spicy

sauce? I mean, I think so, but I'm realizing that now and having watched the show and realizing the Scoville scale as something I became aware of. which I don't know where anything I've eaten makes jokes on that scale, so I consider myself someone who likes hot sauces and spicy foods, but everything I've ever eaten could be on this extreme here and and today I'll experience what it's like. the other extreme, so we'll see for a long time I've been legitimately nervous about the energy, it's a really cool thing, yeah, that's a crime, so I want to start by talking about your latest film, Escape from. pretoria, which tells the real life story of three political prisoners who escape from a prison in South Africa in the late 1970s and it really is a unique and daring escape when you think about your real life conversations with the real Tim Jenkin , what

When you think about what he says and how it all worked out, the amazing thing about Tim, for anyone who doesn't know a little bit about the story, is basically one of the reasons he was so into this movie and the script. It was that it seemed like it was a true story and it was the true story of one of the most unimaginably brilliant escapes I've ever thought of and I thought, how come this isn't better known about Tim Jenkin, the guy I play? I found that the locks were big enough. If I can collect enough wood from the workshop, I can make a key that fits out of wood.

It's a very, very interesting story. How many times did it take you to open the door from the inside? of your cell phone using a broomstick attached to a key so many and I'm glad you asked that question because this doesn't mean I will, it's like I'm not usually a person given to bragging or talking, but I will say I was the only one of us who managed to do it. It was definitely like getting to the point where I was like, "I can do this, I can do this," and the director was like, "No, we can fake it in the editing." Okay and I said, No, no, please wait, give me one more chance and I said, Yes, but we really want to have lunch.

tly like my best work on film at the moment, I'm very proud of it, very happy with it, this is all about holding on to this feeling of enjoying them, there we go, so one of the most underrated British exports It's your television. quiz shows and panel games that often spawn remakes popular around the world as trivia, ask yourself how to explain Britain's obsession with the quiz show format. Well, first of all, the BBC's British quiz shows are my favorite because they're government-funded, they can't be seen as too crazy about giving away money, so people don't really do it just for the love of it. quizzes, it's one of the holes in my cultural life in America, now I definitely miss you and that's why I have to say you know Jeopardy has really filled that void.
Very sad about the Alex Trebek news as was the world. Yeah, let's talk about Jeopardy for a second because I know it's a show that you. I've gotten into the habit of recording every time you're in the United States. Did you see that in 2014 they had an entire category dedicated to Daniel Radcliffe? I know, no, that was, yes, that was my case. It struck me that it was an incredibly cool moment. I see a question about me on a quiz show and I don't get excited it's the moment I know I've died a little bit inside um because there's something weird like hey, that's me, that's crazy like um thing that happens, that It's, uh, yeah, I was, yeah, I was really excited about that and then, of course, we have to talk about Alex Trebek.
It's been great to see all these touching tributes to a guy who seems to be a part of it. of our lives for decades what, in your opinion, is Trebek's magic as a host on that quiz show format. I think it's that he, um, you could really tell how much he liked the competition and the game, um, and like you know. You looked at it like he didn't mind a little, but like when you didn't like it when someone didn't clear a board and when there were still some questions left or when no one ended up with much money because no one did it really well.
He'd just be like, "Okay, well, you know, we'll double jeopardize after we break up. I'm sure we'll all do better." So you could say he loved watching people who were really smart do well and that's the essential joy". of a quiz show and being the only person to ever host it, I mean I'm sure they'll find someone you know awesome for that job, OMG they have giant shoes to film in, wait, this is where DJ Khaled is stopped every season. put different sauces, but yes, the equivalent of the third one, okay, no, this is fine, I'm still, so you've probably spent thousands of hours of your life answering questions about Harry Potter, so I apologize before we continue . but you know, the public would rebel if we didn't take the flight to talk about your role in one of the highest-grossing film franchises of all time.
Can you give me a highlight and a negative when it comes to the food you ate? to eat and the world of Harry Potter, yes, definitely, the crazy banquet scenes at Hogwarts where there was everything, you know, the breakfasts, particularly where it was like I was just an 11 or 12 year old kid, just piling on fried eggs and bacon and sausage and baked beans every morning for just a few days, that was great and then in one of the movies, I have to eat ghillie grass, which I think was like black licorice lace, it was designed, you know, it was designed to look like a species of underwater algae. plant um that then I would like to shove a shovel down my throat and that was pretty disgusting.
I remember on the third or fourth day thinking, oh, how many more of these are we going to make? I read that you wore out something like 60 or 70 wands and I reviewed 160 pairs of glasses, those reports are exaggerated or so they seem accurate, I would definitely say they are greatly exaggerated, so I definitely didn't break glasses that often. I don't think the ones I definitely like break very much because I would just like to touch my legs with them all the time and do it incessantly and probably once every three or four weeks I would just like to weaken them to the point. where it broke and then I told the prop master I was so sorry and he looked at me like please stop playing the drums.
They, yes, were very, very kind to us and tolerated more than I expected from an adult actor. I heard that that scene in Professor McGonagall's classroom had something like 60 animals on the same set, is that true and if so, what do you remember from that day? Oh, debating whether that's enough, I mean, I have to tell the story you've asked about something so specific at McGonagall, I definitely remember there were a lot of animals. First of all, to address that part of the question, they must have had more than 60 there, I can't imagine they were frequent. all together on set, um, but definitely in that scene, in the transfiguration classroom, there was a monkey of some kind in a cage that started masturbating relentlessly, but in general, the animals are very well behaved, although I think I think Rupert got peed on by a bat at some point too, um, but yeah, I got away pretty clean after that, that's pretty nice, so in addition to your TV and film resume, you've also taken your talents to the stage, even getting a glance. and Drama Desk Award nominations for his work and How to Succeed in Business and Equus, respectively, which is a tougher group for movie critics or theater fans to please.
I mean, I think there used to be more of a divide between similar actors who make movies. go on stage and you used to get the feeling that theater critics just wouldn't like actors if they were mostly from movies or like they were going to do it, but I think that doesn't exist anymore, as I definitely do. I'm not someone who has especially suffered from that, I can't divide them. I think if you make something bad, it's hard to please everyone, and hopefully if you make something good, the people it's aimed at will like it. I feel confident.
I'm going to have more on the other side, okay, okay friends, okay,

