Jun 01, 2021
What's going on, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another Copart guided tour. I want to thank the Copart corporate office and thank you to the local yard. 18 people, the management here, the ladies up front who always take care of me every time I go. come and forget my bitter number, thank you all for allowing me to come out here and do this. We're going to jump right into this today because I don't have much time and I'm trying to make you another feature length. Copart

walk

s because it looks like you really enjoyed the last one that was an hour and a half long, so to start, we're looking at a Camaro SS.
copart walk around and carnage 4 2 19
This car has been here for many months. I'm not really sure why he's been. sitting here so long, but this car has been here forever and it really is a beautiful car, it was listed as vandalism, if I remember correctly, don't quote me on that, but I really haven't seen much of anything. It looks like it has been totaled, the car overall is in very good condition, they definitely put a windshield on it. I remember, I remember coming here when this tape was new, this tape was new, so they had replaced the windshield, so maybe there was something to that.

More Interesting Facts About,

copart walk around and carnage 4 2 19...

It has to do with vandalism, but that's certainly not going to ruin a car like this, it looks great, it really does now, there are some, there are some scratches, some cracks in the paint, some peeling here, nothing, nothing too serious . I'll be curious to know. Look at what this thing is selling for this week, if at all, the interior looks great. I know it's dark in here, you know, unfortunately I have no control over the lighting in this place, but the interior is not cut off. It was expected that maybe the seats were cut or the dash was cut or something, but it's not in very good condition, there's some discoloration here, but that's underneath where the glue was removed, so that's it.
copart walk around and carnage 4 2 19
I know it has 80,000 miles on it, so it's not low miles by any means. Something we can turn on. It looks like he's dead and the keys are stuck. Take a look at the engine real quick. Okay, we have the hood open. There's not much to see here, we've got some cobwebs, like I said, it's been sitting around, it looked a lot better when it first got here, it was very clean, it was very shiny, it definitely has a good look. I'm going to move this. The hood was closed on this and I don't want it to cause any damage.
copart walk around and carnage 4 2 19
I did not do it. It was like this when I found it. Let's get it out of the way. A very nice car. The engine is clean. I see. there's no leak at all but the hood closes much better now oh yeah if you're looking at this car you probably already know why we're looking at it well if you haven't figured out what this is yet we'll start with 49,000 miles on the clock and Now you should definitely know why we are looking at this car. This is a 2014 Dodge Dart. This is a fairly basic model. It really has no frills or thrills, just a normal cloth interior.
Regular stereo. practically all the bags in the front of the car, in fact all the bags in the front of the car have burst, this car will never get back on the road, you know, other than the significant damage to the front, we have a quarter of damage to the rear. It hits here, it's just not worth fixing, guys, we have some good rims, we have good tires, in fact all the tires look pretty decent, this has the same thing, that piece of plastic caught me right in the leg, there we are . I'm going to open this up and we'll close it again because I definitely want to see what kind of damage we're looking at here because that's going to affect what I have to do to get the engine out so we're not.
We will be able to open the hood in this case, the hood is stuck, which means to get it out we will eventually have to cut it, hopefully we can get to the hood latch and cut it, maybe you can see underneath, but we have the 2.0 VVT, it seems to be on good condition, everything under the hood looks good, listed as run and drive, and yes the body is pretty junk, but it has semi good tires, the tires really aren't that good, it has a good battery and it's listed It has to run and drive like I said, so let's put the key in it and see if it will unfreeze its power.
Hey and about that, it runs fine no check engine lights or anything so this car has 30,000 miles less than the dodge dart I have in the shop right now and we have the same automatic transmission the same engine we'll make sure let it go into gear it goes backwards it goes forward okay then it goes forward it goes backwards this is good this is Good, because when the time comes to sell the other dart we will be able to verify. I will have proof that we purchased a donor car that is 30 up. The check engine light just came on.
