Henry U.S. Survival Kit

Jun 10, 2021
Hello friends, this is the USA

survival

kit made by Henry repeat weapons and we are going to check it out right now in Kit Bashed Survival. I bought this for 120 on the Henry Repeat Firearms website, so not a cheap kit, but again, good kits. They are never cheap and I have a feeling this is going to be a pretty good kit now, on the outside it looks like a best glide asc kit because best glide uses these exact same cans. In fact, I wonder if best glide just made these cans. for

henry

and we'll see if there's any other best glide brand stuff once we open this up, I have a feeling there will be and just as a refresher, here's the best

survival

kit for advanced adventurers from best asc glide and as you can See, they are using exactly the same can and, by the way, this is a fantastic survival kit.

If you want to see what's inside, I already did a review in a previous video. I'll put a link to that video in the description of this video. so like in the top right corner of this video right now, let's go ahead and open up the Henry Us Survival Kit and see what's inside, so keeping the lid down we have these clamps with these rubber pieces on top and hold it down nice and secure and when you attach those clamps with this rubber gasket on the bottom you get a nice tight seal and that's it, so let's see what we have right off the bat, we have a six inch glow stick, light green, duration of 12 hours, then we have this big bag which is under this blanket so we're going to take that out first so we have a space brand emergency blanket, cool it's gold and then I have this big bag which is the rest of the kit and oh yeah, just as I thought I'd check out Best Glide, I had a feeling something else in this kit would be from Best Glide.

More Interesting Facts About,

henry u s survival kit...

I wonder if Best Glide builds these for Henry or if they just supply the materials and then Henry packages them up, I don't know, it looks like there's a lot of stuff inside so first we have a light sail, this one looks like it's made of beeswax, so Which is always good, we have some survival instructions. I'm willing to bet these are virtually identical to the ones included in most of the best slide kits. We have a tube. Okay, let's check that out. We have a tube. You could use it as a drinking straw. I guess or like a really good tourniquet, so we have a light, this one looks a little different than the ones I've seen before, maybe this isn't all made with Best Glide, let's see what the Freedom x-lite micro made in USA is.

I haven't seen this type of white before. I've seen this size of white before and this kind of thing like, you know, with an LED and a battery, but this configuration, this shape, I haven't seen before. Oh, that's good, it has a oomph. button action on off that's good there's no switch or anything I like it very well we have some cord I'm not going to remove this but there is a good part and it seems to be pretty good quality I mean It's not 550 paracord but It seems to be good quality if I had to guess it's probably 275 paracord.

We have a sewing kit so we have several safety pins, a thread, a couple of needles, a button, a thimble, yeah not bad. I have an Acme whistle made in England. These are pretty good. What is this and how do I just open it? Well, we have a kind of multi-tool. Oh, this is the mini master by cutting master. I've seen these before, I can't remember what kit I've seen this in, maybe it was the best slip kit, I can't remember, it's not bad, I mean it has a file, a nail cleaner and some scissors, look what else has a head Phillips.
The screwdriver looks like a flat head screwdriver, we have a little chisel and some pliers and then we have a bottle opener there and some hex wrenches here and a ruler for centimeters on this side and inches on this side, oh and the ruler goes down too this way. that's great so we have four inches on that side and about 11 centimeters on the other side and it also has a little key ring. It's great, not bad at all, next we have a ferro rod and striker and I've seen this type before pretty good, there's the ferro rod and there's the striker oh yeah, it's good, we have some tender cotton pieces, it looks like Ten of them were put with a thick ferro rod and the front one we have a generous amount of brass wire to make a trap or repair equipment and things like that, we have a Fresnel lens to start a fire, better glide and then we have a mirror signal, I'm not going to remove it but I've seen them before, I think they're in the best slide kits too, in fact I know they are, we have a razor, a derma safe razor, there it is, let's see we have a compass you know this is a pretty good kit I mean we're only halfway through I really like this kit there it is and it's accurate another better glide item yeah I think they borrowed a lot from better slip, since we probably have a ziploc bag to carry this equipment if you decide to use the can to boil water or cook food and what we have here is this: a water bag that looks like a zip-top map bag, it is a bag to leak test, okay, interesting, okay, I'm going to change.
In my opinion, I think this could be for transporting water perhaps and this is for transporting equipment that is pretty good made in the USA. We have a Melitta coffee filter to filter sediment from the water and then here we have our purification material of water and this. It's that chloroflow water purification powder that Best Glide uses in a lot of their kits, so yeah, I think most of this stuff probably comes from Best Glide, if not all. My only question is if Best Glide includes these things for Henry or if Henry has them. the packaging and they only get the best glide stuff we have some duct tape we have a roll of gauze a compact emergency signal panel which is great made in USA I've seen them before in Essie survival kits where they have a signal orange tape so this is it except it's bigger again the best slide looks like some Yuko Storm matches yeah it's always good to have 10 of them and then here's our fishing kit which I'm It sure is the best basic slip fishing kit, yes I have some fishing line. a fishing lure, several hooks, several weights and also there is a moisture absorbing package in there and we have a wire saw made in the USA that is good and then we have a gauze and finally we have another moisture absorbing package and then we have this bag so here's all the gear from the

