GALAXY BUDS PRO vs GALAXY BUDS PLUS (Samsung Removed These Features)

May 31, 2021
So the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro may seem like an obvious sequel to the Galaxy Buds Plus, but honestly, aside from the price difference, there are actually quite a few advantages to using the Galaxy Buds Plus over the Pros, so there are plenty

features

that Samsung strangely. I cut out the Galaxy Buds Pros that I really liked with the plus, so in this video I want to break down all the similarities and differences to help you decide which pair is really the best pair to buy now, like I said, of course, price. This will be the first difference you'll notice, these are a year older than the Galaxy Buds Pro here and at launch they were 150.

Now I'll link them below of course because I mean we all know Samsung prices change . all the time I've already seen them as low as 100 150 like anywhere in that range you'll probably find them, but the key idea here is that you'll almost always see a 50 difference between the Galaxy Buds Pro released at 200 and the Galaxy Buds Plus that launched at 150, of course sales will occur with any of these and of course the main difference that Samsung is marketing between these will be the addition of active noise cancellation. the

galaxy

buds

pro i tried before and i'll talk about that later in the video, but first i want to address the physical differences.

More Interesting Facts About,

galaxy buds pro vs galaxy buds plus samsung removed these features...

There are a couple of categories in this video. The physical differences are really the first ones I noticed right away. with the comfort and stability between these ear

buds

, I mean yes the cases are a little different, they are both quite compact, they both have USB type C wireless charging on the back and similar battery life when we open the cases. You'll see that the earbuds themselves are fundamentally quite different, not only do they look different but they also have a very different fit and stability in your ears, so starting with the Galaxy earbuds and what we have here is a little silicone eartip that goes In your ear, unlike the Galaxy Buds Pro, this one has a nice round tip, so it's a circle, while the Galaxy Buds Pro are more of an oval shape.

I'm not sure which one I like more, I think I like the circle. on the

galaxy

buds plus better but the big difference here and this is I'm not really sure why

samsung

did this but you have silicone pads like the little wing tips on the galaxy buds plus and then they don't have tips anymore of the wings on the galaxy buds. pro, so what that means is when you put the galaxy buds plus in your ear, you put them in, you twist them a little bit and there are three different wingtips that you can choose from, so I have the medium ones right here and they really grip the inside your ear in a really comfortable and secure way, so for the past year I've been wearing them for a lot of different workouts and they never fall out of my ear, they're very secure, very comfortable all day and it's one of the reasons why I really liked them and recommended the Galaxy Buds and now the Galaxy Keyboards Pro, like I said, for some reason they don't have that wing tip, I mean, they still fit pretty well in your ear, it doesn't feel as secure, but I will do that.

