easter

diy here all the supplies I'm going to use for this project basically I'm going to take this base planter basket and make two slices on the sides and there's only about four maybe five inches long and then I'm going to add hot glue on triangle shape and then loop it over the other side holding it dry and then glue it to the other side that way you can create whatever shape you want.

I wanted this to look more like a basket. so i think i accomplished that by just making those two slices now i'm going to take my flowers i have some cotton stems some boxwood and then some lilacs and some tulips through the tulips came from michaels they were $2.00 but you get a lot more than what you would do at

dollar

tree

so keep an eye out that was one of their door busters this last weekend and they may still have them on sale so they are really nice and really cheap so im just taking a foam block i glued it to the base of my little basket here and i'm just alternating all the greenery and flowers in there and you don't need too much to fill this up but i think the different flowers really add a little more depth and interest to your little basic flower box here that we've created and then i'm just adding in some cotton stems i had in the next step was adding a little bit of ribbon around the basket so i just h I made a normal tie and then a normal bow for this it can be really fancy and make a couple of loops on your boat it's completely up to you but I thought this looked really nice and then I went ahead and cut the extra into a shape V at first I just did a normal slot and then I thought no.

More Interesting Facts About,

dollar tree diy spring easter decor 2020 easy diy decor ideas momma from scratch...

If you want to have shape there, it's best if you just fold it over and then cut it in and you're done, then you can go ahead and hot glue it. I put a little string in the back to secure it that way. I get to hang it on the wall and I love it so next project I'm going to use these pink tulips These are actually from Michaels again these were $2 each they have a larger tulip shape which is $4 and you get I think about eight to nine, so it depends if you want the smallest or the largest. the wreath shape you can pick those up at Hobby Lobby Walmart for a few bucks or even at the thrift store for a

dollar

which is where I get most of mine from other projects after you cut the stems you'll just start intertwining them on the really simple vine wreath and I'm making mine go in the same direction.

You can do whatever works for you, but this is so pretty. I love how beautiful this pink is. Now you can choose any color to sew. This is too bright for you. I could do yellow if you want I thought it just needs a little greenery and you don't have to do this. I think it's beautiful on its own, but I like this eucalyptus boxwood. Basically, it's like a mix, but it's from Walmart, it's two. dollars a bundle and one bundle was enough to fill this wreath and then I added some white tulips left over from the last project in there and just to add a little bit of contrast and then I pulled out a couple and I'm adding a burlap bow here that I was holding in my hand and then i'm taking a dollar

tree

ribbon and just bending it to make a simple bow so here i'm folding it and then cutting inwards that way it creates that beautiful v shape there and then i decided to just make a single bow for this bow and I'll take a little bit of the extra ribbon here and fold it in half and glue it there that way it gives us a nice cute bow that you can obviously use wire like most people do but sometimes I just don't feel like it. take that extra step and do that when i hot glued it it just does the same thing and i put some glue on the back and glue it down and this is how this wreath came out i think its absolutely e beautiful it's so vibrant in color you have to let me know what your favorite project of all the ones i'm sharing with you today for next year why you're going to want to create a stencil for yourself you can print a bunny offline or you can do it to freehand like me doing here and just cut it out and that way you can use it as a template for your fabric.

