I called my son out of Egypt when Herod discovered that the wise men of the east had deceived him. He was very angry and gave orders to his men to kill all the children who lived in or near Bethlehem and who were 2 years old or younger. The promise of the Lord was fulfilled just as the prophet Jeremiah had said in Ramah a voice was heard crying and weeping with a loud voice Rachel was mourning for her children and refused to be comforted because they were dead after the death of King Herod an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream with Joseph while he was still in Egypt the angel told him get up and take the boy and his mother back to Israel the people who wanted to kill him are now dead Joseph got up and went with them to Israel but when he heard that Herod's son Archelaus was now ruler of Judea, he was afraid to go there, so in a dream he was told to go to Galilee and they went to live there in the town of Nazareth, so the Lord's promise was fulfilled just as the Prophet had said that he would be called. a Nazarene Matthew three years later John the Baptist began to preach in the Judean desert he said return to God the kingdom of heaven will soon be here John was the one the prophet Isaiah was talking about when he said in the desert someone shouts get the way prepared for him Lord, make his way straight.

I baptize you with water so that you abandon your sins, but someone more powerful is going to come and I am not even fit to carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit. and with fire his threshing wheel is in his hand and he is ready to separate the wheat from the husk he will keep the wheat in a barn and burn the husks in a fire that never goes out Jesus left Galilee and went to the Jordan River to be baptized by John but John continued to object and said that I should be baptized by you why have you come to me Jesus replied for now this is how it should be because we must do everything that God wants us to do so John agreed so Jesus was He was baptized and As soon as he came out of the water, the sky opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending on him like a dove, then a voice from heaven said, "This is my dear son and I am pleased with him." The spirit took Jesus to the desert so that the devil could test him after Jesus went without food for forty days and nights he was very hungry so the devil came to him and said if you are the Son of God tell these stones to become bread Jesus answered the scriptures say that no one can live on food alone people need every word that God has said then the devil took Jesus to the

city and made him stand at the highest part of the temple the devil said if you are the Son of God jump from the scriptures di God will give orders to his angels about you they will take you in their arms and you will not hurt your feet on the stones jesus answered the scriptures also say do not try to test the Lord your God finally the devil took Jesus in a very high mountain place and showed him all the kingdoms of the earth and their power the devil told him all this I will give you if you bow down and worship me Jesus responded go away Satan the scriptures say worship the Lord your God and serve him only then the devil left Jesus and the angels came to help him when Jesus heard that John had been imprisoned he went to Galilee but instead of staying in Nazareth and Jesus moved to Capernaum this town was next to the lake of Galilee in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali then The promise of God was fulfilled just as the prophet Isaiah had said listen to the lands of Zebulun and Naphtali lands along the road to the sea and west of the Jordan listen to Galilee land of the Gentiles although your people live in darkness they will see a light bright even though they live in the shadow of death a light will shine on them then Jesus began to preach return to God the kingdom of heaven will soon be here as Jesus was walking along the shore of the lake of Galilee he saw two brothers one was Simon also known as Peter and the other one was Andrew, they were fishermen and they were casting their nets into the lake.
Jesus said to them, come with me, I will teach you to bring people instead of fish. At that moment, the two brothers cast their nets and went with him. Jesus asked them to come with him - they immediately left the boat and their father and went with Jesus. Large crowds followed Jesus from Galilee into the region around the ten cities known as the Decapolis. They also came from Jerusalem, Judea, and across the Jordan River. Matthew five When Jesus saw the crowds he went up to the side of a mountain and sat down Jesus' disciples gathered around him and he taught them God blesses the people who depend only on him belong to the kingdom of heaven God blesses the people those who are afflicted will find comfort God blesses those people who are humble the land will be theirs God blesses those people who want to obey him more than eating or drinking they will be given whatever they want God bless those people who are merciful they will be treated with mercy God bless those people whose hearts are pure they will see it God bless those people who make peace they will be called his children God bless those people who are mistreated for doing good they belong to the kingdom of heaven God will bless them when they are insulted and mistreated and I told all kinds of evil lies about you because of me, be happy and excited, you will have a great reward in heaven, people did these same things to the prophets who lived a long time ago, you are like salt to everyone on earth, but if the salt is already It doesn't taste like salt, how can it make food salty?
It only serves to be thrown and stepped on. You are like lights for the whole world. A city built on the top of a hill cannot be hidden and no one would light a lamp and put it underneath. a clay pot a lamp is placed on a candlestick where it can give light to everyone in the house make your lights shine so that others can see the good you do and praise your father in heaven do not think that I have come to put an end to the law and the prophets I did not come to abolish them but to give them their

meaning heaven and earth can disappear but I promise you that not a period or a comma will ever disappear from the law everything that is written in it must happen if you reject even the smallest commandment of the law and teach others to do the same, you will be the least important person in the kingdom of heaven, but if you obey and teach others its commandments you will have an important place in the kingdom. you must obey the commandments of God better than the Pharisees and the teachers of the law obey them if you don't I promise you that you will never enter the kingdom of heaven you know that our ancestors were told not to kill and a murderer must be taken to court but I promise you that if you are angry with someone you will have to go to trial if you call someone a fool they will take you to court and if you say that someone is worthless you will be in danger of the fires of hell so if you are about to place your offering on the altar and you remember that someone is angry with you, leave your offering there in front of the altar, make peace with that person, then go back and offer your offering to God before they drag you to court. friend of the person who has accused you of doing wrong, if you don't do it, they will hand you over to the judge and then to the officer who will put you in jail.
I promise you that you will not get out until you have paid the last hundred that you owe. You know the commandment that says be faithful. in marriage but I tell you that if you look at another woman and water you have already been unfaithful in your thoughts if your right eye makes you sin take it out and throw it away it is better to lose a part of your body than your whole body to end up in hell if your right hand It makes you sin, cut it off and throw it away, it is better to lose a part of your body than your whole body thrown into hell.
You have been taught that a man who divorces his wife must write divorce papers for her, but I tell you not to divorce your wife. wife unless he has committed some terrible sexual sin. If you divorce her, you will cause her to be unfaithful to you. as any man who marries her is guilty of taking another man's wife, you know that our ancestors were told not to use the name of the Lord to make a promise unless you are going to keep it, but I tell you that do not swear by anything when you make a promise heaven is the throne of God so do not swear by heaven the earth is the footstool of God so do not swear by the earth Jerusalem is the city of the Great King so do not swear by her do not swear on your ownhead you can't make a hair white or black when you make a promise just say yes or no nothing else comes from the devil you know you've been taught an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth but I tell you don't try to get it even with a person who has taught you done something when someone slaps your right cheek turn around and let that person slap your other cheek if someone sues you for your shirt hand over your coat also if a soldier forces you to carry his backpack a mile is two miles when people ask you give them something when they want to borrow money lend it to them you have heard people say love your neighbors and hate your enemies, but I tell you to love your enemies and pray for anyone who mistreats you, then you will act like your father in heaven, he does rise the sun on good and bad people and send rain for those who do right and for those who do wrong if you love only those people who love you for whom God rewards you for that even tax collectors love their friends If you greet only your friends, what good is that?
Not even unbelievers do that but you? you should always act like your father in heaven Matthew 6 when you do good deeds don't try to boast if you do you won't receive a reward from your father in heaven when you give the poor to speak blow a loud horn that's what braggarts do They do it in meeting places and on street corners because they are always looking for praise. I promise you that they already have their reward when you give to the poor, do not let them know, then your gift will be given in secret your father knows what is done in secret and will reward you when you pray do not be like those braggarts who love to stand up and pray in meeting places and on street corners they do this just to look good.
I promise you that they already have their reward when you pray go into a room alone and close the door pray to your father in private he knows what is done in private and will reward you when you pray do not speak more and more like people Who do not know God They believe that God likes to hear long prayers. Don't be like them. Your father knows what you need before you ask. You should pray like this. Our Father who is in heaven, help us to honor your name. Come and establish your kingdom so that everyone on earth will obey you. as you are obeyed in heaven give us our food today forgive our sins as we forgive others prevent us from being tempted and protect us from evil if you forgive others for the evils they do to you father who is in heaven will forgive you but if you do not forgive others your father will not forgive you your sins when you go without food do not try to be sad like those braggarts do when they go without food I promise you that you will already get your reward, instead, calm your hair and wash your Expensive, so the others won't know that you are leaving without eating, but your father sees what is done in private and will reward you.
Do not accumulate treasures on earth, moths and rust can destroy. They and thieves can break in and steal them, instead keep your treasures in heaven where moths and rust cannot destroy them and thieves cannot break in and steal them. Your heart will always be where your treasure is. Your eyes are like a window to your body. when they are good you have all the light you need but when your eyes are bad everything is dark if the light inside you is dark you are surely in the dark you cannot be a slave to two masters will you like one more than the other or be more loyal to one that the other you cannot serve God and money I tell you not to worry about your life do not worry about having something to eat drink or wear it is not life other than food or clothing look at the birds in the sky they do not plant or harvest They do not even store grain or barns, yet your Heavenly Father takes care of them, are you not worth more than the birds?
Can you worry? They will make you live longer. Why worry about clothes? Watch the wildflowers grow. They don't work hard to make their clothes but I tell you that Solomon with all his riches was not as well dressed as one of them God gives so much beauty to everything that grows in the field even though today it is here and thrown into a fire Tomorrow will surely do even more for you why you have so little faith don't worry and ask yourselves where we have something to eat where we have something to drink where we have clothes to wear only people who don't know God always worries about those things.
Your father in heaven knows you need all of this, but most of all, put God's work first and do what he wants, then all the other things will be yours too. Don't worry about tomorrow. take care of yourself you have enough to worry about today Matthew 7 do not condemn others and God will not condemn you God will be as hard on you as you are on others he will treat you exactly as you treat them you can see the speck in the eye of your friend but you do not notice the log in your own eye, how can you say my friend, let me remove the speck from your eye when you do not see the log in your own eye, you are nothing but show? offs first take the log out of your own eye then you can see how to get the speck out of your friends I don't give two dogs what belongs to God they will only turn around and attack don't throw pearls in front of them pigs they will trample them ask and you will receive seek and You will find a knock and the door will be opened to you.