daniel

, we have a recurring segment on our show called explain that grammar where we do a deep dive on our guest Instagram, we take interesting photos that need more context, but you, daniel. You've stumped us because you don't have any social networks to speak of and that's probably for the best, but why have you decided to stay away from the apps? I'd love to say that there's an incredibly thoughtful intellectual reason for this because I considered getting a Twitter at one point and I know 100 that if I did, everyone would wake up to stories of people like, frankly, getting into a fight with a random person on Twitter, like when I was younger, not anymore, thank God, I liked looking for comments on I'm on the Internet and I'd like to read like that, that's kind of crazy and bad, and to me I like Twitter and everything feels like an extension of that and I like it, if you have to like it, unless I wanted to go.
I continue and like to read good things about myself, which also seems like other kinds of unhealthy things on top of that. Honestly, I don't think I'm mentally strong enough, but right now I'm kind of like that. I agree with that on the topic of protecting your privacy. You know, often on the show we'll talk about the paparazzi evasion tactics that some of our guests have used over the years and you have one that's brilliant. one we've talked about internally for a long time where you wore the same leather jacket in public for six months straight as a way to frustrate photographers.
Where did that idea come from? Was it your idea or did someone give it to you? It just happened, it was when I was doing equus in London and basically, as you know, you're in a situation where the paparazzi know where you are and no, you're leaving around the same time every night, so if you just want to like it taking pictures of yourself looking tired and pale, which is my you know, my favorite look. Then you know they can wait on the side where you come out and take them when you leave because it's the same door, it's the same background, I go out the same way every night and if I wear the same clothes, they all look like they were from the same day, like that. which has no more value, um, so I just.
It was great, I feel totally comfortable wearing the same pair of jeans in this jacket for the next three months and I can do it, so I did it and then I also have to say that I got a gift once, which is crazy. Someone makes this because it's a niche market, but they gave it to me because it's an anti-paparazzi jacket and it's one of those jackets that only works at night, I think, but if you wear it with the hood up. and it's night and you take a photo with a flash that erases everything on the camera except the hoodie, so you just get a photo of a floating ghost hoodie, um, and I've used it once and never I saw them. pictures, so I can only assume it worked, wait for the other food to drop, that's really good, I really like it, this is good, oh god, okay, what are these last four going to be like? crazy enough, force against force, force, force, force, to close it. so cameraman Bill here is a great boss a24 and he actually put me with the swiss army man a

