First Time Grocery Shopping at M&S - Is this the best British supermarket?!

and a lot of you said we should check them out and they were more exclusive and that's just what we're about to do, and Spencer is clearly there. like a top score and Spencer is the department store variety but I saw it has a food hall we have to go check it out let's get a meal from the foreign food hall it's strange that

is like a proper place. department store there is a cafeteria up there, but we only need the food hall.

There's Christmas stuff for Christmas gifts and right next to the Halloween stuff because like I said we're in this kind of in-between time of year, honestly these look fancier than any of the candy cookie gifts you could give someone in the U.S. That's fair, wow, wow, we know that. about Percy Pig, but we didn't know about the Percy Pig Advent calendar.

Oh, I like that it's milk chocolate every day, but then you get a real bag of Percy Pig candy on Christmas Day. Oh man, I want a pot of Percy Pig. really nice now we've heard there are some amazing prepared meals here and now the dilemma is do we want a cart or a cart or a basket. I don't think I've ever heard of Cumberland pie, British beef mint in a rich sauce, on top of buttery mash and cheddar cheese crumble, oh that sounds delicious, I appreciate it. descriptions like this say tender and comforting, hearty and generous and then this one says it has to wait, this one says it has a comforting sauce.

I can't decide if those are m s specific descriptors or like the UK in general, but those aren't descriptions I think we'd find in the US oh that sounds good, actually let's give it a try, if you want to try that yeah , that sounds pretty good man, ready meals never end here there's loads of stews, Yorkshire pudding, all sorts of like Sunday roast and roast dinners, they're all like spaghetti and Italian looking bunnies, oh, that one has prawns in it, that sounds pretty good, oh look at those pretty roasted tomatoes, do all the M's have so many prepared food options because I feel like how would you do it? choose dinner there are so many things that sound wonderful look at that cauliflower cheese that sounds pretty good overripe cheddar cheese that looks fun carrot and sweet Crush wow look at this this is like a plate oh it's a paella that's why it's so big they're I'm trying to make it like a giant paella, but it's mini size, only for two people.

I guess so, two. I've just noticed that these buns have a lot more going on than the ones we tried, rare cheese and foreign ham buns, they're little cheese pinwheels and Marmite, they don't look as appetizing I have to say, but there are three for eight quid, which is a good deal. I think for a pound and fifty we're going to try this one, it's just a small guy, we'll give it a I'm trying to remember why Pork Pies strike me as something that would be warmed up, yes, but I think sometimes people just eat them cold and without heating, what is your preference?

Do you like them cold or hot? Don't know. what does pumpkin mean Pamela, but oh, it's a garlic bread, oh wow, it has a red glow that sounds so good, they sound pretty good. Can we try this? It looks like something unusual and delicious and it's reduced to a pound 96. It's petrified, but don't worry, you can eat it, it's not bad, it didn't turn out bad, look at this fresh spaghetti, it looks so good.

I'm used to eating spaghetti out of a box and now I'm sad. Oh, this is all vegetable. things it's like they have their whole brand in their own section, they have like fake chicken and all kinds of plant based things. I'm kind of curious, like what is that, it's probably good, oh, look at this, look at this snow pork striped bacon. It looks like the morning star one and I like that stuff so I wonder if I would like it. I'm curious if there is anything here that you recommend. I'm leaning toward trying some of these Southern Fried Chicken.

I'll probably like the Pretenders, rather, I'll try the steaks. It's actually like this giant cake that calls out to the caterpillar because it's so fun to watch. These are called chalk corn. There is a Percy Pig one, but there are other types as well. These are like chocolate corn, fruit and caramel flavored popcorn covered in Percy Pig flavored pink chalk. and Percy Pig candy. I'm very confused, we don't have any of that, but it looks really good, it has like a thick layer of white chocolate or pink chocolate in Percy Pig's case. Jeremy just pointed out that this gin has a light flavor. in the background and it looks like it has golden flow like it's a golden schlager or some citrus gin for Christmas that looks like a snow globe.

