Now this car is driven daily, spends most of its life on the road and is black as you can see, it is dirty but also full of scratches and swelling. marks, this can be caused by bugs and sand while driving or improper washing, so let's move on to the first step which is rinsing the car.

I'm using an electric pressure washer with a 1600 psi. It's not super powerful, but it's enough to do a lot of damage. You still have to be careful with paint chips that are already on the car because the power cord can hit those edges and lift the paint. causing a big problem now that the car is rinsed. Now we are going to rinse the car, dry it and then we are going to bring it inside to start the decontamination step, so since I know this car goes on the road a lot and after inspecting it I knew that the paint was covered in contaminants, I will do a decontamination with clay and chemicals. There is much debate about which one to use. Do it first, but I personally like to decontaminate the chemical first because it makes cleaning the car a little faster. I will use a product called iron x by car pro, just spray it on, let it pierce for four or five minutes and it will do it.

It turns purple when it reacts to metallic contaminants attached to the paint and then you rinse the car and then start applying clay. The clay will pick up any leftover contaminants stuck to the paint, so you will need some type of lubrication when you make the clay. using mcguire's quick detailer i spray the clay and then spray it onto the surface of the car and then using a back and forth motion it will be sandy at first but then after a couple of passes it will become more and more softer, so I'll show you in a second, just by applying clay to a panel, how much stuff could still be left in your paint even after rinsing, washing, and chemically decontaminating.

Hey guys, now that the car is washed, chemically decontaminated and clay-free, we brought it inside and now it's time to The compound we will use is a grit from a polisher with a microfiber cutting disc. The Volkswagen paint is a little harsh so we want something a little more aggressive and I'm going to use a full compound here and then after it's compounded. finished, I'm going to polish the car and then prep it using ipa wash and then we'll move on to the

as I found it necessary to use microfiber pads. There is an extra step compared to foam pads and that is to prepare the car. pads, so what you want to do is just rub the compound into all of the fibers and then add the three or four drops of compound that you're going to use, so first you just want to apply it onto the paint and then at a slow speed of about all three spread the compound to work it.

I move speed five or six and then slowly move the da with a little bit of pressure and a cross hatch pattern. The slower you move the da the more correction the faster the less correction and you just want to Continue this process panel by panel working with about a 2x2 area at a time right there you see me using a pad brush and what it does is it helps to lift the bristles of the pad again, so after using it for a couple run the pad. It will flatten out and be a little less effective, so you need to stop and brush the pad from time to time, since I don't have a polisher three inches or smaller, I will make the areas smaller and tighter by hand. using an orange correction pad and the same compound, so I only taped the rubber areas that are a little more exposed and are more likely to be hit by the pad, so these areas here I'm taping and You just don't want the compound to touch it because it will actually turn the rubber white, so it saves you a lot of trouble later.

You don't clean as you can see here there is some paint transferred on the rear bumpers and with the da it's very easy to go through me so our next step is going to be to polish the vehicle because mixing it will leave the paint a little cloudy so you need to polish to restore that shine to the vehicle and it's the same steps, uh, three or four pieces. small drops of the polish onto the pad where you're going to use a polishing pad this time instead of a microfiber pad and still use that cross hatch pattern oh again here for those smaller areas I'm using a hand pad on This time.

It is black, which is for polishing. Oh I'm going to take an extra step to polish and correct a little bit of light on the headlights and taillights and I'm actually going to use a one step polish that has wax in it so also add a little bit of protection . I'm going to use an orange correction pad that is a little more aggressive than the polishing pad to help remove some smaller scratches and oxidation on the lenses after 10 hours of compounding and polishing the lenses. car we have one more step to prepare before we apply the ceramic coating and that is an ipa wash so for the ipa it is literally just 50 water and 50 isopropyl alcohol and you just spray it on the paint and then wipe it lightly with a microfiber towel. and this simply removes the polishing oils and helps the ceramic coating really adhere to the paint.

Finally, last step of the detailed ceramic coating. I know it's been a long process and video, so thank you if you stayed this far, I'm really sorry. This was a great opportunity to show them that you can also tile with ceramic if you do the prep work.
