if you're gonna see some glimmers inside some metal elements here that's all from the cover it's not the connecting rod bearings or the main bearings chewing and everything coming loose that's just from the cover ok so I'll what happens is it falls splashes down there's a little wheel up here it gets belt flows going down there and it just sits there and settles to the bottom so it's not really a problem this isn't a big deal , it's a lot of cleaning but it's not a big deal but the problem with

when

all those pieces break is the truck gets a little crowded you go there pull back a little bit there you go it's a little clearer it's full so another very important reason why I want to pull out the tray and do something like this right so let's go ahead and pull out the front cover.

All bolts should fall out. do this with one hand you're destroying something so on the cover here what happens this is the passenger side here this is the side that will always have the most wear and tear okay so like i said that big guy is up here everything is alright reverse right now we're looking at it from the other side but that guide you were talking about that breaks off and is thinner and flimsier is up here so once it's gone the chain falls over here and starts chewing things up ok this really isn't that bad we're getting a lot of metal I think it's because um the guide on this side like I said is gone down and there's the other half so I don't know why it broke like I said you know put it back in there a little bit you go like I said huh the guide on the side is much thicker and the chain is something like that like it lays down and rides fine and lets say the tensioner failed here all right its already laying on it while this liner yeah i was correct the person who did this job

parts and not tightening things and there are loose bolts and mixed bolts did not clean the pan how do i know that right like i told you? look at these ribs right here on the back of this they're just on the passenger side guide and you can see this guide is intact all the way through the guide is intact okay it's cracked here i can tell you now i can I can't see there very well let me stop and show you where you have to go I know this one is cracked but all the pieces are basically here because it cracks and separates but this part right here which is the first missing section still it's here so all those pieces we're looking at these ribs this backbone the backbone you see in the pan are the original ones that broke many moons ago so they never cleaned the pan yeah like that that this all looks good to go here, i mean all the bolts. they're into things i don't really understand understand why it broke lemme see this bolt is loose no and that's the right bolt that's the right bolt down there and this tensioner seems ok here the original oil pump never changed it what which you know if you're on a budget that's ok but you can see all the slack on this side this is horrible it's mostly because it popped up here and you can see this one for now it's holding up that's a keeper too yeah so yeah , there's a lot of bad stuff going on here, especially with this guy being gone, that thing's completely gone, it's a huge thick guide and it just sat there and banged and chewed and everything fell off. down in the tray and it clogged the pickup in there very interesting so yeah this isn't too bad the broken guide created a big mess but it didn't do much otherwise because like I said the chain is here but

when

it's down below it's going to chew on the head a little bit, you know, and create a little bit of metal in there, the bits, all these little pockets, you see it here, they're all over the place when this happens anywhere, you've got to really investigate like in this head. in the top rear corner, I'll just look at it to see if there's any damage to the cam lobes and long before that there was a piece of the plastic guides, so you have to be thorough about cleaning them anytime you do something like this, but this is going to get the crazy tech

treatment here we're going to do our best to clean it real good and put all the new

stuff high volume oil pump clean everything real good and seal it real good um otherwise it's not too bad we can definitely put it away it doesn't need a motor safe ok now with everything cleaned up and back together look it looks like factory new I mean it's like it's all back together all the pieces were there. in the back in the box to get everything back together looks good to go fill the coolant oil and we're ready to crank it up and run it let it warm up bleed the coolant all that good stuff so Let's see how this pup works that needed an engine oh it starts right away of course it needs an exhaust manifold.

Let's let it start again there and see our power. balance in there nice and smooth look at that very nice and smooth to top it off now that it has new coolants and oil and all new ford parts here i buy the oil pump everything cleaned up properly now lets give them a courtesy uh pcm reflash that in It actually increases the rpm, engine idle base rpm and addresses a few other quality concerns uh with the software and we'll let it relearn after that and that's over with this ok that's it. now i will see you next time
