More Interesting Facts About,

elegant lighted crystal heart valentines day 2020 dollar tree 2020...

I also want to remind you that below, in the description box, we will find all the necessary elements. for this project, as well as contact information for me and the link to enter to win a very cute little sparkly owl keychain, which I do the giveaway on the first of every month around 2:30 3:30 EST Pacific, so without further ado. Let's go into this with a really cool project, so we're going to start by taking this

heart

and pretty much taking it apart so you can get this love out of there. You can try saving it if you want for another project sometimes. it comes off easily and in one piece and sometimes it doesn't, and then I find that removing this tinsel seems to be the easiest, starting from up here, there are these little bumps that it's attached to and you just let it go. of those little top bumps and then start removing them, it's pretty easy overall, once you start it goes very fast, just start initially with those first two little bumps on the top, okay, now that we get to At this point We're just going to go ahead and remove any other elements, like the little plastic tag, the little string that's here, and then we're going to cut off those little bumps that hold the tinsel in the easiest way.

What I have discovered to get them off is that you can use a pair of wire cutters or even easier and cheaper are these clippers that stroke the nail clippers from Dollar Tree, so they work great, you're just going to go for there and you're going to cut all the little bumps like you're cutting your pet's nails. You want to try to get as close to the main plastic part as possible. Here I got a little aggressive with mine and I actually broke it, but it's not going to be a big problem because we're going to glue two of these back to back and then also up here I did the same thing trying to get it out of that center part, like this Be a little careful, it's again.

If at least one of your hearts is going to be intact, you should be fine, so you're going to go through and do that on both hearts. You can see now we also have some little things where the plastic wasn't as good the way the hearts were made so what you're going to do with them is take your exact pick knife and go through them and just cut them out, they cut quite a bit. easy, getting away from yourself is probably a better plan, but any little ones you see anywhere just get scratched off and the other one you'll want to remove is this little tab here very carefully and try not to cut yourself and also not break your heart by At the same time, don't break your heart.
We're lovers here, not heartbreakers, well I guess maybe it's both, but you can actually cut it if I mean work it back and forth and it will break, so if you cut this side short, let's go. around and just clean this all up and then we'll continue once you've finished both hearts and you're happy with how they look, you're going to take them outside and spray them with any metal. paint or white paint of the color you would like to spray them with this time I am going with the metallic gold which means I will also be using the gold diamond wrap so if you make the metallic silver then you will probably want to make the silver diamond wrap or if you're doing white and you want to do a farmhouse style, then you can use nautical rope or twine or something like that, so I'm going to go ahead and paint this and leave it.
Back, okay, so a couple of things we can do while we wait for our hearts to dry is take your

