. I'm your host Tamara Levitt. Let's start today's session by taking a position that is comfortable. Feel the pull of gravity. Now your body is drawn towards the earth. Close your eyes and take a moment to scan your body. It's looking gently if. anything you want to relax or let go notice any emotions the state of your heart just see if something arises for you and wants to be recognized now settling into whatever is here with openness and attention as we often do to begin with let's take a little deep Breathe with each inhalation, but gently expand your abdomen and then release the air.

Fully enjoy each breath as it moves through you. Then relax your breathing so it feels natural. Let's take a few moments to pay attention to the sensations of the rise and fall of the breath, observing the breath. with a sense of curiosity noticing its rhythm noticing how it feels all the subtle details observe each breath with curiosity as it flows through you as you breathe you may notice emotions arising restlessness the feeling of

calm

board and fatigue you may experience happiness sadness anxiety peace confusion or anger, sometimes emotions come over us while we sit, our instinct is to push them away or maybe even stop our practice, so try to observe a movement without identifying with it so that you notice what arises, but realize that it is just a passing emotion. the emotion comes and goes it is not you, it is a temporary experience this moment watch how the breathing you can be curious about your experience stay close observe what happens as a witness so you do not feel pressured to run or move quickly through life better stay very close and be intimate with whatever is happening in your experience, knowing that everything arises and passes, rises and is possible, now relax your attention and gently there is a great quote by Joey Greene that says that the way to live in the present is remembering that this too shall pass when you experience joy remembering that this too shall pass helps you savor the here and now when you experience pain and sadness remembering that this too shall pass reminds you that pain like joy is only temporary and at the end of the practice of Take a moment today to praise yourself for working in ways that may seem challenging at times, some days they will feel easy and others they won't, but as you learn to work with emotion through practice you will find it much easier to work with it in the future.
