sciencetake it away Timmy oh hey guys what's up ok so let's just get started so as usual I can't possibly test all the guns and combinations if I ever want to finish a video like this so I narrowed down my testing to three guns the m4a1 the ak-74m and the sa-58 foul and again I'm gonna caveat all of this with the disclaimer that the data stats and pricing should be accurate to the current patch much of what was tested was done during point 10 but while I was working on this patch point 11 came out I don't believe anything...
really has changed in point 11 other than adding a few new attachments the core mechanics I think are the same but any of these specific values or how they affect the results can change at any time so again don't pay attention to the specific values or numbers pay attention to the overarching kind of theme and principles of what I'm talking about here now all this testing was done on a freshly reset account that I leveled to level 5 so I could you know transfer test items from my main account to the test account via the flea market all the applicable character and gun skill levels are at the starter values to limit any skewing of the data from skills of my level 50-something p.m. see these guns were chosen because the ak-74m is a very common gun as it has the best all-around base stats for the 5 4 5 8 k variants and starts with very little
recoilthe foul has a considerable amount of
recoilby comparison and is a newer gun that lots of people don't have experience with and the different m4a1 builds are actually quite different from each other on like some of the other platforms each gun was built in three variations the first was a stock gun just like he'd purchased directly from a trader a build attempting to maximize the
ergonomicsstat and a build attempting to minimize the
recoilstat now I added the pko six site to each gun in order to make you know at least one minor variable consistent across each build now these three builds are pretty damn close to as...
little modification as possible to get the desired result for example the minimum
recoilbuild could have additional attachments added or changes made to add additional
ergonomicsbut the goal was to focus on one stat in each build and avoid spending extra money to boost any of the other stats if a part couldn't have the desired stat improved it was left stock so without further ado let's Crocs try it in you it alright first let's take a deeper look into the three builds for each gun the stock ak-74m has 50 base ergo 55 vertical
recoilat 162 horizontal
recoilnow when modified for
recoilwas reduced from 55 down to 41 and horizontal was reduced from 162 down to 120 when modified for
ergonomicsthe ergo stat was increased from 50 to 87 now it's interesting to note that the only parts that differ between the
recoiland ergo builds are the handguard for grip muzzle and pistol grip every other part remains the same so overall the two modified aks are pretty similar the stock m4 has a base ergo of 49 vertical
recoilof 74 and horizontal
recoilof 182 the
recoilreduction build decreases the vertical and horizontal
recoildown to 47 and 115 respectively and the ergo build increases ergo all the way up to 100 now unlike the a.k the ergo and
recoilbuilds differed significantly in the parts chosen and as such have noticeably different looks and stats now the stock fowl has a base ergo of 66 vertical
recoilof 127 horizontal
recoilof 211 the
build decreases vertical down to 73 and horizontal down to 121 and the ergo build increases it to a surprising 96 so this build sits about in the middle between the a K and M for when it comes to the differences in parts needed for a go and
recoilnow let's compare the price tags for all the builds all units being in rubles he these values are affected by the current flea market economy my trader rep charisma skills etc so don't expect these values to be exact or to match yours necessarily to save some time and you know avoid repeating myself a million times during this video while I'm listing off results for any of the tests assumed going forward that I'm listing them in order from the stock gun then the
recoilfocus build and then lastly the ergonomic focus build so the a k bills cost thirty five thousand one hundred and eighteen thousand and one hundred and forty-one thousand the m4 builds cost seventy five thousand two hundred and twenty five thousand and two hundred and forty six thousand and the fowl builds cost one hundred and four two hundred and two and two hundred and five thousand roubles at this point you might be thinking wow I must be getting a ton of bang for my buck if I'm spending all that cash right well if I'm spending three to four times the price of the original gun am i improving the performance of the gun three or four times well let's see starting with
ergonomicsthere's always been a bunch of rumour and conspiracy...