while

ago you play a farting corpse, what was the hardest thing about filming?
You know, propelling yourself through the water on your own gas by shooting acorns. The stream of water came out of your mouth, you know, cutting things with your arm like an axe. Which was on a behind-the-scenes level. The hardest water jet to shoot was pretty tricky I think, but again it was hands-on, which was awesome, so I got fed up with the shirt and it looked like it came off the side, um, but that was a little tricky. , but I think it's actually the closest, I mean, it was probably the most challenging to film, but also definitely the most, one of the most fun.
Things I've Done was the opening sequence where he uses me as a jet ski to escape from that island. It's the best opening sequence of any movie I've ever made with no question marks in my mind every day at that time.movie you entered. and we're wondering what crazy thing we're going to do today and how we're going to do it because it's not like they had a ton of money to pull off stuff like this, it was a low budget movie and it doesn't seem that way for a moment. in my opinion, because simply, yes, they are geniuses.
I know things are going to start to get bad next, because next is everyone's okay, I'm getting real, that's good, although there are still nice flavors I thought, so I stuck to my mouth. I thought there would be more that were spicy without anything else and until now, until now. this has a redeeming quality yes, exactly, there is something else going on and it's good what's in this and i will say this daniel, i know you were nervous before the session, but i will say it among your countrymen and among your fellow brits. they're already close to the top oh great, okay, that's what I mean, you're saying that for an English person you can take your spice, which is, uh, kind of a backhand, yeah, but a backhanded compliment, but I'll take it as someone who seems drawn to more esoteric roles I find your love of b movies really fascinating, in fact you said in a 2014 interview I guess culturally I'm not very cultured what, in your opinion, is the best dwayne johnson movie san andreas san andreas is not I like that the family story in San Andreas moved me more than it probably should have.
I think San Andreas is a really, really good disaster movie. He has one of those qualities of an actor that there is no movie that he has. done that's no better for it, which sci-fi channel original movie would you consider the greatest cinematic masterpiece, Sharknado or Big Ass Spider? Oh, I'd say Big R Spider for sure and I don't know what it is about them. I keep coming back and I really should watch proper movies because I often find myself on sets where the director says, Have you seen this movie? and I'm like, no, no, I've seen a bigger spider and I've seen Dragon Blade, um. and that's it, um, that happens sometimes and I need to get better references, oh my god, he's so thick, Jesus Christ, thick guy, ah, wow, wow, oh yeah, this is one of those where you get to that and you say: why? someone does this like what at what point in the like you know there's a testing process, there's testing things and they come up with this and they say it's perfect, leave it for, don't add anything else, don't take anything away, this is it, yeah . they liked it, yeah, oh yeah, this definitely reminds me of the hottest thing I've ever had in my life, which was a uh like a you know what I'm going to do, I'm going to pause and go get the milk you ate. . something at this level before anyone ever had a um, I think it was called snakebite venom jerky and it was just a sheet of uh like a kind of built-in meat, but it only covered the first two layers.
I, yes, absolutely covered the first two layers. like chili flakes and like you eat a small amount and it just takes over your mouth much like it's currently happening yeah I'm going to do a little test now so I have some regular milk and I also had a little almond milk to see if there is any difference and I find it more or less effective. I would be curious about the findings, rather ineffective. I still feel everything, so in the past it was kind of our trope. to talk to guests about their name checking in rap lyrics and i'm really excited to dust that off today because harry potter has to be one of the most name checked fictional characters in hip-hop history, so, what do I want? what you have to do is just bounce a couple of bars off of you maybe you like them maybe you don't like them maybe you're completely confused i'm just curious how each one reaches your ear and this first one is from the lupe fiasco keep them there the air like a swan's wing and I will keep it magical like the movement of Harry Potter's wand.
Great, that's very pleasant, that's great. I actually didn't know there was a Harry Potter story appearing in rap lyrics, so that's cool next. One is from Lil Wayne, who works them on my cane, but my name is not Harry Potter, they think I'm much sexier, your girls say the same thing as Harry Potter's broomsticks, there are a lot of penis things you can do there, one last one for you, this is from Cupcake, it's a beautiful CPR line and every time I want to be hairy like Harry Potter, Becky with the good hair is what you could call her, I mean, that's really really fun, so yeah, that's uh, yeah, that would be that one, that's my favorite, that one's awesome, I feel like there's a real jump, these two, I mean, I'm sorry, I'm openly on camera now, cool, um, but these two are how bad it's going to be because I can't, I mean I could and Even if they were good, can I try them now after I've done dabong?
Well, there's only one way to know for sure if I was going to ask you if someone ever called you a few days later and asked what you did to them. Yo, this is what I think ends up happening, I think

