EXPOSING The LIES Told About The Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry

Apr 02, 2024
They are not going to win again without kd. That thing about the train trip being over. We are light years away from the Warriors being light years away from everyone else in the league. What the hell are you doing? Bob Myers, you know how much I hate saying this, right? now, but to be honest with you, I don't see the Golden State Warriors bringing home another championship. The Warriors everyone talks about, the only way they use a dynasty is because a kd show didn't and it's over, the Golden State Warriors returned to a familiar place. They are on top of the NBA world, the fourth title in eight years, the Dubs dynasty is still very much alive, so the Golden State Warriors have done it again, just two years after being the worst team in the NBA, they have found themselves back. on the mountaintops as they lifted their fourth championship in the last eight years, a feat in itself that would easily make this one of the most impressive dynasties the league has ever seen, but more importantly, an achievement which finally puts the rest into various narratives that have been placed on this team unnecessarily now I can understand that some people may have doubts and hesitations, however, these beliefs and concepts that many people were pushing for the last two or three years that the Warriors would never again win a championship, they would never again be able to compete at the highest level, they would somehow, from the franchise level, have made several mistakes.

To me, it was idiotic. I have never seen a team that has had so much success in such a short time and now received so much harsh criticism. I get it, I get it, you're definitely going to hear enough of this underdog talk from Draymond Green and Warriors fans on social media over the next few months, but I honestly don't think they'd be wrong to have their return from the victory this time. It was a team that was doubted as if it were a young, promising roster that had never proven itself or as if this team was built in the offseason and it was difficult to understand its true potential due to chemistry issues.

exposing the lies told about the golden state warriors and steph curry...

This team has not been the most successful franchise in the NBA for the last eight years with a percentage of 68.2 percent in the last eight years the Warriors are so far ahead of the rest that the margin between them and the second best team within of that In the same span, the Toronto Raptors are 5, claiming that the Golden State Warriors would have never won a championship again or claiming that they made horrible decisions was literally attacking history and the only time that happens is when people start to accept the narratives if Kevin Durant don. I'm not going to

state

, will they win two more championships?
exposing the lies told about the golden state warriors and steph curry
That is the question you should ask yourself. It's amazing to me that I have to sit here and take the time to explain this to people, but I guess briefly, what's it like? It's possible that a team that made it to two Finals could win a championship and in the process beat Kevin Durant en route to another Finals appearance somehow needs Kevin Durant, that literally makes no sense to me, but it What's even more worrying is that you didn't even do it. I have to wait until kd leaves this team to prove that they didn't need him.
exposing the lies told about the golden state warriors and steph curry
The Warriors were still a competent team when Kevin Durant had off nights or was on the bench or even during games in which he simply didn't play. Golden State actually had a 13-game winning streak at the end of the 2017 season without Kevin Durant. This is the same Warriors team that shut down the Houston Rockets in 2019 in Game 6 without Kevin Durant and then proceeded to sweep the Portland Trail Blazers. in the western conference finals without kevin durant, so again this idea that they needed him to get to the finals or win a championship I never understood at all or at least I can understand it in some way if it is based on another narrative and it is that they can surpass lebron james, i don't think so, so i think they went after kevin durant because they knew they needed kevin durant to surpass lebron james.
Now, to many people, this may seem like sound logic. Lebron was able to take the Warriors to six games without Kyrie and Kevin loving each other and the next year when they were both healthy they ended up winning the series now again on the surface it makes a lot of sense but coming to the conclusion that the Cavaliers are very ahead of the others. Warriors and it doesn't make sense to me because the series still went to seven games if they won the series in five or four games it's understandable but when a series goes to seven games and it takes literally one of the best shots and blocks in the NBA. story of the cavaliers winning the seventh game by four points, that literally means that the gap between the cavs and the

