I don't think I've had a fried egg since I was in Bhutan and I love fried eggs. I'll take one of these. in these pancakes there are onions here and maybe tomatoes, well, this is very, very nice, I'll leave it down there, okay, and then this looks like maybe some kind of sautéed cabbage, maybe cabbage and onion, okay, mom He said let's add some of the butter to that pancake so it will taste a little good, this is what I tried first. I think it's buckwheat with a very earthy flavor. The consistency is like a clip, but like a filling, very, very thick.
I think this would taste good. with a little AZ, I'm going to dive into it just like that with this mmm oh oh, that Asia is amazing, there's some kind of very sour fruit there, I don't know what it is, maybe it almost tastes like mango, sour like sour mango I'm going to move on to my egg egg with a little bit of this sauce oh and mixing in some of that cabbage too even the cabbage is so good again it's cooked with ginger and then maybe sautéed maybe in butter um the flavor is so good and then that chili sauce is incredibly good mmm it's so good and so comforting and it goes with butter too.
I love that kind of tomato and chili garnish so I asked mom what's in it, there's definitely some kind of fruit that tastes like persimmon oh okay oh this is it and this is a fruit that I saw in the market but I had no idea what it was and I still have no idea what it is but it's this one but it's beautiful it's like a cross between a mango and a persimmon but it's nice and really bitter oh that's a beautiful thing we're walking again this time walking down the hillside of the mountain but we are trying to get there it seems like there is another monastery on that side so we could head in that direction my time hello hello we arrived here at OK I think it is another monastery but it is extremely quiet I don't even know if I can hear anyone here and it seems that the door is closed, so we may not get in, but it was about that walk to get here.
Now we head to Hot Town. Okay, yeah, so we're heading to Hot Town now and we'll stop along the way. the beautiful views and Matt has told me about all three, there are three peaks, one two and then three around here that are almost the same shape and that's kind of a landmark of ha and they also have a unique history, but that's kind of of single landmark that says we are in ha and behind those big mountains and two mountains is Tibet, so we are pretty close to Tibet here. Our farm stay is probably about two kilometers from the main town of Ha, so we just arrived in Ha.
Now we're going to the city, well it's pretty small, but we're going to walk around a bit and explore. Right now, it's better, we can try this one, a white one. I'll try the one he told you about. Jolla Chevy ain't right, yeah. we can buy a whole one we can buy the whole rope the best technique yes Oh she will go yes truevolt oh come on yes okay then we are in a small store and we buy some

cheese

called choko choko yes Roger, Pacho it will go well oh thank you You are very good, I'll stay here in the store and try my first piece of this dry cheese, oh yes, that's

hard

for you, keep going, keep turning slowly and it comes, okay, better, well, mmm, compare exists, it has a little. a little sweet, yes, keep seeing the tongue, okay, it tastes good, okay, so this is something that you keep chewing for a long time, insignificant, a long time, hmm, okay, right now it's very, very difficult to kill your Funk a little bit, sticking your nose in, oh, okay, yeah. don't chew your tongue, you don't want to slip, enjoy your silliness, it tastes like milk and then maybe it tastes a little bit, it also has a little sweet undertone to it, but actually I can barely, I barely like it tuned in. so I think you should keep chewing and massaging it like it's gum.
Our driver said you could chew it for at least half an hour. It's a good mountain snack, like hiking in the Himalayas.

rock

hard

cheese, good stuff. I'm still working on my piece of cheese, but yeah, it tastes like a big oh you know what it tastes like, it tastes like Milk Duds, but like a

rock

solid piece of milk and no chocolate around it. outside but only inside, but I stop here now to check that they are drying some meat up here, different pieces of meat. I don't even know all the parts of the meat that are drying, but I think I see some esophagus. and there's also some meat up there and so far, since I've been in Bhutan, one of my favorite things to eat is dried meat called Shechem, so this is dried meat, now we're going to walk towards this suspension bridge. a pedestrian bridge and it goes over the river is really cool, so now we are going to walk on it on the ground, it wasn't even very windy, but up here on the bridge it is so windy that we quickly stopped at this little shop for a couple of Momo's dishes to satisfy our hunger to take away our hunger before lunch is ready and one of the dishes is fried Momo's and then another is steamed Momo's.
I have to go for these fried moles and then that's a side oh yeah I think I'll bite off half of this oh yeah that's good I think there's cheese and cabbage in there and then with that crispy edge around the wrapper that It's good and then the outer packaging is also very sticky. I think even the Mo are a little harder here than in Thimphu, like they get hotter, maybe because they are thicker, more solid and these are the steamed ones, which look pretty identical to the fried ones, just in shape Steam, quick sauce, mmm-hmm, same billing.
I think there is also some ginger here in Bhutan, if you tell someone or mention the word ha, as for food, they will immediately think of people, so people are buckwheat

