I want to show you this bad boy, this is the number one Acura NSX of this model year, they have it here on consignment, but I mean a super super clean car, I'm actually a big fan of the Acura NSX, this is the original. nsx and uh, they also have a lot of other really cool stuff here, you can see they have the black Shelby, there's all kinds of stuff, it's really windy here today guys, so if you like hurricanes, boom, there you go. makes a more interesting comparison to the c8, they have a couple of those sitting here and as we jump to the showroom here they also have a lot of good stuff here.

More Interesting Facts About,

hellcat redeye vs gt500 which is really the better car to own...

I love this dealership guys. I can see we have Hellcats here, they have a couple of Hellcats, they have another Shelby in red with the track package and of course a zl1 1le

which

I love, this is a very fun car to drive. You guys have also seen this on my channel before, so behind me I have the two cars that I really wanted to show you and compare, as you can see here. I have the 2020 Shelby Mustang and of course here it is. That's a 2020 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye and now the comparison between these two things is that they are very different cars, but it's actually a great comparison when you look at the type of weight, the horsepower numbers and the torque.
hellcat redeye vs gt500 which is really the better car to own
That, so let's get into that, first of all we're talking about two vehicles that as I mentioned are very different of course this one is gold

which

is not a factory color in case you're curious you can see That this. The vehicle was actually originally white, so, but this is a Dodge Challenger Hellcat Red Eye and I'll show you the Red Eye, which just so you have it there, there you go, so you're talking about 797 horsepower in this one. beast and 707 lbs. feet of torque as we jump into the Shelby Mustang, what a beautiful engine in this vehicle. 5.2 liter supercharged engine that makes 760 horsepower and 625 pound-feet of torque in this beast and, uh, it's like a piece of art down here, so you can see it while They're both supercharged, they look a little different .

Just take a look at the top of the engine as we know this engine is sorry. This blower is actually larger than the regular Hellcat blower. This is a 2.7 liter. supercharger versus the 2-4 that comes on the standard cap. I want to make a couple of distinctions when it comes to this motor, they call it the predator, it actually has the same displacement as the motor in the 350, of course this is a cross plane crank motor versus a flat crank motor crossover like in the voodoo you'll find on the 350. Of course, this one is designed for boosting, so you've got forged internals on this thing and it's very well put together. engine and as we jump to the

