. That's what I found. I wanted to, uh, when I first decided I was going to go

a little bit old school with a

rod, that collapsible one I had, I'll tell you what the eyelet came off of, I mentioned that in one of my previous videos I just It wasn't like that.

I'm pleased with its quality, so I'm hoping this one holds up a little better, but today we'll be down here, aiming for some bluegills. We will use some brush pile jig

s. which I have never used before, what we have here today will again be the brush pile jigs baby brush kit. line that appears to be a small split shot and a small hook.

I'm not going. To use this particular setup, I'm going to use the product that comes in the baby brush kit, but if you're looking for something available to go out and have fun with, this comes with everything you need, get yourself some wax worms. or some red worms and let's get to the key thing. I want to remind you to bring a bucket and take your trash. I know most of you are good at it, but man, some of the crap I see. In these lakes I feel like I have to remind you that there is too much.

If you are a fisherman you should respect the waterways you fish in and take trash with you, sometimes even picking up trash that someone else left behind hooked it up this is a 10 foot model it is a little shorter than that 12 foot black widow feet that we had was a black widow I don't think it was a black widow what was it? little gem or something, I don't know, it was a bm rod, this one looks like it was tied old school at the end, I don't think we're going to have any problems with that, yeah, they even burned and melted this, uh, this . rope they have tied that eyelet with, so I think we'll be in good shape.

I'm going to attach this line to the buttonhole with just a triple knot. If I had a snap swivel with me, I would. Go ahead and hook the end of the swivel snap to the eyelet and then tie my line to the other end and that will reduce some of the line twist you get, but I didn't bring any of those with me today. Alright, I removed a lot of lines, let's see how many we have. I like to try to keep mine about the length of the rod, as you can see I'm a little long.

You might have about 12 feet of line here, so let's remove a little bit of that dull color. I think we're going to start with the peppercorn which will have a good color here, this pond has quite a bit. There's just natural forage in it so there's some blue crappie bass channel cat and that's really what's in this pond. Other turtles. I'm seeing about three or four turtles right now. Hopefully, they're not messing with me today. Okay, let's set. This float is probably about 18 inches deep, that's what we're working with. Okay, it looks like we have a little rock here to stand on and we're going to put this out there, on the other end of that weed line, we can pop this. a little bit more shallow, let's try to back up to about a foot, a few up here in the beds.

I'm surprised they still have beds, but they have them all dusted and they take this. float and just a vertical jig for them, there's a ton of them right here for them to bite, though there he is, there he is, we got him to bite, that was awesome, guys, that's basically eye fishing for these guys, actually, I think it's basically me. I saw that guy inhale this thing, okay, we might have to move around a little bit today and keep looking for these guys like this, which isn't very big, but it was a lot of fun on that stick, let him go back and do his business, okay, let's remove this float and we'll hang a little bit.

There's another one sitting here on a rock shelf to see if we can convince him to bite. Okay, we'll walk around here and see if we can. I can't find any more active ones along the shore, yeah there's a couple here, so all I'm doing down here guys is just walking along the shore and flipping this little plastic fish with a stick and just walk it trying to locate some fish there's a little one right there that keeps pecking at them there's definitely some fish in here very shallow so it's a lot of fun fishing there he is he's oh yeah he'll give me a bit of a fight that one's a little better they also caught him before a Pretty much better fish okay let's go look for more here's one down here if I scared him let's hope he comes back some polarized sunglasses would help me immensely they would have to be a prescription because all I'm doing is walking along the shore a lot of these bluegills just get pushed into these weed beds and stuff like that, just trying to find some out there, like I said, I'm surprised there are actually some that have beds made there pretty late in the year to have beds, but at least I think that that's what they are.

They have the bottom of that area they're lying in all clean, so to me that says the bed is the smallest. one right there but we'll see if we can convince him yeah there he is kane poland bluegill gotta love him oh there's one right there there he goes he's got it oh man everyone's missing out they gotta go out and try this which is pretty too check it out , look at their really pretty colors, okay, get back out there mate, I'll be completely honest, I wasn't planning on sight fishing today, but since they're making it so easy for Yo, why not?

Yeah, I might have to talk to the eye doctor and get some prescription polarized glasses because that would make this, like I said, a hell of a lot easier. This pond becomes much shallower here, on this side, on that side. Where I was fishing, the dam is pretty much the deepest part of this lake. We have a lot of shallow spots we can get in and fish, so we may have to walk a bit today. I'm surprised not to see. over on this side there are some down here actually there are quite a few down here there he is oh yes, that's a dandy yes, there's no shortage of fish here by this tree it's not bad at all, let's see if we can't attract another one to bite there below he is like I said there is no shortage of fish right there there are a lot of nice fish and they are not playing I don't know if you guys can see that but you are inhaling it right here well it's safe to say that the Brush Stack Jigs family of baits has me sold another product.

These brushed babies are here killing it today. We look for another. It's also amazing. This cane. You can actually feel them hitting the bait. It's pretty impressive, you can definitely feel them, it's just a little thump, thump, kind of surprising for just an old bamboo stick. This just goes to show that you don't need to have super expensive rods and reels to go out, fish, and grab a bite to eat. It's fun to tell you what we can put a float on right here, we'll probably do well there by that tree a little bit in the shade, so I can't see anything in that direction.

Oh, there was a big old gill that just came and turned right here. these weeds there he has it, he has it, he's really good, yeah, he's a dandy, guys, I saw him just walk up and hit something in this little bed of weeds right here in front of me, oh damn, he got away before I. Gotta show you, known for dropping fish, that one was really worth showing. We'll work on the other side of this weed bed, see if there's anything there. Okay, let's try this float. I'll do it maybe in Probably about nine inches deep.

I like to sight fish them. I better tell you that that is super fun. Yes, let's walk back to our team. I think there's one here in a minute. He made it like I said. Here in a minute. I think there are still a lot of active bluegills here in this corner, so I can see my gear from here and we go fishing instead. The guy has all the pond he needs to cut and he's cutting right where I'm fishing. Alright, I changed the colors with the silver disc trying to get something a little more flashy in front of them.

Some of these that are pushed up are shallow, they are aggressive, they are chasing the other bluegills that are. Up here, but they definitely weren't chasing that pepper color he was wearing just a second ago, I mean, I'm tickling his nose with it and he's just not interested, let's see if this guy here wants to try it, oh damn eh, you got it right. He hit it and I didn't take advantage of it. I'm making him angry. He's going to eat it here in a second. Oh damn, oh, they'll get him this time. There he is.

I made him angry enough. He kept saying it. Finally I bought him some, oh stop it, another very nice fish, I hope these cat paws are almost finished, let's see if we can get one more out of this place, here it is, oh, it came out, damn, that sucks, there is. He's not the one he was looking for, but he's very good. We will take fish like this all day long, I'm sure they are very pretty. There is one nailed with a plastic stick. I hope they review it.