Everyone who asks will receive. Everyone who seeks will find and the door will be opened to everyone who knocks. Any of you? give a stone to your hungry child if the child asked you for some bread you would give your child a snake if the child asks for a fish as bad as you you still know how to give good gifts to your children but your heavenly father is even smarter To give good things to the people who ask you, treat others as you want to be treated, this is what the law and the prophets are about.
Enter through the narrow gate, the gate to destruction is wide and the path that leads there is easy. Of course, many people pass through that door but the doors of life are very narrow, the path that leads there is so difficult to follow that only a few people find it. Beware of false prophets, they disguise themselves as sheep but inside they are wolves who have come to attack you you can know what they are by what they do no one picks grapes or figs from thorns a good tree produces good fruit and a bad tree produces bad fruit a good tree cannot bear bad fruit and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit Every tree that produces bad fruit will be cut down and burned.
You can tell who the false prophets are by their works. Not everyone who calls me their Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven. Only those who obey my father who is in heaven will enter. On the day of judgment many will call me their Lord they will say that we preach in your name and in your name we cast out demons and perform many miracles but I will tell them that I will have nothing to do with you get out of my sight evil people anyone who listens and obeys these teachings of mine is like a wise person who built a house on solid rock the rain poured flooded rivers and the wind beat against that house but it did not fall because it was built on solid rock anyone who listens to my teachings and does not obey them is like a fool who built a house on sand the rain fell in buckets the rivers overflowed and the winds blew and beat against that house finally fell with a crash when Jesus finished speaking the crowd was surprised by his teaching he taught them as someone with authority and not as their teachers of the Law of Moses Matthew 8 While Jesus was coming down from the mountain, large crowds followed him, suddenly a man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus, he said, "Do you want Jesus?" man disappeared Jesus told him don't tell anyone about this but go and show the priest that you are okay then take a gift to the temple alone as Moses commanded and everyone will know that you have been healed when Jesus was going to the city of Capernaum an army officer He approached him and said, Lord, my servant is at home in such terrible pain that he cannot even move.
I will go and heal him. Jesus responded, but the officer said, Lord, I am not good enough for you to come into my house. Just give the order and my servant will be healed I have officers who give me orders and I have soldiers who receive orders from me I can tell one of them go and he goes I can tell another come and he comes I can tell my servant do this and he will do it when Jesus When he heard this, he was so surprised that he turned and said to the crowd that followed him.
I tell you that in all of Israel I have never found anyone with so much faith. Many people will come from all over to enjoy the feast in the kingdom of heaven with Abraham Isaac. and Jacob but those who were supposed to be in the kingdom will be thrown into darkness they will cry and grit their teeth in pain then Jesus said to the officer you can go home now your faith has made it possible at that moment his servant was healed Jesus went to the Peter's house where he found Peter's mother. His father-in-law was sick in bed with a fever.
He took her by the hand and the fever left her. Then she got up and served food to Jesus. That night many demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus and With just one word he cast out the evil spirits and healed all those who were sick, so the promise of God was fulfilled just as the prophet Isaiah had said, he healed our diseases and healed us when Jesus saw the crowd, crossed the Lake of Galilee, a teacher of the law of Moses approached him. And he said master, I will go with you anywhere Jesus answered the foxes have dens and the birds have nests but the Son of Man has no place to call his own another disciple said to Jesus Lord let me wait until I bury my father Jesus answered come with me and let the dead bury their dead after Jesus left in a boat with his disciples a terrible storm suddenly hit the lake and the waves began to splash on his boat Jesus was fast asleep so the disciples came to him and They woke up and told him to save, we are going to drown.
Jesus answered, why are you so afraid? You probably don't have much faith. Then he got up and ordered the wind and the waves to calm down and everything was calm. The men in the boat were amazed and said: Who is this? Even the wind and waves obey him. After Jesus crossed the lake, he reached the shore near the town of Gadara and set out on his way. Two men with demons in them came to him from the tombs. They were so fierce that no one could. suddenly they shouted not far from there a large herd of pigs was grazing then the demons begged Jesus Jesus told them to leave and they came out of the man and entered the pigs suddenly the pigs rushed down the steep slope towards the lake and those who were taking care of the pigs drowned.
They ran to the town and told everything, especially what had happened to the two men. Everyone in the town went out to meet Jesus. When they saw him, they begged him to leave their part of the country. Matthew 9 Jesus got up. to a boat and crossed back to the town where he lived some people soon brought him a lame man lying on a mat when Jesus saw how much faith they had he said to the lame man my friend don't worry your sins are forgiven some teachers of the law of Moses They said to themselves Jesus must think he is God but Jesus knew what was in their minds and said why are they thinking such bad things it is easier for me to tell this lame man that his sins are forgiven or tell him to get up and walk but I will show you that the Son of man has the right to forgive sins here on earth so Jesus said to the man get up, take your mat and go home the man got up and left When the crowd saw this at home, they were afraid and praised God for giving such authority to the people when Jesus was leaving, he saw a tax collector named Matthew sitting in the place to pay taxes.
Jesus said to him, come with me. Mateo got up and went with him. Later Jesus and his disciples were having dinner at Matthew's house. Many publicans and other sinners were also there. Some Pharisees asked Jesus' disciples why your teacher eats with tax collectors and other sinners. Jesus listened to them and responded that healthy people do not need a doctor, but. the sick do go and learn what the scriptures mean when they say instead of offering me sacrifices I want you to be merciful to others I did not come to invite good people to be my followers I came to invite sinners one day some followers of John the Baptist He came and asked Jesus why we Pharisees often go without food, while his disciples never do.
Jesus responded to the bridegroom's friends, do not go without food while he is still with them, but the time will come when he will be. If they take away, then they will be left without food. No one uses a new piece of cloth to mend old clothes. The patch would shrink and make a larger hole. No one pours new wine into old wineskins. The wine would swell and burst. The old wineskins and then the wine. it would be lost in the skins it would be ruined the new wine must be put into new skins both the skins and the wine will be safe while Jesus was still speaking a Jewish official came and knelt in front of him the man said my daughter has just died please come and put your hand on her then she will live again Jesus and his disciples got up and went with the man a woman who had been bleeding for twelve years came up behind Jesus and barely touched his clothes she had said to herself if I can touch his clothes I will wear Well Jesus turned around and saw the woman andShe said don't worry now you are fine because of your faith at that moment she was healed when Jesus entered the Jewish official's house and saw the musicians and the crowd of mourners he said get out of here the girl is not dead she is just asleep everyone They began to laugh at Jesus, but after the crowd was sent out of the house, Jesus went to the girl's bedside, took her by the hand, and helped her.
The news of this spread throughout that part of the country as Jesus walked, two blind men began to follow him and shout, after Jesus entered, the two blind men approached him and he asked them: do you think I can cure him? If the Lord Jesus touched their eyes and said to them by your faith you will be healed they could see Jesus strictly warned them not to tell anyone about him but they went and told everyone in that part of the country about him like Jesus and His The disciples were on the way some people brought him a man who could not speak because a demon was inside him after Jesus had cast out the demon, the man began to speak, the crowd was so amazed that they began to say that they would never Something like this had happened in Israel.
But the Pharisee said that the leader of the demons gives him the power to cast out the demons. Jesus went to every town and village, taught in their meeting places, and preached the good news about the kingdom of God. Jesus also healed all kinds of illnesses and diseases when he saw the crowds he had compassion on them they were confused and helpless like sheep without a shepherd he told his disciples there is a great harvest in the field but there are few workers ask the Lord in charge of the harvest to send workers to bring it in Matthew 10 Jesus gathered his 12 disciples and gave them the power to expel evil spirits and heal all kinds of diseases and illnesses.
The first of the 12 apostles was Simon, better known as Peter. His brother Andrew was an apostle and so was James. and John the two sons of Zebedee Philip Bartholomew Thomas Matthew the tax collector James the son of Alphaeus and Thaddeus were also apostles the others were Simon known as the anxious and Judas Iscariot who later betrayed Jesus Jesus sent the Twelve Apostles with these instructions Stay far from the Gentiles and do not go to any Samaritan town. Go only to the people of Israel because they are like a flock of lost sheep. Go announce that the kingdom of heaven will soon be here.
Heal the sick. Raise the dead. Heal the lepers. and expel the demons that you received without pain now give without receiving payment do not carry gold, silver or copper coins and do not carry a travel bag or an extra shirt or sandals or a cane the workers deserve their food so when you go to a town or to a village find someone worthy enough to have you as a guest and stay with them until you leave when you go to a home give them your blessing of peace if the home deserves it let your blessing remain with them, but if the home does not deserves, withdraw your blessing from each one, if someone does not receive you or does not listen to your message, leave their house or city and shake the dust from your feet.
I promise you that judgment day will be easier. To the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, to that city I send you like lambs in a pack of wolves, so be as wise as snakes and as innocent as doves, beware of people who will take you to court and beat you. in their meetings. places because of me you will be dragged before rulers and kings to tell them and the Gentiles about your faith but when someone arrests you don't worry about what you will say or how you will say it at that time you will be given the words to say but you will not really be you whoever speaks the spirit of your father will tell you what to say brothers and sisters will betray each other and kill each other parents will betray their own children and children will turn against their parents and have them killed everyone will hate you for my fault but if you remain faithful to the end you will be saved when people mistreat you in one town hurry to another I promise you that before you have gone to all the towns of Israel the Son of Man will come the disciples are no better than their teacher and the slaves are not better than their master, it is enough for the disciples to be like their master and the slaves to be like their master.
If they call the head of the family satan, what will they say about the rest of the family, do not be afraid of anyone, everything that is hidden will be discovered and every secret will be known everything I tell you in the darkness you must tell it in the light and you must announce it from the rooftops everything I have whispered to you do not be afraid of people they can kill you but they cannot arm your soul in Instead of that you must fear God who can destroy your body and your soul in hell. It is not two sparrows sold for just a penny but your father knows when one of them falls to the ground even the hairs on your head are numbered so do not fear. you are worth much more than many sparrows if you tell others that you are mine I will tell my father in heaven that you are my followers but if you reject me I will tell my father in heaven that you do not belong to me do not believe that I came to bring peace to the earth I came to bring problems not peace I came to turn children against them father's daughters against their mothers and daughters-in-law against their mothers-in-law your worst enemies will be in your own family if you love your father or your mother or even your sons and daughters more than me you are not fit to be my disciples and unless you are willing to take up your cross and come with me you are not fit to be my disciples if you try to save your life you will lose it but if you give it up for me You will surely find it.
