Dollar Tree Raising Prices to $1.75? *NEW* Price Increases

Mar 28, 2024
apparently Dollar Tree is

raising

their

price

s to .75, let's talk about that in this video. I've been tagged in countless Tik Tok videos, real Instagram videos, and on Facebook about Dollar Tree having a

price

increase and many of you have said it in your local Dollar Tree stuff is $75 now. I haven't seen that across the board and at my Dollar Tree, but I have noticed items go up a quarter here and there, 50 cents here and there, and at what point does it stop being worth it? buy at Dollar Tree, so let's talk about some of the

increases

, so first, helium balloons at Dollar Tree were $125, now they're $1.50.

I still think they are a good price, however you can go somewhere else and get them cheaper. For example, the heart balloons that Dollar Tree carries at Five Below, you can get them for a

dollar

with helium included, however, they are 1 inch smaller, measuring 17 inches, compared to the Dollar Tree heart balloon, which measures 18 inches. I think for most of us that 1 inch balloon difference isn't a big deal, especially if you're going to buy a bunch of balloons, but Dollar Tree still has great balloons for the price, for example any of their character balloons like Paul Patrol and Mickey Mouse, but again it's a quarter increase, so it's like where would I rather spend my money on Amazon?

More Interesting Facts About,

dollar tree raising prices to 1 75 new price increases...

You can get balloons and wholesale at a really excellent price. Yes, you're going to pay more for a lot of them, however, when you take the price of each balloon, that's going to arrive. less than I would spend at Dollar Tree,

prices

are so all over the place right now at Dollar Tree that I saw a Tik Tok account where there was a price checker at your local Dollar Tree. Now we're at the point where you're shopping at Dollar Tree and you're like, I don't know if this is only $125. Another item that has gone up is reading glasses, they are $1.50 so that is a 20% increase from $1.25.

I can't speak to the quality of these glasses because I have never used them, the cheapest ones I could find are at Dollar Tree and then I found something around $3.99 at Michael's Craft Stores and then at Walmart for around $6 when I go to Dollar Tree noticed that people look at the reading. glasses and I see them buy quite a few pairs, so I feel like they probably do the job based on how many times I go to the store and see people buying these glasses. There is also a 25 cent increase on sunglasses, which I wear a lot, the cheapest place I can find sunglasses is Dollar Tree.

The quality of the sunglasses does the job, but if you get something that is of better quality, you will notice the difference, it does a better job of blocking things out. So, for example, I have a floater in my left eye. I've had it for over a decade, so I always wear sunglasses when I go out. If I don't see it, it's basically like an invisible scribbled line, it's a little hard to understand. describe and if I don't have sunglasses I see it, if I wear them I don't see them, so I can tell the difference when I wear better quality sunglasses than the ones from Dollar Tree, however, I always lose my sunglasses. so I prefer to buy them at Dollar Tree, but what's the point of them continuing to make these

increases

where it's no longer worth it for me to buy the sunglasses at Dollar Tree?
I don't know, it's just that everything keeps moving slowly and I know it. when they changed the prices to 125 they said they weren't going to change it for a while and honestly that was only two years ago they changed it to 125