crystal

chain. Now these are actually glass

crystal

s. I just like the way they feel better. I just think they look better. certainly get the plastic ones if you want and I have the link below where I bought them and also where I bought this teardrop one so you can check out below. The price is pretty reasonable and I bought them on Amazon but I'll leave that link below so what we're going to do is while you're waiting for the other parts to dry you're going to make eight pieces that are just a single crystal with the hook like this and then you're going to Make twenty pieces which are two crystals and the hook, so work on that and once you've made those, another thing we can work on is we're going to take our flowers.
You can use whatever flowers you have on hand and what we are going to do. What we're going to do with them is use them to hide this battery pack for our lights, so make sure you don't glue the battery pack, but what we're going to do is just take several flowers and stick them in there so that we can hide this and You want to be able to leave some access so you can go in and change the batteries, so I've decided to use two battery packs because I really love a lot of lights. I just think that's how it looks. pretty and adds so much you don't have to use two, it's up to you.
I glued the back sides because again you want to make sure you have those batteries accessible so you can change them out and then our cables will be on. the bottom and now I'm just gluing my flowers on, I just cut the little knot off of this with my fingernail, my pet clipped it with my pet nail clippers, that was, I don't know why it's so complicated and then I'm just going to go ahead and place them on several places and just cover all of this, but just make sure you can get to that screw and then the bottom side here where we actually turn them on and off.
Oops, I guess when you cut that bump off. It also cuts the other part, so that could be a problem. Make sure you glue everything together. If it comes apart, you may need to glue them separately. It didn't look like he was going to do that now, I guess to each his own. The cape is doing that, so don't cut the knot as much as I did. I guess that's the moral of the story. Oh, for God's sake, I have to glue each little layer of petals together, so I guess Confucius said he cut too. a lot of the bump is missing petals so be careful not to cut that little bump off too much and I'm really glad you guys can learn from my mistakes so anyway this is what we have so far.
I'm going to continue working on this and cover it and then we'll move on to the next step, before I completely glue all the flowers in place, what I do want to do is take a piece of your glitter wrap and you'll make something to hang. this so you can use it. I think I'm just going to use maybe two layers of my glitter wrap and create a little loop and then stick it here so I have something to hang this directly from. You can make your hook as long or as short as you want, it seems about right, gives you enough to attach to the plastic and enough to make a decent sized loop, so I'll continue. and cover the rest of this with my flowers and then we'll move on to the next step with our golden heart.
This is how my little battery pack turned out. I had to throw some leaves in there so you know I did it. I don't have enough white flowers, so anyway we'll put this aside now and take the heart and start attaching our little crystals. So what are you going to do the same way you would put a key in? on a keychain it's just a little split ring here, you're just going to split that ring and run it over each section of your plastic, if your heart hasn't dried very well, like overnight, it's going to take some of the paint off.
Don't worry, you're still going to have some small scratches, but it's actually not that bad if it's not really noticeable and once you get the hang of it, it turns red quickly at first, hitting the first one, so what are you doing? What we're going to do is attach the crystals to each section so that the double crystals go into the larger sections and then the little single crystals go into the small sections, so go through and place all those little crystals and then we'll be. Let's move on to the next step. Okay, once you have all the crystals there, what you're going to want to do is place them because they do slide and we want them to stay there, so we're going to be making a little dot of glue where you want them to stay. seat exactly so the trickiest ones are these ones here that are on the edges the other ones aren't too bad because you can just hold them upright, position them and then put the glue dot on so this will take a little bit of time because you have to let the glue dry before you can move on to the next one so go ahead take your time and glue each one of them down this is what you should look like once you have all the crystals glued in place and yes you are going to see that little blob of glue there, if that's something that bothers you, you can make your jewel wrapped strip.
I made a single strip here, you can do it with glue. through each one of them, for me it doesn't bother me so far, I don't see it as a problem, so what I'm going to do next is go around and stick my shiny wrapper all the way on this outer edge because Also I think it's going to add a really nice touch to the whole heart, so I'm going to start here at the top and start gluing now, sometimes hot glue doesn't stick to the painted surface, great, so if you're worried about that. this is going to be handled a lot and you want to make sure it doesn't come off, so you're also going to want to use e6000 probably in addition to your hot glue and just go all the way around and stick your glitter wrap on now this.
It was a three strand shiny wrap and I went ahead and cut one strand so I could do it around the edge and that left me with two strands which is what I used for the hanging hook on our battery pack so you can put it on as many layers as you want or as many rows, I should say, and just make it yours now. If you were doing the farmhouse version of this at this point you would probably be using nautical rope or twine and then I was thinking of some ideas about what to hang instead of crystals because crystals aren't really farmhouse II, they could give you maybe a shabby-chic style if you want, but you can hang it, you can take little strips of fabric that are cut and you can tie them into little knots which would be really cute to give it a shabby chic farmhouse style or you can tie some twine with some hanging beads where you maybe put one or two beads that you string on there and tie a knot at the bottom. so they don't fall off, so there are definitely options, use your imagination.
I didn't want to buy four of these hearts and make two versions, I'm so sorry guys I'm going with the glam version I think it will be really cool for my valentine oh my god guys I skipped a very important step and now that I finally I got this all glued together, my glow wrap, I realized that before you put the glow wrap on, you want to start wrapping your lights. I completely forgot about my favorite part, so I have my two battery packs here and I have the two cables going down and right here where the thickest part of the cable ends is where I'm going to start, so I'm going to go around the back. here and I'm going to glue them in place and I'm going to start wrapping them from there.
I'm gluing them together actually, I want them to be closer together if you want to join them together somehow, maybe. you want to wrap those wires in shiny wrap, that's another thought too, so I'm going to let the glue stick really well and then you won't need to do anything as far as gluing the lights because being wired, it'll just wrap around. and keep well around the plastic part. I've glued together the two little plastic parts that hold the wires and I'm going to take and start wrapping one at a time here and put one to the side now one of these wires here is going to go around the heart and partially to the center, so depending depending on how tightly you wrap it, you can have many around the outside, like making half the heart with one strand and the other half with the other strand or you can do it like I did before loosely, where one strand gives all theturn and then use the other one to twist it in the middle.
Here I'm going to start wrapping a little bit loosely and you want to get one through each section, so to keep it in place, I'm going to keep wrapping it and then once I wrap a strand, I'm going to show it to you and we'll see what I'm going to do with it. .The second strand is okay, so when I finished wrapping the strand of lights, it basically came halfway up my heart, so I finished the first strand and wrapped it here on my right. I'm taking the second strand and I'm going to Start wrapping it to the left and then cross all these horizontal lines here so that we have some lighting in the middle, which will be really pretty with the crystals.
Now, more than you guys, I didn't follow my instinct and I know I should have, but you may notice that some of my crystals are now no longer attached in the center, so what I will do once I finish this project, I will check it and I'll use a small dot of e6000 glue underneath. My little dot of hot glue and sticking it where I want it, that's going to have to happen last because the e 6000 is going to need some time to dry, so what I'm going to work on now is going over it and wrapping it. the rest of my life and I will be back to show you the next step, everyone is fine, onward and upward.
Oh, by the way, if you're enjoying my channel, give me a thumbs up and tell me what you think of this project. I know. It's been a little chaotic here but I'm doing the best I can for you so anyway I hope you're enjoying it and let me know what you think so I have this front piece ready. Now I have my other piece that I just brought. Now when you paint them especially for this piece, since this is the front, what I did was I just spray painted this part and left it pretty much unpainted because this is part of the problem why our hot glue wasn't sticking on the First of all, we're going to turn our crystal heart upside down so that the crystals don't get in our way when we try to glue this other part and once we remove them all, this is where we'll actually be. glue this piece in place right on top of the other one, so go ahead and use your glue gun and get the job done, so maybe turning on the fairy lights afterwards would be a good thing because it will also help keep your hearts together.
I don't know, you guys can experiment and let me know if you do this project, what you do and what worked now, if you would like it, at this point we can pretty much finish it or if you would like it, and it depends on what you want. you want to do, you can go over this side and put your shiny wrapper there too. In fact, I'm going to go ahead and do that because I feel like it's going to give it a little more polished look, so for that, I'm going to use the rest of that shiny wrap with a double strip and then I'm going to place that which should fit perfectly around it and give it it's going to give a really nice clean look once you have this shiny wrap there, I'm going to go. and like I told you before, we glue those crystals in place so they hang centered and then I'll go ahead and show you all of this finished and lit and beautiful, okay, stay tuned.