It's okay, although it probably has a vacuum cleaner. leak from the accident, I'll go ahead and close it, not that I think we're going to damage anything, but most likely there's some kind of vacuum leak or something going on under there, as you can see, it took quite a while. A loud bang. on the front, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's something misaligned or broken. Oh, I see the air intake box there with the I don't know if it's a map sensor. I think it's a map sensor, but maybe ground. air flow sensor is hard to see forever, the air box has been disconnected so it's definitely sucking unmetered air into the throttle body so no big deal, no big deal, it's perfect, It's a car I wouldn't even think of putting in again. road there is too much damage even this side is damaged I don't know how you can see it but it is scratched all over the side this car is not worth it it has some hail damage pre-existing hail damage it is perfect donor car for who we are and what we we're doing, so stay tuned everyone because I think we're going to get this at a really good price.
Now this is what I need here guys, now I can tell you this after hauling a couple of cars. To Mike's the other day I drove over 200 miles with loaded cars and well, it's not good. I drove a hundred miles with loaded cars 100 miles with an empty trailer basically and that truck, although it moves very well once you're on the road. let me tell you something, getting on the road is a scary, scary situation, it's powerless, I mean, if you lose your family jewels, if you know what I mean, as soon as you put five six thousand pounds in the back, but of course.
An F-150 is not made to perform like this, so here we have what I would really like. I mean, this is perfect, an f250 Super Duty and I'm not picky. I don't care if it's a Ford. I'm not a Ford. Dude, I'm not really a Chevy guy, I'm not really a Dodge guy, I'll take anything, man, what I need is a truck that's built to run, that's right, the Super Duty here, it fits and it's got some damage, but honestly, I wouldn't even fix it, man, it's a work truck. I'm not going to do anything with this except put it to work in the box.
I don't know how well you can see this, but the box is just folded here, obviously. the bed needs to be replaced and you can see the bed is definitely chewed up here so check this out ooh yeah and hey there may be a chance of damage to the frame. I don't know, honestly, although I don't care, I'm serious. It still looks great, it's still a very clean truck, let's take a quick look underneath, but what is this? It's like a step. I don't know, don't make any more trucks. We have all our little connectors here.
You have your round. I have just your rectangle, everything underneath here really looks good. Oh, okay, this is perfect. How many beds are a little larger than you would prefer? I know some people love these long beds, but I actually prefer a shorter bed, it's this air travel, ladies and gentlemen, this thing got. an aerial ride on it, look at this, the air suspension goes up and down, very interesting. I didn't see that and I'm not a big fan of it being all wheel drive either. I prefer a two wheel drive. Look inside let's see what the miles are, it's a very nice truck really, forgive me for the problems with the lights, no check engine lights on either, nothing.
Wow, let's put it in drive, drive, reverse, gear six. -automatic speed I like it I like it looks like it has about one hundred and forty-six thousand miles on the clock 144,000 does the job of the air conditioning let's see, we have two wheels, four wheels and a differential lock okay, let's test the air conditioning here that's important , oh yeah, ice cream, the air is already freezing, this is nice, unfortunately with all the things I'm doing now, I don't think I can afford this, what's with a big old ball? Interesting, be curious, to know about That air suspension in the rear is self-leveling, it must be because I don't see any controls here for its 6.2 liters, maybe it is these buttons that are used to brake the trailer.
It has a built-in trailer brake, which is actually cool. I like this. truck man, really, really, we'll see what happens. I think this is a winner. the list, you know what I mean, I have a list and this is how it goes, so no, it won't be the rest of the vehicles, it will be a massacre, it's just the order things are going at the moment, obviously, This thing turned around, look, it put you. The driver's seat here, it's okay, right? I mean, just look around, how scary would that be, man, well it's a big parts truck, there's no doubt about that and the good news is there's no blood or anything all over the inside, so even though I'm I'm sure it was a traumatic experience.
I think the people in this came out well and that's always good, drive carefully. People look at the impact. This Silverado said goodbye. This is a Silverado oh nine, oh yeah. Push the front part towards the. door over here what a mess I can't

