I had been saying before that you probably know me from tick tock, but the reality is that most of the people who are watching this video or who have seen my other videos are actually just from YouTube, which is really cool. feel like youtube is promoting some of my videos, I think I'm incredibly lucky that that's happening. I'm incredibly lucky that this page is growing as fast as it is and I'm incredibly lucky that you guys are paying attention even if it's just for a few minutes, so thanks for tuning in for a little bit about me.

I am a former Navy Seal. I was medically retired at the end of 2017. I initially started creating content that was almost exclusively about being a Navy Seal and my experiences, but then when I started ticking in late 2019 and early 2020, I came full circle and started to sharing stories that I was fundamentally interested in scary stories, true crime mysteries, that kind of content just because I enjoy it. I was very fortunate that it took off with tick tock and here I am on YouTube, kind of trying to do the same thing by sharing content about, you know, darker but really interesting and compelling stories.

It's something that I'm passionate about and I'm really happy to be starting to develop a platform that is based on that because I would love to do this indefinitely, so today I'm going to cover a very famous appearance, but before I get into details about it, I want to be. Honestly to the people who watch this video, this video and my channel in general are not designed to be, you know, an attempt to convince people that the paranormal is real or that

s are real, but rather I want to cover stories that are just interesting and I like to cover things that are of the darker variety, true crimes, certainly unsolved mysteries, fall into that.

I love that genre, the dark, mystery type of genre, so this story really interests me because there's a lot of photographic evidence, uh, there's multiple witnesses like that. Corroborating not necessarily that

s are real, but rather that the events that led people to speculate that it was a ghost, there are people who corroborate the details, which means that the story is coherent, that the actors in the story basically They corroborate each other and that's how it leads. We take ourselves down a path to get to the end of the story and wonder what the hell happened because if it's not a ghost, what was it?

Because a lot of things happened that are quite difficult to explain, so that much time didn't pass. Read the version of this story: you have a single mother who moves into a house with her children and starts hearing noises in the attic walls, she can't understand it, she has friends and you know the babysitter who is in the house who She also hears it, her ex-husband begins to experience it. , so that's the story in a nutshell. Let's delve into it. In 1989, a 23-year-old woman named Jackie Hernandez had just broken up with her husband. It was an amicable separation. They just didn't get along. They decided it was time to get divorced, but we'll find out. Happily we are parents. our two kids together, so it's an amicable breakup, jackie moves into a small, modest house in san

, california with the kids and works a lot, she's a student at night, she works multiple jobs, it's a very difficult and stressful, but she is doing her best to support her family and get on her feet, so about a month into living in this house, Jackie comes home after a long day of school and work and sits down, the kids are asleep and she turns on the tv and she's just trying to decompress and while she's sitting there she starts hearing what sounds like little pebbles falling inside the walls so she mutes the tv and she's listening and periodically little pebbles fall through the wall, she goes up and listens to it with her ear against the wall. wall and she thinks to herself that there must be, you know, a mouse or some bug in my attic, unfortunately she's kicking some rocks into a hole in the wall and as she listens she thinks she hears what sound like footsteps in the attic and then It surprises her now that she's actually paying close attention to the attic.

She doesn't hear him again. You know, this is the first time she's heard something like this, so she made a very human kind of rationalization of what she just heard and she assumed that she was just. Hearing things in the attic is just a bug. I'll get to that later, so a couple days later, Jackie invites her friend Susan Ober to hang out with her at her house. You know that the children are asleep and relaxing and talking while sitting down. on the couch and as they were sitting there they heard a loud bang in the kitchen, it sounded like something had fallen and then you know, at this point Jackie had mentioned to Susan this weird thing like, hey, I think I have an animal in the uh, in the attic because I heard some stones fall through the walls, but the funny thing is, I could have sworn I heard footsteps up there, but you know, it was probably just my mind playing tricks on me, so Susan is online , maybe there's a little bit of weird things going on in the house, so when you hear this sound in the kitchen it's like you both instantly say okay.

What's happening here has more to do with the footsteps in the attic or there is a rational explanation, so they are on guard and walk. They go into the kitchen and find a painting that was hanging on the wall that had fallen over, which is honestly no reason for there to be a ghost in the house, but it was held up by a couple of nails and the nails were removed from the painting. frame and they were standing on his head pointing at the side of the picture sorry, next to the picture so imagine if you drop a picture all the nails will come out and land perfectly on your head right next to it no it's almost impossible, but Sure enough, that happened, so Susan and Jackie are looking at the photo, they're looking at the nails and they have no idea what to do with it.

You know, Susan was a little more eager to connect it to these footsteps in the attic, but she also didn't want to, you know, scare her friend because she knows she lives alone and so they talked a little bit about it and maybe they both wanted to have that discussion. about what is happening in the house, but we both decided, without saying anything, that we are going to avoid this topic and that is why they kept the photo and the nails. Susan actually decides to leave because she's a little scared and she left the next night.

