on my channel, so let's go deeper. and start now, this project revolves around the Medallion Decor piece, you will need a round sign of your choice from Dollar Tree and a garden fence section from Dollar Tree and you can also get the same item from Family Dollar for one

So the first thing we're going to do is take our sign, remove the trim and the labels, we're going to paint it and we're going to paint the back of the sign. Now I'm going to use white chalk paint to give it a nice coat on the back, you just want to make sure that the entire back of your sign has a really nice, even coat and then go back and forth horizontally just to make sure it spreads nice and evenly. go around the edges as well and let it dry completely now while it's drying, go ahead and take the fence section and we're going to start designing this into our

decor

piece.

Now I love cutting this with a couple of nice sturdy ones. scissors and I don't have a problem with that, but you can also use some wire cutters and I'm going to use wire cutters and scissors for this project, so when you want to remove all the labels, you need to go ahead and remove them. Stakes at the bottom of the fence and then what you want to do is divide each of the thin sections. You have four sections here and all I'm going to do is vertically cut that dividing line between each of those sections. you just want to make sure you go very carefully all the way up so you don't break your piece.

Now here is one of the sections of fence that I will cut out. You just want to repeat this for the rest of the fence and here are the four pieces. cut and ready to go now I'm going to take one of the pieces and I'm going to cut it out. I wanted to cut out the middle swirl piece from the frame, so this is where I'm going to start. using my wire cutters just to cut out those pieces, so I'm carefully trimming around those pieces in a swirl shape. Just making sure to remove all the excess trimming around it, now you do that.

I love these little wire cutters where they cut off little bits. a while to prevent the piece from cracking or causing damage to the piece now once I cut out the larger main pieces I want to do all my fine work very slowly and easily. I'll cut around that circular swirl and then we'll cut it around the outside by trimming it, so cutting it off little bits at a time not only prevents it from getting damaged, but it also helps the pieces look rounder in the end, so you'll just want to do this around those eddies. pieces for all your fine detail work overseas and now you can see that it has a nice turn and you want to repeat this around your piece as you cut it out now here is a very nice piece cut out with your clippers and If you have some jagged edges, you can definitely use some sandpaper to smooth all those pieces out.

Now that you have this piece finished, you will repeat this for the other three sections and here are the four pieces. are ready for your project, so we're going to take two of those pieces, go ahead and set them aside and we're going to work on these two pieces here now, we're going to cut them off at the bottom so you can take your wire cutters or your scissors and just we're going to cut them down or right where the bottom starts to split into those two swirls, leaving kind of a V connection at the bottom as shown here, so once you have that first one to make sure it's the same , I just stack them on top of each other and cut it along the same line I cut the first time and this way both pieces are exact and now you have both pieces cut and ready. everything is going well so that all of our pieces are ready to assemble for our project, so we'll take our two completed swirl pieces here and I'll overlap them as shown here to make the center of our Medallion design now that we want.

To make sure we take the length into consideration, we want to make sure it fits our sign, so around 11 inches is what I'm going for here, it may be a little bit more, but 11 inches is what I used, so I'm going to turn the pieces over because when we start putting them together we want to make sure the good side is down, so once you have them spaced 11 inches apart, I'm going to take my hot glue gun and carefully lift up one of the pieces and put glue down. into the trench on the back of those fence pieces and we start pressing them firmly until they come together, so once they've sat for a while and come together, this is what it's going to look like so far, so now we're going to take our two additional pieces that we cut, one will be placed on top as shown here and the other will be placed on the bottom and they will be joined in the middle, now that middle can be a little bulky so just we want to make sure that Keep in mind our location, so now I'm going to go ahead and just trim the edges of that fence piece where they're going to meet in the middle because if you want to remove part of that bulb, I'm going to trim it. down with my wire cutters and my scissors until it's kind of flat like shown here and I'm trimming it about a half inch from the bottom so once we place our piece in the center and then place the other piece on top it should be a little bit flatter and we're going to trim that second piece the same way so that we can have the flattest portion that we can in the center of our Medallion on the back so that once our pieces are the way we want I can now start adhering them.

The first thing I'm going to do is put a generous amount of hot glue in the center of that piece and let it dry completely. This will provide a base to place our cross connect pieces on now once the center dries. add glue on top of that again and then we can add one of our interconnecting pieces in the middle and then press it into place until it dries. While that's drying you can go ahead and start adding some hot glue around that piece in the little ditches. anything to help keep it in place while it sets and then when it sets add the top piece right on top and then we'll add a little bit of hot glue to the top of the center and then we'll put that top piece on there and again.

I just want to make sure all the pieces are placed properly and add a little bit of hot glue in all those ditches around and then make sure all the pieces are in the perfect position before they harden completely and then let them dry for a while . while and now that they're dry to the touch, this is what the Medallion piece is going to look like, like all the pieces are set and it looks great, so then you want to grab a little broom and then you just want to sweep up all that hot stuff. glue nets because you'll probably have quite a few, so you want to remove them from your project now if you notice that some of these cut edges are a different color than the rest and they may stand out, but we're going to blend them together. add a coat of Krylon flat black spray paint and this should blend everything together as it dries go ahead and grab that sign so it's nice and dry from the chalk paint now and we're going to add just a little bit of distressing so I'm using some elephant gray acrylic paint.