henry

us survival kit and I'm going to come out and say it.
I think this is a great kit and I would like to thank you all for suggesting. Now, I'm sure some people are going to badmouth this kit. They always do it. They are going to complain about the price. They're going to say they could build the same kit for five dollars. They are going to complain. about the quality of the components or the fact that the kit doesn't have x y or z and that's fine, I don't care. I've reviewed enough survival kits on this channel and I certainly have enough kits in my collection where I can.
I think I'm a good judge of survival kits and this is a good kit, obviously it's not perfect, there really is no such thing as a perfect survival kit. because it's impossible to anticipate every scenario you might find yourself in in a survival situation and if you do, you start to anticipate everything well and then you start to get into the territory of really big survival bags, but for a survival kit Relatively compact, this is really good and I would have a lot of confidence taking it out into the field, either to test it or to have it in a backpack. or a go bag or whatever, and by the way, I've gotten a lot of messages from you guys asking if I ever plan on taking some of these kits that I build and review out into the field. tests and the answer to that question is definitely yes.
I would like to do a video or series of videos where I take these kits out into the field, whether for 24 hours or just overnight, and see how they work now. It's just a matter of logistics to find the time to do it because it's one thing to set aside a couple of hours to review one of these kits and it's another thing to set aside an entire weekend to try one of these kits because it's not just about taking it out and try it out but also bring all the camera gear, batteries and such, but I plan on doing that at some point in the future even if it just means taking one of these kits out to my backyard for the night because I've reviewed a lot of kits survival kit on this channel and because I have many more in my collection that you haven't seen yet, it means that when I see a survival kit I see a lot of repeats because a lot of the same equipment appears in kit after kit, which is not a Lo bad thing is that it just happens because many of these kits share the same equipment, especially in the same brand, so you know that with the best asc slide kit you will see the best slide fresnel lenses or klorfak water purification powders, the best glide fishing.
Kit things like those yuko storm matches are ubiquitous, they are in all kinds of survival kits because they are nice to have, so at this point I start looking for things that are unique that catch my eye and for me there were a few things that What stood out in this kit, first of all, is the storage capabilities: you already have the can that can store equipment, boil water and cook food or whatever, but then you have three bags, which is great. I have two large ziploc bags and that ziploc waterproof bag, so if it were me I would probably use one of the ziploc bags to store water, maybe use the other one to store water or store gear and then the ziploc bag could hold the gear. there or a cell phone or a map or anything else you want to make sure it stays dry.
Another standout item is the large orange signal blanket. I've seen orange signal tape in kits before, but I've never seen anything this big. That's cool, plus you don't usually see rubber tubes in survival kits every once in a while you will, but it's still pretty rare so it's cool that they have it in this kit. Also, the space blanket is interesting because it is gold instead of silver and finally the micro x light flashlight. Now it's nothing special, it's just a flashlight, but as far as I can remember I've never seen a micro x-lite in a kit before, so that caught my eye too anyway.
Although this kit is pretty good as is before I repackage it, I want to add a few more items just to make it much better so the first thing I'm going to add is a knife, this is a $283 nano bantam and it's just a small one. locking blade knife made by Buck, made in the USA, it has plastic scales and that Buck 420 steel, and they are pretty inexpensive, about 15 to 20 dollars, and it will work fine, so there we go next. I will add a large mini. lighter to enhance the fire making capabilities of this kit and finally I will be adding some additional medical supplies to this kit and just to do something different this time I used my new vacuum sealer to vacuum seal these medical supplies so inside I have an antibiotic ointment and a hand sanitizer, two alcohol wipes, two regular band-aids and one large band-aid, and then I have some medications, two imodiums, four benadryls, four ibuprofens and two diclofenacs, which is an anti-inflammatory, so with that let's go ahead and repackage this kit do it right there you have it the Henry US survival kit made by Henry repeating arms and enhanced a little by me like I said this is a cool little kit and I.
I'd like to thank you once again for recommending watching it anyway. I hope you enjoyed this video. Let me know what you think in the comments below for now. That's all. I'm Eric Siegel. This is kit-based survival. Thanks for watching. I will see you next time
