The first ones you see here are a couple. different variations, but these are big blending brushes, they will be your base brush to blend everything, put color all over the lid, next is a tapered blending brush, again, you guys are wondering why they look so similar. kind of similar, but these will be a little bit smaller, they'll still give you a little bit of blend, but they'll also be a little bit more precise and if you're trying to figure it out, I don't really see there's much of a difference. I'm going to do a closer version, the one on the far right is the larger blending brush and the one on the smaller one is the more tapered blending brush and as you can see when you move to the side...

On the other hand, the large blend is a little fluffier and will apply the color on a larger scale compared to the tapered blending brush which will give you a little bit pointier and more precise color in the crease area, so you'll want to focus on that big blend. brush more for full placement and then the smaller tapered brush for more precise placement and the last brush I would recommend would be a flat shading brush, which is why many brands make so many different variations. These are a few that I have in my collection, but a flat shading brush will basically put the color on the cap and that's a brush that I find very easy to find anywhere, so when it comes down to that, I really think that now you could get away with these three brushes.

I'm sure some of you like it but there are so many different ones, if you were just starting out with eyeshadows or just applying makeup and are a beginner, start with these three and you can really get away with it. with eyeshadow application and then slowly build your collection from there, so when we look at eyeshadow palettes, the one I'm going to use today is the NARS Skin Deep Eyeshadow Palette , any palette you have will work perfectly fine, although this is the I chose one because I like that it has a lot of matte shades and has those larger container sizes.

Now when you look at your eyeshadow palette, there are a couple of things that I like to recommend that you look for number one on your brows. bone shade net will be a very light cream shade or even something with a bit of a satin finish. This shade will only enhance the most highlighted areas like the brow bone or inner corner. It's always nice to have something like this. because I think it helps open up the eyes, even if you put it right on the lid, the next shade you're going to look for is something we call a transition shade, which is going to be something very similar.
Depending on your skin tone or, most likely, the next color or the next step up from your brow bone shade, you want something that's light enough to cover your entire eyelid but still has a little bit of color to match. so you can see there's a little bit of color. shade difference in this particular palette. I might recommend that there could be two, but again, there's never a wrong answer guys, just remember that this color that you're going to use is going to fade all over your lid. to be the base color that will help transition everything into the next two colors, then we move on to the crease color.
Now the color of the crease depends a lot on what you would like to use in your crease. There are a couple of different variations. Here you can definitely choose just by looking at it. I would say the middle two could be something you could use in the crease and still have the darker chocolate brown you have down there, so keep that in mind when you look. in an eyeshadow palette it's good to have a brow bone shade, a transition shade and an Acree shade, so let's take for example, if we were looking at Nastasia's soft glam bio palette for example, I would take tempera as the shade for the brow bone or even the inner corner if you wanted to highlight and then as the overall shade I would like something like orange soda.
I find something like this shade, you know, it's still light enough and it's going to be a really good transition shade, even burnt orange and then the rest of the In my opinion, the matte shades could definitely be crease shades, so you'll want to increase the order. This palette is pretty big, but if you're working with something with this similarity in size, I think you'll have a lot more options to play with so I wanted to give you a variation there and then I wanted to move on to the nude honey palette because I've been playing around with it a lot. that palette and I thought maybe you guys would want to see another variation for this palette.
I would say flyby would be a really great color for the brow bone and beyond, so you have a couple of transition shades. I would definitely recommend sweet swarm and even keeper and then I would probably say in the crease area you could shed drip and hive sting. I really enjoyed this palette because I think it's a great beginner palette, so now that we're done talking about palettes, we'll move on to the actual application using the NARS palette. I'm going to go ahead and use it to set my eyelid. I'm going to take that cream shadow and I'm just studying the concealer because I have concealer to even out the skin on my eyes if you don't have a cream shadow to work with in your palette. just use a little bit of loose powder because you want your eyes to set like a beginner.
I definitely recommend this now. I'm just showing you the movement that I'm going to use, which is in small circular movements around the eyes and what I'm going to do is start with that light brown tone that we call the transition tone. It was our first shadow, your lightest shadow and I'm just going to buff it around the eyes since this color is much lighter. You can definitely be a little less precise in where you place this because this is our first shadow and this will help blend out those darker shadows, so I recommend taking this and buffing it out as you can see little circular movements as you continue. in a circular motion so that they are small circles in a large circle and as you can see if you have a little bit of a hood on your eye or if you have some kind of flap on your eye, I like to do this because I find that this This method allows me to get a clean slate so I like to tilt my head and then I use a compact mirror and as you can see I look down at an angle so my eye is flat and I find that really helps me. get the good match that I'm looking for, another method that I use quite often is to just raise the eyebrow a little bit, if you can see right on the inside corner, I tend to get a little bit of no, there's not a flap, but it's a little difficult for my brush to get in there without smearing, so I'm going to take my finger and lift it slightly over and over again, that helps me get a good blend on my eyelid.
Now I'm going to continue. go ahead and blend everything out making sure everything looks the way I want so we can move on to the next step. Now you are going to choose the crease shade and this is the shade that will deepen everything in the outer corner. Make sure you apply it to the back of the eyeshadow palette so you don't have excess product and what I like to do is in case there are any mistakes or I don't know how pigmented a palette is, I'll start and apply. I'll place it right on the outer corner, against my lash line, so I don't have to worry about smudging.
Then I'll start with small circular motions keeping the brush on the outer corner of the eye and start applying that color and blending it out when I do this. I like to slowly open my eye slightly so I can see exactly how high this color will go above my crease. I want it to reach above my crease, but. not as high as the first color, so what I'm going to do is just take it and slowly build up the color. This may take a little time depending on how pigmented your shadow is, but my recommendation again is to do the same movements as you would with the first shade, but this time you don't want to take it as high and you want to keep your eyes open just a little bit. to finish everything on your eyelid once you've decided you enjoy what you see. go ahead and take your flat, not your flat, your big fluffy brush and just make sure everything is cohesive and blended so now we're going to finish up with the lid shadow, we're going to take any highlighted shadow that you want and you're going to start layering that on the lid, you want to try to blend it in the outer corner because you want those two shadows to blend well, so you're going to have to take your shading brush flat and still hold that smaller brush. that you were working with previously and keep going back and forth with these two brushes to blend that outer corner, so again, just tap your brush when you come back with that darker shadow, apply it to the outer corner, try to be gentle.
You know, blend it into the edges and then reapply a shader until you get that nice cohesive blend and then to finish it off, I'm literally going to take the same shading brush and run it over my lower lash line and stuff. That's really all there is to it, you guys apply a little mascara and then some fakes if you're willing and dare, and if not, I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, let me know below what you'd like to see and thank you so much. Lots to see and I'll see you in my next video, bye.
