This car is just badass, so in the early 2000s, my dad met a guy at the drag strip and said he had an LS7 Camaro Baldwin Motion car, one of a kind. I don't know if my dad necessarily believed him at the time, but he brought the car. He came in and said he wanted to do a complete restoration from scratch, after a little homework they realized how special this car was so at Dream Car Garage they did a complete restoration on this car now the restoration is 20 years old and it still looks like Good as the day it left the store, I want to show you that clip, but first make sure you subscribe and hit that notification bell so we can continue to grow this channel.

You know the 454 engine, as rated for the 1970 Corvette, had 460 horsepower, but when all was said and done, this 454 ls7 made 522 horsepower closer to 600 feet. pounds of torque mated with a 4 speed m22 gross crusher and a 488 position 12 bolt man this is going to work the car has been in the showroom for 10 11 years since my dad bought it from the guy to who restored it.

Initially in 2000 2001. Obviously, my father was aware that it was such a rare special car that he was able to buy it 10 11 years ago. The car has always been here, sitting right outside my office, but this will be my first chance. Driving it always requires a lot of effort and a lot of care. Lower these cars from above. We have some expensive cars here. GT500 prototype from 1968, one of a kind, but that's another story now that we've carefully brought it back. the car below let's fire this thing up and stretch our legs as soon as you step on the gas pedal you realize you're not in kansas anymore this is not an out of the ordinary room for a holy cow

from the outside this car looks pretty original, but as soon as you sit in it, you realize this thing is a hot rod, you have your gauges here, water temperature, amperage, and then your oil pressure right down there, you have your ignition box MSD peeking out from under the passenger side. but the most obvious thing is the way the car sounds big, lumpy, phase three, cam, phase three, 850 car carved under the hood and oh man, trying to turn this thing around like a chore, but you know for What this thing wasn't built for is a sleeper and a drag car and that's it, they're going to shift you, grab the T-handle, there with the steep gear, you gotta keep your hand on the shifter, your eyes on the super sun attack here and you have to upshift quickly and you will have to hit the accelerator again on the upshifts or else you will have a lot of problems and you will have to quickly get out of first gear in second. up to third back on power up to fourth oh my god that's amazing, when you hit the gas you really notice those big traction bars, this thing just pulls and has so much traction, so much forward bite, such a solid feeling rear end .
Man oh man, the car is plugged in, it's not necessarily a cruiser and the car as it stands here is not meant to go down the molehill sand in a straight line. I almost feel like I'm doing a shakedown in a race car and that's okay and let's just go. Save it, I don't want to break anything, but this car was built to take people's money on Saturday nights, of course the car has a big double electric fuel pump, so there's always fuel in there, boy, me would love to take this to a racetrack you know my dad drove this thing on the show it literally didn't even have the decals on the car it had just finished the restoration in the early 2000's he went out and made a 1390 on his first pass through the door.
This car is just badass, now you're going to race this car, we know you as a road racer with some problem, it's been 15 years since I've been on a race track, you still know what you're doing, we'll give it a spin , we're doing a 1390 at 103 miles an hour, that's not too bad, not bad, I mean, we weren't shifting the thing at those big revs, we're taking it a little easy and it definitely fires up. tires every year, so now that I've driven the car I'm qualified to ask the question: do you need a car like this?
Nobody needs a Baldwin Motion ls7 camaro. Just no, but do you want a car like this?