while

it's happening that's when it's most unpleasant for people, so during the actual interview is when I see that kind of stuff that's happening, what am I, the one who put me on this program? I'm stuck here, it's kind of a feeling I get from people sometimes, but then I think once people finish it, I feel like they almost feel a sense of accomplishment, so when they finish, I feel like they're like Hey, all of them. those things that happened before, everything is a thing of the past, now they think and then the next day when they don't feel anything they say, let's do it again, it's a very strange thing, yes, it's a kind of bond.
That way, before I do this, I'm going to refill one of my milk glasses because I spent a lot of that in the last one. Hey, that's the move. By the way, you are very kind to send milk. thanks for that, I had a few, but you're too kind, hey, shout out, dom, yeah, thanks, dom, um, okay, okay, okay, let's get this started. I don't know what a small one is anymore, so I can. I don't drink anymore, okay, I mean, impressively, it's cutting out the last one and replacing that flavor with whatever new flavor it is, but you're going to come back for more, I think I may be a bit of a coward, so I'm going to respect, yeah , the combination of all of them is almost like um, you know, yeah, it produces a slightly stimulating effect, there's like a nice little

head

rush

sometimes when the heart fades, that's fun, so I haven't met many Brits who prefer the American version of football, how come a child from the United Kingdom became consumed with playing fantasy and supporting the New York giants?
It was when he was doing the musical because he was doing how to be successful and someone told me. I need him to be pretending he's doing a fantasy league. Can I need numbers like? Can you just create a team? I thought it was fine and had no interest in it and then about three weeks later they informed me. that my team was oh and three because you know I hadn't opened my profile or done anything to it and I was like, well that sucks, I don't want to be Owen three, I don't want to be at the bottom of the league, so I guess I'd like to be interested on that and then it was like I became completely obsessed and like it was a perfect fantasy sport, there are so many ways to quantify football, not just in scoring, but in yards, and that. like you can create some kind of amazing game around it but um nfl and nhl because my girlfriend is from outside of detroit so she was a big red

fan growing up so those are my two adopted sports , okay, definitely, I'm still trying the last two oh yeah, I can already smell this, yeah, I just realized I was uh, I doubt I was rubbing a little more sauce on the plate.
I realized I just rubbed a little more of the pump by accident, that was a classic mistake. The hot pot mistake, but it's one you make when you fully commit to the process of making hot pots. Here we are at the curtain call, slamming the door on your episode and saying goodbye to season 13 and as we say goodbye, I'm also saying goodbye to some of these sauces, so I want to take this opportunity in the last episode of the year to ask you This, Daniel Radcliffe, would you be so kind? I would be honored if you could rate the Hot Sauce Glove from Season 13 of Sauce. whatever you like the most to the sauce you like the least, okay, yeah, obviously, this guy is right at the bottom, no one needs, no one needs to try that, um, I would say this one is also so spicy that it's not. really nice there is some flavor there but it's not, I wouldn't want my mouth to have gone completely numb so if you just want to experience that that's very good but it's not the bomb I just wouldn't do it no there is no reason. for that, um, then probably this one again because I like it, but then it would be this is my favorite, the rider that ended up being my favorite because it's like barbecue and intense with a little bit of that kick, but it's still very, very nice, same for I both really enjoyed them, uh, well, I was the one where I thought, oh, this is going to start to get nasty here and it's actually like just the right amount of fiery, oh yeah, that last touch.
It's really out there, isn't it? But you know what you handled, you took it under the wing of the hot man murdered by Daniel Radcliffe. Now there's nothing left to do but roll out the red carpet for you and say goodbye to season 13. This camera which camera probably just the camera that you're looking at lets people know what you're going through in your life, yeah, well, personally, you know how to build a bunch of Legos because you're in, but if you want to see things with me, um, you i want to escape victoria that's on demand i also did a movie called uh guns kimbo which is very, very crazy and it's also on demand i think i was in the kimmy schmidt movie that was on netflix this year with ellie kemper and a lot of other amazing things people and uh written by tina fey and robert carlock and genuine and sam media and meredith escardino thank god I remembered their last name um and uh they are amazing at what they put out what they wrote on that show it still blows me away so If you wanna go check it out , that's great too, good job, good job, thank you very much for having me, it was a very good interview, by the way, thank you very much and you know, we'll see how it goes. next time i go to the bathroom i can write and complain who knows hey what's going on hot ones fans shawn evans with a very exciting announcement get this people the hot ones 10 pack is finally here That's right, they've been asking us for years and years and years and after a little workaround with a certain sauce that's a little tricky with distribution, we finally put together the 10-pack of hot sauce just in time for the holidays, perfect for Mr. spices on your gift list or if you just want to ruin a family gathering, the hot ones 10 pack is here for you heatness.com heatness.com heatness.com to get the hot ones 10 pack the hot ones 10 pack finally we did it