Now I'm just going to dry brush it inward around the edges with one of those little natural bristle brushes from the Dollar Tree, just giving it a little bit of distress. the edges as shown here now this should only take a few minutes to dry and you are all ready to go so now we can cover the back this gives such a professional finish and I always love covering the back of my projects that they have the art on them now to put this together, we're just going to use our hot glue, run a bead around the sign and flip it over and adhere it to the brown craft paper that you just want to press.

Put it down and make sure it's adhered well and now I'm just sliding my cutting mat underneath and using my blade to trim off all the excess around the sign and now the back of your sign looks nice and clean and professional so now I What we are going to do is add a rope to hang. Now I just have a double piece of juice wine with knots tied on each end to hang this on. It's very simple, now you don't want to attach this to the paper because the paper might tear, we want to attach it to the actual sign, so I'm marking where those knots fall and then taking my utility knife and cutting two little squares out of that craft paper so we can get to the Natural board below and this is where we're going to glue those knots in place, just apply a big dab of hot glue on those open cut out squares, press those knots in there until they're securely attached and add a little extra hot glue over the tails now.

To cover all your work, I cut two pieces of craft paper. I'll also outline them with hot glue and then press them over all the ends and this will just clean up those ends and make them look very neat. and professional and now that they are both attached in place a year ago, your project is good and you are ready to start, so at this moment your artwork for your fence is already dry and looking great, so now we can Attach it to our round sign. and everything fits together perfectly now I'm going to grab some of those clips and these are from Square the Dollar Tree

man and this is just a completed design in place as we were attaching it so to attach it to the sign I'm adding a huge amount of hot glue on the back of each of those arrows where it comes into contact with the sign, as well as putting a big amount in the center and then you need to carefully adhere it to the sign making sure everything is nice and centered the way you want. to press it down for a few seconds and then start adding your clips around the sign where all the arrows are pointing and then you need to let it sit until it's completely adhered so we let it sit for a while we go to remove our clips and as you can see, our medallion is well adhered and those arrows are nice and flush with the sign, it turned out perfect and now we can just hang this and oh my gosh, here you are. how it looks and I love it now.

I really can't get over how much these pieces look like works of iron art up close and you can create each of them for just a couple of

dollar

s. Now you can make one of these two or even more for this price, let me know what you think about this project in the comments. Now let's start with this wooden plank with a metal hook. Now, to do this, we will need a couple of pieces of wood. and I have some 1x6 pieces here, now what we're going to do with these pieces is take my ruler and determine how long I want my piece.

Now these wall boards can range from 13 to about 18 inches, so I'm going to make some lines here to see how long I want it and what I'm going to do is transfer this mark to my second board. Now I'm watching this. at first just to see how it will look, now I'm going to take them off my saw and I'm going to cut the ends off. Now I'm done with two 15 inch pieces, so now that my pieces are cut I'm going to take my Jacobian container wax stain and I'm going to apply a coat of this stain to all of my boards.

Now I want to make sure that you go over the sides and the edges very well and you want to make sure you cover all those raw ends now. I usually don't stay at the end of my projects, but I will for this project because I want to be able to choose the best side for my final project. I'm going to repeat this for my second board and once that's done, I'm going to leave it out to dry completely for about two hours, so now that the boards are all dry, we'll proceed to add our hardware now that I have it. these hooks from Amazon and they also come with some screws and they come in a pack of about 10.

Now if you don't have these hooks you can also use some hooks from Dollar Tree and here they are in silver and you can also use paint stir sticks for the backing now, if you don't have one by six, you can also use one by two and adhere them and this will also form a usable board, so now we're going to say take our stained boards and What I'm going to do is apply the hardware now. I'm just looking at this and I'm going to use a glass jar as a guide. Once I have the location I would like, I'm just going to mark it. those screw holes with a pencil and then I'm going to take my ruler and make a mark where the top screw hole is and it's about three and a half inches, so I'm going to mark my first screw. my second piece also measuresthree and a half inches, so the hook will be the same on both pieces, so now what I'm going to do is protect my work surface and then I'm going to drill a hole all the way through for my two screws, now you want to make sure Drill correctly on the marks you made, so now that my holes are in both pieces, we can start applying the hardware.

Now I'm going to use the screws that were supplied with the hooks and now I'm just going to screw them in with a screwdriver as they are quite short. I don't really need to use my drill to drill them and they are easy enough to take out to screw in. your screwdriver now here is one completely in place let's do that for the second one and now we have our two hooks and our boards to hang them on. Let's turn them both over and I'm going to pick out some hanging accessories. Now I like to use these D-ring hooks.

