eyeshadow you use. I think you can use. One of the not so best eyeshadows was on my eyes and you could make it work if you have a really good brush, so here I have some brushes that I'm going to use.
You don't have to use a million brushes. I could easily do this with two, but I'll go through all the links you can do to get a certain look. If you want something that's quick and easy, let me know I can do that too, okay? I'm going to go into pur, which is the center color and I'm going to use a Smith 232, this is my biggest fluffiest brush and I'm going to take this on the tip to remove the excess and when I apply it, I'm going to take my mirror and bring it down or I will lift my chin.
I'll hold the brush way back again. You don't want to apply too much pressure. Too much product. You want to do light layers and build them up if necessary, so I. I'm going to look down like that, you can see your eyelid, you can see even at this angle that the camera is on that, when I look straight, my eye opens wider, so it will bend and I won't see as much. If you have hooded eyes, this is different, you want to make those hooded eyes when you open them, like you can't see the eyelid anymore.
This is just for more non-hooded eyes. There are many questions about how to make hooded eye

tutorial

s. It's very It's hard for me to do that because my eyes are not fully closed, so for me to share the tips and tricks it would be impossible for me to show you, but keep that in mind, so hold the brush and look down. mirror so this whole area opens up, start at the outer corner because wherever you put the brush first is where the most pigment will be, you can do circles or you can do wiper motions. I do kind of a blend and just like I'm working towards the nose or like the inner corner of my eye, I'm doing circles towards that area, you know what I mean and then when I get to the inner corner, I'm going to work in the direction opposite towards the outside of the eye I'm going to make circles that go in that direction, so when I move back in this direction, I'm going to make circles that go in that direction, so if I were moving towards the inner corner of the my eye, it wouldn't be making circles backwards. because it's going to be very complicated to move that way just remember in the direction that you're moving move your circles in that direction also towards the inside corner towards the outside corner you can also very lightly do the windshield wiper and then like take that same color, place your mirror now above you and look up at it or lower your chin, keep it way back and bring this slightly underneath, really get it in your eye and as you look up, it will make you not do it.
It doesn't irritate your eyes as much and right now I'm like moving it, don't be afraid to put this necklace in there and connect it to the eyelid color. Now I'm just going to build up the color, so just taking that same pur shade and pushing it in like this, you can see how I got closer here because I want more color, look how it's a lot more pigmented than when we put it in lightly and held it further back. adding more color you can push push drag and say you have like see I can see I have a harder line right there once you've got a lot of the product off your brush you can go over it lightly and try to blend it out but no Don't do it when you already have that color on your brush because then it'll just add more color higher up and then before you know it you'll have eyeshadow all the way up to your eyebrows so just make sure the brush is pretty clean and then you can go in and just blend that line now very random, you're probably like what I'm going to take, my blush that I use on my peachy cheeks and I'm just going to halo it very lightly in the crease and it's going to peek out along the shadows that we're about to add so hold it way back and move this slightly into the crease to bring it all together and it doesn't have to be this peachy color it could be like any blush you've ever used just highlight that in the crease this is the Smith 2:32 that I used and now I'm going to use our rougher brush number thirteen, it's a lot smaller and it's a little bit smaller.
I'm guessing it's about the same density, so you can see that they move the same way, but this is much smaller and more precise. I'm going to get into the spiciness, which is this very warm caramel brown II shade. I'm just going to push this. on that outer lid right here, just pushing it in to distribute the color, but no, don't put too much product right there in the crease because it's going to be hard to blend it out, put it mostly down on the lash line and then move it up once you a lot of the product has been removed, you can move it towards the inner part as if the outer edges put it on the tip, look up and very lightly get the lower lash line, very slightly, that might be a bit much actually .
I can always go in with a clean brush and try to spread it out and now I'm going to use an even more precise brush, I'm going to use a number three wrap brush, it's very pointy, you can see the difference between the one I had. just using this one is more flexible and this one will be denser just to touch the midnight shade here and line this up right on the upper lash line on the outer corner gesture right here and bring it on top because this is going to help hide the lashes that we put on and it will give you a nice soft eyeliner look.
Also if you don't like applying eyeliner or if you find it difficult, if you like it, can't get a straight line or it looks intimidating, this is a great option. The way you can do it is so easy, you just put it on there and then you can even smudge it with your finger because having that soft, fuzzy liner is so pretty, it's so romantic that I'm actually going to mix a little bit of sass into this one. color and I start moving it up in the appearance and I'm moving it right here on the outside, not over here, look how this is very blank, I'm just moving out here with with my finger I'm going to go into passion, which It's like a creamy matte color.
I'm going to touch this right here on the inner part of the eyelid to highlight it and then go away and remove the first brush. and it just diffuses that, so I'm not a big fan of glitter or shimmer on me first. I mean, I do it from time to time, but I still go back and forth between each other, if I left my appearance like that and just left the cover matteor add glitter so I think what I'm going to do today is just with my finger go into slick and apply this very lightly on the lid and just tap it right here if you want this to be more pigmented you can swipe it on. or you can take a brush and spray it with a little setting spray or as a fix plus for Mac to make it more pigmented.