dollar

s so I feel like if they keep

raising

prices here and there it's like when will it be where? ? Everything there is going to cost $5, Coca-Cola and Pepsi products at 1.25 have gone up 40% and now cost 1.75. I thought it was such a good price when you could get them for a dollar even at 125, now it's starting to get very similar in price. to other stores and many times in other stores you can find these Coca-Cola products on sale where you get them cheaper than what you would pay for them at Dollar Tree and I know that convenience is a very important thing when talking about Dollar Tree and these price increases before I could drive, the closest store to me was Dollar Tree and I walked to Dollar Tree and thus saved money even if I paid $1.75 for something I could get cheaper elsewhere than travel. and then wasting gas traveling or having to take a bus to get to a different store, so I know this all comes into play, it's not just black and white, this and that, so you have to keep this in mind when talking about things .
I'm not necessarily knocking Dollar Tree, but again, at what point is it that these DIYs I do are completely useless because I could go buy something somewhere else because it'll be cheaper to do it with products from a different place? or it's just going to be cheaper to buy, ready made ice is the biggest increase I've ever seen, it went from 125 to $2 which is a 60% increase. I'm not here to argue about Dollar Tree raising their prices because at the end of the day they are a company that I can't change, that I can't control, that I can just change where I choose to spend my money, so let me know in the comments below if they are going to continue shopping at Dollar Tree.
I still am, of course most items are still $125, but what sucks is that now you go to Dollar Tree, pick up an item, and you don't even know if that item is $125. I once went to Dollar Tree and I bought these Pokémon cards. They were sitting among all the toys and I was thinking, oh wow, they cost $125. I go to check out and they were actually $5 a package and I didn't know that because they are sitting among all the other items that are $125 and they are not labeled as $5 and this happens very often when I go to the store there is something from the plus section and sitting among things that cost $125 I go to pay and they tell me, hey, this is not a 125 The good thing I've seen is that the items that have the price increase are labeled, however, the sunglasses and the sunglasses reading they say $1.50 but they say it at the top so if you're not looking at that little $1.50 up there You're thinking they're still at 125 so yeah again I'll continue shopping at Dollar Tree but there comes a point where some items are no longer worth it.
You know my channel. I love crafting on this channel and specifically with Dollar. Tree items because to get items at Dollar Tree to create, it's the cheapest place you can go to get craft items, however some of the increases make it where, hey, you might as well go to Michaels for something. Might as well go to Hobby Lobby. for something else I will say the Plus section when they first introduced that I wasn't referring to that, however I have learned to appreciate it, for example this wreath behind me cost $5 to make Dollar Tree products for $125 per item .
I'm not going to get a crown that big. I'm not going to get a crown that big, so it makes more sense for me to buy it already made in the Plus section and then add to that the peeps pillow from there. It was $5 to get the same thing. pillow at Target or Walmart you're spending a lot more than just $5 so in that section I really appreciate most of the prices on the items they are clearing, it's like I'd rather go somewhere else and use a coupon somewhere else and such I may get points at a store other than Dollar Tree and I will say that with Dollar Tree's price increases and oversaturation when it comes to Dollar Tree content on the internet, it's making me change my approach to how I upload my own videos.
I try to make crafts that are unique. I try not to make things that I can buy cheaper somewhere else and if it's something that you can technically buy cheaper somewhere else, I try to make it different, for example my hot chocolate bar that I bought. a lot of comments can I go buy it cheaper and when they talk about it they are talking about a box that says hot chocolate on the other side, my hot chocolate bars are not my hot chocolate bars can be changed for each holiday, no Only It's a holiday so I try to bring in unique items that when you make them look amazing and are also something that you probably can't buy anywhere else or if you are making them, it will be cheaper to make them than to buy them. them, especially if you're doing them inol and that being said, I'm trying to change my approach to how I upload content on social media now because before I always uploaded to YouTube first, but with the introduction of real Tik Tok and Instagram there are so many other accounts of Dollar Tree and when I upload something, when I upload it to YouTube first, I find that my ideas are quickly stolen and my videos will be uploaded entirely to different accounts or my ideas will be taken and never credited, so what am I doing in the future is that I've been uploading my DIY projects first to Tiktoac and then to real Instagram before uploading them to YouTube because if I'm going to post these ideas for other people to monetize, I want to be able to monetize my own ideas, you know, this is my full time job and that's how I make money so if I'm uploading something for example pretend like I made this right here if I'm uploading this and I put this on my channel someone sees that I upload it to Tik Tok or upload it to Instagram reals before I get there their video automatically improves and then I don't get the same amount of views because people already saw it so I've taken a different approach to appearing on those social media accounts first before doing it on YouTube so If you want to follow me, you can do so.
I agree. Bethany on Tik Tok and I'm trading with Bethany on Instagram and that's where I've tried to shift my focus and change what I'm doing because things have changed a lot in the Dollar Tree space so I've decided to shift my focus. when I go on social media and I don't say that everything I create is unique, hell no, most of the things I create are not unique, but I have some things like my mobile broom, my dresser that I made out of boxes, my mirror toilet. I did it years ago. I've been making Dollar Tree videos for almost nine years.
I am now part of Dollar Tree's original content creators on YouTube. Many of us have been doing it for a long time, long before real Tik Tok and Instagram. were a thing so that's been weighing on my mind a lot when it comes to Dollar Tree and moving forward like I said with my content how can I share Dollar Tree items that are actually worth the money and that you can't get that cheap on Dollar Tree anywhere else? and how do I create content that makes Dollar Tree products worth making and then also bring you original ideas and how do I share those ideas?
I have a lot of thoughts on this, but let me know again if you're going to continue. shopping at Dollar Tree if they keep raising their prices, at what point is it no longer worth it to you? Also let me know if there are any price changes I missed. You may know that everything at your local Dollar Tree costs $1.75. Do you have price checkers? at your Dollar Tree, please let me know in the comments below. I don't know, we'll see, see you where or see I can't talk, see where this channel takes me and what direction I want to go.
I want to do more things that aren't just specifically Dollar Tree and I felt that way for a long time, it's just that Dollar Tree does it right. Dollar Tree is what gets the views on YouTube and it's what gets the views on Tik Tok. If I'm making a video just for Hobby Lobby, you know I'm not going to get the same amount of views. If I'm doing just one Walmart video, I'm not going to get the same amount of views and all of that plays a role. A big role in how I choose which videos I upload because even though I want to make those videos I know they're just not going to perform the same and then if I continue making videos like that that's going to kill my channel so I don't do it. .
I don't know, there's just a lot going on here, but anyway, thank you very much for watching this video. I mean, maybe you learned something new, maybe you didn't. I appreciate you guys, I'll see you next time, take care, bye.
