halsey probably hall c oh god just a couple of weeks ago halsey launched her new brand her new makeup brand called about cara and As soon as the news broke, you guys bombarded me with questions about whether I was going to do a

review

or first impressions or even a

collab

oration with her and I was very honored when a couple of days after the news broke this arrived in the mail. a huge box that says about the

face

and has Halsey's

face

on it and oh my gosh there's a lot of products in this release in the big PR box thank you so much for sending it to Halsey um it was three drawers and this is a drawer ooh this is a drawer a pleasure oh and we have this oh so many products so many of you want to know my opinion about these products if I like them or not, if I would recommend them or not and uh by the way, thank you very much for your trust and for want to hear my opinion on all of this so today I did my foundation, I did my eyebrows and now it's time to dive into about face, in the PR box there are three drawers of there's a lot of makeup and there's a lot going on and one of the first things that really caught my attention was the fact that there is no powder eyeshadow in this launch there is something for the eyes there is something for the lips there are products for the cheeks um there are crayons but there is nothing as far as eyeshadows, which is really interesting to me, because I'm an eyeshadow salon.

I love powders in large quantities at once, all day, every day. Now I pride myself on knowing how to kill a powder product, cream products. however, sadly I am not a distant cousin of the late bob ross I am not nikki ross in any way um um I need powders all products are vegan cruelty free and formulated without gluten full artists parabens or synthetic fragrances we have the matte eye paint fluid in a world where literally every packaging has been done this excites me so much this is exciting packaging for me these are the six colors the six matte fluid eye paints says a one-swipe eye paint that delivers a punch of color with a smooth finish that doesn't budge or smudge oh this right here oh we would love to see it as a matte braid that literally looks dull smells like nothing okay can't wait to try these are so many products for a first launch is crazy for me okay, they have a budget they have money for this launch we have the shadow bars that come in five can I count on this? says an ultra versatile eyeshadow stick with staying power in a stunning range of matte and pearlescent shades now let's play, I think the first products I want to use are the eye paints because they really intrigue me and I've seen a couple of videos of Halsey did on her own channel using these products and it looked very artistic and she was mixing the colors on the back of her hand because she's a painter and I find it really nice so I thought I was going to have a lot of fun with that too.

I definitely want to try to do it. a dented eye on one side and maybe a more artistic painted eye on the other side, like Halsey did in her video. Usually now would be the time she would go. I'm using my P Louise primer to prep my lids for all the shadows. but they say they are better smudge-proof and smudge-proof, so I'm not going to use a primer on my eyes today, which is stressful to say the least. The first eye paint I will grab is pink. and it's called dionisio and i'm going to put it on the back of my hand and it's like a nice dark grayish pink and then with a brush i pick it up i'm afraid of never doing this and this is going to the crease, this scares me, okay, I never play with cream products like this, they are incredibly soft, have a super light texture and are very blendable.

I hope you can really give them that pop of color even after or while you're blending them by starting to blend the edges it's blending well I mean it's not blending like a powder shadow but that's because it's not and I want to address This with a completely open mind, cream products are my thing. no, but I want to give it a try and see if I can make it work with my techniques now. If you love cream products, you'll probably be head over heels in love with this launch. I don't think cream products are like that. most people gravitate towards me I could be wrong so it will be interesting to see where Halsey will be in the market, if she will only do creams, if she will venture into powders at some point, it's very interesting to me.

I like the movement of her and I like that she shows guts. It takes guts to come up with something new in this industry and to really like fighting for it and the fact that she is fighting for this movement like cream. I respect that, so I'm currently going. with my second coat and it's definitely building up quite a bit, it's giving a nice smooth finish, not everywhere I have to work a little harder and I think the thing that scares me the most is that there's no base. Underneath all of this, in my head it's like I'm going to put all this effort and love into it and then in 10 minutes it's going to move because I'm going to wrinkle, but it says smudge and wiggle proof so let's see.

I'm going to take a clean brush to really polish the edges, but I think it's time to move on before I go crazy with this part. Well now I have this dark chocolate brown, this is called cloned and I want to see if I can build it. this on the outside corner so that there is a nice smoked outside corner. I feel very creative putting it on the back of my hand like I'm playing with it mixing it. Oh, that's a really nice one, it's a rich honey that has so much pigment. It's such a lovely warm chocolate color which is nice but how will it blend?

