How to Draw Toothless | How to Train Your Dragon

Hello everyone and welcome to the club, today I will show you how to

draw

a

toothless

chibi from How to Train Your Dragon. Let's start in the middle of our page on the left side with the eye, so I'll start with the eyelid starting from the top and it will curve down and inward. I'm going to leave a space in the middle and do the same thing on the right side starting from the bottom up and just pop it out now. I'm going to

draw

on the bottom of the eye, so from the left side we're going to take a step to the right and just round the edge of the eye and pull it towards the inner point that we're going to make. same thing on the right side coming in from the left curving I want to get to this point, so I'm going to go back to this point and just merge it into a smooth curve, now we're going to push the pupils. on the inside, so starting on the left at the top, I'm going to make a curve and just pull this down.

We will do the same on the right side starting from the top, curving it outwards. Pull it down. let's add a couple highlights to the eyes, so on the left side here, right against the pupil, I'm going to draw a circle, now in the bottom corner here we're going to draw a smaller circle and do the same thing. On the right side, starting from the top, draw that big circle first and the bottom will draw a smaller circle. Let's go ahead and color the outer pupil area in foreign black, right between the eyes. I'm going to draw a little curve. from left to right for the bridge of the nose and then just below here we are going to draw two curves entering through the nostrils starting at the left curve down and then the same to the right now from here we are just going to draw the bottom of the chin, so starting on the left side I'm going to leave a little space between the curve of the eye towards the center, just below the nostrils, we're going to curve this back to the right side now that we're.

We're just going to add the little rounded fins on the side of the head, so starting here, we're just going to draw an oval with an open end on the inside, so here it's going to curve up and then just pull that back. By leaving a little space from here, you will continue this curve along the side of the head. We're going to do the same thing on the right side, starting from here we're going to make a curve and then we're just going to pull back to make a gap now we just want to curve up a little bit on the side of the head.

Now I'm going to add two larger ones that point up starting from the left. I'm going to curve left around it. outwards and then again pulling down leaving a small space between the eyes we will do the same on the right side curving to the right and then pulling down now we are going to continue working towards the top of the head so on the left side here I'm just going to curve around the eye the same thing on the right side now we're going to add those two big ears on top so on the left side we're just going to go down so there's a little bit of overlap and then we're going to curve this towards the side superior.

I'm going to round off at the top and we'll just go down right on top, do the same thing on the right side so we're. I'm going to go down and up towards the top. I'm going to round this up and just pull it down to the right. I'm going to draw a curve across the top of the head, so I just want to overlap it on top. ears starting on the left side. I'm going to go over the head. I just want to overlap the inner edge of the ear on the right side. Now let's blend the two horns on top in the middle.

We are going to leave a small space on the left side that will curve to the right. I'll take these points and curve them again behind the top of the head. I'm going to place some bumps along the center of the head here, so starting at the top we're going to draw an oval starting from the top just rounding this off. I'm going to make it smaller as I go down towards the eyes, so going down I'll leave a little bit of room. go a little bit smaller step down again draw a smaller one and then a final one just draw a small one here at the bottom now that we have the head let's move down the body now

toothless

it has a pretty wide neck so Just we'll bring it a little closer on the left side, here it will curve around the same on the right side.

I'm going to place the front legs behind the neck, so from this point I move and then back towards the bottom of the foot, we're going to step to the right side and do the same thing curving and then down towards the bottom . Now from here I want to round the bottom of the feet. I want to go out. a little bit of space in the middle Space the same on the right side now from these points I just want to curve in the opposite direction going up towards the armpit coming out do the same on the right side on the inside of the arms I just want to draw a little wrinkle, so I'm going to go down, I'm just going to draw another curve up to the right.

We're going to do the same thing now down here, just above the bottom of the feet, and we're going to draw a little curve for the belly let's add some toes starting on the left side in this corner here we're going to curve up and pull it down it's almost like a little half oval we do this three times across the width let's do the same thing on the right side now We're going to start on the outside, we're going to work our way in now on the sides of the arm, we're going to draw the back legs, so just up here and curve down and out so it leans outwards we're going to do the same on the right side so lining up the top I want to make sure the back legs are higher than the front from this point I'm just going to curve it behind of the front paw, do that on both sides now I'm going to add some toes starting from the corner we go up and down that same half oval we try to get three in here.

I'm going behind the front leg the same to the right starting from the outside working inwards now let's go back up here. and draw some wings, so starting from this little intersection here, I'm just going to curve up and to the left, same thing on the right side from here, we're going to curve down to the tip of the wing now from these. Points I just want to trace back from the inside edge of the wig, so from this point I want to narrow it down so it widens a little bit more as we go up, leaving a gap.

Now I'm going to bend this curve all the way back. the body we'll do the same on the right side up and back behind the body, we're going to add the little wings inside, so at this point here in a straight line, then we're going to angle this inwards towards the leg. Now I'm going to connect these points with a series of curves starting from the outer curve up and then down towards that point, going up and down now we're just going to put this one behind the front leg and do the same thing. on the right, just start with the first line down, go in and just angle it in and then again we'll connect those points with a curve.

The last thing I want to do is add some stitches to the ears and front. leg, so let's start on the left side here we are going to draw circles of various sizes, the largest ones, the medium sized ones, maybe a smaller one at the bottom, we will do the same on the right, then we will move towards the leg and we'll just draw. a pair on the side of the leg here start with a small, large, medium and then a small one on top, the same on the right, small, large, medium and then a small one on top to finish this and that that's all.