I did mention that the plastic design, like the overall body of the earbud, acts like a wingtip, sort of gripping the inside of your ear a bit, but not to the extent we saw with the rubber wingtips. I said that the tips of the ears themselves are a different shape, so having a more oval shape here, if you take them off, you'll see that they actually have a little mesh on the inside, which makes them a little harder to clean, but at the same time. You'll have to be less likely to get something stuck in the actual speaker right there, as good as bad, but as far as aesthetics when comparing these two, I think they both look pretty similar, they both look pretty good, unfortunately I have two different ones. colors here, but you guys can comment below and let me know which one you think looks better between the galaxy buds pro, as you can see here, and the galaxy buds plus, as you can see here, and of course, over time you know that Samsung releases more and more colors so at this point I think the galaxy buds plus have five colors listed on their website but they may have more colors elsewhere in the world so I mean five to seven colors , while the galaxy buds pro currently only have three colors.
I mean all the colors look pretty good to me, I usually just get white or black anyway, but I mean regardless there are more options for the Galaxy Buds Plus and with that being said the battery life It is another advantage of the Galaxy Buds Plus that you are looking for. with 11 hours of battery on the earbuds 22 hours when you include the case so now there is substantial battery life on the galaxy buds pro on the other hand the battery life is a little different because it depends on whether you have active noise cancellation or not. on, if you have one on you're looking at about five hours of battery on the earbuds and 18 with the case, so decent battery life, but I mean, on the earbuds you're looking at about half the battery life What you see on the galaxy buds plus now, when you have active noise cancellation turned off, they are a little more similar, you're looking at eight hours on the earbuds and 28 hours when you include the case, so the battery life is pretty similar technically. get longer battery life with the galaxy buds pro if you include the case and don't use active noise cancellation okay so let's get into a microphone test right now and this is the galaxy buds pro this is what it sounds like Yes We're talking in a studio environment, it's pretty quiet in here, uh, not that there's obviously almost no echo, but we're going to go out in a second to see what they sound like out there.
I mean, we've already tested them in two videos. Previously, I know that they sound great and of course these are the Galaxy Buds and also this is what they sound like. The first thing I noticed when I put them on, of course, will be the difference in comfort. I really like the Galaxy Buds Plus. because they have that wingtip, in my opinion they fit a little better in my ears, okay guys, this is a test near a busy road, so obviously there is a lot of sound here, although it is not that windy, but comment below again, this is the buds plus here comment below, let me know if you can hear what I'm saying.
Now this is the galaxy buds pro again with a lot of traffic behind me so comment below and let me know if you can hear what I'm saying. I'm saying one thing about this, at least now I have to dig into the settings. I don't think there's a default transparency mode when I'm talking on a phone like this, so I feel like I'm really shouting, but again, let me. I know if you can listen to what I'm saying now, physically speaking, the big advantage of the galaxy buds pro is actually the water resistance rating, which is why last year's galaxy buds plus had a really disappointing ipx2 rating in comparison. with a lot of other earbuds like I said it's really quite disappointing that the Galaxy Buds Pro, however this year they are now ipx7, now I mean don't get me wrong, they are both fine if you are sweating or if it is lightly drizzling outside, but if you are working out in heavy rain or if you drop them in a puddle, there's a good chance you'll see some sort of water damage on the Galaxy Buds, and while the Galaxy Butts Pro, you don't really worry about that.
Oh, and another thing I want to mention is that on the Galaxy Buds Plus and most other earbuds out there I usually use the medium tips, while on the Galaxy Buds Pro I had to use these small tips, so if anyone has little. Ears, I mean, I think I have pretty medium-sized ears, but if you have small ears, the Galaxy Buds Pro probably won't fit as well in your ears or at least might require a little more force to get them in. Now let's look at some of the feature differences between these earbuds and start with some advantages of the Galaxy Buds.
Also, the first thing I was disappointed not to see on the Galaxy Buds Pro was the double-tap feature on the edge of the earbud, which was a bit hidden. down in the lab section of the app, but essentially what it allowed you to do was have an extra level of functionality on the headphones where you normally have the right touch panels, you can duplicate them, you can tap them once, tap twice, tap three times or touch and hold. and if you enabled edge tap what you could do is just move your ear or tap the bottom or anywhere you want you would just tap the earbud twice and what it does is it uses the onboard accelerometer to register that it is shook. twice and it will change the volume and the reason why sounds like a strange feature, but the reason I really like this is because it frees up the touchpad to do something else.
Now that you have more controls on your headphones, it means less. You'll most likely have to take your phone out of your pocket to do something like that, and speaking of the app, one absolutely huge difference between these two is that the Galaxy Buds Plus will actually work with an iPhone and the Galaxy Buds. pro won't and I mean, it's true that both will connect to an iPhone. Both will play music on an iPhone, but the difference is that you can't. There is no app support for Galaxy Buds Pro on any iOS device. I'm not sure why they did this now, maybe they'll eventually release an app, but it's a big difference that if you have an iPhone, I mean, you should save money and get the Galaxy Buds Plus right here or maybe even consider it. a different pair of earbuds overall just because