Anyone who receives you receives me and Anyone who receives me also receives him who sent me. Anyone who receives a prophet just because he is a prophet will receive the same reward as a prophet. Anyone who receives a good person just because he is good will receive the same reward. as a good person and anyone who gives a glass of fresh water to one of my most humble followers just because that person is my follower will surely be rewarded Matthew 11 After Jesus finished instructing his twelve disciples he left and began teaching and preaching in the towns John was in prison when he heard what Christ was doing, so John sent some of his followers to ask Jesus, are you the one we should look for or should we wait for someone else?
Jesus answered, go and tell John what you have heard and seen. The blind can now see and the lame can walk The lepers are being healed and the deaf can hear The dead are raised and the poor are hearing the good news God will bless everyone who does not reject me for what I do While the followers of John They were going, Jesus spoke to the crowd about John, what kind of person did you go out to see in the desert? Was it like tall grass blown by the wind? What kind of man did you go out to see?
I see someone dressed in fine clothes people who dress like that live in the king's palace but you really went out to see he was a prophet he certainly was I tell you he was more than a prophet in the scriptures God says about him I send you my messenger ahead of you To prepare things for you I tell you that no one ever born on this earth is greater than John the Baptist but the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than John from the time of John the Baptist until now violent people have been trying to take over the kingdom of heaven by force all the books of the prophets and the law of Moses said what was going to happen until the time of John and if you believe them John is Elijah the Prophet you are waiting for if you have ears, pay attention you are like children sitting in the market and shouting at each other we played the flute but you didn't dance we sang a funeral song we played them without crying John the Baptist was not eating or drinking and you say that the man has a demon inside him but the son of the man goes around eating and drinking and you say that the man eats and drinks too much, he is even a friend of tax collectors and sinners, but wisdom is shown to be correct by what he does in In the cities where Jesus had done most of His miracles, the people refused to turn to God, then Jesus became angry with them and said: You people of Korazin are in trouble, you people of Bethsaida are also in trouble if the miracles that took place in your cities . cities would have happened in Tire and Sidon, the people there would have turned to God a long time ago, they would have dressed in sackcloth and put ashes on their heads.
I tell you that on the day of judgment the people of Tire and Sidon will be delivered more easily than you will be the people of Capernaum. Do you believe that you will be honored in heaven? Will you go down to hell if the miracles that occurred in your people had happened in Sodom? I would be standing, that's why I tell you that on the day of judgment the people of Sodom will come out easier than you at that moment Jesus said My Father, Lord of Heaven and Earth, I thank you that you hid all this from the wise and educated people and you showed it to the common people yes Father that is what pleased you my father has given me everything and he is the only one who knows the Sun the only one who truly knows the father is the Sun but the Sun wants to tell others about the father so that they may know him also if you are tired of carrying heavy burdens come to me and I will give you rest take the yoke that I give you put it on your shoulders and learn from me I am meek and humble and you will find rest this yoke is easy to carry and This burden is light Matthew 12:1 Saturday Jesus and his disciples were walking through some wheat fields.
His disciples were hungry and began to gather and eat grains of wheat. Some Pharisees told Jesus why are your disciples gathering grain on the Sabbath? That they shouldn't do that, Jesus replied, surely you should have read what David did when he and his followers were hungry, entered the house of God and then ate the sacred breads that only priests are supposed to eat, haven't you read in the law of Moses that priests are allowed to work in the temple on the Sabbath but no one says that they are guilty of violating the law of the Sabbath I tell you that there is something bigger here than the temple you don't know what the scriptures mean when they say instead of offering sacrifices to me I want you to be merciful to others if you knew what this means, he would not condemn these innocent disciples of mine, so the son of man is lord of the Sabbath.
Jesus left and went to one of the Jewish meeting places where there was a man whose hand was crippled. Some Pharisees wanted to accuse Jesus of having done something wrong and asked him if it was okay for him to heal someone on the Sabbath. Jesus responded if you had a sheep that fell into a pit on the Sabbath, wouldn't you pull it out? He is worth much more than the sheep and that is why it is correct to do good on the Sabbath. Then Jesus told the man to stretch out his hand, the man did so and was as healthy as the other.
The Pharisees left him and began making plans to kill Jesus when Jesus found out. What was happening came out from there and a large crowd followed him. He healed all his sick people but warned them not to tell anyone about him. Thus God's promise was fulfilled just as the prophet Isaiah had said. Here is my chosen servant. I love and I like him. I will give him my spirit and he will judge the nations. He will not argue or shout or be heard speaking in the streets. He will not break a bent twig or quench a faintly burning flame until he causes justice to win the victory.
All nations. They put their hope in him. The people brought to Jesus a man who was blind and could not speak because he had a demon inside him. Jesus healed the man and then he was able to speak and see the crowd was so amazed that they asked if Jesus could be. David's son and the Pharisees heard this and said that he drives out demons by the power of Beelzebul, the ruler of demons. Jesus knew what they were thinking and told them that in any kingdom where people fight among themselves we will end up ruined. A fighting people or family will soon destroy themselves, just as Satan fights against himself, how can his kingdom last if I use the power of Beelzebul to cast out the demons whose power your own followers use to cast out?
Your followers are the ones who will do it. I judge you, but when I cast out demons by the power of the Spirit of God, it shows that the kingdom of God has already come to you. How can someone break into a strong man's house and steal his things unless he first ties up the strong man and then he can take everything if you are not on my side you against me if you do not gather the harvest with me you scatter it I tell you that any sinful thing you do or say can be forgiven even if you speak against the Son of man you can be forgiven but if you speak against the Holy Spirit you can never be forgiven neither in this life nor in the next.
A good tree only produces good fruits and a bad tree produces bad fruit you can tell what a tree is like by the fruit it produces you are a bunch of evil snakes so how can you say anything good? Their words show what is in their hearts. Good people bring good things out of their hearts, but bad people bring bad things out of their hearts. I promise you that on the day of judgment. everyone will have to account for every careless word they have said that day they will be told that they are innocent or guilty for the things that some Pharisees and teachers of the law of Moses have said said teacher we want you to show us a sign of theheaven but Jesus answered you want a sign because you are bad and you will not believe but the only sign you will get is the sign of the prophet Jonah he was in the stomach of a big fish for three days and three nights just like the Son of Man will be in deep in the earth for three days and three nights on the day of judgment.
The people of Nineveh will be there with you and will condemn you. They turned to God when Jonah preached, and yet here is something much greater than Jonah the Queen. of the South will also be there with you and will condemn you she traveled a long way to hear the wisdom of Solomon and yet here is something much greater than Solomon when an evil spirit leaves a person he travels through the desert looking for a place to rest but when the demon can't find a place and says I will go back to the room on my left when he gets there and finds the place empty, clean and tidy, he shoots and finds seven other evil spirits even worse than him, they all come and make their home there and the person It ends worse than before so it will be with you, evil people today, while Jesus was still speaking to the crowd, his mother and brothers came and stood outside because they wanted to talk to him, someone said to Jesus.
Your mother and your brothers are outside and they want to talk to you Jesus answered who is my mother and who are my brothers then he pointed to his disciples and said these are my mother and my brothers anyone who obeys my father who is in heaven is my brother or sister or mother Matthew 13 that same day Jesus left the house and went out by the lake of Galilee where he sat down to teach, so many people gathered around him that he had to sit in a boat while the people were standing on the shore .then he taught them many things using stories, he said that a farmer went out to scatter seeds in a field while the farmer was scattering the seeds, some fell along the road and were eaten by birds, other seeds fell on a rocky ground and thin and quickly began to grow because the soil was not very deep but when the sun came out the plants burned and dried because they did not have enough roots some other seeds fell where thorny bushes grew and suffocated the plants but some seeds fell on good soil where the plants produced a hundred or sixty or thirty times more than what was spread if you have ears pay attention Jesus' disciples came up to him and asked him why not use nothing but stories when you talk to people Jesus replied that I have explained to you the secrets about the kingdom of heaven to you but not to others everyone who has something will be given more but people who have nothing will lose even the little they have I use stories when I talk to them because when they look they don't see and when they listen they cannot hear or understand then the promise of God came true just as the prophet Isaiah had said these people will listen and listen but they will never understand they will look and look but they will never see they all have stubborn minds their ears are stopped and their eyes are covered they cannot see or hear or understand if they could they would come to me and I would heal them but God has blessed you because your eyes can see and your ears can hear many prophets and good people were eager to see what you see and to hear what you hear but you I say they did not see or hear now listen to the meaning of the farmer's story the seeds that fell on the road are the people who hear the message of the kingdom but do not understand it then the Evil One comes and snatches the message from their hearts the seeds that fell On rocky ground, they are the people who gladly listened to the message and accepted it immediately, but they do not have deep roots and do not last long as soon as life becomes difficult or the message gets them into trouble, they give up the seeds that fell among the thorns.
People who hear the message but begin to worry about the needs of this life and allow themselves to be deceived by the desire to get rich so that the message arrives drowned and never produce anything. The seeds that fell on good soil are the people who listen and understand the message. that produce up to one hundred or sixty or thirty times what was planted Jesus then told them this story the kingdom of heaven is like What happened when a farmer scattered good seed in a field but while everyone was sleeping an enemy came and scattered bad seeds weeds in the field and then it was gone when the plants grew and began to mature the farmers' servants could see the weeds the servants came and asked?
Lord, did he not scatter good seed in his field? Where did this weed come from? An enemy did this, responded to his servants and then asked: Do you want us to go out and pull up the weeds? No, he replied, he can also pluck wheat leaves. the tares alone until harvest time then I will tell my workers to gather the tares and tie them and burn them but I will have them keep the wheat in my barn Jesus told them another story the kingdom of heaven is like what happens when A farmer plants a mustard seed in a field, although it is the smallest of all seeds, it grows larger than any garden plant and becomes a tree, even birds make nests in its branches.
