Mar 07, 2024
too hot we lower it a little. I was looking to see if she had um I don't think I'll make another poppy and I have this one yeah Craft Outlet Rita has some really pretty flowers they really do. She pleasantly surprised me, so I'm going to look at this and see how I like it here on the side and maybe add a touch of lily. Let me see. I'm constantly checking to see if I want to add. So I think I'm going to finish this because it's the last piece I have of this bouquet, so I'm going to hide it underneath, move it to the side because the way the lily is sprayed I don't.

I want to push this up and have things hidden underneath, there we go and then I'll show you the pan with glue so you can see the pan with glue, it just has melted glue in it, uh, gorilla glue sticks that you just throw in there and it melts and there's a couple asking what is a frying pan, a glue pot, basically, yeah, okay, so now I'm going to come in with little filler flowers, like little little roses, to fill that space and now let me take all these little pieces of spikes that I've cut out and they're everywhere, so now what I like to do is take the lavender sprigs and just add them in to give it some movement and dimension, so I grabbed the lavender brush.

Checking um, you can also try online. There aren't any online at Dollar Tree, so I looked now at the item number, so Dollar Tree doesn't have them yet. I don't know if it's still too early. It's only January, yeah, so keep checking back. I still try to keep most of that contained and it never fails. Vanessa, how do you know which flowers to use for your project? I start cutting them and it's like what I did before we left. Live, I just started cutting, you know, I knew we needed a focal point flower. I was debating whether or not to put a sign here, whether or not to put a really pretty bow here, and I thought, you know what?
Let's put a really pretty lily right in the center um it's basically just your purpose display well what's your preference you can lean in put a really pretty sign like um trying to think of the ones I've seen for Easter um he's resurrected actually I think he's one that I've seen how some guests said you could use a photo for the center, you could put a photo in the center, yes, if you are doing that, I know one of the members of our group is making one of these for her parents, I'm great for Easter so she said this came at the perfect opportunity for me to do this so let me cut a couple more and then we'll evaluate see if we need to add a few more pieces or we're already done Valerie yeah we went and bought a lot of the flowers for the wedding um not as much as for the bride's groom, for the bride's flowers, you know, that she carries, but for the trellis that was around it and the tables, yes, we had flowers for everything that, the good thing about doing what I hate to say artificial there's a different word for that, I forget what they call it, um, they don't attract bees and stuff at a wedding because they're not real, so maybe there's no fragrance color, but there is no fragrance, depending on what. season you're going to put them in, you know they're only going to last so long, you know they're pretty tough, but they're only going to last a limited amount of time in the sun and the weather, okay, I got it one not that one that one I'm just looking and checking let me add a couple of I want a little more pop and I'm always checking because sometimes the tips aren't or the flowers aren't to my liking so I'm just adding a little more royal purple.
I'm glad I changed it because there is one area where it needs a little love and something small and white, tracy, yes you can certainly use uv spray and spray everything with the uv spray that will help it last a little longer. Direct sunlight will always kill anything. Well, I think we're done. Let me grab a couple of these. I just have these like little white flowers, so I'm like Putting them right, I think we're done, so I'm going to show you what this looks like on the door, so I'm going to make sure that I've got all the glue off and that you have your little fans or your mesh placed. in the same direction, Pauline, as soon as we finish, we will post this in her regular group and then you can watch the replay and see how she started and started and used the mesh and all that.
I'll get it, okay? that's like I was telling you, I just had that floral so if you look there's no floral coming out of the back of the

wreath

except the one in the center so this is what I'm going to do and now it's flush with the door, let me. just do this, this was me, okay, let me take this one down, put this here and then I'll show you how it looks on our door, so this was like, oh, there's a couple of pieces like here, I see, but what do you think? look at all my glue yeah and we're done that's it give lots of likes and labs short and sweet and simple so like I said a wide variety of different things um if you didn't want to use a lily because here is where I had I started looking, I'm going to do this.
You could place a rose in the center and you can make a rose on top, that's totally up to you. You can make a bow and have your flowers not reach as far in the center as you can. Put a little sign there, someone else suggested you could put a photo in a frame but you can make it any color you want so I think that's it. For those of you who don't know, I have a private group. 17 a month for now it's half business class home half design academy we just started again as a refresher course in January so this Sunday we're doing color theory so a lot of you asked me how do you know what flowers.
Putting together in your design something that would be colored or covered in color theory class helps you understand why it is sometimes a challenge as a designer to take a sign, its mesh, and its tape and make it all coordinate. so we'll cover all of that and then on Monday we'll cover from our business perspective, how do you find your ideal client? Because everyone's customers are a little bit different, so we're going to focus on that exercise on Monday and what that does is it helps you understand how you can find them, where they are because everyone is at home right now with the lockdowns, where they spend their time on social media, how your posts should be formatted to attract your customers. you're selling so it's a new class we're starting this year so to sign up you can do it two ways you can do it monthly or yearly if you sign up annually you get two months free so both are available. on the website where I left my little sign I have it pinned, okay, Steve has it pinned so you can sign it on both of them on that website and then if you're interested in purchasing it, it's on my website so it's not on my etsy store, website, if you want to buy it, if you want to order one in totally different colors, I'm totally open to that, uh, just contact me and let me know, otherwise you should be able to click on the pin. link at the bottom where it says www.catscreationsinmore.com that's it and then from there you will see that the annual is right at the top and the monthly, you have to scroll to the bottom of the page and then you will see that one reads us a what time on days uh Sundays at 3 p.m.
Pacific then it's 5 p.m. central central and 6 p.m. this this thank you and then on Mondays it's 5 p.m. so now it's 5 p.m. Pacific 7 p.m. central and at 8 p.m. ET, so if you can't make them, the replays will always be available as long as you're in the group, so if you don't get to this now, maybe in a couple of months you'll still be able to watch the replay, so that's it, uh Lynn asked if you could grab the other wreath real quick and show her the other one, she said she wanted to see it okay so this is our vine so it's done pretty much exactly the same way we made our flowers like this that this incorporates a sign into your arch and then this is made with purple tulips, violet roses and lavender, yeah, pink roses, um purple ranculus, lavender binoculars, uh, lilies, lavender and lilac, so okay, okay, Have a great weekend everyone, thanks for joining.
Me today and I'll talk to you soon. Have a great night everyone.