It's quite surprising, it's quite a fancy gin, but it's only 15 pounds, foreign fondant fantasies and I love it. Oh, mmm, look how fancy that jar of chocolate is. I'm assuming you put it as frosting on a cake or it's just a cake contained in a jar. I love it, it sounds amazing, delicious and convenient, oh they have a bakery that has, ooh, delicious. looking like buns, some nasty looking butter croissants, oh that danish looks amazing too, it's just me, it's these more prepared foods, look, there's a banoffee cake in a dessert jar, let's try that for dessert, since we quite missed the other ice creams we have collected. of things we should probably check out now I guess it's a good thing we didn't get an actual cart because we filled our basket with a variety of random things we probably don't need, but we're about to try them I guess it's a good thing we didn't buy much more because it wouldn't have fit in the bag on our last trip.

video, that they sell them in the US and when we got back to the US I realized that yes, they are a thing, but I've never had them or noticed them before but I don't think they're as good as these now Pamela you look great does she have pesto eyes too they look like this I'm a creepy smile she looks like this yeah Pamela the thing smells pretty good, I mean, it looks like some kind of naan with cheese or pizza dough or something, but yeah, I thought it was going to be more like naan than that. was that the cheese mixture is really good, although it's okay, I really like it, it's like a kind of cheese pizza, yeah, it's pretty good, although it's pretty good.

This sharing hole toad meal was three pounds fifty and looks pretty tasty there. the oven, but I guess while we wait for that I'll warm up with a snack of some fries, these were the prosciutto and Formaggio. I can really taste the cheese and the prosciutto is there too, but yeah, they're pretty good, they look good. It smells very fragrant even just by bringing it to my face, the cheese is very nice and has a really nice taste, butthere are definitely layers of flavor. I don't know either, I didn't expect them to be crispy, they're almost like a kettle cooked chip, where's what it says on the bag and well cooked chips, that's how you know they're fancy, look at that crunchy crunch, it smells good, that is incredible?

I love Yorkshire pudding with anything I think it has No matter what you put in it it's delicious, it's a really nice mix and for something that's just been thrown in the oven for 20 minutes it's pretty good, having a nice Carby dinner but Quite tasty, watching one of my favorite game shows in the UK mindlessly. I just remembered that I still have some desserts to try as well, but I'm curious because I feel like the Hole totem on its own needs something a little more. Jeremy said he wishes we had brown sauce or something, but I wonder if you put sauce on it like you would. roasted potatoes or roasted ice cream, what do you put in the toad's hole?

What do you add to it? and milk-flavored foam sweets. I feel like they look like the sharks we have in the US where they're like half me and half clear jelly beans, but he's mostly the foamy type with just one little ear, I'm not sure. what is the taste of fruit, but it's nice, I like it, yes, it's just sugary, sweet and delicious. The fruits listed on the back are apple, tangerine, elderberry and red grape, oh okay, it's a bit like a fruit punch, how cute, oh these. Are they really the same consistency or do we get some extra chewy old ones?

I don't know, there were a lot of bags of Percy Pig. I don't know, they're so good. I love these. I like the taste of the raspberry milk mixture, yes. We're back and I'm going to try a couple more things that Jeremy cooked for us, which was a quirky old beer and a meatloaf and, um, yeah, the veggie chicken, hmm, they smell like chicken, they have a good seasoning.

I realized that the UK also has corn products. I don't know if little chicken nuggets are the same in the UK as they are in the US but these remind me of those little tender chickens, they are quite good, they have good seasoning, yes they are similar to that, I think they have better seasoning than corn, although they still smell a lot like chicken, yes very good, looks good, it steams a lot so I can smell the beer, looks pretty good. I think I maybe went a little overboard with the crust, but the flavor inside is very nice.

I think a couple of you told us to try these as more premium cakes and I think they're worth it. We tried another one as a ready-made pie last time and I thought it was okay, it's actually quite good, yes one thing I'm noticing is the steak here seems very good quality, the ready-made meals I think are less, but the frozen equivalent would be much less delicious, oh my gosh, that's really good right, that meat is so tender it melts in your mouth and it's really oniony, I can taste a lot of the cooked onion and a little bit of beer, yeah it's really good, it's got that quirky old beer, it makes it a treat, it was really good, it's probably my favorite thing.