I ended up picking out some burlap fabric that I had you pick this up at Walmart usually like 2 bucks a yard very inexpensive and will do. Go to many different projects. Lately I'm more into muted tones, more neutrals, so I decided to do this double layer that way and we cut once and then we basically have two bunnies. I'm adding some hot glue. and then a wooden dowel in the middle and then I'll add the hot glue everywhere that way I can apply the other side covering that would endow you can't fill this in if you want me to make it full it's up to you now I'm taking some glue hot by wrapping that around the dowel and then using these three little cubes that you can find at the Dollar Tree and you'll just glue them to the base.
Next, I'm taking some leftover fabric from another project and basically made it into a V and me. Basically I just make a little bow tie here and wrap it around with a little bit of hot glue and what I like about using fabric and your own template is that you can do this no matter how big or small it is so if you want a couple of different sizes, I can do that, so here I drew a different type of bunny. I wanted it to look a bit different and again I dropped my own template. I cut this out and left just enough to be able to fold the fabric that way.
I'll be double sided again, no traditional polyfills, I just went in with some batting left over from a header I did last month, so I'm just cutting that to shape and then adding some hot glue. and then hot gluing both sides of the fabric up to each other and over again. I'm just doing that for his belly too. I would have liked it to be a bit thicker and fluffier, but I'm working with what I have on hand. I try to do that, so if you have us. some spare fabric at home maybe you can make some really cute little bunnies out of it now i'm just taking some dollar tree yarn or wrapping it into a bow and then i'll cut it out and you think it's starting to look really really cute now I'm going to put a wooden dowel inside him and that way he will defend me.
I forgot to do it earlier, I had three cubes glued together and I went ahead and glued the base of the bunny on there. and that really worked and then i took another dowel and made two of these slices here i just cut them to the length of the base i had a little bit of hot glue and then i glued them together and that way he just helped me stand up a little better and then I also put a bucket on his back and so is the bunny' It turned out I think they are absolutely adorable and are perfect for a season like Easter where you just want something very subtle nothing too much for the next Project.
I'm using this canvas frame that actually comes in dollar tree with a soft canvas cover on it you'll just want to rip it out and nail it and then I'm using the Waverly wax paint you may find out Walmart picks it up it's like two or three bucks and it will last you that long For a long time the next step was to make a little template of a truck so I just drew that and then drew it on the craft paper I'm using the craft paper came from Michaels they have so many different options in all the different stores, so stay tuned.
I'm applying some Mod Podge to the back of the truck and I'm going to apply it to the canvas that Dollar Tree is carrying they have like 2 by 3, 4 by 6 and 8 by 10 that's the 8 by 10 that I'm applying it to the only thing what i wish i would have done was apply it a little tle a little lower on the canvas and maybe a little bigger and i'm using a marker for this you can use a paint pen or you can use some wooden letters and glue it down it's clear for You this font is similar to Magnolia sky and then I'm also taking some hydrangea leaves here and petals and gluing them together with a couple of lilac petals.
I ended up filling the truck just a little but I think it's really adorable now I'm adding some hot glue you can use. e6000 to make this a little more permanent and then you're going to front glue it to the canvas and now I have a really adorable spring sign to display around the house and you can customize it however you want for the next project I'm using this Spring Bunny sign Dollar Tree Easter and you're going to want to remove the hands and the back and we're actually going to use the back. I went ahead and took some sand paper and scrubbed it down to get it nice and flat I took some wavy chalk paint in white and this is also from Walmart it lasts a long time but you can use regular white acrylic paint just use what have on hand I went ahead and covered the entire bunny with it.
I did not make a super thick layer. I wanted to see the rougher side a bit more and then you'll take some string that you can find at Dollar Tree and start gluing everything around the edge. Now you can write whatever you want. I decided to write him. it's elevated and I'm trying to mimic the Raiden font type here. I took a small twig with some purple and white flowers attached to it and then for the eyeballs, I messed up a bit on this part. too big and i just used dollar tree yarn for this and just to me they look a little creepy.
I don't like the shape I made, so don't make round eyeballs. of that leftover twine and it just went around the edge of her ears on her face and then jus I didn't cut that and it looks really cute, I just get annoyed by her eyeballs. I'm picking out these cubes that you can find at Dollar Tree in the craft area and you're going to want about six or seven of them for the base and you're just going to glue them together it's very simple you can't just paint this if you want it's completely up to you to put them together and you're going to join three more on their own and you're basically going to make it a T shape with a longer top and you're just going to glue it that way it basically makes it a bracket so add some hot glue or a 6000 and glue the base together and this is how the bunny sign came out i think it's really cute his eyeballs are a little drastic for me they're a little crooked too but hey you know he's still cute for the next project , you will want to use some foam. board or regular wood if you get your hands on regular wood I would definitely suggest using that I went ahead and cut two strips four inches tall and then to the length they were I think that says 20 inches on it or something like 22 inches and then i went ahead and cut another one at 3 inches and then the two sides are at 3 inches like well i'm just using a little bit of hot glue here and just attaching the side braces basically and you'll want to hold my little helper came in and decided to help me out here and then you're going to glue the other one on.
We're basically making a planter box and then I took the measurement which was about three and a quarter for the bottom piece. I had cut out four, which are a little too big for us, so Dollar Tree also sells foam board. use regular cardboard but again if you have access to real wood make it out of real wood that way you can use it once in a while and it will last you for years compared to foam boards plus a seasonal thing but just wanted to show you because it's an inexpensive way to make something you can use too Dollar Tree mirrors do this too so I'm adding a bead of hot glue and attaching the bottom base here.
The next step is to use a foam block. I didn't have a ton extra so I cut this one out. messy so yeah you only have to deal with it if you decide to cut it, obviously there are better ways than using scissors to do it. I'm going to glue that to the bottom of your box and ignore the front. I was trying to use something. another thing but i didn't like the way it looks so i ended up deleting that news and the other thing now i'm taking that eucalyptus so you can discover walmart it's two bucks a pack you get quite a lot you just will.
I need a bundle for this project and I'm just cutting it at the base that way the stems will be nice and long and then I'm basically sticking them into the foam and you can since they're wired you can bend them whichever direction they go want them to be and work to the end, then I'm going in witha little bit of Dollar Tree pink florals that have es are very subtle and they're so pretty that they're sort of peeny and I'm just tucking them in. I also talked to some lamb's ear that you can find at a Walmart, they're only 97 cents. wearing two different types, the smaller type is a little better for something like this compared to the larger type is better for, like I say, a crown.
I am using white paint. I have Waverly ivory paint and then I have Waverly wax paint here and me. I'm using the Waverly paint that I just bought at Walmart and it's lasted me two years and I have small bottles so I apply the white paint first then I go in with the ivory and then I take some of that wax paint and dry brush it and now I'm just taking a pen and basically doing ship overlap signal lines here and that'll just be a base because I'm going to go in now with twine that you can pick it up from Dollar Tree and I'm going to glue that to the bottom I'm going to do two strips for the bottom part I'm going to do four or five on the sides and then I'm going to go down those feather lines that I made with the twine to give it a lot of character and it turned out really well the next part of this DIY is to take these wooden egg shapes that you can find at Dollar Tree, they are sold in a pack of five, you can also find the felt ones and the telephone ones, so if you can't find the wooden ones, don't worry, that's fine, just get a few. paper I ripped this paper out of a Dollar Tree book and went ahead and made the words vertical compared to the egg and got some Mod Podge.
I'm going to spread that all over the eggs and we're going to take that piece of paper and press it onto the eggs to give them a whole new look, you can also put Waverly wax paint on them to give them a total wood look if you want or just leave them natural, it depends from you then I'm going to take some string and some hot glue and basically I'm going to put the hot glue in the shape of the letter th in I want to spell and then put the string on top of there and then once you're done , you will take some popsicle sticks and add some glue to the back of the egg. the base and you are going to put them in the wooden box that we just made with our flowers and now you have created a beautiful centerpiece that you can change for spring, Easter, including summer.
