Every Alesis Drum Set Worth Buying (2022)

Mar 29, 2024
Hello and welcome back to 65 Drums, my name is Justin, today we will be reviewing the entire Alesis

drum

line to see which

drum

s are

worth

purchasing and which ones I would personally stay away from the number one drum kit, the Alesis E drum kit, with a total of 279. dollars the total of

alesis

edrum which also belongs to the brand the debut of elise in some places is a drum pack that I would stay away from it comes with a drum, the drumsticks and the headphones, that is probably the reason why This drum set sells so well with parents, but I would stay away from this, the snare and toms are only six inches wide, the drum rack is incredibly small, and the drum pedals are those plastic style things. casio keyboard that will not teach any child the proper technique that the child is using. outgrow this battery incredibly fast, which means parents will have to buy a second battery, wasting even more money, so

buying

a better battery from the list will save you time and money in the long run, so next we have the

alesis

.

The turbo mesh reaches 300. The Elisa's turbo mesh is better in several aspects. The first is that the snare and tom pads are now 8 inches wide instead of 6 inches and the hi-hat and kick pedals have been improved, the only downside to that. with this kit is that you don't get those dollar store headphones and they don't throw you the battery, although the battery is not in my bilas because it doesn't have a kick tower, so I would upgrade to the third battery on the list, alesis Nitro Mesh is the cheapest Alesis battery I would personally buy. The main improvements are the drum module and the bass drum tower.

More Interesting Facts About,

every alesis drum set worth buying 2022...

This one actually has one that I think is vital to learning the proper technique that you need to have. a real kick pedal hitting a real surface of some kind, the only thing I need to warn you about is that while it can technically work with double pedals, the mallets touch the edges of the pad and you need to turn up the sensitivity on the module. so this is not really a drum kit that you would want to learn metal with, so the kick tower is a big upgrade, but they have also improved the module, it is now the nitro module, as well as having USB midi, it also has input midi and ports it has more sounds and it has more editing capabilities in fact I don't think the previous drums could edit any sounds and finally you get expansion ports if you want to make the drums a little bigger now it's complicated The thing is there are several Versions of this battery, the first iteration is the Nitro SE, which is basically the exact same thing with a coat of red paint and a module with a red tinted display.

The next variation is the Alesis Nitro Mesh Expanded Edition which takes advantage of those two expansion ports and gives you a second crash and a fourth tom pad and the final version of the Alesis Nitro is the Se Mesh Expanded Edition so it comes in red , but it's more or less exactly the same. I came across one of these. in a guitar center, but since then it doesn't seem like they actually sell it in their online stores last time I checked, now let's move on to the next battery on the list, the Elisa Surge Mesh comes in at $580, so what are the updates?

If you choose this set compared to the previous one, both drum sets have exactly the same module and symbols, but

every

thing else is improved, the toms on the boost are dual zone, you get a larger mesh bass drum instead of rubber , the box now measures 10 inches. wide instead of 8 inches wide and finally the drum frame is heavier and taller than the nitro, so to me those are some pretty significant improvements, but the problem is that if you look at the expanded nitro mesh and the increase, I will have to choose between having more components or having improved components.
If I had to choose between the two, I would choose the surge mesh because I really hate 8 inch drums. This one is a little bigger, which means I'll feel more. At home when I play this, I enjoyed using this battery when I tested it in fresh water. I need to have a drum rack that is a little taller because I am very tall and ultimately prefer to have dual zone tom pads instead of single zone ones, so I would personally go with the rise, but I understand why some people might lean towards the expanded nitro mesh.
The next battery on the list is the Elise Command Mesh, which costs eight hundred dollars. it's just an upgrade if you choose this battery and that's the module, instead of getting the alesis nitro you get the alesis command module, it's a little more advanced and that's the reason for the big price increase for those who care . I'll put the specs on the screen so you can decide if the module upgrade is

worth

it for you, but here's the thing: the whole point of going for an Alesis battery in the up to eight hundred dollar price range is the fact that you're getting a large mesh battery for a small amount of money and the way alesis makes this happen is by cheapening how good the modules are and part of the quality of the components if you are trying to buy an elisa battery and not worried about the module of drums, you are missing the point of choosing Alesis, at least in my opinion, if I were to buy an Alesis drum in this price range, I would go down to the Alesis surge mesh because it is the exact same set of pads just with a module lower level, so there is another version of elise command and it is called elise x mesh command.
This battery costs another hundred dollars, so now it's nine hundred dollars and what you get is a second. accident symbol and a coat of red paint on

