Found 5 Explosive Devices Underwater with the U.S. Navy! (Bomb Squad Called)

to see what a day in the life looks like for them on the left here are all the ships we're going to get on one of those ships here shortly, but we actually have to walk through all of these containers to get to the guys in the building, but let's go there, introduce yourself and I guess we'll see what the plan is.

Okay, cool, cool, hey Joe, we're going to do some pre-op briefings to familiarize you with what it's going to be like to dive on your boat and go over some safety stuff, so we're actually at the military base right now and we're actually filming a video for Navy.com. Here they have the whole set, so I'll make my video to share with you here on YouTube, but they'll make one for them too, but it's going to be a crazy day and I'll take you guys along for the adventure.

We are EOD technicians. Eod means

explosive

ordnance disposal and our primary mission is to deal with

explosive

hazards in any type of environment. What's that kind of thing like nowadays? We're going to go to the United States halfway and dive in and show you one of those environments that we could be operating in today. We will be on a cold ship. There's nothing really dangerous about it, right? to be tagged, passengers don't move, accessories don't move, no suctions or discharges, any kind of stuff like that can hurt you, but like in a real life scenario, the boat might be a little bit hotter , All those things.

They would be things that we would have to take into account as divers on the boat, how deep the water is, so it really depends on the tide, if it's high tide, 45 feet 50 max, but we don't see ourselves in anything like that, like that which maybe 35 feet. Hopefully it's cool, what about white sharks? It all depends, oh God, can you fight? Yeah, it's not much of a target without it. We just met everyone and it was really cool to learn a little more about the eod team here but I'm really excited to get on the boat, the plan now is to put on the wetsuit before we get on the boat because I get seasick if I try to put things on when I'm on a boat, so we'll all be ready, we'll get on the boat. and then head towards the middle of the road and that's where we're going to dive and look for items under the boat, so let's get to it.

These boats are amazing. I want to have one like this at home. I just put on my wetsuit. We're about to get on the boat and start this but I'm excited, we're on a military base about to dive with the

and it's going to be a lot of fun so we're heading to the US halfway there. Right now we have everyone in the boat, man, this is a dream come true. I'm already having so much fun and these guys are seriously so nice and we're about to do something I've never done before in my entire life. dive under the ship that is not sunken, so this is going to be a wonder, justin, yes, I'm afraid, that's scary, the water is cold, it's going to be very dark, yes, no more, no more, done, go home, there are too many sharks like now, as if everything is still. so surreal right now like i'm thinking about great white sharks think about how scary how cold it's going to be hey guys it's too cold we have to go home the boat is a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be and they keep saying and once we get right under it, it's going to be pitch black, so luckily we have some lights, yeah, otherwise I'll be freaking out, look at you, you're ready to go, we get hot real quick on this, what can we find, honey, Uh, so I've seen it?

There are a lot of lobsters in there, some eels come out from time to time, there are some fish swimming down there, uh, some alligators. What's really cool about this place is that the only way to dive this place is if you have permission from the army, it's actually a great place. museum, thousands and thousands of people come here and I guarantee you there are a ton of treasures and they've never been touched before so we'll see if we can find some iPhones and some gopros and maybe do a little trash cleaning in the end. of the day, but right now I think we're all getting ready to take a look at what it looks like

I'm looking for four to five if I can't find them. all the ships are going to be sunk you think someone more qualified than me would be here but diving we're at 900 feet I'm looking for these shapes going up and down oh my god this thing is so big trying to do this Quick oh my god it's so murky down here an eel is going to bite me.

This crack right now where the eel is I don't see anything wow you're sucking in some air there you sound really tired I had to rescue Justin twice I got another one and there's a smiley face on it so we have two down Three more to go I don't know Are you stuck at the bottom? Yeah, I'm not stuck at the bottom, up, up, my head hit the top of the boat, I think I'm pretty far down, I still stay, oh, I think I see one.

I hunt and I love picking up trash in the rivers and I thought there was no better way to be able to take them out and do the same so we all have trash bags.

I don't even know if it's commercially available and we're going to go down and just shoot like we're up in the water to see if we can find some interesting things and it's going to be a blast, well let's take a photo okay, you can see the whole bottom of the ocean, yes, so if we get very close to the ground, yes, very low, you can really see everything.

Wow, that's great. You see there's a little red thing there, that's probably something you want to try, yeah, let me try this. you'll probably be able to find that thing we got stuck on earlier oh I just found something, what is this, look at this, what is it, I can't really see what it is, grab it, oh what do you think it is? I don't know what a box is, what is that? What the hell? Oh it looks like a generator or an air pump yeah you want to turn it up yeah okay the cool top is coming up taking the lazy sonar we're like knee deep in the mud and I just can't see anything but it's really great to be able to see through all that and it's a tool that I never thought existed and you know you guys have it all yeah it's nice it becomes your eyes when you don't.

I can't see anything anymore, you can see very, very far, look, we found something with it, so we just went diving, we found some interesting things, I found the bird, my plan right now is to jump off this little wall here, I've been wanting to do it all. There you have it, after a full day of diving, Josh, I and the whole team found a lot of trash, we also found some interesting things like the scooter, but now it's time to take all this to the trash, throw it in the trash. trash, yes. We do our best to pick up the environment as we go, we had a great time and spent the day with them, but I knew at the end of the day I wanted to come here and try to clean up as much as possible and we found some good things.

It was quite surprising. They found that scooter that was probably my favorite item. That was definitely my favorite thing, the bird scooter, who would have thought it was in the ocean? Yes, you know there are so many cool things you can do in the navy and if you are ever thinking about joining or doing anything with the military, I suggest you check it out. You know that what you do on a daily basis is super special and it is truly an honor to be able to spend a day with you. They are really very brave.