They seem to be the most effective at ensuring everything stays in place, so you can get them at the hardware store or even on Amazon, so I'll determine the center of the back of the board and I'll just put the A little bit of hot glue on just to hold it in place while I screw it on. Now I'm going to drill a small pilot hole in that hole for the screw and I'm not going to go all the way through the board because I don't want the screw sticking out the other end, then I'm going to take the small screw that comes with the D hook and do that as well.

I will screw with my screwdriver. Now here is one already installed and we are going to repeat this for the second one. board so now our hooks are installed on both boards and we can hang them so now this is what the boards will look like when they are finished and hung and I love the way the Jacobian stain brings out the grain now we'll need two of these

style

jars Mason and I bought them at Walmart. We're also going to need a pack of beads and I bought them at Dollar Tree, so we're going to take one of our jars and we're going to place beads on the outside of these jars in a diagonal X type pattern, so go ahead and grab the beads and whatever. what we're going to do is, to have a continuous strand, just go ahead and cut the beads and Now I have a completely long piece so that our diagonal is perfectly straight.

I'm going to use some painter's tape to do this to help me with my guide and I just took some and cut it in half and then ran it through the jar. a diagonal, now I'm going to run some hot glue along the edge of that painters tape and place my beads right along the edge so it's nice and straight, now I'm just going to trim it to fit and remove those painters. masking tape and then I'm going to make an x ​​pattern right over these beads, so I'm going to take the same painter's tape and go over it into an of that painting. tape the actual jar and then place another row of those beads in place now once they are in place remove the painter's tape and cut out those beads now go ahead and repeat this all over the jar doing x in all four sides of your jar now, once this is done, go ahead and trim off the excess beads around the ends, so now all four sides of our jar are complete.

Now we are going to repeat this for our second jar and here are our two jars with our beaded rim. and I'm going to rub it down with a little alcohol and clean all the glass and remove all those hot glue webs, then go over it with a couple of coats of this flat white spray paint. Krylon, so after those layers dry, this is what our jars will look like now for hanging. I'm going to use some rope now. I also painted the lids of those glass jars. Now this twine is from the Dollar Tree. and it's pretty strong, so what I'm going to do is wrap it around the top to form a hanging rope and then cut it to the right size to hold them in place.

I'm just going to hot glue each end onto the threaded part. of the jar just to hold it up until I can wrap that ring around the top, so I'm just going to place it over the neck of the jar over the rope and once I screw it into place, lock the rope in place now that the glue Hot is just to hold it in temporarily until you get that ring around the neck of the jar. Now we're going to repeat this for the other jar and then we'll test to see how it hangs on your board and looks perfect, so now.

I've added a few bunches of lavender and here are the jars displayed on our hangers. I love how they turned out with the beads and they really look amazing and the lavender adds that perfect pop of

wooden die cut decor piece so what we're going to do is take our die cut wood piece our Halloween design, and we're going to cut that pot out of the middle that we're not going to use.

We'll just use the frame and cut it out with a few passes of a utility knife or X-Acto knife. That center part should separate fairly easily from the frame. Now, once this is done, you can go ahead and clean any serrations. edges with a piece of sandpaper now once you've done that go ahead and take your house sign and you want to separate the back from the main image and I found this very easy to do. I just took my Dollar Tree putty knife and I'm just going to slide it along that seam and it popped up now.

I wanted to cover that pumpkin design with a buffalo check. Now you can use craft paper. I just printed a buffalo check design that I actually made myself, so I'm going to use this to cover my cyano. It's a little short so I'll have to join the end together, but printing it myself I think it turned out pretty good so I'm just going to trim it down to the right size to fit the top of the side, on one side and then trim that edge a little. Now to adhere this, I'm going to use a glue stick, so I'm just going to first go around the edges of the sign and then fill the middle with a generous amount of that glue and then place the Buffalo check paper right on top of the other end and , like I said, I'm just taking that leftover piece and just matching the pattern and then cutting a couple pieces to cover that final part.

Now just add more glue right there on that glue stick and then we'll add our pieces, they may be a little bit bigger. than the board because we're going to go in and trim it at the end, so now that everything is evened out and glued in place we can take our knife and trim everything to the right size, so now we're going to set that piece aside and we're going to start work on our wood pieces, so we're going to stain those as well and we're going to start with this Waverly Antique Wax, so I'm going to start with the frame and I just want to go around the entire outside of the frame just making sure to get into all of those cracks and crevices until we have a uniform layer applied.

Now once that's done we're going to work on the home sign and I'm going to start on the outside of the home sign and then I'm going to do the front surface of the home sign, not the home letters, I'm going to adjust the edges of the frame as shown here. Now I really wanted my home. to

high

light a little bit, so I'm grabbing a white paint marker that I bought on Amazon. I'll link it in the description box below, but Dollar Tree also has paint markers. I'm just going to go. around the outline of the entire task and you can see how it really stands out now.

I'm going to apply this again on top of my Buffalo check backing, so I'm just going to add a generous amount of that hot glue around the actual inside of the home sign and then I want to place that Buffalo check right on top just making sure to match those edges and here is my completed home sign for this project, so now we are going to work on that framework, so what am I going to do? What I do is I take a piece of foam board and I'm going to place my frame right on top of it.