around exactly what ergo does and a not a ton of resources out there currently with hard data we had a few hypothesis that we wanted to test and to what extent
ergonomicsaffected one the speed of aiming-down-sights two the loudness of the noise made when aiming down sights three the speed of stamina drain and regeneration and four the ability to navigate tight spaces now let's start by comparing the speed to aim down sights so adding one hundred and six thousand rubles in the ergo based attachments to the a k cuts down the time to 80s by approximately a third of a second adding an additional one hundred and seventy one thousand rubles to the Ergo based attachments on the m4 and a hundred and one thousand on the foul cuts down the time to 80s by both by about two tenths of a second now let's compare the sound made by each gun and build configuration because there's a ton of factors that affect the way that the guns sound the type of headphones made you know ambient environment noises on different parts of different maps etc I didn't want to give wrong numbers here so instead I'll just give a little bit of a sampling and share that organ amma caming down the site quieter to the point where it's nearly silent at least from the perspective of the person aiming the gun I didn't have the time to test this from an external perspective maybe I'll do that in the future now regarding stamina drain when aiming down sights I tested a few variations of the...
foul now first comparison was between two builds with drastically different
ergonomicsvalues 65 and 96 the 96 Argo fouled took 2 minutes and 21 seconds to use up all of the stamina and about 20 seconds to regenerate it fully the 65 economics build used all its stamina in just under one minute and regained the stamina in the same exact twenty second period unless I test all the guns I can't know if this ratio holds true for all of them but I can definitively say that increasing economics will decrease stamina drain when aiming down the sights but seems to have no effect on stamina regeneration speed now in order to control for weight being a factor I then built two fouls with almost the exact same weight just over 4.2 kilograms but different
ergonomicsvalues 66 and 96 to see if there'd be a measurable difference the lower or go foul drained all the stamina after 1 minute and 51 seconds and the higher go foul with the same weight drained all the stamina in 2 minutes and 47 seconds so for some reason this time around with the higher goal foul the stamina lasted 26 seconds longer than the first test even though they had the same Argo value and were only you know about 1/10 of a kilogram in weight difference you know perhaps one tenth of a kilogram weight is enough to add nearly 30 seconds onto your stamina drain time I'm not really sure how more testing would need to be done to confirm this but again both of these took 20 seconds to regen stamina fully so quickly...
touching on the last agro based metric the ability to navigate tight spaces without your aim being hindered it was a bit too awkward to come up with an objective test for this and in my limited testing it seems like the
ergonomicsvalue of the gun doesn't really matter at all instead the length of the gun is what matters I can fairly confidently demonstrate this at least with the foul by building a gun with different organ Onix values but the same overall length and noticing that they handle almost identically in tight spaces now on to
recoilI want to preface this all by saying I did the tests between the different guns on different days and as such the distances to the target weren't consistent so it wouldn't be fair to compare the spray patterns between the different guns all we should be doing here is comparing the different variations of the same gun to each other so starting with the ak-74m standing at a distance fairly common for many gunfights I shot 20 rounds fully-auto standing upright and did not use the mouse to manually compensate for
recoilat all I first shot the stock gun then the
recoilbased version then the ergo version now before I analyze the patterns I grab the screenshot of a pmc standing next to the wall doing this allowed me to have a few reference points now in this example the top and mid lines of the concrete wall for scaling purposes cutting out the background overlaying the image of the PMC in front of the wall aligning the reference...
lines to the mid and top lines of the concrete walls on every resulting screenshot I took and cutting the opacity to around 50% allowed me to show where the spray patterns would be if the first shot was aligned vertically at right about the center mass on the enemy this isn't necessarily where you're gonna want to be shooting but it's merely an attempt to get a practical point of reference to compare the results to now unlike games like csgo each spray pattern seems to be pretty random even with the same gun so with that in mind the true right way to do a full-on you know true scientific analysis of this you know spraying accuracy of each gun would be to collect a huge sample size of spray patterns for each gun you know average all of them out comparing some sort of normalized distribution between each build but I'm not going to do that for all intents and purposes what you see here gets us about 98% of the way to a good understanding in my opinion anyway what you see is essentially going to be the norm for you know all of the results I show going forward the primary observation is worth mentioning are that the groupings are surprisingly similar especially when you compare the stock and ergo builds the
recoilbased build always has a slightly better grouping in general without any sort of
recoilcontrol the first few shots usually the outliers and you know that's the muzzle climbs and then dips down with the remainder of the shots settling in place quite...