every

thing now let's move on to the next drum set on the list elise's crimson 2 it comes to 1100 hello jamie from alesis drums here to show you our new drum kit the alesis crimson 2 special edition now, this drum kit is significantly better than command line battery in many different aspects. The first is that you get a real three-zone symbol with a bell zone, which is actually very nice. Another thing is that you get a 12-inch battery. snare that comes on a snare stand, I really like it and you are also getting better heads all around, there are thicker white mesh heads which I enjoy the feel of playing a little more, the crashes are two inches larger than the hi-hat.
It's two inches bigger and the floor tom is also two inches bigger when I play these drums I have a pretty good time. I like this kit. I still want to remind you that the kick drum is not the best, so if you play I would avoid this set, but it is still a decent drum kit, so one thing we should mention before moving on to the next drum kit on the list is that this is the third version of Elise's Crimson we have. crimson 1 crimson 2 and crimson 2 is crimson 2 is still in some stores. You can buy a guitar hub right now for I think $800, so technically it's a better deal.
I won't put it as an official battery. However, it's on the list because I don't think they make it anymore and it will eventually run out, so now let's move on to the next battery on the list, the Elise dm10 mk2 pro, which costs $1,400, so the alesis dm10 in paper it's a pretty good drum kit, you now get a fourth tom pad, the symbols are bigger on the module, although it's not really much better than the previous one, technically it's a higher level, but the problem for me is that when I sat down and played these drums.
I wasn't very impressed. The sounds from the module are really bad. You can get away with the cheaper batteries. You know Alesis is sacrificing the module to get you a bigger battery that works great. on the three and five hundred dollar batteries and they can even squeak by on Elise's crimson two, but when you start charging fourteen or fifteen hundred dollars you can't get away with it anymore, what I would do is take a step back and the crimson or move on to the next drum set on the list, which is the leesa strike. So what does the elisa strike have to offer over the dm10 that we just covered?
The first is that the bass drum is larger and is a little lighter than I would like, but I enjoy the larger size and think it is a better bass drum. The box is now 14 inches wide instead of 12 inches wide. The cymbals, while not really bigger, are improved. a different type of symbol which gives them a nicer feel you get a top hat on a stand and the drum module is much better than the alesis dm10 it has faders on the front it has direct outputs on the back a color screen a library Huge sound system that has a lot more detail than the previous module most of the sounds aren't great but there are some really standout kits that I really enjoy using now there are some downsides to using this kit the first is that you are losing out on a crash and you don't get the fourth tom pad.
You can also argue that the older hi-hat is better because a lot of people have problems with these hi-hat versions on the Elisa Strike, but the one thing I've noticed that I don't feel like anyone has been mentioning is that this drum kit is probably on its way out. . This battery will probably be upgraded at some point. I don't know when to do it. the alesis strike s e if there is a new updated version called the strike se you will probably get all the white mesh heads which I think feel a little better, you will probably get the new updated hi-hat which is a little bigger and has the possibility that You get the biggest kick drum, so keep that in mind if you're thinking about purchasing the basic Elisa Strike and that brings us to the last drum set on the list, the Alesis Strike Pro Se which comes next.
At $2,699, this is the biggest price increase of any drum set on the list, but that extra $800 is enough: you get two extra crash symbols, you get a larger hi-hat, you get a fourth tom pad, and a 20 inch speaker. kick drum that feels much heavier and much more natural the mesh heads are also different they come in white and seem a little heavier to me this is the best electronic drum set at least this one has had setbacks and problems with this Although it is not the everything perfect, people complain about the travel symbol. People have mentioned that they've had bad luck with tall hats, although I haven't had any personal problems with them, so it's not entirely perfect, but I feel like what elisis has achieved.
What you have to do is follow that middle line in which they offer you a huge battery with a good module while keeping the price quite low, obviously Alesis does not have the quality of some of the Japanese electronic drum companies, but follow that middle line and has created a drum kit that I think a lot of people would like to play and of course if you need to have a really serious high-end electronic drum kit that you want to play live or something like that, you can always buy it. a more expensive battery, there are plenty of other companies that are willing to take your money, but in my opinion this battery is pretty good for what it's trying to accomplish and that's the whole alesis line.
Watch the other videos in the series. about the whole roland line and the whole yamaha line if you want to learn more about those companies have an awesome day i will see you all in a few