walk

very far and most of the damage is here anyway I'm not trying to put my shoes on man I can't hey I can't walk anywhere here it's a lake we had a delay it's been raining a lot lately . I doubt this will open like a champ, but look at the impact on the front of this and what happened to the roof, I don't know what.
He walked up and hit that thing, but look at that guy, okay, keep going, so while we're looking for the next car, I want to point out a couple of things to you real quick. I had a lot of people, I mean it seemed like 50./50 at the Sebring, you know, they gave up, some people surprise me a little, some people we're really saying screw it, we should put it together, half build it and sell it because it's A buyer beware. and as a car dealer, that's something Mike and I need to understand: buyer beware, let me tell you something.
Oklahoma is a buyer beware state, that is absolutely correct and the buyer is responsible for making sure the car they buy is what they are paying for, but there is one little thing that Mike has and it is a little thing that I have that is called moral when you go and see a frame repair, I mean, here's the thing, frames are very delicate, Mike, explain this to me, they are specifically designed to wrinkle. zones and they are designed to fold upon impact in a certain way, you can't go in and just throw in some steel, weld some metal to reinforce them, it doesn't work that way, and neither Mike nor I are going to risk our lives. name our reputation for messing up a car chassis repair that isn't even worth it, besides that I think the most important thing we need to focus on is that I personally couldn't bear to be responsible for finding out that someone died due to a repair that I did or a repair that Mike did, although I'm sure Mike could put it back together very efficiently, it's not worth it and it's not worth the risk for the person buying the car, there are no cars worth the someone's life, guys, okay, for those of you who were saying just put it together and send it and that's your problem.
I feel sorry for anyone who buys a car from you. This is not the place for that. Me and Mike will be responsible for putting it up. someone's life at risk for a fucking car sale, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life, honestly, I know, maybe most car dealerships, that's how things work, that's not how it works how we do things here, friends, we have morals and the best part of what we do. do and then I'll get back to the car videos. The best part about what Mike and I are doing is that even if we spend more money on cars than we should, do them right and we don't make as much profit from the sale of the car as we should if we put it together, you can watch these videos and make it possible that we make money from YouTube content so we can lose money on some cars. okay, what we get out of this is the ability to sell people like you good, solid, reliable cars at a reasonable price, sorry for a reasonable price, you won't find it at any other dealership, I guarantee it.
It's because we can afford to spend more money on these cars than we would even sell them for. Thanks to you great people who watch the videos and to YouTube who pays us for the video content. There is nothing better in the world when it comes to selling cars. I must say that there are many things better than that, but for me there is nothing better in the worldthan to be able to do what I love, which is buy, fix, sell cars and to be able to be legit and honest about it and to be able to say this car is garbage and we will not put it on the road, we will not sell it to any unsuspecting customer, you can sleep At night, you feel good about what you do and I want to thank each and every one of us. each of you for that and for the shady people out there, you can get out of the channel, be honest, we, I don't even need you here, I don't want people like that around, no, I don't like it. that you know how to half-repair a frame and then ship it to an unsuspecting buyer, you're kidding, these are innocent people, people with kids, moms, dads, brothers, sisters, you can get off my channel with that stuff because that's what it's not what we are. about here here is a beautiful money pit 2017, I mean Volkswagen Jetta Volkswagen, actually some people corrected me and told me it's not Volkswagen with a V, it's pronounced F like Volkswagen.
