Debunking Exploding Egg Hacks & blowtorching chocolate | Ann Reardon

May 30, 2021
cadbury and cadbury apparently said they have a secret manufacturing process that is used when making flakes... how we make it is a closely guarded secret known only to a select few at Cadbury and a different spokesperson told the reason why it is difficult to melt It's because for almost a century we have deliberately controlled the final manufacturing process to ensure that the pleats of the bar crumble in the mouth. Interesting and that's it, there's no more information about it, that's all we have to go on. I love the idea that it's a closely guarded secret for 100 years, although it's like a challenge for food scientists in medicine.

Can we solve this? So let's see if we can figure out how to make flakes. We'll start with the first and only theory that can be applied there, which is dehydrated

chocolate

. We'll melt some regular

chocolate

, spread it very thin, and put it in a slow oven just to get some of the liquid out of it. There is not much. liquid in the chocolate anyway, it's pretty dry to begin with and you get a chocolate that's a little flakier but it doesn't taste good, it tastes more like baked chocolate chips and the real test we need to know is that it doesn't melt in the microwave like that let's put some of that in the microwave and take a look and it's still melting in the microwave.

More Interesting Facts About,

debunking exploding egg hacks blowtorching chocolate ann reardon...

That's not their secret, that's not what they're doing. One thing I would like to try is that when I was trying to melt the flakes, the texture of the flakes reminded me of what frozen chocolate looks like. If you haven't seen seized chocolate before, it's when you have regular chocolate and it melts and you add a little bit of water to it and then when you stir it, it becomes kind of crumbly and kind of hard depending on how much water you add, how crumbly it is. and hard it becomes. Obviously, if you're making a ganache or some kind of chocolate sauce, you can add more liquid to fix it and you'll end up with a sauce, but you won't be able to get the chocolate back to its original state.

So let's experiment with using seeds for chocolate now obviously I'm adding water and its ingredients don't include water but its ingredients do include milk and milk is made mostly of water so you could add a little bit of milk to the chocolate. of using water and then you wouldn't have to include anything different in the ingredients list. Now, if I take that chocolate and I roll it out very, very thin, I'm pressing as hard as I can between two pieces of baking paper to make it as thin as I can, obviously, they would have machinery that I don't have, but I'll do my best.

I can and then I'll fix it and, oh, that looks pretty good so far. If I take all those little pieces and try to square them into a bar shape, which is not bad for a first try, they will look better depending on how thin I roll the chocolate and also adjust the amount of water slightly up or down. It affects the color and how brittle it is. Now I think this tastes like flakes we can ask Dave to review it. Alright, I need you to put on a blindfold... mm-hmm... I'll give you something to try, but it will taste good... sure, okay, so I should have learned my lesson by now, but how ?
I look? Okay, okay, the reason you're blindfolded is because I need you to try to identify which chocolate bar it is, if you hold your hand out in front of you. Here we go. Okay, is it one or do you know? I don't know. Is it like turmeric and sardine? No, no, it is a normal chocolate bar sold in stores. Okay...Mmmm, crumbly and flaky...cadbury. It's like no other chocolate tastes like flakes... it's a flake! It is. Now for the real test, does it melt in the microwave? Normal chocolate is liquid and homemade flakes... it's brittle!
So you heard it here first. I think we just solved the mystery, the 100 year old secret of why flakes don't melt in the microwave and why they crumble in your mouth, so now you can make your own flakes at home, easily! Now I have a package that arrived in my mailbox and I'm a little excited because I think I know what it is. My publisher said they would send me an advanced copy of the book, which is just a digital print. It's not the full, proper print from the actual printer, so it won't look as bright as the book you'll receive, but come on. take a look at the book... look!
My book, how exciting! OMG, it's actually in a book. Now, of course, I've seen all of these pages before because I wrote them down and saw them laid out on the computer, but I haven't seen them in a bound book. It's very exciting, how cool is that?! It's a book with my name. Very exciting, I can't wait for you to get your hands on a copy too, it's great and if you've pre-ordered don't forget to enter the contest to win the Furi knife sets for your chance to win that and also If You are a patron and have pre-ordered, fill out the form to get your exclusive limited edition holographic signed book plate that you can stick to the front of the book and I have hand signed the ones where the signature is not printed. they are all individually hand signed for you.
The next video was sent by Rose and she said this is really crazy. 5 Minute Ideas has a video that says that if you drink Coca-Cola and use it as mouthwash, you will whiten your teeth. So I messaged my friend who was a dentist and asked her what she thought of this and I'll read her response because it was quite detailed, she says: Coca-Cola has a ph of 2.2 and teeth whitening agents have a ph from 5.3 tooth enamel dissolves at 5.5 or less   as Coca-Cola is so acidic it can dissolve enamel and by physically dissolving the outer layer of enamel it can appear to make your teeth whiter initially because if you had stains on that outer layer of enamel and Now I have removed it which at first might appear a little whiter, but coca also contains caffeine and chromogens which can deposit on the teeth as a stain and this can counteract the erosive effect of physically removing stains.
If enough coke is consumed, so much of the tooth enamel will be dissolved that the yellow color of the underlying dentin will be exposed and the teeth will appear more yellow instead of white. I happen to have some baby teeth on hand. This baby tooth appears to be in good condition. I'm going to put it in the glass and then fill it with coke. I have another tooth and I'm going to put it in Coca without sugar. and for control I have a glass of water with another tooth in it and now we will wait all night to see what happens.
Here's the tooth that was in the water here's the sugarless coke oh that's a little gross and coke look at that brown tooth. The water one looks great, but both of the cape are brown. If I turn it over, you can see the piece. which was resting on the bottom of the glass, it was protected and not exposed, it doesn't look as bad as the rest. I wonder if this will come off with the brush or if it stains the tooth, even after brushing and rinsing, it's not that bad but it still has a light brown tint.
It is not a good method to whiten teeth. I definitely don't want to soak my teeth. teeth in coke. It reminds me a little of the experiment in which you put an egg in vinegar, I don't know if you've seen that one, I do it for you by putting a whole raw egg with shell in a glass of vinegar and you leave it. and after a couple of days the acid in the vinegar breaks down the shell of the egg so you're left with just the egg with that membrane around it, there's no shell left so it's like a bouncing egg and to show you it's not hard.
We'll just pierce it and see that we have that little membrane that was left there, the egg and a little bit of the vinegar that went through the membrane. Thanks to everyone who sent me