I'm going to add palette lace, this is just a sigma ll floor brush and just place it here. the inner corner really brightens the eyes. If it shines too much, you can mix it with the passion shade to make it a little less bright and a little more natural. You can also use the highlighters that you used on your face and highlight. with that instead, I'm going to use the passion shade to highlight my forehead and mix in a little bit of lace, not a lot, so I don't want this crazy shine up here. I just want it very, very soft.
I feel like it's a good idea. Give yourself a lot of time to do your makeup, however, I find that when I spend too much time doing my makeup, it ends up doing more harm than good because I end up modifying so many things that would have been totally fine and then I start getting greasier and then it's like I'm adding more powder. than I should, yeah, I don't know, I feel like even now I'm taking too long to explain things so I'm finding things that I need to fix and I'm like, "Oh my God, this wouldn't happen if I just put on makeup so yeah, to "You can do whatever you want to the waterline of your eyes, you can fill it in with a dark color if that's what you want." normally, you could do a bright color, which is what I normally do, you could leave it as is, it looks great like this.
In fact, I'm going to use Rimmel eyeliner and you shock just to open them up. I only know. that if you put something like a nude there, it will open the eye and brighten it, if you make it white it will make it look wide open, like a peg, and then if you make it a darker color it will close. the eye and make it much more smoky, I'm going to put this on my waterline so it goes back to lashes. Personal preference, you don't have to use false eyelashes, you can just use mascara or you can do a full eyelash, you can do it individually, it's totally up to you, so today I'm going to use the Tarte mani or mascara.
I've really liked this and I just give myself a good coat of mascara and then for the false lashes I'm going to use some individual ones. I feel like for a bridal look, people will look more natural. I didn't have any here because I don't normally wear individuals so I don't order them on Amazon so I've never tried them before, these are the half kiss I envy the lashes, they look like this if you're looking for good lashes. I think the Ardell Whispies and Demi Whispies are amazing classic lashes and then for me at my wedding I'm going to do individuals like this or I'm going to use the velvet Serendipity lashes because they're like a beautiful classic bridal look, there's not much to it, but the nice thing with personas is that you can really customize them to how you prefer your lashes to look.
You can make a very subtle eyelash. you can make them really bold it's totally up to you so the glue I love is the dark tone duo glue it dries like a dark black yeah I'm just going to put a small portion of this on my tray leave it like that. it coagulates a little bit and gets thicker and then I just dip each individual lash in there with my tweezers, let it get a little tacky on the lash and then pop it out. The downside to doing individual lashes is that it's tedious on the foot and time consuming, well it took me 20 years to get to the lips.
I want to make sure I have a pencil sharpener because any lipstick you want to use you want to make sure it's very sharp so you can get a precise line. I'm going to use Kate aw beauty's new lipstick 2.5. This is one of my favorite nude lipsticks. I'll start by outlining the lips and outlining just a little play on the line. The bow of Rhine Cupid's eye. about the line now here just that area the rest is right in the direct line of my lips use the whole pencil by the way place it flat against the lip and it will be much easier to get a straight line so don't go ahead with the tip coming out at an angle , it will also cover more surface area and do the work for you, then I will fill it in completely, lay it on its side this lunch, sure your lip will last forever, I swear.
Once you put the lipstick on, it will kind of stay in place by having the lipstick completely filled on your lips, it feels a little dry, but it won't get all powdery and crunchy like a liquid lipstick, well , you will feel very comfortable in it. Lips last forever when eating, drinking, talking and when it disappears, you won't have a lip line, it will just disappear naturally and look beautiful even when it disappears. Also, if you use a lip balm at any time, make sure you wipe it off completely before applying the product because it will make it not last as long, it will be like it's soft so this will sit on top and it will bleed, it will make the product bleed, so make sure you have lip balm or lip gloss or whatever that's completely wiped off before you start anything else and then I'll start with k'kaw beauty.
What's new in this is a deeper lipstick that's going to deepen the lip in certain areas and make it look a little powdery, and then for my favorite lipstick of all time, I'm going to use the lipstick for the first time of Tom Ford again, just use what works for you, what's your favorite lipstick. It doesn't have to be any of these lip products, any of the makeup I used today, just use your favorites. I was just using my favorites because that's what I'm going to use and then I'm not going to use much. For a girly gloss, I prefer a more comfortable matte cream lipstick, but I think a gloss is a little more timeless or even just like a brighter lipstick, so you can leave it as is.
In fact, I'm going to add a shine. I never thought I'd say that, but I think it really brings it together and makes it look really timeless, so I'm going to use Laura Mercier babydoll lip gloss and just apply a little bit, not too much. You know how I'm super shiny, one last trick, do it like this, you'll remove the inner edge of your lips so you're not left with teeth full of junk all day, but this is the final look, I don't know. What these lashes look like I feel like I probably could have smoked the lash line a little more so I could hide them but this is the final look so you can see it up close, how do you think I feel?