Did I understand correctly? If I did it right, tell me. If I messed it up again, well, I don't like it, this is a 2017 Jetta TSI pickup, this is a flood car, well, you know, you know I love flood cars, man, yeah. I really don't know why I don't know. why I love flood cars so much but you know everyone has their niche and mine is like I'm fascinated by this car it smells new 13,000 miles on the odometer friends this car doesn't smell bad at all. not detected and where they put it I don't see the key here at all uh-oh move the selector key not detected wait on the mark see the owner's manual well I don't know what to say I don't know where the key is Is this a practically new car?
God, don't tell me someone stole the damn key. I really hate that and Copart has been working very hard to keep this from being ridiculous. It says it starts so it has to have keys and there is no there isn't any key which really bothers me, it really doesn't, I couldn't afford this car anyway, this will go outside of what I have available at the moment but Still it's just an unnecessary hassle. I hate thieves. I really do. I hate thieves. I still hope we can find the key here. I would like to turn it on.
He says it starts. I want to hear it and sometimes Copart puts the key in here but they don't so someone ran away with it. yeah well we'll open the hood anyway he says it starts. I was hoping we could get it started and see if it moves and I'll tell you why I bought a car like Copart, they have been flooding cars and it started, ran and drove fine, why they were listed as no start, no gear, no drive. I couldn't tell you where the hood relief is, but what I can't tell you for sure is that some of these cars may say they just start but they actually run and drive fine, you know, it's not always like that, but you can get lucky, you it helps to know it helps you get lucky if you actually come here and look at the cars you know what I mean that definitely helps the oil is clean and it's not too full I mean it only has 13,000 miles on it really how much could be bad?
Everything looks very good down here, very good, well, I was hoping to show you this car. Starting out, this will probably turn out to be a great deal for someone you know after you pay for the keys and remember, remember Copart, although the listing may show you have keys and since this starts you obviously had keys. Copart does not guarantee at least on yard 18 here in Oklahoma City and I think several other places, maybe all, but if you end up buying something like this and you get here and find that there are no keys, Copart does not guarantee the keys, Guys, not in every yard, so it's important to come here and check everything out firsthand.
Did I mention I really hate thieves? I really hate thieves. My fiancé just corrected me again. It's Volkswagen Volkswagen, you get it right here. We have some kind of butchery 2015 Lincoln Navigator. Not bad, although this is a start. I just wanted to check it out so I don't think I've seen one of the newer browsers and since they got one I wanted to take the opportunity to check it out. This is the L so extended wheelbase ecoboost please tell me it has a v8 under the hood and not a v6 that's something that really just been a.
I mean I understand Ford has a pretty powerful EcoBoost v6 but I don't know maybe I'm just old school and I hope big vehicles come with v8s now hey if you want to use that hood it's stuck if you want a turbocharged forced induction idiot or overfed, are you kidding me so I can't? Oh wow hey you want a force and duct you want a force induction a v8 do it but it's like something big like this I mean you need to have a v8 you really need it I want to play with it I can't open the door right the door won't It's locked.
The door is broken, right? It won't open at all and it's of no use because the battery is dead and I can't reach the hood release mechanism. I don't think he's trying well. I think so. Got it, I'm going to get too close, there's blood all over the airbag, okay let's see, is it a v6 EcoBoost or did they do it right and push the v8? Damn, what do you say folks, v6 or v8, that's an awfully small looking engine. Looks like a V6 to me, oh look this battery is disconnected and it's corroded so I'm not going to ruin that now we have the emissions label here and it says 3.5 liters and that means it's a V6.
Well, only you can prevent forest fires. here we have some 2015 Volkswagen