Now I'm going to wipe the brush with a towel and then drag the edges and leave it nice and smooth, hopefully oh oh, that's oh. Oh, are we doing something? I have one of these shadow sticks here, this is the pinky one, it's called Barack and I think I want this on the lid, so let's see how it applies. I'm hoping for a little more bar shadow, I think maybe. These are going to be great on the waterline because I feel like they'll have really good adhesion there and stay on the lid. I feel like if you're going to make that move and go for like an all-cream product, that's different than paint, personally I would have liked a little more shine, something to make me go a little bit more, but that's just me and it's because I'm horny for anything that glitters, but you know what I mean?

I feel like it's pretty. color, but I could have gotten that highlighted color with that first pinky color anyway, like it was a little lackluster for me, it could have been a little more, you know, I can't help it. I am addicted to powders. I saw this highlighted. you know, the highlight, this is the pinky called smother, I mean, would it really be that bad if I put it on top of that shadow bar and made it come to life? Because, honey, this is so much more interesting to me, oh, that's it. pretty, oh I'm so sorry, I need to appear in a shadow somewhere, I can't help it, who am I kidding, as you all know, I needed that part, I needed that little extra push towards the bright sky, so I wanted put this as gold. on the inside corner, but now that I saw that the sticks aren't as chrome, I'm not sure if that should be my next step.

I'm going to see if there's one more highlighter, right? Oh yeah, I'm just going to put it. this in the inner corner why not dig it yes it's okay for the lower lash line this dark navy blue it's like i dare ah that's a pretty color underneath honey oh my god she's pretty that's a gorgeous blue oh now my eyes always under it always creases so it will be interesting to see how this product will hold up wait you are not half as blue as you think so these paints dry down they definitely dry out but I feel like you have enough time for you to like something like that. play with them and move them and give them space, but once they're ready, they feel like they're ready, like they're not going anywhere, congratulations mommy on being halsey, uh, we've got pink on top, blue on the bottom and if the baby is somewhere in between welcome to the rainbow family honey I feel like an artist doing this like picking up a little product and doing a nice little action of hello hello we're here for it I'm taking a crazy time liner brush and I'm picking up that white and I'm just going to create a triple wing action okay so this is what the eye looks like with the eye paints blended like a smoky eye and then used under the eye as well and Even as a winged liner, that white one is included in my daily kit.

I love a good, strong white eyeliner that is pigmented and doesn't crack and so far it seems to be a great competitor to many other white eyeliners I own. pop lash I'll probably put a couple rhinestones on it because I want to feel that shine, honey, and then we're going to do a more creative artistic look, you know, painted look on the other side, I'll be right back, okay, so now we know and we see what. About Face products work and look once I use them in my technique and in my own way, but I also wanted to save this eye to do it in a truly Halsey way.

She put a lot of paints on the back of her hand and I picked it up with a brush and started doing it and I haven't felt this free with my makeup in a while so let's see if I still have it on me. I'm going to do the green, which is such a unique green. tone that is such a pretty color and for me to say that about a green tells you more than enough and maybe before you go all out and give it a little more structure nikki, I'm taking this kind of cool toned neutral color that is call smell before it rains and builds the slightest structure here on that inner part because you know I need that kind of inner part here, the front part of my forehead, to highlight with color, okay, let's go crazy, I don't care if has these. like brushstrokes because I feel like that will make it more artistic in the end, then I drink the green drink that I wanted to drink, honey, there you go, is it alcoholic?

It's like we're really picasso, baby, I got this shade. stick it in that bright blue. I'm also using it on the waterline on this other eye to see how it wears and this one is the creature color and that bad boy goes in the center. I have this copper shade in the color. hell, let's take some of the black shadow stick even more depth here and now let's take this funky lime type color and then with the white eye paint he added highlights and once he did that, it became artistic like heaven, God Mine, I think if you have a makeup style that you really love to play around with and create artistic, painted-on looks.

These products are perfect for that, but it's great to see that you can do that, but also create like your typical Nikki Glam. I'm going to pop the eyelashes. Now I'm back, it's time to dive into these cheek and lip products and before I do, I'm going to quickly contour my nose and bronze my complexion because this launch didn't have bronzer, we're going to apply a quick touch of blush. and I definitely want more blush on this artistic side where I really like to let everything out and now we can play with the face highlighters. I put the pink on the lid here and I really like the color of it, so I'm I'm going to pick it up and put it on the cheek, okay, it's very soft, okay, oh, it's a pretty pretty highlight, it's very buildable, so it's not like the first drop on the skin and it's like Kapow chrome cheeks so if you want a soft feather of shine, I could totally do that and then if you really put it on, this is where it's at mom, it doesn't exaggerate too much my texture, so it's a good center of the forehead to make me nice and shiny, and also I still have this fluid.