Jesus also said that the kingdom of heaven is like what happens when a woman mixes a little yeast into three large batches of flour, eventually all the dough rises. Jesus used stories when he spoke to the people. In fact, he didn't tell them anything without using them. stories then God's promise was fulfilled as the prophet said I will use stories to give my message and to explain the things that have been hidden since the creation of the world after Jesus left the crowd and entered, his disciples came to him and they said to him, explain to us the story of the tares in the wheat field.
Jesus responded to the one he scattered. the good seed is the son of man the field is the world and the good seeds are the people who belong to the kingdom the seeds of the tares are those that belong to the evil one and the one who scattered them is the devil the harvest is the end of time and the angels are the ones who bring the harvest the tares are gathered and burned so it will be at the end of time the Son of Man will send his angels and they will gather from his kingdom everyone who does evil or causes others to sin then he will throw them into a furnace of fire where people will cry and grit their teeth and grieve with everyone who has done good will shine like the sun in his father's kingdom if you have ears pay attention the kingdom of heaven is what happens when someone finds a treasure hidden in a field and reburies it, such a person is happy and goes and sells everything to be able to buy that field.
The kingdom of heaven is like what happens when the owner of a store searches for fine pearls after finding a very valuable the owner goes and sells everything to be able to buy that pearl the kingdom of heaven is like what happens when you throw a net into a lake and catch all kinds of fish when the net is full it drags to the shore and the The fisherman sits down to separate the fish. They keep the good ones but throw away the bad ones. So it will be at the end of time. The angels will come and separate the bad ones from those who have done the right thing.
Then those bad ones will be thrown into a burning oven where they will cry. and they will grit their teeth and suffer. Jesus asked his disciples if they understood all these things. They said yes, so he told them that every student of the Scriptures who becomes a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like someone who brings out new treasures and old men from the warehouse when Jesus finished telling these stories he left and went to his hometown, he taught in the meeting place and the people were so amazed that they asked where he gets all this wisdom and the power to do these miracles, isn't it?
He the carpenter's son? Isn't Mary his mother and aren't Santiago José Simón and Judas his brothers? His sisters still don't live here in our town, how can he do all this so that people would be there? very unhappy about what he was doing but Jesus said that prophets are honored by everyone except the people of his hometown and his own family and because the people did not have any faith Jesus did not do many miracles there Matthew 14 around this time Herod the ruler the news about Jesus and told his officials, this is John the Baptist, he has returned from the dead and that is why he has the power to do these miracles.
Herod had earlier arrested John and had him chained and imprisoned. He did this because John had told him it is not right for you to take Herodias, your brother Philip's wife. Herod wanted to kill John but the people thought that John was a prophet and Herod was afraid of what they might do but Herod's birthday came. Herodias' daughter danced for the guests, which pleased Herod so much that he swore to give her everything she wanted, but the girl's mother told him to say, here on a tray, I want the head of John the Baptist. The king repented of what he had said.
But he did not want to break the promise he had made in front of his guests, so he ordered a guard to go to the prison and cut off John's head. They took it on a tray to the girl and she gave it to her mother. John's followers took her body and buried it. So they told Jesus what had happened. After Jesus heard about John, he crossed the lake of Galilee to go somewhere where he could be alone, but the crowd found out and followed him on foot from the towns. When Jesus got out of the boat, he saw The great crowd took pity on them and healed all those who were sick.
That afternoon the disciples approached Jesus and said to him, this place is like a desert and it is already late, let the crowd leave so they can go to the towns to buy some food Jesus replied that you don't have to go why don't you give them something to eat but they said we only have five small loaves and two fish Jesus asked his disciples to bring him the food and told the crowd to sit on the grass Jesus took the five loaves in the two fishes he looked towards the sky and blessed the food then he broke the bread and gave it to his disciples and they gave it to the people after everyone had eaten everything they wanted The disciples From Jesus they collected twelve large baskets with the leftovers.
There were about five thousand men who ate, not counting the women and children. Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into a boat and return to cross the lake, but he stayed until he dismissed the crowd and then he went up to a mountain where he could be alone and pray later that night he was still there at that time the boat was very far from the shore it was going against the wind and the waves were tossing it a little before morning Jesus came walking on the shore water towards his disciples, when they saw him, they thought he was a ghost, they were terrified and began to scream and once Jesus told them, don't worry, I am Jesus, don't be afraid.
Peter responded, Lord, if it's really you, telling me to come to you in the water, let's go. Jesus said then Peter got out of the boat and began to walk on the water towards him Peter saw how strong the wind was he was afraid and began to sink Lord save me he shouted immediately Jesus extended his hand and helped Peter up and said to him: You probably don't have much faith, why do you doubt? When Jesus and Peter got into the boat, the wind died down, the men in the boat worshiped Jesus and said that you really are the Son of God, Jesus and his disciples.
They crossed the lake and came to the shore near the town of Gannett, the people discovered that he was there and they said or do everyone who lived in that part of the country, so they brought all the sick to Jesus and begged him to leave them. They touched his clothes and all who did so were healed Matthew 15 At this time some Pharisees and teachers of the law of Moses came from Jerusalem and asked Jesus why your disciples do not obey what our ancestors taught us or even wash themselves. hands before Jesus answered why do you disobey God and follow your own teachings?
Didn't God command you to respect your father and mother? Didn't he tell you to kill everyone who curses their parents but you let people fend for themselves without helping? to their parents when they should you let them say that what they have has been offered to God is this any way to show respect to your parents you ignore the commandments of God in order to follow your own teachings and you are nothing more than braggarts I say the Prophet had right when he wrote that God had said that all of you praise me with your words, but you never really think of me.
It's useless for you to worship me when you teach rules and are invented by humans. Jesus gathered the crowd and said to pay. Pay attention and try to understand what I mean. The food you put in your mouth does not make you impure and incapable of worshiping God. The bad words that come out of your mouth are what make you impure. So his disciples approached him and asked him. Do you know that you insulted the Pharisees with what you said? Jesus answered, every plant that my father in heaven did not plant will be uprooted, stay away from those Pharisees, they are like the blind leading the blind, and they will all make you fall into a pit.
Peter answered, what did you mean when you talked about the things that defile the earth? people? Jesus then said: Do any of you no longer know what I am talking about? Don't they know the food they put in their mouth? It enters your stomach and then leaves your body but the words that come out of your mouth come from your heart and are what make you unfit to worship God.God, bad thoughts come out of your heart murder infidelity and marriage folder scriptures theft telling lies and insulting others this is what makes you unclean eating without washing your hands will not make you unfit to worship God Jesus left and went to the nearby territory From the cities of Tire and Sidon suddenly a Canaanite woman came out shouting, "My daughter is full of demons." Jesus did not say a word, but the woman continued following him and shouting.
Then his disciples came and asked him to send her away. Only the people of Israel are like a flock of lost sheep. The woman approached, then she knelt down and begged him. Jesus replied, "It is not right to take food from the children and give it to the dogs. It is true," the woman said, "but even the dogs receive the crumbs." that fall from their owners' table Jesus responded dear woman you really have a lot of faith and you will be given what you want at that moment her daughter was healed from there Jesus went by the Lake of Galilee then he climbed a mountain and sat down many people came and he brought many people who were crippled or blind or lame or unable to speak they put them and many others before Jesus and he healed them all everyone was amazed at what they saw and heard people who had never spoken could now speak The lame were healed.
The lame could walk. The blind could see. Everyone praised the God of Israel. Jesus called his disciples and told them I was sorry for these people. They have been with me for three days and they don't have to eat. I don't want to send them away hungry. They can faint in the On the way home, his disciples said that this place is like a desert, where can we find enough food to feed such a crowd? Jesus asked them how much food they had, they answered seven small loaves and a few small fishes after Jesus told the people to sit down.
He came down and took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks, then he broke them and gave them to his disciples who distributed them among the crowd. Everyone ate what they wanted and with the leftovers they filled seven large baskets and there were four thousand men who ate. Not counting the women and children, after Jesus had dismissed the crowd, he got into a boat and crossed the lake, arriving at the shore near the city of Magadan. Matthew 16 the Pharisees and Sadducees approached Jesus and tried to test him by asking him for a sign from heaven.
He told them if the sky is red in the afternoon they say it will be good weather but if the sky is red and gloomy in the morning they say it will be fine. to rain they can know what the weather will be like by looking you look at the sky but you don't understand what is happening now you want a sign because you are bad and you don't believe but the only sign they will give you is what happened to Jonah so Jesus left the disciples They had forgotten to bring bread. When they crossed the lake, Jesus warned them to be careful of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
The disciples talked about this and said to each other, I must be saying this because we didn't bring bread. Jesus knew what they were thinking. and he said surely you don't have much faith why you talk about not having bread you don't understand have you forgotten about the five thousand people and all those baskets with the leftovers of only five loaves and what about the four thousand? People and all those baskets have leftovers of only seven loaves. They do not know since I am NOT talking to them about bread. Be careful with the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Finally, the disciples understood that Jesus was not talking about the yeast was used to make bread but about the teachings. of the Pharisees and Sadducees when Jesus and his disciples were near the town of Caesarea Philippi he asked them what the people say about the Son of Man the disciples answered some say that you were John the Baptist or maybe Elijah or Jeremiah or some other prophet then Jesus told them He asked but who do you say I am Simon Peter spoke you are the Messiah the Son of the Living God Jesus said to him Simon son of Jonah you are blessed you did not discover this in yours my father showed it to you in heaven that is why I will call you Peter which means rock on this rock I will build my church and death itself will have no power over it I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven and God in heaven will allow everything that you allow on earth but he will not allow anything that you do not allow Jesus told his disciples not to They would tell no one that he was the Messiah.
From then on Jesus began to tell his disciples what would happen to him. He said I must go to Jerusalem. There the leaders of the nation, the chief priests and the teachers of the law of Moses, will make me suffer terribly. They will kill me but three days later I will rise again Peter took Jesus aside and told him to stop talking like that Lord surely God will not allow this to happen to you Jesus turned to Peter and said satan get away from me you are in my way because you think like everyone else and not like God then Jesus told his disciples if any of you want to be my followers you must forget yourself you must take up your cross and follow me if you want to save your life you will destroy it but if you give your life for me you will find it what will you gain if you are owner? the whole world but destroy yourself but what you give to recover your soul the Son of Man will soon come in the glory of his father and with his angels to reward all people for what they have done.
