s and it is the fifth largest island country in the world. One of these islands is Coron, Palawan. It is blessed with beautiful coastlines, towering limestone cliffs that have stood for millions of years, and clear, abundant seas. We cannot deny that it is one of the most beautiful islands in the world, which is why many people are attracted to visit it, including me. The town proper of Coron is part of Busanga Island, but most island hopping activities take place on Coron Island.

The islands of Coron, Busuanga, Calauit, Culion, Linapacan and other smaller islands are part of what is called the Calamian group of islands. It may be confusing at first to differentiate between the islands and the city proper of Coran and Busuanga, but when you look at the map, they have clear differences from each other. Now, how can we get to Coron, Palawan? Busuanga Airport serves as the entry point to Coron and Busuanga. There are   flights available from Manil, Cebu and Clark. In my experience, I was lucky enough to get a cheap round-trip ticket worth 969.08 pesos thanks to my Cebu Pacific voucher (also known as CebPass).

Since we were staying in Coron for a week, we chose Coron Island Tour A, Coron Island Tour B, Island Escapade Tour, and Reef and Shipwreck Tour. If you are planning to visit Coron only for a few days, maybe two or three days, I suggest you choose the Coron Ultimate Tour because it is a condensed version of Tour A and B but includes the best places like Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake, Twin Laguna, Skeleton Wreck, Sunset Beach, CYC Beach, The Coral Islands and Reef Garden. You can also consider the Island Escapade Tour and the Reef and Wrecks Tour.   To explore Busuanga Island, Coron Town, Calauit Island Safari and Maquinit Hot Springs, we opted for a DIY trip.
It's cheaper because we rent a motorcycle for 500 pesos a day and we fuel it for 200 pesos and for me it's more fun because we have control over our time. We can also do excursions. In fact, I made a separate video about our DIY journey. Please see the description below. Of course food is essential. Where can you eat in Corón? Lunch and snacks are provided free of charge during island hopping tours, so all you'll have to think about is breakfast and dinner.   There are many bars and restaurants in the city of Corón and the nightlife here is alive.
As budget-conscious travelers, we cooked our own dinner in our accommodation. We save money by buying fresh seafood at the Coron Town market and our guesthouse has its own kitchen. The market is conveniently located near the pier, so after the island hopping, we simply walked there. For breakfast we usually have pandesal (a bread) and coffee and when we are too lazy to cook, we eat in restaurants where a meal costs around 85 pesos and that includes rice. Coron Island is incredibly beautiful.  Even from afar you can tell that

exploring

here would be an awesome experience, almost like a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Its crystal-clear seas and lakes, towering limestone cliffs, fine sand beaches, otherworldly coral

reef

s, abundant marine life and historic ship

wrecks

contribute to its impressive appeal. Now let me take you on a visual experience of the island hopping activities we do.
