. I say, get the family. together one night and have a DIY ornament night, make it a tradition because that's what I'm doing and I add these ornaments to

your

tree every year.

I can't wait to show you these DIY ornaments. I think you're going to love these so I'm going to stop talking let's jump into this and make a Christmas tree on a budget because that's what we do here let's get to it who is today's KB Creations Crafter of the Day the one you want to stay with until the end? the video to see if it is your creation that appears in today's video. I say next time you're at Dollar Tree stop by the toy aisle, pick up a couple boxes of these spinning tower blocks and make these DIY ornaments with me for these first ones. two ornaments, well, you will need seven of those blocks.

I've only shown five, but you'll start by painting one black and three white and you'll also need a red block. The red I'm using is a little Waverly crimson with just a touch of brown to mute it and give it a rustic feel for this last block. I'm going with the neutral color. This is a versatile piece, so I say get creative and make it your own. You can totally do it. look where I'm going with these diys, it takes some glue. I'm going with super glue wood glue because I've seen great results with this. I encourage you to use a sticky glue instead of a hot glue. glue because when you use hot glue there will be a gap between the blocks and so for a more polished and finished look you should use something like this glue which won't leave a gap so I'm going to glue two of the white ones together with the black block and you saw what I did with the neutral red and white, yeah the theme of these DIYs is definitely Frosty and Santa all the way to the side, there I painted one from Dollar Tree I guess. accounts, but I guess I'm not going to do that yet.

I'm going with some tape. This is a red plaid ribbon that I bought at Michaels and have been using. I would say that I made most of my Christmas crafts very fun. cocoa tray the other day for my Mystery Box challenge and yes, this ribbon was the theme that went with that tray, so for Frosty and his scarf I'm using this ribbon. I'm glad I had that talk. Amper Santa. I wanted to go with a little bit of a rustic look so I'm going to use this perfect burlap ribbon because we can and this bead is perfect for Santa's nose for the face.

I'm just going to use some puffy paint from Dollar Trees or is it fabric paint one on the Same thing I'm going to say because it's

to work with it will add texture Dimension and yeah so I'm going to keep it very basic and not think too much about its faces, the more imperfect they are, the more perfect they will be, it adds to that rustic feel. that homemade handmade touch because these are ornaments that need hangers so I'm going to use this fun new twine that Dollar Tree started selling a few months ago and I've been looking for an excuse to use it.

I'm going to say they are super cute but they could be cuter I feel like Frosty needs some rosy cheeks and so does Santa. An easy way to do this is to use an oil pastel. Yeah, this is one from Crayola that Ali had in her stash taking a brush step by step and going through it. that oil pastel, you're going to put a little bit of that oil pastel on your brush and then you can easily add that soft, blended look to Santa's cheeks so you don't get those harsh lines when using paint. Dollar Tree has oil pastels so I say pick up a package and put it in your stash and with that we have we have two adorable ornaments how cute and stinky are these for the next ornament oh my gosh I love this one.

Now you will need three Jenga blocks with these Jenga. blocks, you're going to glue two of them next to each other on one right here at the bottom because I'm decorating Ray's tree with my DIY homemade ornaments. I'm going to make several of them once they're dry we'll give them a good coat with some black chalk paint and since this is Frosty's hat it needs a ribbon right along the brim so I'm using a white and black, I guess gingham Buffalo, look, you choose papa papa, I'm taking some of these Christmas tree scraps. and when I tell you that they are remains, they really were, they were in my trash from a garland I made.

I'm going to hot glue some to the edge and add some berries. This was an afterthought, some are going to do it. Tell him Kelly, why didn't you sand this hat properly beforehand? Because easy, it was an afterthought. I didn't think about making it until it was finished and once I looked at it I thought this hat looks too clean, neat and perfect. it needs to look a little rustic aged and worn, so yeah, with that grab some sandpaper, sand those edges and like that, I'm happy it looks exactly how I want this hat to look, quick tip when you're making your ornaments. and you're putting that hanger on them if you glue them, I guess the ends on top of each other like this and you have this loop that will keep your ornament from twisting from side to side once you put it on the tree that your ornament is on.