I promise you that some of those here will not die before they see the Son of Man coming with his kingdom Matthew 17 six days later Jesus took Peter and the brothers James and John went up with him to a very high mountain where they could be alone there in front of the disciples Jesus was completely changed his face shone like the sun and his clothes became white as light suddenly Moses and Elijah were there talking to Jesus then Peter said to him Lord, it is good for us to be here let's make three shelters one for you one for Moses and one for Elijah while Peter was still speaking the shadow of a bright cloud passed over them and from the cloud a voice said this is my dear son and I am pleased with him listen to what he says when the disciples heard the voice they had They were so afraid that they fell to the ground, but Jesus approached and touched them.
He told them to get up and do not be afraid. When they opened their eyes, they saw only Jesus coming down from the mountain. Jesus warned his disciples not to tell anyone what they had seen until the Son of the Man had risen from the dead the disciples asked Jesus, do not the teachers of the law of Moses say that Elijah must come before the Messiah? Jesus told them that Elijah will certainly come and prepare everything. In reality he already came but the people did not recognize him and they treated him as they wanted. Soon they will make the son of man suffer in the same way.
Then the disciples understood that Jesus was talking to them about John the Jesus. Baptist and his disciples returned to the crowd a man knelt in front of him and said Lord, have mercy on my son, he has a serious case of epilepsy and many times he falls into fire or water. I took it to your disciples, but none of them. could heal him Jesus said you are too stubborn to have faith how much longer should I be with you? Why do I have to put up with them? Bring the child here. Then Jesus spoke severely to the demon, he came out of the child and righteous. then he was healed, later the disciples went to Jesus privately and asked him why we couldn't cast out the demon.
Jesus responded that it's because you don't have enough faith, but I can promise you this if you didn't have more than one faith. mustard seed you could tell this mountain to move from here to there and everything would be possible for you while Jesus and his disciples were going from one place to another in Galilee, he told them that the Son of Man will be given to people who kill him but Three days later he will rise again. All of this made the disciples very sad. When Jesus and the others arrived in Capernaum, the collector of the temple tax approached Peter and asked him: Does your teacher pay the temple tax?
Yes, he pays for it. Peter responded. After returning home, Jesus approached Peter and asked him, Simon, do you think the kings of this land collect taxes and fees from their own people or from foreigners? Peter answered about the foreigners. Jesus responded then his own people don't have to do it. he pays, but we don't want to cause problems, so he go cast a line into the lake and take out the first hook, open your mouth and you will find a coin, use it to pay your taxes and mine. Matthew 18, about this time, the disciples came to Jesus and asked him who would be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus called a child and placed him near him and then said: I promise you this, if you do not change and become like this child, you will never enter the world. kingdom of heaven but if you are as humble as this child you are the greatest in the kingdom of heaven and when you receive one of these children because of me you receive me it will be terrible for the people who make even one of my little ones followers of sin it would be better for those people to be thrown into the deepest part of the ocean with a heavy stone tied around their necks the world is in trouble because of the way it makes people sin there will always be something that makes people sin but Anyone who does this will have problems if your hand or your foot makes you sin, cut it off and throw it away, it would be better for you to go into life lame or lame than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into the fire that never goes out if your eye makes you sin take it out and get rid of it it would be better to go to life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fires of hell don't be cruel to any of these little ones I promise you their angels are always with my father in heaven let me ask you This, what would you do if you had a hundred sheep and one of them got lost, wouldn't you leave the ninety-nine? the hillside and go look for the one that was lost.
I am sure that finding it would make you happier than having the ninety-nine that were never lost. one of my followers sins against you, go and point out what was wrong, but do it in private just between the two of you, if that person listens, you have regained a follower, but if that person refuses to listen, take some time. one or two more Scripture teaches that each complaint must be proven true by two or more witnesses if the follower refuses to listen to them report the matter to the church anyone who refuses to listen to the church should be treated as an unbeliever or a collector tax I promise you that God in heaven will allow everything that you allow on earth but he will not allow anything that you do not allow.
I promise you that when two of you on earth agree on something you are praying for, my father in heaven will do it. for you when two or three of you gather in my name I am there with you Peter approached the Lord and asked him how many times I should forgive someone who does something wrong to me seven times is enough Jesus answered not only seven times but seventy Seven times this story will show you what the kingdom of heaven is like. One day a king decided to call his officials and ask them to give him an account of what they owed him while he did so, they brought this official who he owed.
He gave him fifty million silver coins but he did not have the money to pay what he owed. The king ordered that he be sold along with his wife and children and everything he owned in order to pay the debt. The official knelt down and began begging to have mercy on me. and I will pay you every penny that I owe. The king took pity on him and let him go. He even told the official that he did not have to return the money since the official was leaving. He met another official who owed him a hundred silver coins, so he grabbed He began to strangle the man by the neck and told him to pay me what you owe.
The man knelt down and began to beg, have mercy on me and I will pay you back, but the first one. The official refused to take pity, instead he went and did imprison the other official until he could pay what he owed. When other officials found out what had happened, they felt sorry for the man who had been imprisoned and then told the king what had happened, the king called the first official and told him that you were an evil man when you begged for mercy. I told him you didn't have to return a feeling. Don't you think you should show pity to someone else like I did?
You the king became so angry that he ordered the officer to be tortured until he could pay everything he owed, this is how my father in heaven will treat you if you do not forgive each of my followers with all your heart Matthew 19 when Jesus finished teaching He left Galilee and went to the part of Judea that is east of the Jordan River. Many people followed him and he healed their sick. Some Pharisees wanted to test Jesus. They approached him and asked him if it is okay for a man to divorce his wife. For whatever reason Jesus answered, don't you know that in the beginning the creator made a man and a woman, that's why a man leaves his father and mother and gets married, he becomes like one person with his wife, so they are no longer one. two people but one and no one should separate a couple that God has brought together the Pharisees asked Jesus why Moses said that a man could write divorce papers and fire his wife Jesus responded that you are so heartless that's why Moses allowed you to divorce yourself wife but from the beginning God did not want it to be like that I say that if your wife has not committed some terrible sexual sin you should not divorce her to marry another person if you do you are unfaithful said the disciples if so it is between a man andIt is better for a woman not to marry.
Jesus told them only those people who have been given the gift of remaining single can accept this teaching. Some people cannot marry because of birth defects or because of what someone has done to their bodies. Others stay. singles for the kingdom of heaven anyone who can accept this teaching must do so some people brought their children to Jesus so that he could lay his hands on them and pray for them his disciples told the people to stop bothering him but Jesus said: let them Children come to me and don't try to stop them. People who are like these children belong to the kingdom of God after Jesus laid his hands on the children he left behind, a man approached Jesus and asked the teacher how good.
I must do to have eternal life Jesus told him why you ask me what is good only God is good if you want to have eternal life you must obey his commandments which the man asked Jesus answered do not murder be faithful in marriage do not steal do not tell lies about others Respect your father and mother and love others as much as you love yourself. The young man said, I have obeyed all of this. What else should I do? Jesus replied, If you want to be perfect, go sell everything you have, give the money to the poor. and you will have riches in heaven then come and be my follower when the young man heard this he became sad because he was very rich Jesus said to his disciples it is terribly difficult for the rich to enter the kingdom of heaven in fact it is easier for a camel to pass through through the eye of a needle for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God when the disciples heard this they were very surprised and asked how anyone can be saved Jesus looked at them intently and said there are some things that people cannot do but God can do anything Peter answered remember that we have left everything to be his followers what will we achieve Jesus answered yes all of you have become my followers and so in the future world when the son of man sits On his glorious throne I promise you that you will sit on 12 thrones to judge the 12 tribes of Israel.
To all who have renounced their home, their brothers and sisters, their father, their mother, their children or their land, they will be given a hundred times more. They also have eternal life but many who are now first will be last and many who are last will be first Matthew 20 While Jesus was telling what the kingdom of heaven would be like, he said early one morning a man went out to hire some workers for his vineyard, after agreeing to pay them. the usual amount for a day's work, he sent them out to his vineyard around 9:00 that morning, the man saw other people standing in the market with nothing to do and told them that he would pay them what was fair if they worked in his vineyard, so they went at noon and again around 3:00 in the afternoon he returned to the market and each time he made the same agreement with others who were lazing around with nothing to do finally around 5:00 in the afternoon The man returned and found others standing there and asked them why have you been standing here all day doing nothing because no one has hired us they replied then he told him to go work in his vineyard that afternoon the owner of the vineyard told him He told the man in charge of the workers to call them and give them their money.
He also told the man to start with those who were hired last. When the workers who had been hired arrived at 5:00 in the afternoon, they were given the day's salary. full, the workers who had been hired first thought that they would be given more than the others, but when they were given the same, they began to complain to the owner of the vineyard, they said that those who were hired last worked only one hour but you paid them the same as us. and we worked under the hot sun all day long the owner responded to one of them friend I didn't cheat on you I paid you exactly what we agreed to take your money now and leave what do you care if I want to pay them the same as I paid you? t I have the right to do whatever I want with my own money, why should they be jealous if I want to be generous?
Jesus then said thus that whoever is now first will be last and whoever is last will be first as Jesus was. On the way to Jerusalem he took his twelve disciples aside and told them privately, now we are on our way to Jerusalem where the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law of Moses will sentence him to death and then hand him over to foreigners who will they will mock him they will beat him and nail him to a cross but on the third day he will rise from the dead the mother of James and John came to Jesus with her two sons she knelt down and began to beg him to do something for her Jesus asked her what she wanted and She said to him when you come to your kingdom please let one of my son sit on your right and the other on your left Jesus answered none of you know what you are asking, can you drink from the cup that I must soon drink from James and John said yes, we are Jesus replied that you will certainly drink from my cup, but it is not for me to say who will sit on my right and on my left, that is for my father to say that when the other ten disciples heard this, they became angry. with the two brothers, but Jesus gathered the disciples and said to them: "You know that foreign rulers like to order their people and that their great leaders have all the power." They rule over all of them but do not act like them.