I'm going to take a pencil and I'm going to trace the inside oval mark of our frame, so I'm going to finish cutting this out now. You want to make sure you leave about a quarter of an inch around your oval, so don't cut exactly on the line, just leave that little seam around it so it adheres to the frame and then you can go ahead and try it on. with a frame to make sure none of that foam board shows through the frame and once that's done, I'm going to take another piece of my Buffalo check paper printed here and I'm just going to place that oval right on top of it and Trace that shape right on the top now, once I do that, I'm just going to cut it out right on the line that I traced, so now we're going to add it to our foam square and then I'm just going to start. adding my glue stick in there and then placing that printed Buffalo check sheet right on top.

Now I'm just doing a check here to make sure that you see that some of the white borders are showing just a little bit, but let's fix that. at the end, but for now we're just going to add that wood, that hot wood glue stick around the frame and place that frame right on top of the foam board backing and then add a little bit of wood glue around the edges just for a little bit of extra security, so now I'm going to take my fine point Sharpie and I'm just going to make a line around the inside of the frame, now this gives it a finished look. and cover all those white edges.

I didn't want to put rope or anything. I just think this black line does it justice and it worked perfect now for the center of this. I wanted to make another one of those houses now. I've made one of these before in a tutorial and I'll link to it in the top right corner of this video as well and do it the same way, so I thought why not just take that project and reuse it. so what I'm going to do is remove it from that project and also from those little bush meetings and I'm just going to add it to this project, so I felt like there's really no reason to redo everything again when I have a I already have a tutorial for you so what I'm going to do is take my hot wood glue and go around that house again and stick it right in the center of my little circle there and then once. that's in place I'm going to take those bushes that I made are also included in that tutorial and I'm just going to place one on each side of the house and here is my little house with the bushes and this in the little frame now on the back of this and also the start sign.

I'm going to put hangers on and I'm just going to use jute twine with a double knot on each end to apply to the back. Hot glue the back of each of the frames, making sure each knot is embedded in the hot glue. Now it's very important to make sure they are nice and centered on the back of each frame so you can hang them individually. Now I also wanted a hanging chain between the two for a different look so I'm grabbing some of this plant hanging chain that I had left over from the spring and I actually also bought some a couple of weeks ago so it's still in the works. stores and I thought this would add a unique look by hanging the pieces together with a chain in the middle and now I'm using eight to ten lengths of this chain to hook them.

I'm using these picture hanging hooks, you can get them at the Dollar Tree and I'm going to apply two of those picture hanging hooks the right way with the hook at the bottom on the back of the home sign at the bottom, just you want to make sure they're evenly spaced and they're nice and centered and I'm just applying them with that hot wood glue stick on the bottom back of that house sign. Now for the house sign, what we're going to do on that one is we're going to add those hooks as well. Now when we add them to the house sign, we want to turn them upside down so the hooks are on top.

This way we can attach the chain between the two and go ahead and glue them in place and make sure they are centered as well. So now all we have to do is take our chain and hook it to the top of the house sign and then to the bottom of the house sign and both pieces are attached and now when you turn it over, they are united. you can hang them on a display as shown here, so here is my completed house sign and I love how it turned out. These Dollar Tree items were very easy to customize and the stain really makes them look

er quality and I love the Buffalo check. on these pieces it really gives me that cozy farmhouse vibe, now you can also choose to display them separately as they added jute between both pieces and on the back and centers.

so far, but I wanted to jump in real quick and let you know that you can follow me on all of these platforms, yathat she's such a craftsman, Dee, so now let's jump right into the next DIY. The project is a set of decorative plant containers. We're going to need one of these peel and stick tiles from Dollar Tree. A roll of ribbon of your choice from Dollar Tree. We're also going to need two containers and I'm reusing it.

These chow mein noodle containers I had on hand, but you can use any type of round container you want and Dollar Tree has several sizes of round containers available, so I'll start working with my peel and stick. tile we're going to go ahead and take it out of the package and here's the tile all removed go ahead and place it face down on your work surface now you're going to take your round container and what we're going to do We're going to plot the width of the container so I'm going to place an edge flush with the edge of the slab and I'll mark that inside edge with an outside marker on the other side of the slab, just making sure that I mark the full width of the container there as well, so now we're going to mark our lines.