I'm going to look forward and yes, I know those little things bother me and this is an easy way to prevent that from happening. Could you take a look at how cute and stinky they are? They're quick, easy, and cheap, and were made from falling tower blocks. It doesn't get any easier than this. I love them. You can make so many with a box of Jenga blocks for the next ornament. Oh, this one is cute too. You will need four blocks and you will glue them together forming a square. Like I'm doing here for these ornaments, I'm going to go the traditional color route because I want to add a little bit of color to lift trees in flocks, so I'm going to use that crimson red and the fern green from Wafer Lee and yeah.

A little brown was added to both. Then, on my computer, I did a Google image search. I looked around for some Christmas clip art, once I found the images I was happy with I went ahead and saved them to my computer and printed them. and the size is one inch by one inch which will fit perfect for these, so right on the back I'm going to go ahead and take some hot glue and run it along those edges. Yes, you can see that this paper. I have to say it. When I was painting my ornaments I thought I grabbed a piece of paper from my trash and I didn't, it was actually the clipart and since I didn't want to reprint it I had a show so I just went ahead and cut it out and used it all ways because no one will notice and, once again, this was an afterthought.

I tell you my head hasn't been completely in the game, but it's in the game enough to help me. I suggest that if you are going to sand the pieces, do it before hot gluing your image, it will probably be a little easier, but it still worked. I did the work and added that age worn look to these too and why. Don't finish the front of this with one of those fun little ornament packs that Dollar Tree has right now, they have a great selection of them. I had this snowflake on hand so that's what I'm going to use and again I'm going to add my yarn hanger to the back because it's an embellishment these are so quick and easy and you can really get creative with these maybe give them a normal picture, school photos, give them Dollar Tree now has Scrabble tiles, incredible, right, they do.

In two different packages, you can get a natural wood package or you can get a multi-color package that is in black and white. Now Crafter Square I'm going to tell you that I wish you had made a solid black pack and a solid white pack. package because I find it absolutely frustrating that it's a multi-color package because I don't always want to use black and white. I want to use white or black or this neutral wood, however for this DIY I am using the neutral wood. I was going to use black and white but I couldn't get a uniform pattern because of the colored letters, which was also frustrating, so for this I'm spelling King in Ibiza Ibiza is his dog his Labradoodle.

I wanted to add a little. of color and personality to this piece and an easy way to do it is to use the ribbon, this red plaid ribbon for the hanger and finish it with one of my fun bows. Such an easy way to add those personalized ornaments to your tree below. one is very easy using these beads that you can get at Dollar Tree Dollar Tree has a ton of different colors and styles of beads. I'm going with the raw wood ones because I have so many in my stash that you'll want to Get the Multi-Size Pack.

You'll start by stringing them on twine or whatever you want to string. You already know me. I stay true to my nature. Rustic burlap twine. Yes, that is the name of my tree. Well, race. tree this year too, so I'm going to go ahead and start with the smallest ones and make them small, medium and large, then medium to small and so on, we have a simple ornament that I guess feels like something like an icicle. Yes, why not, but they are accounts. I love it. You can make it as long or as short as you want.

For this one we're going to go back to those Jenga blocks. You will need five Jenga blocks. I'm going to glue three together next to each other. I'm going to take and paste two more, one on top of those three and one on the bottom. My thoughts were to make it look like a door originally again because I'm adding color to the raised tree. I'm going to go with the traditional red and green and black as well because we need to incorporate that rustic farmhouse feel into a flocked tree because why not these DIY stickers make perfect ornaments for, say, some DIY ornaments?

Now with these I decided to put them on after placing the hanger. the back because I wanted them to look dimensional when adding these DIY ornaments, I added a bead to the back to elevate it from what was supposed to be a door. I didn't go that route because when I added an account to handle it it just seemed out of place so I decided to stick with it because it still looked adorable and yes I still hadn't realized this was distressing before I finished the DIY but Anyway it turned out amazing. I wanted to do it. show you that at some point in this journey of these DIY ornaments I got familiar with the process, got smarter, got my head out of the clouds and discovered that it was easier to wear it down before adding the ornaments and hanger so it took me a minute this time, but it came out very funny.