If you want to be great you must be a servant of all others and if you want to be first you must be a slave of others. The Son of Man did not come to be a master but a slave who will give his life to rescue many people Jesus was followed by a large crowd when he and his disciples were leaving Jericho two blind men were sitting by the road when they heard Jesus coming towards them they shouted crowd told them to be quiet but they shouted even louder and Jesus heard them He stopped and asked what do you want me to do for you?
They responded when they saw that Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they were able to see and became his followers. Matthew 21 When Jesus and his disciples approached Jerusalem, he went to Beth Fuji on the Mount of Jesus. olive trees and sent two of them ahead and told them to go to the next town, where they will immediately find a donkey with her colt, untie them both. donkeys and bring them to me if anyone asks you why you are doing Ned, just say that the Lord needs them immediately, he will let you have the donkeys so that the promise of God comes true just as the Prophet had said, he announced to the people of Jerusalem that your king is coming. for you he is humble and rides on a donkey he comes on a donkey's colt the disciples went and did what Jesus had told them they brought the donkey and it is a colt and they put some clothes on their backs then Jesus got on Many people hung clothes on the road while others placed branches that they had cut from the trees.
Some people walked in front of Jesus and others behind him. Everyone shouted. When Jesus arrived in Jerusalem, everyone in the city was excited and asked who this could be. The crowd responded. This is Jesus the Prophet from Nazareth in Galilee Jesus entered the temple and threw out all those who were selling or buying he overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those who sold doves he told them the scripture says my house should be called a place of worship but They have turned it into a place where thieves hide, the blind and the lame came to Jesus in the temple and He healed them but the chief priests and the teachers of the law of Moses were angry when they saw his miracles and heard the children shout praises to him. son of David, the men said to Jesus, don't you listen to what those children are saying?
Yes, I do, Jesus replied, don't you know that the Scriptures say that children and babies will sing praises to what Jesus left behind? the city and went out to the town of Bethany where he spent the night. When Jesus got up the next morning he was hungry and went out towards the city and on the way he saw a fig tree but when he got to it he only found leaves and there were no figs so he said to the tree You will never bear any fruit again. At that moment, the fig tree withered. The disciples were surprised to see how quickly the tree had withered, but Jesus told them, if you have faith and do not doubt, I promise you that you can do what I did to this tree. and you can do even more.
You can tell this mountain to get up and jump into the sea and it will do it. If you have faith, when you pray, everything you want will be given to you. ask about Jesus had entered the temple and was teaching when the chief priests and the leaders of the people approached him they asked him what right you have to do these things who gave you this authority Jesus answered I only have one question to ask you if you answer I will say where I got the right to do these things, who gave John the right to baptize, was it God in heaven or simply some human being, they thought about it and said to each other, we cannot say that.
God gave John this right. Jesus will ask us why we didn't believe John, on the other hand, these people think that John was a prophet and we are afraid of what they might do to us, that's why we can't say it was just that. a human who gave John the right to baptize so they told Jesus we don't know Jesus said then I won't tell you who gave me the right to do what I do Jesus said I'll tell you a story about a man who had two sons so can you tell me What do you think the father went to the eldest son and told him to go work in the vineyard today his son told him he wouldn't but then he changed his mind and went, the man then told his youngest son. to go to work in the vineyard the boy said he would do it but it was not which of the sons obeyed his father the eldest the chief priests and the leaders responded then Jesus told them you can be sure that the tax collectors and the bad women will get in the kingdom of God before you do, when John the Baptist showed you how to do the right thing, you wouldn't believe him, but these evil people did believe and even when you saw what they did, you still didn't change your mind and believed that Jesus He told the chief priests and leaders to listen to this story a landowner once planted a vineyard built a wall around it and dug a hole to crush the grapes he also built a watchtower then rented his vineyard and left the country when the harvest came Once The owner sent some servants to get his share of the grapes, but the tenants grabbed those servants, beat one, killed another and stoned one of them, then he sent more servants than the first time, but the tenants treated them badly. the same way.
In the same way finally the owner sent his own sons who are the tenants because he thought they would respect him, but when they saw the man's son they said that one day he will own the vineyard, let's kill him and then we can have it all for ourselves, so he they grabbed He took him out of the vineyard and killed him. Jesus asked when the owner of that vineyard comes, what do you think he will do to those Ritters? The chief priests and leaders responded that he will kill them in some horrible way and then rent his vineyard to the people. who gives him his share of grapes at harvest time Jesus answered surely you know that the scriptures say that the stone that the builders threw is now the most important stone of all this is something that the Lord has done and it is amazing for us I tell you. that the kingdom of God will be taken from them and given to people who will do what he demands.
Anyone who trips over this stone will be crushed and anyone on whom it falls will be shattered when the chief priests and the Pharisees heard these stories that they knew. that Jesus was talking about them they looked for a way to kill him but they were afraid to arrest Jesus because people thought he was a prophet Matthew 22 once again Jesus used stories to teach people the kingdom of heaven it's like what happened when a the king gave a wedding banquet for his son the king sent some servants to tell the guests to come to the banquet but the guests refused he sent other servants to tell the guests that the banquet is ready my cattle and my precious calves They have been prepared, everything is ready, they come to the banquet but the guests did not pay attention, some went to their farms and some went to their places of business, others grabbed the servants, beat them and killed them, this enraged the Kings so much that they sent an army. to kill those murderers and burn down their city, then he told the servants that it is time for the wedding banquets and the guests do not deserve to go out to the corners and tell everyone they meet to come to the banquet they went to.
They went out into the streets and brought everyone they could find, good and bad alike, and the banquet hall was filled with guests. When the king entered to receive the guests, he discovered that one of them was not wearing the appropriate clothes for the wedding. The king asked a friend why you were not wearing appropriate clothes for the wedding, but the guests had no excuse, so the king gave orders to tie that person's hands and feet and throw him outside, into the darkness, there. It's where people will cry and grit their teeth. with a toothache many are invited but only a few are chosen the Pharisees got together and planned how to trick Jesus into saying something bad they sent some of their followers and some of Herod's followers to tell him teacher we know you are honest teach the truth aboutwhat God wants people to do and you treat everyone with the same respect, no matter who they are, tell us what you think, should we pay taxes to the Emperor or not, Jesus knew their bad thoughts and said why are you trying to prove.
Me, braggart, let me see one of the coins used to pay taxes. They brought him two silver coins and he has whose image and name are on it. The emperor. They responded. Then Jesus told them to give to the Emperor what belongs to him and to God. What is from God His answer surprised them so much that they walked away. The Sadducees did not believe that people would be resurrected after death. So that same day some of the Sadducees came to Jesus and told him. The teacher Moses wrote that if a married man dies and He has no children his brother should marry the widow his first son would then be considered the dead brother's son once there were seven brothers who lived here the first one married but died without having children so his wife was left in the hands of his brother The same thing happened to the second and the third brother and finally to the seven.
Finally the woman died when God resurrected the people from the dead of the person who will be the wife of this woman. She had been married to the seven brothers. Jesus responded, you are completely wrong. no You don't know what the scriptures teach and you don't know anything about the power of God when God resurrects people, they will not get married, they will be like the angels in heaven and as for the people who will be resurrected to life, God was them talking. when he said: I am the God worshiped by Abraham Isaac and Jacob is not the god of the dead but of the living, the crowds were surprised to hear what Jesus was teaching after Jesus had made the Sadducees, the Pharisees found out and together one of them was an expert in Jewish law, so he tried to test Jesus by asking the teacher what is the most important commandment of the law.
Jesus answered: love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind, this is the first and the most important. commandment the second most important commandment is like this and it is to love others as much as yourself the entire law of Moses and the books of the prophets are based on these two Commandments while the Pharisees were still there Jesus asked them what they do think about the Messiah from whose family he will come they answered that he will be a son of King David Jesus answered how then could the spirit make David call the Messiah his Lord David said the Lord said to my lord sit at my right until I make your enemies a footstool from your feet if David called the Messiah his Lord how can the Messiah be the son of King David no one could give an answer to Jesus and from that day no one dared to ask him more questions Matthew 23 Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples the Pharisees and The teachers of the law are experts in the law of Moses so obey everything they teach you but do not do what they do after all they say one thing and do another, they pile heavy burdens on people's shoulders and do not move a finger to help them, everything they do is just to show off in front of others, they even make a big show of wearing scripture verses on their forehead and arms and wear big tassels for everyone to see.
I love the best seats at banquets and the front seats at meeting places and when you are in the market you like people to greet you like your teachers, but none of you should be called teacher, you have only one teacher and you are all as brothers and sisters, do not call anyone on earth your father you all have the same father in heaven none of you should call yourself a leader the Messiah is your only leader whoever is the greatest should be the servant of others if you put above others he will be despised but if he humbles himself you will be honored you, Pharisees and teachers of the law of Moses, you are in trouble, you are nothing more than braggarts, you exclude people from the kingdom of heaven, you do not enter and prevent them from Others come in, you Pharisees. and the teachers of the law of Moses are in trouble, they are nothing but braggarts, they travel by land and sea to gain a follower and when they have done so, they make that person twice as fit for hell as you are. for problems you are supposed to guide others but you are blind you teach that it does not matter if a person swears by the temple but you say that it does matter if someone swears by the gold in the temple you blind fools that the gold or the temple is greater than makes gold sacred you also teach that it does not matter if a person swears by the altar but you say that it does matter if someone swears by the offering on the altar you are blind which is more important the donation or the altar that sanctifies the offering whoever swears by it altar also swears by everything that is in it and whoever swears by the temple also swears by God who lives there, swearing by heaven is the same as swearing by the throne of God and by the only one who sits on that throne, you, Pharisees and teachers, they are boastful and in trouble, they give God a tenth of the spices in their garden, such as mint, dill, and cumin, but they neglect the more important matters of the law, such as justice. mercy and faithfulness these are the important things that you should have done although you should not have left the rest undone, or you have blind leaders, you tail a small fly but you swallow a camel, Pharisees and teachers, you are boastful and you are in for trouble you wash the outside of your cups and plates while inside there is nothing but greed and selfishness you blind Pharisee first clean the inside of the cup and then the outside will also be clean you Pharisees and teachers are in trouble you are nothing but braggarts you are like tombs that They have been whitewashed on the outside they are beautiful but on the inside they are full of bones and filth that's what you are like on the outside you look good but on the inside you are bad and you only pretend to be good Pharisees and the teachers are nothing more than braggarts and you get into trouble you build monuments for the prophets and you decorate the graves of good people and you claim that you would not have participated with your ancestors and killing the prophets but you show that they are really the relatives of those who killed the prophets so continue doing everything you did They are nothing more than snakes and children of snakes, how can they escape from going to hell?
