EXTREME ROOM MAKEOVER | LIVING + DINING TRANSFORMATION

makeover

. We are redesigning the

living

room

, the

dining

room

, it will extend to the kitchen. This entire main floor space will look completely different. I really wanted to change everything here, have a completely new layout, all new furniture and really just give this whole space a completely new look because it looks a little dark, a little drab, nothing really matches, so I would love to have a Here there is a beautiful design space and I think it's about time today's video is sponsored by Mod C and I have partnered with Mod C to totally transform and redesign this space.

I planned to show exactly where everything was because I have these little windows everywhere. I have a sliding door and a small pony wall and I just wanted to specify all the different measurements and exactly where things were so that when I ordered the furniture everything would fit perfectly. so once I sent all the measurements, floor plan, and before photos to my mod designer C, I was finally able to go ahead and start taking this style quiz. This style quiz really helped me hone in on a design that is reflected in all these different photos of interior spaces and you identify which ones you like, which ones stand out and do the same with the furniture as well, so you can really specify which furniture you like. they like, what style they like and also what they don't like.

It's also very important so that you don't end up with things you don't like, so after completing the questionnaire, the results of my style were rustic and modern and after reading the little details, it totally sounds like me. it's a little bit mid century a little bit rustic a little bit transitional it's like this mix of different things so I really feel like they nailed it and you can also tell your designer motsi any specific things that I need to know I needed a comfortable sofa if we Let's get rid of this big brown sofa that is super comfortable but not very pretty.

I needed a beautiful but comfortable sofa to replace it and didn't want anything crazy like heavy assembly. Since this is a rental space, I didn't want to damage any walls. You can also let your designer Monty know which pieces you want to keep and not keep like I was keeping the coffee table. I really like that coffee table and I think we can really incorporate it into the new design and we will also keep the media unit, so I gave all that information to Montse's designer and she came back very quickly with two design plans and they were amazing, Honestly, if you look at this rendering and it's like I'm in space, it looks so realistic, everything was so accurate that I came up with two different design plans, one that was more neutral and one that had a pop of color, so which allows you to sit there and It's kind of going back and forth between them and really specifying what things you like and what things you don't like, and Monte has an awesome feature now that is a style editor and a live sharing option for that you can play on your own. time and really swap in and out pieces that you can really customize your own look, it really makes it fun and easy to play with the floor plan putting in new pieces, taking out pieces and really just playing with the layout.

I was very kind. I chose design one because it had all neutral colors, but there were certain things I wanted to change. I wanted to change the section she provided. I wanted to add a small accent chair to the living room design just a little bit. little and wanted to get a new dining room table so after spending some time on it we went back and forth and ended up loving the 7 design so by going through the different designs we came up with you really see how the design evolves and changes . exactly what I want. I have never ordered furniture online.

makeover

and I guess we're going to start with the living room. everything there and then we make our way to the dining room once all that stuff arrives, so let's go ahead and get rid of all our old stuff. oh my gosh, they're here, the first piece just got here.

Oh my god, it looks so heavy. I feel really bad, but guys, that's exactly what I wanted. I'm really happy that they brought some of the cushions because they're very light, you know, I don't want to be too afraid to clean them, so each cushion has this kind of zipper. Off the cover and you can literally put it in the washing machine, which is why I chose the light color because I could keep it clean, but I'm so excited that it will brighten up this whole space. Look, how perfect it is. My God! I love it, it fits perfectly.

It fits exactly how we thought it was going to look from there. Mon. Look at the render. It comes with so many cushions and it's great because you can move them around. Doesn't it light up this entire space now that the main piece? Now we have all the furniture, let's start bringing in the rug, we can put the coffee table back, build our side tables, start decorating a little, it already looks a hundred times better, so it's time to bring in the rug, the rug is also from the west. Elm and it has a beautiful pattern like Aztec style with desert vibes and I love the texture.

I love the different colors. I think it was the perfect find. Wow, this is perfect. I love it, it's very soft and matches the sofa. goes with everything, it was a really good idea, the legs of the sofa went perfectly with the coffee table, so I'm going to put the coffee table back and I think the shapes will really work well together and really warm up this space, perfect, Wow. Seriously, this looks like a new table. I love how much you incorporated my existing furniture into the design and it seems like everything turned out well. Now it's time to bring in our little side chair.