Susan really brings it. A new babysitter is a 16 year old girl named Tina and I guess you know that Jackie wanted some time to get out of the house and thought she was losing her mind with all the stress of work and school, so here comes Tina. Jackie hadn't told Tina anything about what was going on at the house, it was like they were taking care of the boy scene a little bit, she was sitting on the couch, Tina, the babysitter, and she was just like, "You know what I'm going for." to go." I checked on the kids, I had a strange feeling of making sure they were okay in their rooms and as soon as she went to push the door, the door opened, which she remembers in an interview saying it was strange that before I did contact with the door the door opened but you know I didn't think anything about it I went in you know the sun is fine so I went out and closed the door but as soon as I closed it I turned around and I was starting to open it again and she describes thinking that oh, I guess you know the house must be, you don't know, it's not level or something.

Jackie comes home and Tina tells her about the door and I think Tina on some level expected Jackie, being the adult, to do it. I know how to listen to what he was saying and have a totally rational explanation for what was going on uh like oh you know my door the door always does that you know something like that um but Tina was surprised when he told her this and Jackie visibly reacted like she was worried and Tina I was like finding out and she was like, I mean, do you know why this would happen?

They've happened and they talked about it a little bit, but in the end they both just decided, you know what I think, that we're connecting things that don't need to be connected, they're just a couple of strange occurrences, so Tina leaves and Jackie leaves. They go to bed and don't think about it, so the next day, Jackie has Tina come back because she needs more help with the kids, and while they're standing in the kitchen, Jackie describes to Tina what she needs to do. At night, you know when to feed the children, what time to put them to bed.

Tina just stops paying attention to Jackie and looks towards the corner of the kitchen, so in the back corner of the kitchen you know Tina is looking and she says, "Yes." You put a new light in the corner of your kitchen and Jackie looks too and says, what is that? A rational person goes, for example, to the police and says: Hey, you know there's nothing in my attic, but I think there's someone walking through my attic and kicking rocks against my walls, knocking pictures off the walls, and removing nails. to stain them. head, you know, they're going to say, well, you're doing this, your kids are doing this, so the only person Jackie finally felt comfortable telling was her ex-husband, because they were still friendly, she He came and finally tells her you know a lot of strange things are happening to me, she showed him the picture of the lights in the kitchen and describes everything that happened in the house and he said that in a way he thought that this was just some kind of act to maybe draw attention to the fact that she was lonely and missing him.

He wasn't sure if that was it, but he definitely wasn't ready to believe anything she said. He just felt bad about the position she was in. she was inside so he listens and says look like he's almost playing with her he says let's just say if something is happening at your house we should call him so he gets up and she says no don't do that. Don't do that and he goes, whoever is here, show up and they're looking around, nothing and I think in a way, Jackie was disappointed because there weren't, you know, footsteps in the attic at that very moment, but there was nothing and all that.

And then they start describing to the owner all the strange happenings in the house, the lights, they got a picture of the pebbles, all the steps, everything and the owner is very religious and very concerned and says, would you allow it? have two priests come to your house and check your house and Jackie, uh, she's a religious person, but to beHonestly, she was a little skeptical of the idea of ​​introducing religion into what was happening, I think for her she just wanted it to go away, but of course. she had no one to turn to and so she said ok yes we will have the priest come and check it out so the next day these two priests showed up at her house and Jackie's house was very messy she had two kids little ones. she was working multiple jobs, going to school late and had all these weird things happening at her house, so when they showed up, her house was a total mess, her kids are crying, it's just a crazy house. and ultimately what happened with this visit is the The priest walked around, you know, he offered to bless his children, but they didn't really have any kind of similar conclusion and then they left and Jackie said, well, you know which didn't really do anything for me, but okay, next one.

The day he receives a visit from child protective services because the priest had actually filed a complaint saying that this was all a hallucination of an incompetent mother, this notion that the house was haunted, combined with when they showed up, the house was a total disaster, he just said I don't think the kids are safe and that's why they called child protective services who basically threatened Jackie to clean it up, literally clean your house, but we're going to be watching you to make sure you're safe. shape. mother, and this is a big blow because now Jackie is seeing what happens when you mention that your house is haunted, that's what can happen and now she's not ready to share this with anyone, so for the next two years.

Weeks, Jackie brings her children into the living room and they all start sleeping in the same room. She is becoming more and more paranoid. You know she is overworked and not getting enough sleep. She's kind of in a spiral and you know that Susan, who's her friend, is really noticing. She is noticing this and she also knows the sensitivity of being able to share this with authority because she knows what child protective services calls and she knows that Jackie is very afraid to share the story with anyone, but she reaches out and tells them. she you have to call a paranormal investigator, they're probably the only group of people that if you tell a story, they won't treat you like they're crazy and at least that's a reason to call them.