I will send prophets and wise men and experts in the law of Moses for you but you will kill them or nail them to a cross or beat them in your meeting places or persecute them from town to town so you will be found guilty of the murder of every good person starting with the good man Abel, this also includes Peres. Jaya son Zechariah, the man you killed between the temple and the altar, I can promise that you, those who live today, will be punished for all these things. Jerusalem Jerusalem, your people have killed the prophets and stoned the messengers who were sent to you.
I have wanted it many times. to gather your people as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings but you did not leave me and now your temple will be deserted you will not see me again until you say blessed is he who comes in the name of the law Matthew 24 after Jesus He left the temple, his disciples approached and said: look at all these buildings, Jesus answered: do you see these buildings? Surely they will all be thrown down, not a stone will be left in his place later, while Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, his disciples.
He came to him privately and asked him when will this happen what will be the sign of your coming and the end of the world Jesus replied don't let anyone deceive you many will come and say they are me they will say they are the Messiah and they will deceive many people soon you will hear about wars and threats of wars, but fear not, these things will have to happen first, but that is not the end. Nations and kingdoms will go to war with each other. People will die of hunger. death and in some places there will be earthquakes but this is just the beginning of the problems they will be arrested, punished and even killed because of me they will be hated by people of all nations many will surrender and betray each other and hate each other many false prophets They will come and deceive many people.
Evil will spread and cause many people to stop loving others, but if you remain faithful to the end, you will be saved when the good news of the Kingdom has been preached throughout the world. told to all nations the end will come one day you will see that horrible thing in the Holy Place just as the prophet Daniel said everyone who reads this should try to understand if you are living in Judea at that time run to the mountains if you are on the roof from your house don't go looking for anything if you are in the country don't come back for your coat it will be a terrible time for women who are expecting babies or breastfeeding small children and praying that you will do it.
You will not have to escape in winter or in a This will be the worst time of suffering since the beginning of the world and nothing so terrible will happen again if God does not shorten the time no one will be left alive except by the will of God. chosen will shorten the time someone can say here is the Messiah or there he is but do not believe it false messiahs and false prophets will come and do great miracles and signs they will even try to deceive the chosen ones of God but I have warned them in advance if they tell them that The Messiah is in the desert, do not go there and if they tell you that he is in some secret place, do not believe it.
The coming of the Son of Man will be like a lightning bolt that can be seen from east to west, where there is a corpse, there will always be vultures right after it. those days of suffering the sun will darken and the moon will no longer shine the stars will fall and the powers in the sky will be shaken then a sign will appear in the sky and there will be the Son of Man. All the nations of the earth will weep when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
At the sound of loud trumpets he will send his angels to gather his chosen ones from all over the earth. They learn a lesson from a fig tree when its branches sprout and begin to put out its leaves. You know that summer is near so when you see all these things happening you will know that The time has almost come I can promise you that some of the people who live today will still be alive when all this happens heaven and earth will not last forever but my words no one knows the day or the hour the angels in heaven do not know and The son himself does not know, only the father knows that when the Son of Man appears, things will be like when Noah lived, people ate, drank and married until the day the flood came and Noah got into the big boat. .
They did not know that something was happening until the flood came and devastated them all. This is how it will be when the Son of Man appears, two men will be in the same field but only one will be taken away, the other will remain two women. We will be together grinding grain but only one will be taken. and the other will be left, so be on your guard, you do not know when your Lord will come. Homeowners never know when a thief is coming and are always on guard to prevent one from arriving. breaking in always be prepared you do not know when the Son of man will come who are faithful and prudent servants who are the ones that the lord will put in charge of giving the other servants their provisions in due time the servants are fortunate if their The master comes and the If you find yourself doing your job, you can be sure that a servant who is always faithful will be put in charge of everything the master owns, but suppose one of the servants thinks that the master will not return until late.
Suppose the evil servant begins to beat. all the other servants and eat and drink with people who are drunk if that happens surely the master will come on the day and at the hour that the servant least expects it that servant will then be punished and thrown out with those who only pretended they will serve their master there they will cry and they will grit their teeth in pain Matthew 25 the kingdom of heaven is like what happened one night when ten girls took their oil lamps and went to a wedding to meet the groom, five of the girls were foolish and five were the wise ones.
The foolish ones took their lamps but they did not have extra oil. Those who were wise took a lot of extra oil for their lamps. The groom arrived late and the girls fell asleep and fell asleep. Then in the middle of the night someone shouted, here comes the groom to find him when the girls left. They got up and began to prepare their lamps, the fools said to the rest, leave us some of your oil, our lamps are going out, the girls were wise, they responded, there is not enough oil for everyone, go buy some for yourselves, while the fools were on their way to look for a The groom arrived with a little oil.
The girls who were ready entered the wedding and the doors were closed. Then the other girls returned and shouted, Serve, sir, open the door for us, but the groom replied, "I don't even know you, so let my disciples always be ready." Do you know the day or the hour in which all this will happen? The kingdom is also like what happened when a man left and put his three servants in charge of everything he had. The man knew what each servant could do, so he gave them five thousand coins to the first servant, two thousand to the second and one thousand to the third and then he left the country as soon as the man left, the servant with the five thousand coins used them.
To earn five thousand more, the servant who had two thousand coins did the same with his money and earned two thousand more, but the servant with a thousand coins dug a hole and hid his master's money in the ground. Some time later the master of those servants returned and called them and asked them what they had done with their money. The servant who had been given five thousand coins brought them with the five thousand he had earned. He said sir, you gave me five thousand coins and I have earned five thousand more wonderful ones. His master replied, You are a good and faithful servant.
I left you in charge of just a little, but now I will put you in charge of much more. Come and share my happiness. Then the servant who had been given 2,000 coins came in and said, Sir, you gave me 2,000. coins and I have earned 2000 more wonderful his master replied you are a good and faithful servant I left you in charge just a little but now I will put you in charge of much more come and share my happiness the servant who had given me 1000 coins and then I went in and said sir, I know you are difficult to get along with, reap what you do not plant and gather crops where you have not scattered seeds.
I got scared and went out and hid his money in the here is every coin the servant's master told him you are lazy and useless you know that I reap what I do not sow and I gather where I have not scattered seeds at least you could have put my money in the bank to be able to earn interest then the master said now they will take your money and give it to the servant with ten thousand coins everyone who has something will be given more and they will have more than enough but everything will be taken from those who have nothing you are ones useless servants and you will be thrown into darkness where people will cry and grit their teeth in pain when the Son of Man comes in his glory with all his angels he will sit on his royal throne the people of all nations will be brought before him and he will He will separate as the shepherds separate the sheep from the goats, he will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left, then the king will say to those around him, my father has blessed you, come and receive the kingdom that was prepared for you before that the world was created when I was hungry you gave me food and when I was thirsty you gave me drink when I was a stranger you welcomed me and when I was naked you gave me clothes to wear when I was sick you took care of me and when I was in prison you visited me that those who please the Lord they will ask when we gave you food or drink when we did we welcomed you as a stranger or gave you clothes to wear or visited you while you were sick or in prison the king will answer every time you did it for any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you did it for me, then the king will do it. say to those on his left stay away from me you are under the curse of God go to the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels I was hungry but you gave me nothing to eat and I was thirsty but you gave me nothing to drink I was a stranger but you did not give me anything to drink you received and I was naked but you did not give me clothes to wear I was sick and in prison but you did not take care of me then the people will ask Lord when we failed to help you when you were hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, the king will tell them when you can't help any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seem, you didn't do it for me, then Jesus said those people will be punished forever but those who pleased God will have eternal life Matthew 26 when Jesus finished teach he told his disciples, you know that in two days it will be the Passover, which is when the Son of Man will be handed over to his enemies and they nailed the chief priests and the leaders of the nation to the cross at that time.
The house of Caiaphas, the high priest, planned how they could sneak in and arrest and execute Jesus, but they said we shouldn't do it during the Passover because the people would riot. Jesus was in the city of Bethany eating. A woman entered the house of Simon who had leprosy with a bottle of expensive perfume and poured it on Jesus' head, but when her disciples saw this they became angry and said why such a waste could we have sold this perfume for a lot of money. and he gave it to the poor jesus knew what they were thinking and said why are you bothering this woman she has done something beautiful for me you will always have the poor with you but you will not always have me she has poured perfume on my body to prepare it For the funeral, you can be sure that wherever the good news is told around the world, people will remember what she has done and tell it to others.
Judas Iscariot was one of the twelve disciples, he went to the chief priests and asked how much will you give me if I help you arrest Jesus? They paid Judas thirty pieces of silver and from then on he began to look for a good opportunity to betray Jesus on the first day of the Feast of Fine Bread. Jesus' disciples came to him and asked him where they were. you want us to prepare the Passover meal Jesus told them to go to a certain man in the city and tell him our teacher says my time has come I want to eat the Passover meal with my disciples in your house they did as Jesus told them and he prepared the food when Jesus was eating with his twelve disciples that night he said that one of you will surely hand me over to my enemies the disciples were very sad and each one said to Jesus surely Lord, you are not referring to me, responded one of you men who have eaten with me from this dish they will betray me the son of man will die as the scriptures say but it will be terrible for whoever betrays me that man would be better off if he had never been born Judis said teacher surely you are not referring to me, that is what you say, Jesus responded, but then Judas betrayed him during the meal.
Jesus took some bread in his hands, blessed the bread and broke it, then gave it to his disciples and said: take this and eat this. It is my body Jesus took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God then he gave it to his disciples and said take this and drink this is my blood and with it God makes his covenant with you it will be poured out so that many people will have their sins forgiven from now on I will NOT drink any wine until I drink new wine with you in my father's Kingdom then they sang a hymn and went out to the Mount of Olives Jesus said to his disciples during this very night you will all reject me as you say the Scriptures.
