Einstein's grades

Einstein believed that Weber was the one who was inciting everyone against him. Einstein even wrote letters to many physicists across Europe to hire him, but he was unsuccessful. His only salvation then was ultimately Grossman, as Grossman's father was able to find Einstein a job in the patent office after a while. I even read that since Einstein mastered Maxwell's laws, the Patent Office was happy to hire him, I think he owed a lot to Grossman. Now there's another document I'd like us to take a look at... This is the transcript from Mileva Maric, who was Einstein's first wife and who met him while studying at ETH.

They were in the same class together when she was accepted in October 1896 and taught the same subjects, although in the middle of that period she spent a year studying at the University of Heidelberg. This is a summary of your scores. You could see that she was very good at something related to geometry. She passed calculus and survived Bernier's practical physics classes in which Einstein got a 1 but managed to get a 5. Unfortunately, however, she did not graduate because she failed her final exam and soon after became pregnant with Einstein's child. . She 👶she made another attempt to pass the final exam, but she was unsuccessful, then she moved in with Einstein, supporting him in his work.

I think it would be good to mention that she played an important role during Einstein's time at ETH, as he spent much of her time studying with her. It was she with whom he shared the reading of Maxwell's Laws and together they explored his passion for physics. That's all she wanted to show you today. So one thing we realize here is that Einstein actually got very high

grades

as a student, but his time was not without suffering. Einstein knew what it's like when you don't respond to your teachers and when you feel like the school system is taking away your interests.

I would say that it is not a good idea to follow Einstein's strategy of skipping class and simply copying someone else's notes. Although he passed the exams, he was greatly hurt when he tried to get a job later. I think that still applies to college now. You should have a good relationship with people in your field, whether for letters of recommendation or simply to establish good relationships in academic circles.
