Enormous 98" TCL S5 LED TV - Best Deal Ever!

I think the picture quality on this TV looks fantastic for HDR. With a TV like this that is directly lit and has no dimming zones, you may not get perfect black levels like an OLED, but I see much better reflections here and there. I'm really impressed with this, but before we give it our seal of approval we better do a couple of tests, so the first test is the dirty screen effect. What you want to do is look at the hockey player and see if you notice any darker areas. behind it and this one, like many other LED and QLED TVs, you notice a little bit of dirt around it uh, it's not fantastic, you know, it could definitely be better. Can you see any of that? Jen. I like a good kind of dirty hockey, that's not what we're talking about, but the dirty screen on this isn't fantastic, however, we've made TVs, even 8K TVs from other brands that were three or four times more expensive than this one and they have equally bad dirty screen results, so I'm not necessarily alone. saying you know, give TCL a pass on this, I think it's in the middle and I think some people might say it's a little dirty, some people might say, hey, it's okay, you know, it depends on your level of dirt, but I've seen better and I've seen worse and I've seen worse on more expensive TVs so I think we just move on and then another test that we normally do is the local dimming test to see how well you can make the screen is black in one area and white in another. another area and you know, Jen, it's kind of irrelevant because there are no local dimming zones on this TV, which means it probably won't go perfectly black in these areas like some of the other TVs and OLED or matrix local dimming TVs really good completes. however, there are no blooming areas, so it's actually pretty uniform, looks 90 percent good like most other TVs, but doesn't have any of those side effects of the widescreen bars lighting up during movies, so I really like this and I.

I think it's a big win for the S5, yes, so it will be approved by the installer. Let's move on to the next test. The last test is the anti-reflective capabilities. This is not as good as the qm8. It's a little worse. It's a little more matte. I like it better than the very bright qm8, but overall it's as good as last year's r754. I don't see a lot of reflections and again I think this TV is bright enough to combat that so I thinkwhich is also good in that sense. I'm very impressed with this one and then you have the qm8, which you know. It used to cost ten thousand dollars now it costs like seven thousand dollars and it's brighter, it has local dimming zones but honestly I still think that for the price this S5 is fantastic. Look, you see the brightness that depends on us, all red because of how bright this TV is in the background, so I'm really impressed with this. I think it's a winner. I also want to say that we have seen the Sony x90l and again maybe it is better than this one. I'm not going to say it's not better, but it costs ten thousand dollars, so how much better is it? They both have Google operating systems, so. I'm just saying the big win for the S5 in my book.
