Chocolate Covered Strawberries How To Dip & Decorate

Feb 25, 2020
Hello everyone welcome to pretty cupcakes today we are going to learn how to make

chocolate

covered

strawberries

for Valentine's Day or for any occasion and I have already prewashed our

strawberries

so that they are well washed and when you wash them I always want to make sure to go under the leaves because you can always find some dead leaves there and you don't want any of that so always make sure you are in some well and pat them dry so the mines are already dry. also and what I'm going to use to transfer them to the refrigerator for a while is just have some parchment paper with the tray so let's get started what I like to use is actually a toothpick so let's go.

Go ahead and insert your toothpick, not directly into that little center there, but right to the side and you'll want to hold it like that. I feel this method works best for me, it can go all the way. to the top because I don't like seeing strawberries halfway up here, it just doesn't look very pretty to me, but it's a preference for you, so yeah, that's how we're going to dip it and you'll never want to get there. toothpicks like this because that little piece there can go into your strawberry and you'll get into a lot of trouble, so always throw it away, always double check that it's okay, so now that our strawberries are ready with the toothpick, you're going to start dipping and you always want to make sure that your

chocolate

is not hot like you want it to be warm, okay let's start dipping so again grab it by the stems and you just want to go from side to side.

I just want to shake off the excess so we're done dipping all the strawberries so now I'm going to clean up a little bit and I'll be right back while the chocolate

covered

strawberries are in the fridge we're going to start decorating I mean you can do lots of different types of decorating, but what I like to do is make pretzels and dip them in chocolate, cover them halfway and then drizzle them with a little bit of chocolate, so let's move on. and do that and I'll show you, so all you have to do is take your chocolate, take your pencil in the middle, take it out, shake off the excess and then just grab a toothpick, poke a hole in the middle, that's it and place it.

Your parchment paper is fine, so let's start with the drizzle, so what I like to use is to

decorate

bags, but you can also use parchment paper and just put them in little cones. I can show you a video later if you want to see it. please let me know in the comments, just put the chocolate in your decorating bag and that's it, and you want to make sure your chocolate is still nice, still liquid, you don't want it to harden or anything because then it will harden in the bag, always you'll want to make sure you put a piece of parchment paper on the bottom so when it drizzles you can easily throw it away or you can also do it on the counter, I mean it's optional to use just a little bit more to deal with but all you have to do is if you drizzle, you know you have a big mess, you just scrape it off, you just go ahead and throw it away, I mean, or you can do it, you can do either, so I'm going to go the easier route and use the paper parchment to place the chocolate in the decorative bag.

You can place it in a cup to make it a little easier or you can simply place it over your hand towards you. It's really okay, so go ahead and add your chocolate. I'm going to add a little bit, you don't need that much, so I'm going to start with my white color and then I'm going to go ahead and do my red, you don't want to add the red on your back yet just because it's going to take a little time to write it in there and stuff, so in case your red hardens, you don't want that. so just wait, let me add that, go ahead and cut a little tip, okay, so this hole is too small, you can tell because it's like making this little ribbon at the bottom and it's too small still, okay, that is better.
Okay, I'm going to go ahead and drizzle this one, so when you're scooping out the chocolate, you just want to go ahead and squeeze, move your hand, move your wrist and that's it, now we're going to the next step. I'm going to do the whites and these wet ones are going to be sprinkled with white and I'm going to add rose gold diamond dust, so we're going to do the same thing with the light, there you have it. we're going to want to work quickly on this one so go ahead and spray and we'll add the disco powder shake off the excess and move on to the next spray and we can always reuse the glitter that's why I added a parchment paper so it doesn't go to waste because it's quite expensive so we come back with these and they're all dry so what you're going to want to do is grab a A little brush like this I found on Amazon I think it was in a six pack but all you want to do is grab that little one brush and go between the layers of drizzle, I just want to be careful and that's it.
If I can bring it closer like this, you can always find different colors of glitter. I mean, there are so many options available, you just have to be creative, do your own thing, this is super nice for Valentine's Day, whether you're selling. or just make it as a gift for your boyfriend and parents. I mean, you can give these strawberries to anyone and I feel like they'll appreciate all the details you put into them because I mean, look at these berries. they are so glamorous, they are really cute, I mean you don't have to go into details and remove them like every thing, but just remove what you can and you also have to keep in mind that the glitter gets everywhere, so be careful, be careful because it's a pain to pick up there you go alright guys so all the strawberries are dusted look how beautiful they are they are so pretty I love them so here's another tip put the strawberries to the side always make sure that your surface is always clean so let's not waste any of this because all of this can be used again just go ahead and maybe you can even use your brush put them down get everything you can it's expensive okay so I'm going to save that for another day so for the pretzels all I did was go ahead and sprinkle them with white and I had a great idea so I'm going to go ahead and take the edible powder and I'm just going to put them in there, I'm going to put some powder in there I'll bring one so you can see it up close if you can see that glitter there you have it it's a nice touch it's super cute okay so for the red I'm going to add the red with the white drizzle and all I'm going to do to do is stick it in with a toothpick just put some white chocolate in there add the white to one of these white sprinkles make sure it's centered and ready go ahead and take the glitter you can add a little bit more okay and that's it they're done all ready.
I'm going to set them aside, so I think I'm going to use these white paper liners here, you, you, like this and there you go guys, that's the box, I'm going to set this aside, okay guys, so now We finished, this is what the box looks like, it's beautiful, it's so pretty, I mean everything, down to the detail, look at that. It's lovely and I wouldn't put the tap in there, I mean it's optional, you can, but it won't go all the way down unless you put that little shredded paper further towards the bottom, you can definitely turn it off, but I would just put it.
Do it like this, you know, give it as a gift. Put a nice bow right here on each side. This is a great Valentine's Day gift for your loved one, for your family members, for a friend, have fun, be creative, so yeah.