I will strike down the Shepherd and the sheep will be scattered but after I am resurrected I will go to Galilee before you. Peter spoke even if everyone else rejected them. I'll never do it. Jesus responded, I promise you that before the rooster crows tonight you will say three times that you don't know me, but Peter said, even if I have to die with you, I will never say that I don't know you. Everyone else said the same thing. Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane when they got there told them to sit here while I go there and pray.
Jesus took with him Peter and the two brothers James and John, he was very sad and worried and he said to them: I am so sad that I feel like I am dying, stay here and watch with me Jesus walked a little and then knelt with his face on the ground And he prayed, my father, if it is possible, do not make me suffer by having me. drink from this cup but do what you want and not what I want, he returned and found his disciples sleeping, then he said to Peter, can any of you not stay awake with me for just one hour, stay awake and pray that Do not be like that? tried you want to do the right thing but you are weak again Jesus went to pray and said my father if there is no other way and I must suffer I will still do what you want Jesus came back and found them sleeping again they just couldn't keep their eyes open he left them and did the same prayer once again finally Jesus returned to his disciples and said to them you are still sleeping and resting the time has come for the Son of man to be handed over to the sinners get up, come on the one who will betray me is already here Jesus was still speaking when Judas the traitor approached, he was one of the twelve disciples and a large crowd armed with swords and clubs was with him.
They had been sent by the chief priests that the leaders of the nation had told Judas in advance to arrest the man he greeted. with a kiss Judas walked towards Jesus and said hello pitcher then Judas kissed him Jesus replied my friend why are you here the men grabbed Jesus and arrested him one of Jesus' followers pulled out a sword hit the high priest's servant and cut his head ear but Jesus told him, keep your sword, he who lives by fighting will die fighting. Don't you know that I could ask my father and he would immediately send me more than twelve? armies of angels but then how could the words of Scripture that say this must happen come true?
Jesus told the crowd why do you come with swords and clubs to arrest me like a criminal day after day I said and I taught in the temple and you did not arrest me but all this happened so that what the prophets wrote all the disciples of Jesus would be fulfilled. They abandoned him and fled after they arrested Jesus. He was taken to the house of Caiaphas, the high priest. priest, went in and sat with the guards to see what was going to happen, the chief priests and the whole council wanted to kill Jesus, so they tried to find some people who would tell lies about him in court, but they couldn't find anyone Even though many came and told lies, in the end two men came up and said this man claimed that he would tear down the temple of God and build it again in three days.
The high priest stood up and asked Jesus why don't you say something? In your own defense you do not listen to the charges they make against you but Jesus did not respond so the high priest said with the Living God watching you must tell the truth tell us are you the Messiah the son of God that is what you say Jesus responded but I tell them All of you will soon see the Son of Man sitting on the right side of Almighty God and coming on the clouds of heaven. The high priest then tore his robe and said.
They responded, "He deserves to die," and they spit in his face and beat him with their fists. They slapped him and said, do you think you are the Messiah? Then tell us who hit you. While Peter was sitting in the courtyard, a servant approached him and told him that you were with Jesus of Galilee, but in front of everyone Peter said that's not the case, I don't know what you're talking about. When Peter had gone out to the door another servant saw him and told some people who were there this man was with Jesus of Nazareth again Peter denied it and this time he swore I don't even know that man a while later some people stood there he approached to Peter and said we know that you are one of them, we can tell because you speak like a Galilean.
Peter began to curse and swear, I don't know that man, at that moment a rooster crowed and Peter remembered that Jesus had said before the rooster crows you will say three times that you don't know me so Peter went out and cried a lot Matthew 27 early The next morning all the chief priests and leaders of the nation met and decided that Jesus should be executed and tied him up and took him to the governor Pilate. When Judas learned that Jesus had been sentenced to death, he repented of what he had done. In fact, he returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and leaders and said: I have sinned by betraying a man who has never done anything wrong, so what is your problem?
They responded that Judas threw the money into the temple and then went out and hanged himself. The chief priests collected the money and said that this money was paid to kill a man. We can't tell. In the Temple Treasury they then had a meeting and decided to buy a field that belonged to someone who made clay pots, they wanted to use it as a cemetery for foreigners, that's why people still call that place a field of blood, according to the words of the Prophet. Jeremiah came true, they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of one person among the people of Israel, they paid it for a potter's field, as the Lord had commanded me.
Jesus was brought before Pilate, the governor, who asked him, "Are you the King of the Jews?" Those are your words Jesus answered and when the chief priests and leaders presented their charges against him he said nothing Pilate asked him don't you hear what crimes they say you have committed but Jesus said nothing and the governor was very amazed during Pesach, the governor always released to a prisoner chosen by the people at that time, a known terrorist named Jesus Barabbas was in jail, so when the crowd gathered, Pilate asked them which prisoner they wanted him to release, do you want Jesus Barabbas or Jesus who is called the Messiah Pilate knew that the leaders had brought Jesus to him because they were jealous while Pilate was judging the case his wife sent him a message saying have nothing to do with that innocent man I have had nightmares because but the chief priests and leaders convinced to the crowd to ask that Barabbas be released and that Jesus be killed.
Pilate again asked the crowd which of these two men you want him to release. They answered Pilón asked them what I am. What to do with Jesus, who is called the Messiah, everyone was shouting to nail him to a cross, he answers, but what crime has he done by nailing him to a cross? They shout even louder. Pilate saw that he couldn't do anything and that the people were beginning to then he took some water and he washed his hands in front ofthem and said I will have nothing to do with killing this man you are the ones who do it they all responded we and our descendants will take the blame for his death Pilate said Barabbas free then ordered his soldiers to beat Jesus with a whip and nail him On a cross, the governor's soldiers took Jesus to the fortress and gathered the rest of the troops.
They took off Jesus' clothes and put a scarlet cloak on him. They made him a crown of thorn branches and put it on his head. stick in his right hand the soldiers knelt down and pretended to worship him they mocked him and shouted then they spit on him they took the stick from him and hit him on the head with it when the soldiers finished mocking Jesus they took off his cloak they put his own clothes on him and they took him to be nailed to a cross on the way they met a man from Cyrene II named Simon and they forced him to carry the cross of Jesus.
They arrived at a place called Golgotha, which means place of the skull. There they gave Jesus some wine mixed with a drug to relieve the pain, but when Jesus tasted what it was, he refused to drink it. The soldiers nailed Jesus. a cross and they bet to see who would keep his clothes then they sat down to guard him on top of his head they put a sign that said why it was nailed there it said this is Jesus the King of the Jews the soldiers also nailed two criminals to crosses one To the right of Jesus and the other to his left the people passing by said terrible things about Jesus, they shook their heads and shouted, You are the one who said that you could tear down the temple and build it again in three days if the Son of God came down from the cross the chief priests the leaders and the teachers of the law of Moses also mocked Jesus they said that he saved others but he cannot save himself if he is the king of Israel he should come down from the cross. cross then we will believe him he trusted in God so let God save him if He wants he even said that he was the Son of God the two criminals also said cruel things to Jesus at noon the sky became dark and stayed that way until three o'clock then At that moment Jesus screamed , which means OMG, OMG, why did you just hurt me?
Some of the people there hurt Jesus and said that he was calling for Elijah. One of them immediately ran and grabbed the sponge, soaked it in wine and then put it on. a stick and raised it to Jesus others said wait, let's see if Elijah comes and saves him once again Jesus screamed and then he died and once the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom, the earth shook and the rocks were split. The tombs were opened and many of God's people were resurrected. Then, after Jesus was resurrected, they came out of their tombs and went to the

city, where many people saw them.
The officer and soldiers guarding Jesus felt the earthquake and saw everything else. It happened that they were scared and said that this man really was the Son of God. Many women were watching from afar. They had come with Jesus from Galilee to help him. Mary Magdalene Mary the mother of James and Joseph and the mother of James and John were Some of these women that afternoon a rich disciple named Joseph from the town of Arimathea went and asked for the body of Jesus. Pilate ordered it to be given to Joseph, who took the body and wrapped it in a clean sheet and then Joseph put the body in his own tomb which had been carved out of solid rock and had never been used, he rolled a large stone against the entrance of the tomb and left all this time Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were sitting in front of the tomb the next day, which was One Sabbath the chief priests and the Pharisees went together to Pilate and said to him sir, we remember what that said liar while he was still alive, he claimed that in three days he would return from the dead, so please order that the tomb be carefully guarded for three days.
If you don't, his disciples can come and steal his body, they will tell the people that he has risen and this last lie will be worse than the first one that Pilate told them. Very well, take some of your soldiers and guard the tomb as well as you know how so that he sealed it hermetically and placed soldiers there to guard it Matthew 28 The Sabbath was over and it was almost dawn on Sunday when Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the grave suddenly there was a strong earthquake and the angel of the Lord descended from heaven and rolled.
He moved the stone away and sat on it. The angel looked as bright as lightning and his clothes were white as snow. The guard trembled with fear and fell as if they were dead. The angel said to the women, don't be afraid. Jesus who was nailed to the cross is not here God has resurrected him just as Jesus said he would come to see the place where his body lay now hurry up tell his disciples that he has risen and is on his way to Galilee go there and they will see it that is What I came to tell them, the women were scared and yet very happy as they hurried out of the tomb and ran to tell his disciples, suddenly Jesus found them and greeted them, they approached him supported, he stood up and worshiped him, Jesus He said, do not be afraid, tell my followers to go to Galilee, there they will see me.
While the women were on their way, some soldiers who had been guarding the tomb entered the city. They told the chief priests everything that had happened then. The priests met with the leaders and decided to bribe the soldiers with a lot of money. They told the soldiers, tell everyone that Jesus' disciples came during the night and stole his body while he was sleeping. If the governor finds out about this, we will talk to him. No. you will have nothing to worry about the soldiers took the money and did what they were told the Jewish people still tell this story the eleven disciples of Jesus went to a mountain in Galilee where Jesus had told them to find him, they saw him and worshiped him, but some of them doubted.
Jesus came to them and said, "You have given me all authority in heaven and on earth, go to the people of all nations and have my disciples baptize you in the name." of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and teach them to do everything I have told you. I will always be with you until the end of the world.
