s laptop as if maybe it works but a seller was not really sure about it and also a lot of things are missing so the seller has no calculations to take this laptop to the repair store and offers me a fair price. 50 euros, which is a good risk, so I bought a stoptop in good condition without charger, without some parts, like without rum, without disk and with a broken screen, also the laptop has a little dust inside and a notice of corrosion. to the heatsink and some metal parts, which means this laptop was used in high humidity conditions, so at first I thought it would use some parts like keyboard, case, some other parts etc., but due to which is still a good laptop, I have decided to try it, so first I start checking the laptop because there is no rom, I put a run and now to test and when I try to connect the charger I saw that something is wrong here, the charger just does not enters.

The charging port, when I look closer, I found a metal pin stuck in the middle. The Dell chargers have a small pin on the inside and that pin was actually left over from the old charger. Fortunately, the pin was at the beginning and using tweezers and needles. somehow I was able to remove it without causing major damage to the charging port, in fact I scratched the port a little but there was no problem after removing the original metal pin from the charging port, I plug in my test charger, press the power button. Button, the laptop started but nothing happens just a black screen and soon after the laptop turns off automatically so I took my tools and started disassembling because I need to take a look from inside and find the source of the problem well when I took out the palmrest, I solved that the other rom is not here, but there is a gpu, the other parts are here, the motherboard looks good at first glance, but I also found out that the CPU is not here when I took the heatsink of the CPU I found. a thin sponge and the question is why would anyone use that, so someone put the sponge to protect the CPU socket and when I solved this I was hoping that the motherboard was ok otherwise if the motherboard was really bad, no one will care about the cpu socket now.

I took an Intel Celeron CPU that I use for testing, I just put the CPU in the socket, then mount the cooler and try to turn on the laptop. At first the laptop shows a black screen again, but after a couple of tries I finally got something. but because the screen broke to continue testing I need to connect the laptop to my desktop monitor and then I go through a basic testing process because I want to be sure that this laptop is working before I continue with other things when I check the laptop and when I fix the laptop it is basically fine, I continue with the disassembly because I need to check the other parts and because of the good cleaning, after I finish with the disassembly, I start with the cleaning and checking of the electronic components from the inside, like motherboard, gpu and anything. another and first I start by cleaning the motherboard and to clean the motherboard I used a soft brush, cotton swabs and 96 isopropyl alcohol.

Well, the motherboard is clean and now I move on to the gpu when I'm on the gpu, I'm going to say a Long story short, the gpu chip is covered with a very dry thermal paste and to remove the thermal paste I used a plastic spudger and a brush, but then I used cotton swabs and 96 isopropyl alcohol. Also, if you are going to clean any gpu, be very careful. Because on the GPU chip there are very small components that are covered with a dry thermal paste and also these components are very difficult to detect, so this process must be done with great caution and great care because if you damage some of these components, then the whole gpu can become useless, well, I'm done with the gpu and everything looks good, now I move on to clean the keyboard here first, I start by checking the keyboard from the desktop because to remove some dirt that is under the keys and that it is more difficult to reach with a brush or some other tool and then, as always, I start by cleaning each key separately using cotton swabs and 96 isopropyl alcohol and then I clean the keyboard well with brushes, the keyboard looks better and now I move on to cleaning the palm rest in Overall, the palm rest is clean, but again using brushes and isopropyl alcohol 96 I cleaned the palm rest in detail and also the other cables and buttons, now I move on to the heatsink and the cooling sources, like this So here I first start with the basic cleaning of the heat sink.

I mean I start by removing all the thermal pads and old dried thermal paste however then I will wash the heatsink and do a deep clean because the dirt on the cooling fans sticks to the blades I mean it's like concrete for one of I had to remove the top metal cover of the fans after removing the cover, first I went through a dry cleaning process and then I literally saw the boat cooling fans using 96 isopropyl alcohol after I finished cleaning the ship's cooling fans I move to. washing the heatsink I wash the heatsink because there is a lot of dust that sticks to the inside and warm water and soap is the only way to completely remove anything from the inside and I made a heatsink look new and I also washed the rest of the case which has no electronic components, but I did this process in a bathroom under a sink meanwhile I bought some upgrade parts including a new screen.