dumplings

that are famous since ha . I think the content inside of them is basically the same as the vegetables we ate, maybe a little cheese and some greens, maybe a little turnip and onion and ginger, and oh yeah, those are nice, hot and warm, actually the inside is different, I think there is cheese. it's turnip greens inside mmm and the ginger too and then the wrapper has a more grain like flavor than just the flour wrapper one of the good ones well hello I think I like them more than the Momo those were really good Momo's and even better.
People, now it's time for lunch. I think maybe our food is ready, so we'll walk back to the Palden restaurant. Dechen is going to show us a trick for serving. I better get dessert. A juice box in a cup. Oh, don't spill, no, yet, no stem. whereas if you do it like that, it looks like it's been a book you know, kind of bubbles a lot instead of not really bubbling, that's a good trick, now we're all sitting down for another lunch and we have a several different dishes, including a noodle dish that I haven't tried so far in Bhutan, it's called beef fund and it's noodles that look almost like Momo wrappers and then look like a very thick and buttery dough. nice sauce broth and then there's a little bit of beef jerky here and then some carrots so before I get dressed or before I season with chili I'll try it first mmm it's a little sour and then a little bit quite buttery and then those noodles yeah .
They taste like Momo wrappers, like pieces of dough or pieces of wrapper dough that's been cut into pieces, but fresh, a little bit of citrus, add a little bit of this, yeah, they're almost like they almost have flavor. like

dumplings

but no filling so they're like the noodle squares oh yeah with that Z oh that Z is nice and sour too and then that's it a pepper again you can immediately taste it and you know what it was . a good and very filling bowl of BA - noodles and from here I think we will just walk, maybe a little further and explore the hot city a little more.
There are not many things to do in Ha, just enjoy the natural beauty, what we are going to do this afternoon is just drive around enjoying the views, stopping at different points and just taking photos and getting views, so I will try to take some video shots of the river and mountains. It's incredibly beautiful. We return to our farm in Ha and are going to have dinner in about an hour, but there is a lot of smoke in the air because they are heating our hot stone baths, which is a type of traditional Bhutanese therapeutic bath, etc.
After dinner, you and I are going to the traditional Bhutanese stone bath, so all the stones are getting hot and then I think, I'm not sure what's going to happen exactly, but the hot stones might get into that wood. bathtub with water, so we'll soak in there after dinner, that will feel amazing. There's no dinner ready tonight and mom at home probably made it. I think about five or six different dishes, so we're going to have a big family. food, this whole room is actually very hot because of the wood stove and there are just aromas of food coming out of this room, it smells delicious, this is one of my favorite dishes that we ate last night too, which is turnip greens with some tomatoes, I think this is dried tuna, okay, okay, and then this one I think is, okay, you're like green beans with tomatoes and onions, oh, that smells so good, and then this is the shotgun, which is you, I would be one.
One of my favorite dishes is sautéed turnip with what looks like garlic, ginger and tomatoes, okay we didn't do that, we didn't do that. Oh, and I finally got to opt for some Emma dot C, which is the artisan cheese chilies. 12mm front even up2i middle then stick your hand in with the rice suit aside you know, mixers - oh-ho-ho - go ahead and the green beans are wonderful, we have a little bit of a bitter taste to them right now and also definitely They are cooked with dried chilies which are delicious, as well as some tomatoes.
I'm looking for some of those turnip greens, they're so good, and how about a piece of shotgun with beef? I love those turnip greens. like we had last night and then that shotgun, I'm sure they dry it right here at home and it has a good flavor and it's not too tough, but yeah, it actually picks very easily and still releases delicious like dried beef jerky. flavor while still enjoying it, which is incredibly good. Chihuahuas Argentina hello. Oh, Connie, I didn't recognize you with subtle movements and what seemed like another delicious dinner here at the Steak Farm and now it's time for our traditional Bhutanese hot stone hot pot.
Stone, how are you doing? Canna Young is about to enter. I just got into the bathtub. This is wonderful. The outside temperature is perfect. I think it may be freezing, but it's very hot inside this bathtub. Let me try to quickly explain how. They did this starting in the afternoon, probably around 4 p.m.They lit a big fire and put a bunch of river stones on the fire to heat the rocks and then the Wat rocks stayed on the fire for probably 4 or 5 hours until they turned like hot red lava and that's when they were ready and this It's a wooden tub and it's kind of two sections and because for us to give ourselves privacy there's a wall right here, but then the other section is behind that wall in the small section is where they put the red hot rocks that immediately heat up the water and make it nice and hot.
I have been sitting on the hot stone for about Now in 30 minutes I think I have successfully warmed myself from my core to my outer shell, I am so young and I am really enjoying our time especially the farm stay here. I'm going to end today's vlog here, please remember to give this video a thumbs up if you enjoyed it and also leave a comment below and I'll see you tomorrow for the next video and good night from Bhutan from the bathtub.
