I wanted to show you how you can use these solar lights inside the lanterns to simply remove the light from the stake it's very easy to do and then take some floral wire to create a shape like this it's basically two loops and a little hanger and then the light rotate the top like this and then hang it on the wire stand. This is a super easy way to create solar paper lanterns that are really beautiful and could even withstand rain, but I would recommend bringing them inside if you know when it's raining. is coming they will last a lot longer that way next epic tip 3 of these LED flashlights have been available at Dollar Tree for the past few years and a tip always buy one that still has this little red tab that just keeps the battery from being used while in the store.

It's never fun buying electricity. Take it home only to find out the battery is dead and since I'm going to spray paint them I popped off the bottom using a screwdriver and once I was done with all three I took some of this copper spray paint and gave it two coats. each flashlight and this is how they turned out and then I put the lights back on. I found that all you have to do is use a little force. and they snap back into place now you can leave them as they are, they make great table accents for parties or weddings or you can use a plant hanger.

I went ahead and spray painted copper to match the lanterns and then used pliers to pry it open. and I closed the chains, attached the lanterns to different parts of the hanger, which of course is customizable. I wanted to hang the mind on slightly different links and once I was done I turned them on and took them outside and that's how the project turned out. I love the golden glow of the lights and they also twinkle which is a very pretty and very whimsical effect. No. I also wanted to show you what they look like when it's really dark outside.
I really like the pattern they put on the fence and another thing you can do. What I can do with these is hang them from the inside of a wreath, that's where I put them. I think they look like bells and this to me is very rustic and very rustic. Now nothing ruins an outdoor gathering faster than mosquitoes and you can pick them up. above these Skeeter shaker candles I love that name at Dollar Tree that's what they look like out of their packaging and I thought I'd give them a

high

er quality look by putting them inside these clay pots.
I'll use two of the small ones and one larger one and some of these wicks that I bought for half price, so about a

dollar

fifty at a local craft store. I then took the wicks and hot glued one to the bottom of each pot to cover the drainage hole now if your pot has a hole that is larger than the base of the wick you can always use a penny but we don't want it to leak any wax. Then I put the four candles and a saucepan of water on the stove and melted the wax. over low heat for about an hour now it is important to melt the wax slowly so that the candles do not collapse or form air bubbles later.
I'm telling you, taking the extra time really makes a big difference once the candles are completely melted, I poured the wax into the pots, one candle filled each small pot and two candles filled the large one and I made sure to use a stick to center the wicks while the wax cooled. Now, one thing you will notice is that the pots look like this when they are finished, they look wet, but that's not a big deal because we are going to paint them, so after trimming the wicks I painted each pot with some chalk beads, but, Of course, you can make any color or pattern you want.
I would like it and once they were dry I took a sheet of sandpaper and sanded them again. Tears, how they turned out, they seem very pretty to me and they have a much better aesthetic or presentation than the jars and not only do they look pretty. It will also help you keep the bugs away. mosquitoes and I think they would also make amazing gifts and I also wanted to show you how you can make clay pot candles using these tall glass candles from the Dollar Tree. I have shown how to do this further. in depth in other videos on my channel and I will have those videos linked in the description box below, but basically I just melt the wax in a large pot one more time, very slowly and once the wax melts, I recover the wick using a craft stick and hot.
I glued it to the bottom of the pot and then poured the wax inside. Keep in mind that you can add fragrance oils or even lemongrass oil to the melted wax and if you find that your candle, for some reason, has sunk after cooling, you can do so. always add more melted wax on top to correct the mistake and here is the finished candle after painting it. I went ahead and distressed it as well using some sandpaper and I really like how this one turned out and this is how it looks outside for the next one.
In the project we are going to use these pots, they are new at Dollar Tree this year, their handles have little loops and hooks on them, which is a cool feature. I first took them outside to spray paint just the front black, this will make sense. in just a second and then I'm going to take some of these numbered stickers and place a one, two, and three on the front of each one, making sure they're completely smooth. I then spray painted the pots white and removed the stickers. to reveal the numbers, the stickers came off very easily and didn't leave any residue on the pots, which made me very happy and this is how they turned out.
I simply added some View V hardy greenery that I bought on Amazon to the inside of each one. one and place them outside. I think they look so good, the numbers are so vibrant and stand out against the white and of course you can put real plants or flowers inside these, just make sure to drill some drainage holes in the bottom and you two They also want to do that anyway if they plan to place the pots anywhere it will rain and the final DIY is one I've been thinking about doing for a while. I just grabbed five of these plastic pots, you'll see.
Later, I actually only ended up using four and I started by removing the label on the bottom of each pot, which luckily came off very easily, then I put on some gloves, I bought them from Dollar Tree and they are coated on the inside. and then I drew a circle on the bottom of each planter to use as a guide, then I grabbed a candy lighter and a utility knife, both items you can find at Dollar Tree. I created a hot knife to make a hole in the bottom. I cut, but I actually just pierced the bottom with a utility knife until I created a pentagon shape that came out like this.
Now it only took me about a minute to make a hole in the bottom of each pot and I was honestly just guessing how big the hole would be. It should be, please feel free to be more professional and measure once this is done. I took the planners outside and spray painted them black again. You can make any color you want with these and then I picked up this pot that I think came out last year. at Dollar Tree, it was the first time I saw it and I like how it looks like a barrel. Then I took one of these plastic wine glasses that come in two pieces like this one and taking a little bit of e6000, I applied a little bit around the rim. and inside the pot too and because six thousand takes a long time to cure, I also use a little hot glue to give it an immediate fixation.
The next educational dose of this

dollar

treat scooper comes off very easily and using a little bit of With some pliers, I twisted the end like this and the other end of the handle I'm going to leave it as is and I coated the inside with a little bit of e6000 and yeah , it can be very dirty and I placed it on top of the wine glass. I added a lot of hot glue for an immediate fix, which does look horrible, but no one will see that after several hours you should have a really sturdy setup like this, now it's time to put everything together.
I'm starting by putting stones in the sand at the bottom. or even concrete would work too, you just want the base to have a lot of weight to it. I got these rocks from the Dollar Tree. I filled the bottom with more UV resistant greenery and then started adding the other pots and making each one. The pot is tilted in a certain direction. I placed rocks on that side, hoped it made sense, and added more vegetation as I went. I continued this process until I added four of the pots, there wasn't enough room for the fifth one, but I think four.
It looks really cool and if you do it right it should be very sturdy but here's what the pot looks like upside down on the outside and again if you want to use real plants or flowers or if it's sitting somewhere where it's going to rain that you're going to to add. extra drainage holes in the bottom of each planter, but I am very happy with the result and think it would be a unique conversation piece and add some whimsy to your backyard or garden. Alright guys, that's it for my dollar.