I mean, this is not a new screen, it is a used but working screen. condition, however, this use, the screens mostly get dirty, so again I go through one more cleaning process. After cleaning them, the screens looked better. I see a couple of scratches, but the scratches aren't really noticeable since it also snows. This is very common and highly expected. with used screens now, before starting to assemble, i took the top box because i need to fix the dents in the top box. There are more dents, but three of them are deep and very visible, so in this case fixing this dance is not difficult at all. and all I'm going to use is a soft cleaning cloth for a piece of wood and a small, light hummer.

The soft cloth is to prevent further scratches or damage. The wood is smooth and exterior and will not cause additional dents. a light hammer because it is easier to control the force of the impact, this is a very simple process, it is not complicated at all, it just takes some time to do it personally. I need about two hours until I fix the dance, so after this process, the place where the dance was before. You can tell, I mean they can't be removed 100%, but the surface is completely smooth, but except for the dance in the same way, I had to fix the hinges of the lower screen.

The hinges on the boat are a little loose and here using a hammer helps a little. metal pin connecting the bolt parts and finally everything is ready and now I move on to disassemble the laptop so do it right let's slow down and do the first update for this model. I bought the i7 2960xm, in fact I was planning to use a different CPU like i7 2630qm but for the same price of about 35 euros I bought a 2960xm which is a much better CPU and belongs to the extreme edition CPUs, so now let's do the following change and that is the rom on this laptop, I will install a 16 gigabyte one. of RAM in total, actually I was thinking of using 32 gigabytes, but 32 gigabytes is too much and also it will be a waste of money and nothing more, very good, and the latest update is 960 gigabytes ssd, in fact, this model has space for one more disk but 960 gigabytes are going to be announced for anything however later you can install another ssd or hard drive but for now I will use these 960 gigabytes alone well the laptop is almost complete and the last thing I have done here is Using a box of car polish, shine the whole case a little now, after polishing and doing the final cleaning, I moved on to install the windows and as Windows, I used Windows 10 Pro, I choose Windows 10 Pro because this laptop already has Windows connected. license, but because this laptop is not made to be

y compatible with Windows 10, I had problems with the gpu drivers, in fact I could not install the nvidia and intel hd drivers or if I installed the ball drivers, the computers laptops start to take a long time.

The laptop is so lucky that even I can't play videos and gaming performance is totally poor and I found out that the problem is coming from the latest Windows updates. In fact, some new updates are optimized only for newer hardware, but not for older hardware. like this now to fix this problem I first download the drivers and download the display driver uninstaller but before proceeding I disconnect the laptop from the internet because if the laptop is connected to the internet then windows will start installing the drivers automatically. In this case, I don't need Windows drivers. I need the drivers that I downloaded earlier.

Also this process requests safe mode access now to access safe mode. I press Windows and r at the same time to start execution and here I type ms config. in ms settings i select boot tab and here is save button then apply and ok now after reboot laptop will automatically boot into save mod and this is safe mod. In the safe mod, I open the display driver uninstaller and start by uninstalling the drivers for both GPUs, but I uninstall them one by one. I mean I uninstall the nvidia drivers then I restart the laptop after booting again in a safe mod and I uninstall the Intel HD drivers now when I remove the First I disable booting in safe mode but I didn't restart the laptop because I'm going to install the Intel HD driver.

In fact, I installed the Intel HD drivers while the laptop was in safe mode after installing the Intel HD driver. I rested the laptop and the laptop booted normally in Windows, now in Windows I continue installing nvidia drivers and finally after installing nvidia drivers everything started working normally without any problem and as a last step I continue activating Windows in this case. a Windows 7 license key to activate Windows 10, in fact, you can still use Windows 7 license keys to activate Windows support and this process takes just a couple of minutes and after making all these changes, this is the end result, oh, today, well, now Take a closer look at this laptop.

This is another laptop, but it is still great for many things like working or studying. It's also great for browsing the internet, watching movies and videos and is great for listening to music and almost all basic daily tasks. Also this laptop is Great for some games, I don't mean some latest games but some great old games and the first game I try is gta 5. In gta 5 I used medium and few high graphics settings and resolution of

screen, and in this game the frame rate is between 30 and 40. I know this is not much, but a game is fully playable.

The other game I'm trying is Shadows of the Tom Rider. Here we go with mixed configurations. I also meant half to walk and used a full screen resolution. and in the settings the frame rate is between 20 and 40. But if I use the lowest settings then the game runs much better but anyway I use higher settings because I want to see how this laptop performs and the latest game. What I'm trying is Witcher 3 Wild Hunt in Witcher. I mainly use the low settings and HD resolution and in the settings the frame rate is about 30. Well this is all about this Dell
