DOLLAR TREE GIFT IDEA | BUDGET FRIENDLY GIFTS

Hi, I'm Tracy from Gift-Basket Appeal and I'm going to show you how to make a really simple

gift

for the holidays, so let's get started. On one of my many visits to the Dollar Tree I found this cute red mug and thought this would be perfect for the holidays, there was only one left. I'll probably go back and see if I can find more, so what I decided to do was take that cup and fill it with some candy, so I did have it. some of these six packs of candy from Dollar Tree I'm just going to open them up, so if you know what the person's favorite candy is, just fill it with some chocolates, it's really hard for me not to eat them, Snickers is one. of my favorite candies and then I got a few hundred large ones and these are really cute because they're just little individual candies and you can just put together a little cup of goodies on them and then you might want to add some sparkly things inside. and I also found this at Dollar Tree they are like curly bows and you may have seen this on my haul so what you could do is just cut some of these off and maybe add them to give it a little shine and there is enough of this for all. especially for a

dollar

you definitely don't need to use it all and I'm sticking it randomly on my mug just to add a little sparkle and you can use this for a lot just a lot.

Of these, if you're making several for maybe coworkers or want to give something to someone as a

gift

, you can do that too. I'm going to add this here, just add a little bit of shine, now something else. can you do. I'm going to throw this out, so I just want to give you enough of an

idea

. The wind doubles and another thing you can do is use some red paper and put it in your container just to add a little bit of filler right there. start putting your candy there. I'm just trying to get around adding my sweets here. you know, you all don't know how hard it is for me not to eat them because just because it's chocolate, okay, now I'm coming.

I just take my little shiny curly things here and add them, look how full it looks just by adding the sheet of wrapping paper in there, okay, now you see how it looks just by adding the wrapping paper and then putting your candy on top. Plus, this will also be a great gift for the teacher, okay, so you can do it like this if you want. I'm going to go ahead and show you how to finish this now, which you could do too if you wanted to quit. so, you could add some type of gift tag, maybe on the handle, put a gift tag on there or maybe add some type of bow as an embellishment, you can add something there, I've just given you some other options that I'm going to show you . you know how I would wrap this and this is different from how I would wrap it it's kind of similar to how I would wrap it it was a basket but I'm going to save a lot on this okay so just measuring it look how tall I want that to fit right , so I'm just measuring above that and I really want you to see this, so if I'm going to cut and I'm not going to use all of this, but if I'm doing several of these I can actually use this cut that I'm doing right now to make more than one of these, make about two of these and wrap it up really well, so I'm going to move this and bring it over the top, can you?

Look, I don't need all of this on this side, so all I'm going to do is cut it now, we're going to cut it and you gotta be careful with this cellophane because it breaks very easily, so what? What I'm doing now is you can cut several sheets of these ahead of time once you've measured them out, especially if you're making a bunch of these and then all I'm going to do is just go up. from the side, come up from the side and pull it towards the middle, basically just gather it all together right above here, so what you could do is if you wanted to read the identifier, you would go ahead. and wrap it all into one so it looks like this and of course I'm not going to worry about the top now.

I'll leave it like that for now and I can go back and knead it now. I'm going to use this so if you're going to be doing a lot of these it's going to be very economical to use this curling ribbon it's very inexpensive or another option is to take one of these off and you can use that to tie it up. Now the fact that I'm going to use one of these, sometimes you just have to make it up as you go, I'm just going to tie it up and this is small enough that you don't need to have as much to do. secure it and I'm just tying it up and lifting it up and tying it really well and of course I guess I won't use it because so in the future don't use it use it to decorate the inside but don't use it to tie it I thought it would be a good

idea

but It's not, so go ahead and tie this and this is what it looks like and now I've only tied it once.

I'm going to go ahead and tie it again. This is what my candy looks like, all tied up, I'm going to cut the top off a little bit and I'm just doing the same technique that I wouldn't want if I were making a bigger basket, okay? and now I need to add a river to this the wise thing would just not be right without having a tape and this is just a tape that I've had in my stash for a while from Dollar Tree I must have had this for years so it's a holiday inspired ribbon and I'm going to make a very small bow because this bundle is small and I'm just using that technique that I would use on a larger bow, but I'm just making it's more condensed, I'm bringing it in and I think I'll make three in each side and of course my little companions here, my little dog, and he sees something in the backyard, so he's barking and I'm just going to cut him off, so I've got three on one side, three on the other and everything I'm going to do is keep pinching.

I'm going to add it to my bundle so all I'm doing is I'm taking one of my little curly ribbons and I'm putting it around the bottom and I'm putting the other one around the top and I can always go back and fix it so I don't be really worried about the bowl, right? now or if you want you can tie it before you put it together just making a little knot there and make another knot and now I'm going to fluff my bun okay and once I have my bun nice and fluffy and there it will be. it's nice and puffy and this is a wired ribbon so now you can grab a gift tag or some bells and attach it if you want.

I will attach my gift tag if you want to know how I made this gift tag. That's a video and I'll post it below and I'm just lifting it up at the bottom. Here I'm just taking my gift tag, lifting it up at the bottom and tying it in the back, just tying a little knot there and no. Don't forget you can do a bunch of these if you want so now that I've got this curly ribbon sticking out I can just take my scissors and curl it or if you want to leave it hanging you can do that and you want to do your You've got your own little curly thing there and that okay so figure if you make a bunch of these for the holidays you'll be all set, you'll probably have to start early or if you want to give a last minute gift.

Then you're not sure. I think a mug full of chocolates would be a great gift so I'm going to go ahead and post pictures of what it looks like and I'm going to go ahead and post those other videos for the gift tag and the bow and gift.