nicely and honestly all the guns pretty much perform satisfactorily so after this I moved on to point firing testing with each gun and compared the results we see the same sort of pattern here with a notable difference being that the spray patterns are obviously much larger both vertically and horizontally now again results would change if we repeated this a large number of times but I found it interesting that the horizontal spread when point firing on the stock build seemed to be the smallest in this example although it clearly had the tallest distribution this time around moving on to the m4 bills we did a similar standing fully Auto spray test again the results here follow the same pattern as before this time the stock build is on the right
recoilin the center and ergo on the left now all groupings were small enough that most shots would hit the target and of course the
recoilbuild had the tightest grouping of them all the next test involves stepping back to something I'm guessing is now maybe like 40 or 50 meters going prone and shooting full auto and not controlling the
recoilmanually at all this is the first time we see results that might make the difference between killing the enemy and not the stock bill did have more horizontal and vertical
recoiland the ergo build ended up shooting most of his shots over the head of the target assuming that the origin point of aim was like I mentioned somewhere near or below the center of mass whereas the
much better putting most shots into the chest neck and head areas now I want to stress again that this was completely uncontrolled by me the next two tests were close-range sprays while strafing first while aiming down the sights and then while point firing to get an idea for the amount of swaying climb that would occur on each build when aiming down sights all three of the guns put the majority of their ten round sprays into the chest and shoulders with the stock and ergo builds climbing from the waist area up to about neck and face and the
recoilbuild climbing from about center of mass you know to about top of the center mass you know top chest shoulders area when point firing while strafing all the bullets made nice arcs that would have gone right over the enemy at that distance if not controlling the spray at all now finally moving on with a foul we start to see some of the big boy
recoilfrom those 308 rounds it looks like both the stock and
recoilbuilds would result in head shots at the first shot was in the stomach area and recall was not compensated for all due to the lack of
recoilreduction whereas the
recoilfocused build would hit mostly in the chest in this case now I wouldn't typically advocate aiming for the stomach but this does make me start to think that it could be really useful over time to do something like this in offline mode with a gun you're planning on using more often to understand the general behavior of that gun you know you might be...
able to gather some useful heuristics around points of aim in the extent to which the natural
recoilpattern of the guns will extend across targets at different ranges doing a strafing point fire test we can see the
recoilbuild is the only one that without manual compensation keeps most of the rounds on target whereas the other two builds will lob bullets over the head of the enemies I feel I need to say when showing the raw level one you know bambino
recoilcompensation spray patterns is super informative from a raw mechanics point of view it doesn't really give an accurate idea of what these guns are like in the hands of a higher level player with some skill masteries applicable gun handling experience and
recoilcompensation practice so just for shits and giggles let's do a quick comparison between the stock and foreign foul and there recall counterparts when doing a mag dump had a fairly average distance while standing and then compare the difference between the two different builds with the difference made between simply going prone all other things being equal now only you can answer for yourself based on your own experience skill level budget and if it makes sense tactically for you if the money's spent to achieve the lowest possible
recoilfor your gun is worth it when you can achieve equal or better results with a stock gun simply by going prone so what if you want to make a few adjustments to get the most bang for your buck but don't want to go...
full-on blackwater operator elite status first things first I'd like to personally recommend that you put an optic on your gun any kind but at the very least toss a pko 6 on there and it'll help considerably especially at any sort of distance given that I think the benefits to survival gained from
recoilreduction far outweigh the benefits gained by focusing on increasing
ergonomicsI took a look at the
recoilreducing mods and compared the price paid for the item divided by the
recoilvalue to get the relative price pursed at point and chose some of the best from each category now this led to an interesting build that I haven't had before but ends up being kind of a nice well-rounded value firearm it has slightly worse
recoilreduction but it has improved weight and
ergonomicsand it costs over eighty thousand roubles cheaper than the minimum
recoilbuild now if you played for six hours on a Saturday and your average rate time is 30 minutes that means you're likely to die you know 1012 times a day meaning that you'll be saving a million rubles a day or more by not trying to min max your stats and going with the best possible
recoilreducing gun and you can do this with only you know a negligible performance hit so don't forget to the nicer stuff that you have you're less likely to get back in insurance you know if an enemy kills you and it's between your value AR and that fully min max tactical AR some other guy brought in you know and they...