Wow, really. That's super comfortable. I'm going to snuggle him with some pillows and a blanket, but I love the way he looks. I love that it's like we went up a little bit, so it's actually very comfortable and the fact that now I can do it. See the entire sofa if we have guests, it is much better for conversation and entertainment. You may also notice that we are mixing some woods here. I had all the existing dark wood and I really wanted to lighten it and mix it with some of this natural wood and I think it looks very boho and it goes with all my little baskets and woven things so I think it will really brighten this space and make it look a little brighter, so I'm almost done with the living room. here and I can't believe the way it looks, I feel like I'm in someone else's house, it's amazing, it's like a hotel, it's so beautiful, almost too beautiful to touch, it's amazing and it's everything I wanted , so I'm very happy.

Right now I'm going to add all my little finishing touches here to really complete the look. The next thing we have to do is work on the dining room and right now it looks like this, so it's a problem, but we'll fix it. and we will show them all the revelation. It's day two of this extreme room makeover and today we're working on the dining room where I'm sitting right now, we moved half of this brown couch from downstairs to an extra room we have. down there, but now we have two corner pieces and an ottoman left, so we're going to donate them.

Someone can turn it into a couch and it's very comfortable and I think they'll like it, so let's donate it. right now and make some space here and get rid of all this old stuff and make way for all the new stuff oh, this isn't bad, okay, he seems happier than he is, but he is, this is good, this is going to be heavier, right? you hold it oh yeah the group doesn't do that why okay we finally have this whole dining room space empty and it looks huge. I'm like, wow, I don't remember it being that big, so I'm really excited to get started. decorating with all new Monty furniture everything was delivered and is here and ready to be installed so I think I saw in Monte's design plan that they suggested the Pels rectangular table here we landed on these really beautiful wishbone chairs and I'm so excited because it will match the living room so well and it will also tie in a lot with the kitchen and highlight this whole space, so again, that's the main plan here, to make a looking area like modern, boho, rustic, traditional , whatever the topic.

It's a lot of stuff and it's all beautiful, so anyway, let's start building the table. I hired Christian to help me because he's been a huge help today and it's brand new, all people together, let's go ahead and make design seven come to life. we have the table, it's cool because it has this piece of leaf that goes in and out now we have these dining room chairs hidden behind the island. I love how this looks because the table is very narrow and the chairs still create this volume in this space over here so everything doesn't look so slim and minimalist and again it looks like the living room and everything will look so amazing together now we're going to change out these stools to style this area and we have to clean this all up Okay guys we just finished this whole open concept living space and it's amazing.

I can see everything from this angle here and it's exactly what I wanted. It's great to see this entire design put together from the 3D renderings of our design plans. From the style I took on mod C, it's amazing because it's exactly what I was going for, so they really nailed it and I couldn't be happier anyway, you guys remember how they looked, really dark big furniture, nothing really matched. I love all the textures. There are so many textures here. This living room is probably my favorite part of this entire room. I love how it now allows for conversation. It makes more people able to come in here. sit down I love that this little poop adds extra seating you can like have a game night over here I'm really excited to have people here now and I'm really proud of my home and as you can see Stu is obsessed with this chair. He hasn't moved since we put this chair here. He loves it. I'm so happy I added this side chair here because it was part of the design evolution.

We didn't have it in the first plan and I really wanted Add that that changes the floor plan a little bit and it's so huggable Edie is comfortable and pretty that's really what I was looking for and then the dining room flows really well here and for some reason We have a bigger table but it totally opened up the space and it feels bigger here. I love this table, it matches all the existing wood furniture we kept and adding these bright white wishbone chairs here with this beautiful woven texture matches our side chair. in the living room they are also super comfortable, they have a backrest, they have armrests and I feel like it hugs you, so I really love them.

It also goes great with my existing mirror that was here. I love the design. that motsi created really incorporated my pieces very well and made everything work amazingly and I love our new additions to the kitchen. I really tied the whole look together and pushed it this way with new stools that really accentuate our pillows well and just a little bit. details everywhere to tie this all together anyway, it's been amazing to partner withmod Z on this makeover, they really helped me. I loved having a second opinion on everything. I loved having design tips and being able to see everything visually before I went.