Now I'm not sure if this will work on top of said skin or powder skin, so I'm going to put it like here, we're just going to put a little bit of glitter on it, yeah honey, you know it won't. I have collarbones, but if I stick them out enough, I somehow have them. I'm going to take that eye paint again and just add a couple of similar contour strokes. Yeah, oh yeah, let's move on to the lip. I want to do a nice little artsy ombre again and I think the main color will be this one, it's called so long summer, but first I'm going to line because I'm really excited to try these liners and this one.

It's called crazy oh those are good oh these are good lip liners these are super super pigmented they apply very very quickly oh oh that's a lot darker than I thought it was going to be see that cap and then what's on my lips oh I wasn't expecting such an opaque product, it also feels quite thin on the lips, they don't feel dry, they are very easy to apply and are very thin, it doesn't exaggerate any fine lines on my mouth, it's like it's a really pretty, like the usual liquid lip, I mean, I have this very dark color and it's already quite dark, but I guess inside it will be even darker, but let's see, oh yeah, okay, oh, this is a good color, it's pretty though , there is also a slight hint of mint here, like I feel a cool breeze on my lips.

I can smell it too. I find that the more you play with it, it becomes clearer what you're working on. That tells me you don't have all the time in the world to play.with this and definitely two colors applied on top of each other feel a little bit drier, which you know, of course, it's going to feel drier, but they're super matte and they last but certainly not least, let's play with the setting spray. It definitely takes some getting used to holding the product this way and spraying it with your thumb, but once you get the hang of it, it's a really cute packaging idea. not the most practical, but it is fun and fun matters, okay, fun matters, time for my final thoughts.

I think first and foremost she deserves so much respect for launching a new type of product range that would be very easy for her. with these types of products easier for people to fall in love faster, so the fact that she stayed true to herself because she is a painter and she put out similar products that make her think about painting, I think it's very, very applaudable. and I feel like any celebrity that's going to launch a brand has to make their story up close and personal and I think it's so respectable the fact that she was able to create this eye with just cream products it's crazy and there's not a crease to the view, which tells me that these can be great bases for eyeshadows as well as the paints, so by that I mean the eye paints are amazing and I am so impressed with them and I really thought I was going to hate them knowing that these products exist.

It tickles my inner makeup lover to try new things, so I think it's amazing and if makeup can challenge you to try something new, I think the stick shadows I use are so worth it. I don't like them too much on the cover because I love having that moment of power, although there are a lot of friends happening here, I think I'm going to go with these a lot for the water line because I brought in the blue. Here I put the target there and they seem to be really holding up their Jesus base. Liquid highlighters are fun, but I feel like there are a lot of liquid highlighters on the market already.

I don't feel like there's anything new about them. The same happens. Highlighter stick is not my strong suit, so I'm not going to talk about that. If I were someone who used cream or liquid highlighter every day of my life, I would have an opinion on this, but I don't use it. That's enough for me to have a strong opinion on it, so I'll move on now. The powder highlights are really pretty, they're super, super soft and beginner friendly because you can really build them up. If you apply them lightly, they give like a super sheer kind of glow, but if you build them up, you can glow.

Baby glitter. I don't like the packaging. I love new, innovative and innovative packaging. I love new ways to create packaging, but this is very difficult to open. I can't believe it so I don't like the packaging. I love the texture. Is it revolutionary? No. Is it innovative? No. I feel like this is the best highlighter on the market and you should run out and order it right now. No, not really, but it's nice. I'm a fan of lipsticks, they're super creamy, intensely pigmented and just glide on. It's like the slightest touch in your movement, so I really like them.

I enjoyed playing with this now the liquid lips are a true classic matte liquid lip. They are some of the most matte ones I've tried in recent months. They are super pigmented. They apply very easily, but as you saw in the video. When you start layering them, I feel like it's breaking up the product underneath and making it a little more sheer. One small minor point is that the color of the cap doesn't really match the inside and I'm a person who might like the hate. That's where I think Face can create a nice little corner in this market where they could really be themselves and launch really new revolutionary products like paints.

I want to see more of this. I want to see more new ideas like these. It is a kind of challenge to your creativity and a challenge to play and if there is a product that I could recommend it is eye paints and especially the white one and I also really like the blue one.