These are the following. We're changing the subject a bit. Dollar Tree has these metal tags, they come in a pack of two, so with these I thought it would be fun to give them a nice coat. a little bit of that Waverly red paint when I apply paint to these galvanized pieces, I like to use a Dabber sponge instead of a brush for a couple of reasons, one using a Dapper sponge adds texture and two you'll get full coverage with just one coat. If you use a brush you will get dabs, it's much harder to even out and it will take several coats to get full coverage so I say just use a dabber sponge and you'll be fine. to go, these are tags, gift tags, why not?

So with these I used my Cricut and using some vinyl from Dollar Trees, I went ahead and cut out just a round trip and thought it would be fun to make one that says, "dad." visa and one that says dad visa and it looked a bit plain so I decided to go in and add something from my sewing course, why not? Adds a lot to the DIY sewing, dots, wavy lines, bars you choose by adding the Hangers on these tags. I decided to make one on top instead of hanging it on the side because I just wanted it to sit upright on the tree so you could read it.

Yes, that's why it's quick, easy and adorable for this next DIY I'm using. these wooden discs I found at Michael's, this is a pack of 16 that you'll get for three

s. You can find a disc similar to this at Dollar Tree for $25. It's thicker, but I say go to Michael's. their one

containers, one to five dollars, because you're going to find really cool pieces like this, you get 16 for three dollars, so it doesn't get any better than that, that's a lot of ornaments, I'd say two. thirds of the circle I'll paint it with a little bit of white chalk paint leaving that top third blind, top half well, it'll get a good coat with a little bit of black paint and I'll hand it over freely.

I'm not worried about the line. being perfect because it's going to be covered if it wasn't covered I would definitely use painter's tape to cover that mess. I just painted your basic popsicle stick black and it's going to go over that line and no one will notice that I did it freehand, it looks easy and for this snowman's face again I'm going to use the puppy paint and I'm not going to think too much aboutit. I'm just going to use a few dots and it will have an adorable result, just a little tip, if you add some white highlights to the eyes and nose it will really bring your character to life and well, since I have so many of these snowflakes, why Why not add one to your hat?

How nice. It's a fun ornament and you have 16 round discs, so I say make 16. Oh wait, don't use all 16 round discs on the snowman because this DIY is quick and easy and has a really fun rustic feel. I'm going to give this puck a good coat with some white chalk paint. This is a water-thinned chalk paint because it's not Waverly. I ran out of Waverly chalk paint. I'm using just a basic acrylic chalk paint, no acrylic paint, no chalk paint, so it will take a couple coats to get the full coverage I need. I'm looking, I'm cheating, I'm doing this because when I filmed this video, my Dollar Tree didn't have a lot of Christmas decorations instead of using vinyl, I use Dollar Tree window clings which would be a perfect alternative.

I would have used it. if they had it in my store, but since they didn't, this vinyl will work and I'm just going to frame this wooden record with some of the wooden beads from Dollar Tree. I feel like with the hanger it's the perfect excuse to add a little color and add whatever decor style you're trying to incorporate into your ornaments, so the black and white buffalo plaid wall art screams farmhouse and will be incorporated nicely into this, but it still felt like it was. I was missing a little something so I decided to finish this with yes, a plaid bow and I think that's the perfect finishing touch.

Make a bunch of these and add them to your tree for this ultimate DIY. I will use these wooden tags. 36 come in this package for five dollars. It doesn't get any better than there are so many things you can do with these besides ornaments, but today I'm making an ornament. I'm going to give them a good coat with some black chalk paint and I'm making several of these, remember because I'm decorating a raised tree with all my DIY ornaments, although you won't be able to see the finished tree yet because I haven't decorated it yet, but I'll get to those tags if you also want to use them for regular gift tags, what a fun addition, and you can turn them into an ornament.

Place them on the gift so that the person you are giving a gift to can place it on their tree. I love giving decorations on my gifts. I'm just going to add some fun holiday words to these labels using that white vinyl you can get at Dollar Tree by Crafter Square. Pick some up, oh why don't you? I can't help it. I will also finish them with some stitching when adding the twine to these wooden tags. I didn't want to leave it like that. I thought you know what, but you have extra of these wooden beads, so why not use it and add it to the top of that twine and just? add a little something to it because why not?