carnage

I'm trying to say no, this is not like my second legs. They're yelling at me because I'm not saying it's okay, GTI wagon friends, they get mad at me, we call it. Volkswagen here in the United States and in fact a lot of Americans call it Volkswagen, like it's volt voltage, they call it Volkswagen. You know, I think we can fix this so the frame rail points the way it's supposed to. Pointing in this direction, I think if we hit it with a good enough hammer, we can knock this sucker back down, find a spare car, just put another front end on it, you know, and hey, if someone dies in an accident because they we fix It would be nice, it would be nice, right, no, no, that's why we're not going to play with cars like this, although it looks like it was a really nice car.
Actually, I like the little thing, I mean, I'm not. I'm a big fan of the checkered interior, okay, that man, yeah, no, not so much, but the rest, the rest is a nice car, we won't even try to start it, okay, obviously, it won't work, we won't. I'll try it, but I want to see if anything shows up under the hood. If something appears. No, on the board. Nothing at all. Looks like it was a fun car. I bet it was a blast to drive. If any of you have one of these. I've ever driven one, this car looks like a lot of fun.
I would really enjoy having something like this. It used to be a nice Jeep Wrangler. I think it's a '15 or '16 Jeep Wrangler. Obviously the repair shop has already started tearing it down and obviously. The insurance company said we weren't done, no more. I mean, at least they took care to cover everything with duct tape to make sure that rodents and any moisture didn't get in as best they could. Anyway, this upside down alternator is the alternator. it's mounted backwards that's different ok this doesn't look too bad of course we still have the back and I see duct tape on the back so I'm going to assume something happened back there the driver's door is closed with key, oh.
Wow, it comes with parts, oh, this is a right-hand drive Jeep, oh, this is bad, mmm, you have one. I think they're probably strobes. It's got a lot of parts here guys, it's a bumper, it looks like some lights are still in good shape. form parts bags with labels battery how cool is that guy, whoever this body shop is, he would hug you right now, he really would, okay the hatch is gone, that's weird, so I guess something hit him here, no, this is it. this is strange this is strange it looks like we have fenders okay so the fenders look creaky there are a lot of pieces here it's hard to see what we have it looks like we have the bumpers here also the radiator cooling fan and this would be the front bumper.
I guess how cool this is. I definitely feel like the direction has some issues. It feels a little clumsy. This is cool though I like it. What do you think? Comment below. I like it. The Wrangler is great. I also really like fire engines. I won't buy a fire engine, but hey, the fire Lincoln. We bought the fire Lincoln because it wasn't a big fire. This is a big fire. The only reason I am. I'm showing it because I haven't seen one of these here before this is your taurus show it's a 2011 Oh man I love this stuff I really do boy and you should smell this it actually smells really good there's your battery that I used to be your battery anyway, that's very good, very good, you have your turbo charger down here, your coolers, oil coolers, I meant oil feed and return lines, not oil.
Oh, look at the interior, it actually looks like the interior survived, the interior came out okay, well, not everything, ah. someone wants to fall asleep with the muffins in their hands just say no to smoking and it's bad for you I haven't smoked a cigarette and I don't know for six months well what an interesting smell this has inside, a mixture of water with mold and mildew, not nice SH oh, I've never driven one of these. I would really like, I bet, I bet these cars are a lot of fun. There's that EcoBoost again, Ford. It makes me wonder, though I can.
I don't remember if this is a twin turbo the SH O I really don't remember the comment below the comment below help me it's the SHL a twin turbo car I think it's man I bet this was fun how cool, it's cool. family car and a great sports car at the same time, it's perfect, how about a 2008 Jeep Wrangler, this one, this one? I think it's pretty obvious what happened to it, yeah, take a look at it here and well, it looks like a tree or a telephone pole or something. something else fell right on top of him and did considerable damage.
The front of this Jeep is not straight. It's a front end of the Jeep that's facing up toward the sky, so there's definitely some serious damage down there. Wow, whoever connected all this. up I don't know if you can see that mess that rat's nest that's horrible, horrible, you were just asking for a fire anyway, I love that people just throw things together and hope for the best, especially when it comes to all this wiring, look at all this electrical wiring they have trapped in the door, okay that's not bad enough, you destroyed everything with the battery, everything is trapped where the door opens and closes, that's stupid, that's stupid, that's really stupid.
In fact, I used to work for a company. I did professional installations on two-way radios for police cars and ambulances and I did that when I was a kid. It's like a trade that I learned when I was a child doing these things with my father. The reason you don't run. your wires through a door like this, look at these wires, guys, see how they're pinched, pinched like this? This is a fire hazard man and look at these wires working, look at this, what are they doing? Man, do you know what you're doing? You could cut a lot of these cables if you drilled a hole through the firewall somewhere and used a small grommet.
There are nice little rubber grommets you can buy and you run the cable through these grommets and then you don't I don't have pinched cables like this look it's just all pinched in there please guys don't make cables like that that It's ridiculous, look at this, look, look at everything, just tape, just duct tape and shitty wires everywhere, whoever owns this. you didn't deserve it you didn't deserve it because you didn't know what you were doing and here you go, it all depends on a little switch, a cheap rocker switch, absolutely garbage here we have a 2012 Chevy Silverado z71 and it's not really a