I'm going to go ahead and take my ruler and my marker and I'm just going to connect all the lines that I just made. marked now to cut our pieces you can use scissors but I'm going to choose to use my utility knife because I want it to be as straight as possible and I want to use my ruler for this so I'm just going to slide my knife along the line using my ruler to make sure I have a nice straight piece and I want to do this for both of my pieces, so now you have two pieces, one for each container, and then you're left with a remainder, which is the smaller piece, so now give it flip it over and we're going to remove the peel and stick part because we're going to hot glue this to The Container, the peel and stick version of this just won't work for this project so in my mind I was thinking that with this tile we cover everything the container, well yeah my mind is not always very precise so I ended up having about an inch gap in the container so I had to find a resolution and what I decided to do is incorporate that little strip that was left in the medium, so what I'm going to do is I'm going to take the strip first of all and I'm going to divide it into equal parts down the center and once you cut it in half you will have one for each of the containers to cover that void now to do it less. visible, I'm matching the pattern at the end of one of my longer strips to that piece that we cut and as you can see, if we line it up perfectly, we want the top edge of that tile to be the even part and now we can actually join it together and this will add that extra inch plus a little bit to make the extension perfect for wrapping our container and I'm just hot gluing them along the outside edge and then we'll just cut them out. all that excess and I'm doing one more test fit and yes it overlaps about a quarter of an inch so it would work perfect for this project so I'm going to repeat this for that second long strip making sure to line up those edges too and now our two strips to wrap our containers are ready to go, so now it's time to join them together.

Now I'm going to start attaching them with the extension side to the container, just put a dot of hot glue all over. place it on each edge, now you need to be careful when pressing this into place. I suggest that if you are very sensitive to hot glue, definitely use silicone fingers or other protective measures to protect your fingers because this hot glue will burn you if you do it directly. contact with it, so now I'm just going to run a bead of hot glue along the top edge and along the bottom edge and start laying this down a few inches at a time, being careful to make sure it's nice and even across. along the edge. now there's going to be a slight overlap and that's okay because we're going to trim a little bit at the end, but for the most part you want to make sure it's applied nice and evenly, so now that we're almost done, we're going to attach this last little piece and we're going to add hot glue along the edges here, making sure to be careful not to overlap it, but then we just want to make sure we add a generous amount so that it's nice and sealed at the end and then carefully press down into place now, now that we lined up that first piece, you can't really see that seam, so the only seam that if you look really closely you'll see this seam on the back of the bowl, but even with the pattern, it really blends in really well, so now It's time to go ahead and trim off all the excess and again I'm going to use my utility knife for this.

I'm laying the container flat on the mat and then I'm just going to run that blade along the edge of the container just rolling the container as I cut to make sure I get the most even cut around the edge and now that edge is nice and even and if you have any overlap at the top go ahead and trim that down as well and here is one of the containers all nice and trimmed and ready to use as an external container and we're just going to cover it and repeat the whole process and here are my two . containers, all nice, covered and ready to use, now you can definitely use them as is.

I think they are really cute this way, but I decided to add an extra embellishment to mine, so what I did was grab a roll of ribbon from the Dollar. Tree now, this is like a natural ribbon with a lighter colored fabric covering the pattern, which I thought was really cute, so I'm going to start adding this starting at the back where those pieces connect. I'm going to start adding this. along the edge of the bottom of the container, first simply carefully add some hot glue along the edge and pressing it into place. Now you want the ribbon to overlap slightly and you also want it to fold on that raw edge and so we're just going to fold that raw edge, glue it in place and then glue the entire strip right on top of that edge and now that the bottom is clipped, let's go ahead and repeat this for the top edge. and this is what one looks like, all cropped.

I think it's super cute and now we can repeat this for your other container and here are my two containers, all cut out, now ready to display. You can use them for almost anything. Faux plants as greenery or even on your desk as sorting arrangement pieces, so here are these two containers with some fake greenery and I think they look super cute now. I love this new mosaic design at Dollar Tree and it looks great in These repurposed containers now the best thing is that you can choose any

style

of trim or mosaic you like. There are so many to choose from at Dollar Tree and don't forget that Family Dollar also has them for a dollar.

Now everyone has to leave them. I know what you think of this project in the comments below. Now this project is a home shelf wall decor piece. Let's start with two of these Dollar Tree signs. Now I will use two of these signs. These are the natural signs of the Dollar Tree. I have the Easter ones, but you can use any seasonal ones that you find in your stores, so the first thing I'm going to do is cut that top off with the trim there and I'm going to cut them down to about 18 inches and I'm marking a line where I'm going to cut From now on to cut them, it is very easy.

I like to use a utility knife. You can get this utility knife at Dollar Tree. or any hardware store, so I'm going to drag it two or three times and it breaks very easily and I'm going to repeat that for the second board now to make the little roof of our piece. I'm using the corner. of this cutting mat just to make that little angle, it makes the perfect little roof, so once I've traced it out, I use my ruler and my knife to drag it a few times to make sure I can take a little look at the top now , once the first one is cut, all you have to do is place it against the second one, we're going to draw that line and then cut it exactly the same way, so what I have here is a piece of paper that is four inches for six inches I'm going to fold it in half and at the top I'm going to make half an arch.

Now I'm on a show of hands. This is going to be the opening window arch of our boards, so I'm doing this freehand with a pencil and once it looks good, I go ahead and grab my scissors and I'm just going to cut that piece of the arch now, once that is cut out, you will see that you will have like an arched window design and This will be perfect for the cutout of my boards, so I am going to place it on my boards about three or four inches from the top and then I will trace it on the board of the that you want to make sure.