warriors

in 2016 was not that wide, they were quite even teams, slight improvements, adjustments, that the players were healthy or simply had better performance could have easily changed the outcome of that. series, so no, it wouldn't have been that hard for me to believe if the next year the Warriors came back and ended up beating the Cavaliers because that's how close they came to winning in 2016, but instead people just jumped to these conclusions and Claiming that they needed Kevin Durant, that the necessary upgrade from Harrison Barnes to KD made the difference, well the reality is that's not true again, an upgrade from Harrison Barnes was needed, but they didn't have to move on from Harrison's end. from barnes to kevin durant, they could have gotten a player somewhere in between, which is why this lie doesn't make any sense to me either.
Do you think the Golden State Warriors dynasty is over? The answer to that is obviously. and unequivocally yes, the day after the Warriors lost their only real ability to add another star when they traded, when they traded D'Angelo Russell to get Andrew Wiggins and a pick we would never see again in Steph Curry in the Finals. I want to be very careful in this segment of the video because I don't want to be disingenuous with what I'm going to say next when people criticized Andrew Wiggins' trading at that time two years ago. I totally understand where some of what's coming from Wiggins is that he was grossly overpaid, he was an inefficient volume score and he was supposed to be the face of a franchise and he had fallen far, far short of that mark, so yeah, he was Just being critical of the Warriors at that time and trying to rewrite history is a disservice to Andrew Wiggins because part of his story is the massive changes he made to his game to ensure he can become a winning player, so What people who try to rewrite history just to have an igachi moment, I don't.
I think it's fear, however, what I do think is a little scandalous is that the Warriors needed to trade Wiggins or D'Angelo Russell and the draft picks they had to find another star, which in my opinion is the reason main thing that Nick Wright looks like. This belief that the Warriors desperately needed another star alongside Curry to win a championship or even compete for one is ridiculous when they once again reached the Finals twice with Harrison Barnes, so all Wiggins had to being is a slight improvement over Barnes and the Warriors clearly should have been the favorites to win another championship and if you really go back and look at how poorly Harrison Barnes played in the 2015 and 2016 Finals, you would realize that the bar wasn't that high for wiggins except the part in this nick wright segment that really blows my mind and for some reason people constantly overlook it is this lie he says that young players never help teams in games of playoffs.
Young players don't help you in the playoffs unless you're the raptors if you really know basketball history how could you say kevin mchale was a rookie in 1981 coming off the bench when they won that championship Horace Grant was in the fourth year in 91 when the Bulls won their first chip Tony Parker Manny Ginobili won his first championships as rookies and sophomores kawhi leonard was a junior when he won the mvp finals both byron scott and james worthy were at the beginning of their careers when they won their first championship and ironically Draymond Green was a junior in his first season as a starter when he won his first championship in 2015.
Nick Wright just

lies

throughout the history of the NBA there have been young players who They contributed to championship rosters, especially those who played for Dynasty. You're lying, but that still wasn't the most disrespectful thing. because we haven't even talked about the

lies

that were

told

about Stephen Curry, he still hasn't had that um, that kind of great, put the team on your back in the final moment, now I can make a whole video debunking several lies that were

told

They have said. about Stephen Curry in recent years, however, the one lie that is constantly told about Stephen Curry that simply needs to stop is the idea that Stephen Curry is either your bad playoff player or you just can't trust him in the bigs. moments, which is not the case. just a big lie but completely disrespectful to one of the greatest players to ever touch a basketball.
We were talking about someone who averaged 26 points, six rebounds, six assists, one and a half steals on 59 true shots in the finals and that's what Curry averaged. In this year's Finals, we're talking about someone who people constantly push with this narrative that he's a favorite and only performs when his team is up, when that's completely incorrect, not only have the Warriors been down and eventually They won more series than any other team in the NBA since 2015, but Curry also performed miraculously in every situation or how about this belief that Curry never had a great final game?
This ideology was perpetuated even this year after Curry had a miraculous fourth game I definitely don't want to take anything away from him because he was sensational, but the next day people were acting like it was the first time Curry did it, he finally did it oh Oh my god, it was spectacular, but that's not the case. Game 5, end of 2015, Curry scored. 37 points in the fourth quarter, the game was tied at 75 apiece, Curry is then subbed out and then proceeds to score 17 points in the last 10 minutes of the fourth quarter to give his team the victory, so to speak, he has never had a great final game in his life is lying, fyi, that performance made

curry

one of five players in the last 25 years to score 17 points in the fourth quarter of a finals game shaq did it kevin durant and westbrook they did it, of course,

curry

did it and the other player is Stephen Curry again Curry not only scored 17 points in the fourth quarter of game five, he did it again in game three of the 2015 finals.
Curry He did it twice in the same finals where people act like he never performed well again. It makes no sense and the fact that we, as an NBA community, have allowed this lie to perpetuate for several years is disgusting. Curry is an exceptional postseason player. You can't get to that many finals with or without Kevin Durant otherwise. He doesn't show up in the big moments, especially when we're talking about a player who's been on a team that's been down in several series or has been down by double digits in several games and has had to deal with adversity his entire career and I.
I'm happy that Curry gave us more examples to continue debunking this narrative, but that's the problem: Golden State War is the franchise that has reached a level of success where they shouldn't have to prove anything or debunk narratives that many people have perpetuated in recent years a franchise led by a trio that has been so dominant, so revolutionary, so outrageously successful, that it would be ridiculous to compare them to any other NBA team in the six years since 2015. dre or clay have played at least one regular season game the

warriors

have added 375 victories in the regular season a mark so high that 13 nba teams have not been able to eclipse it in the last 10 years a level of success that is so incomprehensible that If you were to pick the best six years in the history of many franchises, they still couldn't reach that level of success when you look at their winning percentages, so the only way we can really evaluate that level of success. is if we were to look at the best six years of other previous dynasties and yes, this includes the best six years of bill russell's boston celtics the best six years of the showtime lakers the best six years of byrd mikhail and the parish celtics the best six years of the pippin bulls and jordan the best six years of tim duncan tony parker nobly managing the spurs and when you start doing it you realize that the warriors' winning percentage is on par with any other great dynasty of all times and when you start Looking at it from that point of view really helps contextualize how silly some of these narratives have been, but hey, those are just my thoughts.