carnage

, but it definitely got a Pretty hard hit in the front, the hood doesn't move very far and this is a car with great parts and that's about as far as I can hope for.
When you close the hood, it is a car with excellent parts, it really is more. you will most likely see it says start s4 so start it most likely the transmissions are fine the body is pretty well filmed i mean the whole side the front the bed you know Copart is great because there are a lot of different vehicles that you can choose from and there are a lot of them here that you can DIY and repair yourself and there really isn't much to do, you can get a great deal on a car here no, this is not sponsored content, It's just that I see, I saw this car and it made me think that some cars are not supposed to go back on the road and are perfect for parts.
I can't open this door either, like this one, this one doesn't belong on the road, it's great for parts now if you have a professional workshop, a business, you know a frame machine and you're skilled, you're trained in the right way to do repairs like this, you can do it and you choose to do it. That's different, but a lot. of you whoprobably a lot of things under here, cooling system stuff is probably damaged too, yeah it's hard to see because everything is so smashed up here, but this doesn't seem that bad, what do you think?
Wow, why are the windows broken? This window is completely smashed. It's crazy. I better be very careful when I get on this one. I don't want to. Damn, we don't have bags deployed so it's good, the steering still feels tight, unfortunately it's dead as a doornail, but this car looks pretty good. I think this is one that could be fixed. Allah, keep an eye on this one, see if perhaps it is so. something we could fit into the budget oh, I see something happened here and broke the window. I didn't see that until now. It's got a pretty good dent right there, so I'd say that's what broke. the window there I'm not exactly sure how that happened because the rest of the car looks good anyway comment what you think about the little focus.
I think this would be a pretty easy rebuild and I think it would be a great car for someone, last but not least the 2016 Mazda 6 touring and me. I've told you a million times, unfortunately, I don't have the budget for all of this right now. I'm very limited in what I'm able to do, what I'm able to bid and buy, but some of you are out. i have the money to get into some of this stuff it looks like the hood is closed you know something like this it doesn't look too bad it doesn't look like it needed a terribly hard hit to the front the frame rail looks good now the subframe has an It doesn't mean you have to replace the subframe and in fact I think what they were saying is there's an .
I know it's not like we have a damaged frame or anything, a little bit of damage to the fender right here. I can feel it, this is not something you would even notice. I'm telling you, you wouldn't even notice, so scratch the hood. probably needs to be fixed, maybe even replaced, obviously the hood hinges are broken. You can see the lines here are good, the door lines are good, the hood lines are not, so obviously we have a problem with the hood and the hinges. Look here, the hood definitely needs to be replaced to replace the hood, replace the hood hinges, the fender, fenders with fender liner, scratches like this, I wouldn't worry about, little dings and things I wouldn't even worry about, I just Check all that off and forget it, otherwise this is a great looking car.
I think this is a great project, a perfect rebuild, it's something that shouldn't require a ton of work or a ton of money, just a little time, patience and effort. and this would be a great car, this would be a wonderful car, let's see if it turns on and see if we can blow up the guy in the hood, whoever is in this was low, of course, he's dead, yeah, he's dead, we got a one too chance. the screen here I think something's happening there it doesn't look like it's completely gone maybe just a scratch either way we'll see if the little pop four is here and let's take a look there we go, we go, oh Here we go, yeah, everything below it looks very, very good.
I think this would be a very easy solution, guys. Oh, that hood is very heavy. I like it. If I had extra money, I'd get on this. It would be very fun. project, it's a great looking car, I love the color, a really deep blue, it's beautiful, beautiful car, so that'll be it for this week's Copart walk again. Big shout out to yard 18, all the management here and the employees here who deal with me on a regular basis, oh man, they're bringing another dodge, sorry, sidetrack, yeah, I need, I need to focus on that, be careful not to bid for things just because I see it appear on auction day.
I have a bad habit about impulse control and sometimes I get into trouble, but hey, again, thanks to everyone here at Copart and the corporate office for allowing me to do this. I certainly appreciate it. I know my viewers appreciate it too. I am out of here. Comment below. Did you think about this week's ride and tell me which car you thought was the favorite car and we'll see what happens when the auction days roll around. I really hope you at least need to get that blue Dodge Dart because I desperately need the engine and transmission right now, so let's keep our fingers crossed that ladies and gentlemen, once we get that car, we can get started on what's called rebuild, yeah, yeah, we're going to take an engine out of a two-car transmission and we're going to swap them in, that should be a lot of fun.
In fact, I'm looking forward to putting the elevator to use. Go get an engine lift. We'll definitely need some other tools as well. It could be a lot of fun, stay tuned everyone and until next time stay safe. I'll see you very soon in the next one.