samsung

doesn't support the galaxy buds pro on ios right now of course the galaxy buds pro obviously have active noise cancellation and on top of that they have a really cool voice feature where it will be .
It will detect when you're talking and automatically turn off active noise cancellation, lower the music volume, and turn on transparency mode, and that's something we don't see on the Galaxy Buds and it's a really cool feature on the Pro. Another cool feature The Galaxy Buzz Pro is the smart switch between devices. I mean, it's already easy enough to switch between devices with the Galaxy Buds Plus, but now it's even easier if you have a Samsung tablet and a Samsung phone and you get a call. in one of them you can switch very easily, it's very convenient to have, especially if you have a tablet and a phone and use them at the same time, but again, it's not something specifically new for these like Jabra Elite. 85 ts already do that, many headphones do it too, but it's something that's convenient to have on the pro and not seen on the plus from time to time, of course, the last feature I want to mention.
The advantage is that they have that Dolby Head tracking audio, it's something that again only works with Samsung devices and it gives you a more 3D type experience, so you can look around, it will sound a little different, it will feel more like you . I'm there in person, but it's not like that, at least for the moment it hasn't been rolled out to all Samsung devices. I think it's only on the s21 right now, so depending on when you're watching this, it could be on other devices. but that's a difference you won't see, you won't get it on the Galaxy Buds, also, speaking of the differences in sound quality on these earbuds, there are a couple of key differences I want to point out.
The first is that the galaxy buds pro seem to be a bit louder so I'm listening to the same music about two levels lower on my phone with the pro to get the same volume as I was listening to on the galaxy buds plus so anyone looking for really loud music, pro, I mean, they can definitely live up to the fact that I don't normally listen to really loud music, so it doesn't make a big difference for me, but the next difference I'll notice is that the galaxy buds pro they tend to be a little bit more dynamic so I mean you can really exemplify this very obviously when you look at the equalizer in the galaxy wear app on the galaxy buds, also I don't normally use natural mode, it sounds a little boring to me and flat, so I go. to dynamic mode and it sounds much better now with the galaxy buds pro I just leave it in that natural neutral mode it sounds really great there is a lot of bass there is a lot of treble it also has a little more clarity In my opinion, with the galaxy butts pro, I mean Because overall the sound quality is better on the galaxy buds pro, but that being said, many people may not even notice the difference, they both sound great, esp.
If you go into dynamic mode on the Galaxy Buds and they both give you a pretty similar sound signature, it's a little better on the Galaxy Buds Pro. Now I didn't want to overlook the active noise cancellation, which is definitely a big plus of the Galaxy . Buds Pro and originally I wanted to do some kind of test to show you how much they block and what the difference is, but I mean realistically I'll just explain to you that it will be easierdo it this way, with passive noise blocking. It's essentially like plugging your ears, so they both have silicone ear plugs that plug your ears and they both block out a lot of higher frequency sounds around you, but I'm talking about lower frequency things, like traffic on a highway or if It's like a vacuum cleaner using a dishwasher, things like that, you're still going to hear that through the Galaxy Buds Plus, but the Galaxy Buds Pro with Active Noise Cancellation pretty much eliminates all of that, so if you're a frequent traveler, you'll be in. trains and planes when the Galaxy Buds Pro are available.
It'll probably be an obvious choice for you guys, that's pretty much all I wanted to say about the Galaxy Buds Pro and the Galaxy Buds. Also, I want to recap both great pairs of headphones if you find them on sale for the same price. price, then I'd probably say the pros are going to be a better buy just because they give you that active noise cancellation and a little bit better sound quality, microphone quality, like overall they're a slightly better pair of headphones, but if you're someone who is looking to do a lot of exercise personally.
I would lean more towards the Galaxy Buds. Also, just because they fit better in my ears, they are more secure and I find them more comfortable, so if you don't worry. Blocking out sounds around you definitely does a great job and you'll save about fifty dollars, but I mean it's really complicated, it depends on your financial situation and how much white noise you're trying to block if active noise cancellation is really important, I mean these are going to be an obvious buy right here, but guys the good news is you really can't go wrong, they are both great pairs of headphones.