So this is nice and centered on the board, now you want to repeat that for your second board and once both sides have that image traced, take your cutting board and your blade again and then carefully rotate this shape slowly a few times . and it will come out right now you can clean up any jagged edges on the inside if you have any just repeat this for the second board until they are both done so now we are going to work on the shelf and this is where our falling tower blocks come into play, so I'm going to grab six blocks, we're going to make four sets of six blocks, now I'm going to use my hot wood glue, but you can definitely use wood glue or super glue.

Also, when using hot wood glue, I like to glue two pieces at a time, wipe off any excess at the joints, and then turn the blocks over as I go. I find that this makes the piece really uniform all the way through. way if I flip them, this is just a process I love to do when making long strips of wood. Now here are my six blocks together and I'm going to repeat this until I have four, as seen here now on the second set of blocks. I'm going to build together sets of three, so we're going to put three blocks together next to each other the same way we did it the first time and we're going to make four of these and here they are ready to be foreign.

Now that our blocks are all together, we'll take two of those six sets of blocks and join them side by side as shown here, just add a generous amount of glue to the center and then we'll squeeze and press them together until they're together. This will be the platform for the frame of our applique and we're going to do that for two sets, now for the three sets of blocks we'll simply stack one on top of the other using a generous amount of glue on the center stack. put it right on top and tighten it down to make sure it's even and now we have a centered support for our two little tray supports so now we're going to add that little support to the actual tray at the bottom and we're just going to glue hot glue that, as shown here, right in the center, making sure it's nice and aligned with the edge and we're going to repeat this for the second one and now we have two little tray holders that we can add to our appliqués, so once that's done, go ahead and protect your work surface, we're going to paint them, so I've got my little support shelves.

I have some larger craft sticks from the Dollar Tree and I have about six of those and then I have these smaller craft sticks from the Dollar. Tree of these, I have about 10 or a dozen of them and they come in packs of a hundred. Now I'm going to paint them with some black acrylic paint. Now I'm going to add a generous amount of paint to each of them. these pieces on the top bottom and on the side, you want to make sure all the surfaces are nice and covered on these stands and once the stands are done, we're also going to paint all those craft sticks and you want to leave them. completely dry, so while they dry, we're going to take our boards with our cuttings.

For this I wanted to have a white finish. You could use chalk paint, but today I'm going to use acrylic paint. I'm just going to add a little bit. the boards and then I'm going to go over them with a chip brush that I bought from the Dollar Tree. I didn't want this to be a solid dull finish. I wanted to see some of that wood grain underneath to keep with that nice rustic farmhouse look and then I'm going to make sure to do an up and down stroke so that the grain shows up really nice and I'm going to make sure to do this for both pieces and leave them dry and now that When it's dry, go ahead and turn them back.

What I'm going to do before I add anything to the front is I'm going to add the hanger so the hanger of this is just some thick jute twine and I'm going to apply it to the back on top by just adding two tablespoons of that hot glue to wood on each end and then pull that strong jute rope really tight so it's nice and taut, then add a generous amount of glue to the top of those ends and I'm going to place a little piece of craft stick right on the top of the end. Now the purpose of adding that little bark back at the end is not only to cover the raw edges, but also so I can staple it into place and I didn't want that staple to go through the front of the sign, so thatExtra piece of wood just adds some support stability while giving it a nice, neat finish.

Now we're going to repeat that for the second one as well and once that's done, I'm just going to do some house cleaning. I know this is the back of the sign, but I just wanted to clean up the paint a little to make it a little more presentable. Finishing the front and back of my projects, I think is much more professional, so I continue working on the back of those little signs. I'm going to take these little craft sticks and I'm going to put two of them in each one. of those windows as shown here, this is starting to create pain or have the pain design on our little window, so once you have them nice and evenly spaced, add just a DONT of hot glue on each end and secure them in his place is now fine. work with both sides next to each other to make sure they're both very even, but if you're just doing one, you don't have to worry about that, so now that we have those crossed ones there, let's add the one in the center now these sticks are a little short so I have to work with them by cutting them a little bit now they will overlap on the back over one of those craft sticks so you don't see the seam. you just want to add two of them to the bottom half first and then add the other top half and then join them on top as shown here, so this is what they both look like and the window pane layout is done, like this So now we're going to add the molding to the ceiling.

This is where we will use those larger craft sticks for Dollar Tree. Now I'm just going to lay them on top and then mark an angled cut on top. so it will be attached at an angle at the top of the roof knot, if the craft sticks fray a little, that's okay, we'll touch it up with paint now, as you saw, I placed the other craft stick that was cut right on top. up to get the same angle on the opposite side and this way you know your angles will match up perfectly on top, so now that they are hot glued on top I'm just touching them up with a little bit of acrylic paint to cover that cut strange to the other, we already have those pieces ready to go, so now we're going to grab the little support shelf at the top, now we're going to apply this about an inch and a half up from the bottom, but you can add it wherever you want.