Even if what they give you has no value to you and you know it doesn't accomplish anything, at least there's a group of people who are going to take you seriously and eventually Jackie just says, "Okay, let's do it," so they pass a couple of days. and this team shows up at her house, this team of paranormal investigators, they have cameras and recorders, I mean, they're there to try to capture footage and even though they were ready to listen to Jackie and obviously had taken her seriously enough to appear. at home they were quite skeptical, they admitted it themselves after this whole case happened, they had said that they had covered over 3,000 cases before this and they brought the recording equipment and all that they had never found anything usable that could even They hinted at the existence of ghosts or the paranormal, so you could say they sympathized with people who had these experiences, but usually nothing happened or they found a rational explanation for whatever the person said had happened.

They didn't have any paranormal material, so they're interviewing Jackie on camera, the three investigators that are there, they ask her some questions about what's going on and they film it and, uh, Jackie had actually invited her ex-husband Al to be. there with the kids, so he's in the other room with the kids and they're interviewing her and then the power goes out, which sounds pretty cliché and I get it, but the power goes out and then it comes back on and it visibly shakes Jackie, she had been living in this house with all these strange happenings and it was like she had this feeling that something bad was going to happen and then she starts acting very, very scared, uh and says, you know, I'm telling you that there is something. continuing with the attic and then they stopped the interview and said okay, let's take a look at the attic, we'll go look, there won't be anything there, we'll go back down and we'll chat with her some more and one of the three investigators takes a ladder and he crawls through this little crawl space up to the attic and he goes up and while he's doing that, who do you meet in the other room with the kids, he's wide awake lying with his son, he's like waiting, he's not really waiting Let nothing happen and while you're lying there you could have sworn you heard someone whisper in your ear telling you to get out of here and you have an interview. he does what this moment describes and you can tell Al is as skeptical as he comes and says I just don't know how to explain it.

I heard it clear as day and right after I heard it, I heard a scream from the attic guy, the photographer who had gone up to the attic was alone up there and he brought his expensive camera and he comes running down the stairs or jumps through the hole and practically falls from the attic and tells them that something grabbed my camera there's not one up there but something grabbed my camera and his heart races his face is pale and the other researchers are starting to sense what's happening, they all run out of the room and he He says what is happening and the photographer is like my camera and he goes from being afraid of what happened to thinking that this is my livelihood, I need to get that camera back, so he goes back to the attic to get his camera and finds the body of the camera in a box on one side of the attic and then they took the camera lens off and placed it on the other side of the attic, he goes down with his camera and you can tell that what he just discovered is really shaking him and the others Researchers are also very shocked. and whatever they plan to do that night, whether it's finishing the interview with Jackie or whatever went out the window, they're ready to leave, Jackie's begging them to stay.

Alice went crazy, no one knows what's going on and the investor was. like yeah, yeah, yeah, we're fine, we'll be back soon, we'll be back soon, I promise, but in reality they say: let's get out of here and they run off after dropping everyone off, they stay for a little longer, but in the end it has to come back because she has to work early the next day, so Jackie is left alone with the kids, she's totally freaked out, she feels like the investigators had disturbed the entity in the house, um, and so she's pretty nervous about something.

It's bad that it happens and sure enough it does, so that night Jackie is lying on the couch, she's in full meltdown mode, she has no idea what's going on in her house, you know, seeing the investigators who are supposed to Those who must investigate these things are obviously scared. and it left her really unsettled, she felt like she didn't have any support at all, she just felt like the whole situation had completely fallen apart and she's really scared for her kids and she's lying on the couch and at some point She must have passed away.

She goes out and then suddenly wakes up and looks at the foot of her couch and thinks she sees what appears to be the figure of an old man standing there looking at her children, he screams, disappears, grabs her children and goes out. in a hurry. At the house the first people she calls are the investigators because again she is worried about telling the police for fear that they will think she is crazy and take her children away from her so she calls the investigators and they don't answer but she leaves a voicemail and in the voicemail she is on she is completely desperate and says please come back, I'm out of the house, I can't get back in, I don't know what to do, I can't get back in, please . help me and one of the photographers who was there heard the voice message and decides that we have to go back.

It's very late at night. They find Jackie outside her property in her pajamas with her children. She is totally scared. They bring her inside and The house is totally calm, there are no signs that anything is happening, so they are walking through the house, no one enters the attic, but they just walk and it is silent, it is calm and after a little bit of time, maybe maybe. The guys in the attic are trying to stay calm. They're like trying to talk. Oh, that might. it could have been the ceiling, oh it could have been this, but the investigator downstairs with jackie and jackie yourself start to panic and say, "hey, come on, come back down, let's not take the chance that something is about to happen." , go back down so They're heading back to the exit of the attic and it's completely dark up there without the light source they had.