hellcat

here you have a little bit of a different setup, you're looking at a pushrod engine, this one of course is also made for boosting, it's got a pretty solid engine, very robust, but both.
Many of these cars are really designed for big horsepower and of course the most important feature on this particular car is the hood strut. Yes, you now have a hood strut on the Shelby GT500, whereas before, whether it was the 350 or the Coyote, yeah, that didn't happen. So the most important feature of this car is, of course, that. So let's talk a little bit about the interior of the new GT500, as you can see you have the suede wrapped steering wheel, which has a very sharp flat bottom. Here you have the Recaro Racing. The seats, of course, with the cobra emblem on the back, are really very sharp and these things really hug you and of course you have the drive mode selector here, right in the center.
I will mention that this vehicle has dual clutch, so we'll talk a little more about that later, but it's cool, as you can see, this actually has a very familiar look. If you know mustangs, you can see those paddles at the bottom and of course you have the central infotainment screen. We've got your gauges here, a nice place to sit and one of the coolest things, of course, you've got your little plaque on the dash here, with your individual chassis number on it, so it's a really nice place to sit now when you're talking about the back seat as with all mustangs they're pretty small but they're back there and they're kind of functional now the trunk space on this vehicle is pretty adequate I mean of course you've got your uh you've got your box obviously the new one owner would receive it. that and then of course they already have a couple of boxes here, but I will say that the trunk space here is pretty adequate for a car with this kind of horsepower.
You can see the exhaust pipes on this beast, man. The tips on this thing are pretty big for a stock car saw, so they're pretty sharp. Now we'll take a quick look inside the Challenger Hellcat Red Eye for many of you who follow my channel. They know, obviously, what I have. There's a lot of Mopar content and this may be familiar territory for you, but once again you're looking at a flat-bottom suede steering wheel, like on the Shelby. You've got your central drive mode selector there, of course you do. its central infotainment screen here and, as with all challengers, it's very driver-focused, meaning the dashboard actually wraps towards the driver, which is actually different to what it is in the Shelby, so the seating position on this one is very different, again, it's got some really good gauges here, they're red and tone and we'll turn them on and take a look at them, but the back seat on this one is actually looks a little different so obviously you have your srt hellcat seats here these seats have a different feel of course you have leather with your interior here which has more of a suede feel but I will say these seats are definitely larger it's a very comfortable and luxurious seat.
This car, so it doesn't hug you as much as the Shelby does when we look at the back seats here. These rear seats are actually a little larger than in the Shelby and are actually quite comfortable as well. but this is actually a bigger car, so there's something to think about. I just want to mention real quick that these wheels are actually the original wide body red eye wheels, of course these have been painted gold so they will surely look different if you're not a fan of gold this one will probably it wouldn't be the car for you of course the wrap will come off but with the wide body you get a pretty wide tire you get a 305 wide tire on all four corners I want to just mention that now the trunk on the red eye is inside all the challengers um I mean it's a pretty decent sized trunk, it's probably equivalent to what you'd get in the mustang, you certainly have enough room in here to put anything you need.
For at least a small road trip and it's definitely usable space, so it's definitely comparable to the Mustang. I want to take just a second and show you what the seating position is like in the Challenger Hellcat Red Eye and of course as I mentioned it's driver focused here. There's actually quite a bit of room in this car for a car that basically makes 800 horsepower. In fact, I'm going to go ahead and start this real quick so you can see what it looks like. Very cool, you can see the red eye of the Hellcat there, you can see the very good view of the gauges and the central infotainment screen here is also very nice now that I'm on board the red eye of the Hellcat challenger and it's a very nice place. familiar to sit.
We know that I not only have a Challenger Scat Pack but also a Charger Hellcat, so the seats are basically identical to what I'm used to, I will say, although I mean this car has such a nice ride, I mean, while you're driving. just hanging out essentially, you'd never really know this car makes the power it makes, it doesn't really feel overly aggressive, the visibility is actually pretty decent in this car and, you know, you've got your drive mode selector here so you can really select anything from your valet to your 500 horsepower mode all the way up to 797 horsepower and then of course you can select your street uh you can select your sport or track so a lot of cool stuff and of course this particular car.
You get some really useful track features, as well as a couple more key points about the red-eye version when comparing it to the regular Hellcat. Obviously I mentioned it has a larger blower, but it actually has beefier internal parts as well. Basically the same engine you'll get in the Challenger Demon which, as we know when it came out, was the fastest quarter-mile production car in the world, so if you're someone who likes to modify their vehicle, the red eye is In fact. really cool because it will hold more boost, it's just a very robust engine in this car and because it has a bigger fan, when you step on it you definitely feel it, this car really is a very good driving car, it has a great sound but really the most important thing about this car is that even with the 305's in the back when you go to hammer listen to that wow I always love the sound of a hellcat and just hearing that blower under the hood the hellcat It has one of the loudest superchargers on the market in terms of a factory car, so you really get used to hearing that fan underneath and it's pretty addictive.
The Challenger Hellcat Redeye is one of those cars that just doesn't apologize for what it is, I mean. It's a 4,500-pound muscle car, much like the tire-shredding power in your face, um, but when you're cornering and stuff, it feels capable, but it doesn't necessarily feel agile, I would say, but at the end of the day is One of those cars that puts a big smile on your face when you drive it. It's hard not to smile when you drive this and hear the supercharger and know that at any moment you can use those 305 wide tires. and just grind them all day um, it's a very fun car to own and drive.
I will say that gold isn't really my style, but I guess for someone it not only was, but for someone else it probably is, but One thing about this car that is my style is the power. Here we have the interior of the Shelby GT500, as you can see, it has that distinctive cobra. This is more of a neutral driving experience compared to the challenger, as you can see. it's still a really nice place to sit fit and finish in this car it's pretty solid the recaro seats drive mode selector um of course you have your paddles here for your different exhaust modes actually let me show you um I'm going to start the car for you and let you hear the different exhaust modes and show you the different drive modes, I'll say it when you start up, uh, this thing is actually louder than the Hellcat, which is a little surprising, but that's the exhaust. in this really sounds cool and as you can see, we can go down here, we can change the escape mode, so that's what I'm going to use and I'll show you here, but we can actually change this from normal. we can go to sports and then of course we can go up so I have to press ok because he wants me to verify that I'm not going to wake up the neighbors and that there is a track so when you're on the track and you're actually getting on it , uh, this car actually sounds really loud and of course if you go into the driving modes that are right next to it here, let me show you what happens when you actually go into the different driving modes, it's normal, there's my so that's pretty cool because you can set it up custom and then of course you can jump up here to sport and then things change a little bit as you can see there and then once again if you jump up to follow mode eh.
I also get a different look overall, so look what happens when you hit the track, there you go, you've got a nice rev counter there and a completely different look still, so there's a lot of technology sorted into the Shelby now. I'm actually aboard the Shelby GT500 and what a different feeling this car is. I have driven the 2013 and 2014 Shelby many times, of course it is a manual car and, as we know, this with dual clutch. It really changes sharp and fast. You have all your drive mode selections like I showed you before and it's just a car that feels different, very different than the Hellcat when you go to hand in this car.
It is not like this. It feels very different, it definitely feels ready, maybe it feels a little bit lighter on its feet than the red eye, but also you can definitely feel very, very comfortable when you drive this car because even though the seats hug you really comfortably . I have to admit, the ride is pretty good now that if you're a bigger guy, you have more height. I will mention that the recaro seats are quite comfortable in terms of the way they cling to you, a completely different feeling than in the hellcat the hellcat seats are big and plush uh these seats really bolster you which I really like, I I like an aggressive feeling seat because it still has a little bit of give, it's still a little soft, but it's definitely different.
Feel it and if you're above, say six, two or six three, I could see how this car would feel pretty tight, whereas in the Hellcat, as we know, Hellcats are pretty roomy, so there's a different difference, definitely, I'll say that when you go. to take off in this car, uh, it gets going, although it definitely doesn't disappoint, you can definitely feel the car fighting for traction, um and uh, it's a nice fight, so when you drive this, I have to say the feeling. the acceleration is a little different, yeah it will still shred the tires, you don't feel it as immediate, just bam that immediate torque like you do on the hellcat, this one has more of a build feel to it, um the power is a little bit.
A little more linear in this car, but you can definitely feel it doing it. It doesn't feel light on power, it just feels different in terms of the way the power is generated. I will say that the exhaust on this thing really creaks and pops a lot. like the deceleration, uh, much more noticeable than in the Hellcat, but the fan sounds so different in this car that it makes more of a hiss, while in the Hellcat it's more of a whine, they're just two completely different sounds, it's a crazy to hear it. this engine sounds so good it's really very nice this car is fun to drive what a fun car to drive the shelby gt 500 and it's just different from the hellcat um but it really makes you smile the same way but it's just a different driving experience , so I'm actually a big fan of both cars, but for different reasons I really enjoyed this review.
Both cars are very fast and put a big smile on your face. I have to give a big thank you to my friends here at Hearst Autoplex, as always they let me come and check out these amazing cars. Both cars are for sale here, so you can give these guys a call. You can find their information in the description below.