Now I'm going to apply this with some hot wood glue. You can definitely use wood glue or any type of adhesive you like and I'm just going to adhere this right in the center making sure it's nice and level. Now you're going to do this for both pieces and then I'm going to continue with just these half inch wood screws on the back. Now I'm making a small point. where it comes back through the center of the shelf just looking at it and taking these little screws and screwing them through the back of the sign into the little support housing and this thing that was just added adds some security to it to make sure it doesn't come off . and once it's secured, it's there and it can support all of your projects and here are our two little pieces of shelving from the house all ready to go and here are you guys.

I really love how they turned out now that these pieces were inspired. from a set I saw in a local store and I just had to give them my personal touch to make them my own now these little shelves are very practical and can be used for plants, so you can put battery operated candles on them and much more. and these cute little windows also add a unique touch. Now I love neutral decor, but if you love seasonal decor, this would be a perfect piece to decorate with. Now this project is a fence decoration with lattice panels.

We'll need one of these white lattice fences. panels from the Dollar Tree and a sheet of this blue patterned wallpaper from the Dollar Tree and we're going to need three regular sized recycled cans. Now we're going to start with the cans, so we're going to go ahead and grab the cans and our patterned wallpaper piece. Now I'm going to cut three pieces of this wallpaper, so I'm going to cut three strips to cover each of my cans. Now I'm going to use my metal ruler to make a guide of sorts and I'm making sure that the width of the strip I cut is about three quarters of an inch longer than the width of the can.

I'm doing a little test roll here to make sure everything is nice and ready. To cut two more and here are the three cut and ready to go, so now that we have the three strips cut, I'm just going to test them out to see how I want to apply them just to make sure it looks good. we can start removing the backing and I started at one end first but I found that starting a little bit inward works best so I peeled it off and added it a little bit further inward along that edge and then started applying it slowly. piece of wallpaper in place now I'm using a light hand with this because I noticed that it will tear if handled roughly but it smooths out very evenly around the can so let's take that overlapping edge and what we're going to do .

What we need to do is use our utility knife and I'm just going to cut little nicks in that or little slices in that overlap about every inch because we're going to be folding it into the inside of the can and I think making those slices is a good option. it even bends and prevents wrinkles along the edge and this is what one of the finished cans looks like, we are going to repeat this for the other two and now that we have all three, I decided to cover the bottom of them with a little paint white acrylic now you can definitely do this before applying the small sheet of wallpaper, but I didn't decide to do this until after I started the project, so I'm just going to apply two coats of acrylic paint letting them dry between coats. and this is how it looks, now you can also paint the inside, but since I can put real plants inside, I decide to leave them natural, so now what we are going to do is take our cans and we need to drill some holes. to apply them to our lattice fence panel so I'm going to use a drill bit big enough to put some zip ties on and what I'm going to do is take my ruler so I can measure how far down I want my holes so I decided to use about an inch and quarter down and I'm just making a little line with my Sharpie and then once I make that line, I'm going to punch two holes on that line about an inch apart.

Now you just want to keep in mind that where you drill the holes is where the seam of the wallpaper is, so you want it to face the back so you don't see it from the front of the project. Now here are the two holes. this can and then we're going to repeat this for the other two cans, okay, our three cans have our two holes and now they're ready to go, so now we can grab our lattice fences and go ahead and remove them. the labels and then we're going to remove the little side clips on the side.

I'm using a pair of cable cutters, it comes off pretty easily. These others on this side were a little difficult, but if you have a sharp pair. The wire cutters catch right there, so you just have to be careful, just cutting them into little pieces at a time to keep the piece from cracking and then you'll see that it ends up with a nice smooth cut that we're going to make. Do that for both pieces and now we can see that both sides now have a smooth edge without that little clamp there, so the next piece we're going to remove are the little pegs on the bottom that we won't need this for. the project and again you want to take it easy with these two to prevent your piece from breaking.

Now we're going to reuse that little fillet there or actually both stakes, so make sure you cut them into one solid piece and then trim the burrs on that connection now, if you notice that one side of the panel is smooth but this side has the notches where you cut those little grips, now this is where those stakes will come into play, we'll use them to insert them into the back to cover those holes in the side, so let's reuse them now, one of them is too long so I'll move on and I'll cut about an inch off to fit inside that slot on the back.

Now I'm just going to do a test fit and it looks like it's going to cover those openings perfectly, so we're just going to apply them with some hot glue now. applying them flat side down onto the actual fence panel and placing them snug against the edge where that opening is and this should really camouflage that opening and make it look nice and clean so now once that's done, let's start determining where we want our can, so of course we'll have one in the middle and two on each side, we just need to make sure they're evenly spaced, so I'm going to determine the right side.

First, I'm going to go ahead and drill two holes about an inch and a quarter apart on that side and then in the same spot on the opposite side I'll do that and finally two holes in the middle, so now we have three spots on our panel of the fence to apply our little decorated cans now to apply them to the fence panel. I'm going to use some of these zip ties from Dollar Tree. These white ones come in a pack of 60, which is a great deal if you guys can get yours. Let's get to work, go ahead and get those great ones for crafting, so first I'm going to insert one of these zip ties into each of the holes on the fence panel and then once they're all in I can go ahead and start applying my cans. now I'm going to take the end of the zip tie, go into the can, roll it out the other side of the can and finally go back to the back of the fence panel.

Now you just want to pull the tails with zipper closure on the back are tight. You don't want to secure them at this time because you may need to make some adjustments. Just go ahead and apply all three in place first in case you want to change some or there are some repeating patterns. and then once it looks good you can go ahead and secure the three zip ties to the back of the fence panel and then once they're tight go ahead and cut all those tails off and here they are nice and secure. your panel, so now what we're going to work on is our tie, so I'm going to use some of this jute twine from Dollar Tree.

I'm going to cut two pieces and then tie knots at each end as shown here. The pieces are about three inches long, but we are going to make a loop for each end of the back of our little fence. Now I didn't want to drill any holes in the fence and that's why I'm going to apply these loops. on the back like this, so I'm going to fold that little loop in half and place it on each of the fence end pieces shown here and just put copious amounts of that hot glue on top of they. knots letting them dry completely now once they dry this loop is attached it will hold all your plants and decor there no problem it really does a great job of adhering to the plastic on this fence you want to do this on both sides here are both sides with that glue you will see .

I used a very generous amount and let it dry completely, so once it's dry we can turn it over and now we can decide what we want to add to our little decorative tins. I have some bunches of eucalyptus. I always use these from Walmart, they are really affordable and very versatile. I'm just going to stick one on each of my canned pots in the front and then if you want you can add some accessories like this farmhouse bead or anything you like and now it's time to hang it and you guys this turned out so amazing .

I had been looking for these pieces closely for so long at Dollar Tree and I am so excited to create this cute wall decor piece with Now there are so many ways to decorate with this and I know you all are very creative and we will find some amazing uses for this too part. Now this project is a mason jar game with Trey, now we are going to need three mason jars and these are available at Dollar Tree but they are much cheaper at Walmart in case you also need one of these Dollar Tree signs So what I'm going to do is I'm going to start working with the Mason jar, so I'm going to go ahead and take off the lids and the seals and make sure they're nice and clean.

Now I will paint them. with a little bit of white chalk paint and I'm going to put a nice coat on each jar. Now you can definitely use acrylic paint or even spray paint, it's all up to you. I just like chalk paint. I'm going to put on a nice cape. nice nice and thick and I wanted it to have a rustic look so only one coat will work for my project so you want to make sure all three jars are nice and painted and let them dry now once they're dry we're going to seal themwith a layer of mod podge.

Now I have a satin finish here, but you can use any finish you want now, once you paint it you need to set them aside to dry completely, so while they dry, we're going to work on our sign which will become a tray so go ahead and remove the sign insert and then we're going to take some pliers and we're going to remove all the little pegs that are holding that sign on the inside and now We can paint our pieces so I'm going to use black acrylic paint to go over all the pieces like this So I'll start with the back of that sign.

Go ahead and apply a good coat of that black acrylic paint. Make sure you make even strokes on all sides and then you'll want to paint the frame as well. Now I noticed that my frame had a shiny texture after I started painting it, but I found that adding two coats solves that and you can sand it too. Before you paint, if you want, now you just want to make sure that they're both painted and let them sit so they can dry completely and they'll have this beautiful finish now again. We want to seal this with Mod Podge to prevent chipping. our project and just apply a nice even coat on both pieces and once they're dry they'll have this nice even look, so now we can insert that bottom into our tray to add this permanently, we're just going to apply one coat. of that hot glue on the inside edge of our frame and then we're going to take our sign and place it right inside and press it firmly into place.

Now I think I could probably reuse this piece of ours, so I went ahead and removed it. from the back and to make it nice and clean, I'll add a little bit of hot glue to the back and insert an extra piece of craft paper right on top to make it look neat. Now I've overlapped some paint on the back, so I'm going to go over it lightly with sandpaper and that will also create a nice clean look, so now our glass jars should be nice and dry and I have this Farmhouse tape on hand , so I'm going to take some of this check from Buffalo Farm. ribbon and I'm going to tie a bow around each of my jars.

Now you can add whatever you want, you can add any type of ribbon you want or you can add designs on the jar, you can cut them out with Cricut or print them, it's all up to you. I just wanted to keep this nice and simple so I could reuse these jars and change them out with the seasons, so all I did was write a really simple cubic lasso on each of my jars. so now all you have to do is add greenery of your choice and I'll add some of this boxwood from Walmart. I think it's absolutely beautiful and fits perfectly into this design and then add three of your glass jars directly onto the tray and they fit perfectly. and here are my sweet little jars on display on the tray and I love how simple and easy they were to make.

Now you can add any type of filling you want to these and change them up for the holidays and this little tray is perfect for the appropriateness of displaying these jars now too.
